(Until Mayhem) An International Bestseller She was my princess.I was her psycho. Two worlds colliding with a BOOM.There was a sh*tstorm brewing. Whispers. Rumbles. A rot—fueled by greed and protected by corruption—that’d seeped like sewage, eating away at everything it touched. The only people I trusted were my brother by blood, my brothers by patch, and the crazy Irish-Scottish bastard I did jobs … Irish-Scottish bastard I did jobs for.
That was why, when the hot-as-hell blonde started trailing my brothers and me, I had to act.
Maybe Ophelia Kline was working with the enemy—playing me with lies from that damn mouth. Or maybe she was innocent—caught in the spread of toxic rot.
Either way, she was mine. And when push came to glock-in-the-face, I wouldn’t let her go.
Because all good relationships start with a BOOM and a little kidnapping… right?

This is a Happily Ever Alpha novella featuring crossover from the Hyde Series and Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Until Series. It can be read as a standalone, but it’s recommended you read Until Nox first since a certain accented someone shows up often.
Warning: Not recommended for readers under the age of 18 due to alllll the good things: Adult language. Adult situations. Biker hotties who work in the gray. And an OTT hero who knows what he wants when he gets hit by the BOOM.

Until Mayhem by Layla Frost is the story of Ophelia and Judge. This is part of the Happily Ever Alpha Series and can be read as a standalone, but the past characters due intertwine in this book.
Judge thinks Ophelia was following them and is a possible set up girl to get information from the club. So he kidnaps her but he is also having the ‘Boom’ experience where he is immediately smitten with her. Ophelia isn’t sure what is going on nor how to prove she isn’t who they think she is but she does find the scenery not to bad. But it only takes a few hours for everything to be cleared up except for Judge not wanting to give her up.
Layla Frost continues to prove she is amazing at this craft that we call writing. She weaves a story that will have you craving more and not putting the book down until its done and then sad that you did finish it so quickly. I truly hope that she continues with this world she started with the Mayhem MC. A simple grocery trip turns into a bit more for Ophelia. It all started before she even walked in the store, having spotted an amazingly hot biker, she somehow ends up following them around a bit, that is until they go down an aisle she didn’t need anything down, after all she isn’t a stalker. It isn’t until the trip is over that the hot biker wants to know just why she was following them. The moment that Judge spotted Ophelia the boom hit, he didn’t have a clue who she was, he just knew that there was something there and he was going to investigate it. Unsure if she is innocent or if she was sent to try and infiltrate the MC, Judge takes this seriously and decides that until he figures out just what and who she is, a little kidnapping seem to be in order.
What a read! I loved everything about this, from Ophelia and her bit of sassiness to Judge and his alpha ways. Drama, danger, violence, some freaking hot as Hades naughty bits (gotta keep it clean for amazon). Layla Frost is amazing and I love that ARR invited her once again to be a part of her world. I give this 5 stars.
Quick, fun read
I read this via my ku subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is part of the Hyde Series and Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series. Characters from both storylines are part of this book. It is a fast moving, MC lite story.
**Triggers**
kidnapping, murder, drug running, brief talk of domestic violence
**Spoilers**
Ophelia, spots a group of hot biker guys and tries to follow them so she can keep looking. Stealthy this girl is not.
Judge, catches the girl staring but thinks she might be working for the enemy and decides to kidnap her to find out.
Of course Ophelia is scared at being grabbed but that soons turns to anger. Judge has Nox check her out and even though she appears innocent, he wants to keep her.
Drama action. Sexy times. HEA
Judge 3.5 Ophelia 4 Story 3.5
Boom! It’ll sneak up on you and hit when least expect it. Judge is the perfect example of that. He’s also the perfect example that when the boom hits you will do whatever it takes to keep her.
O is so funny! Her shit-talking skills are my favorite. She may be funny but she is a feisty little thing and she made the best h for Judge.
Well done!
I usually don’t read these “World” books, unless Layla Frost has written them. I loved Until Knox and I absolutely LOVED Until Mayhem. Judge and Ophelia are characters you immediately fall in love in with.
There are amazing one-liners that will have you absolutely obsessing over Layla Frost! Ophelia is perhaps one of my top heroines this year because she is absolutely the perfect amount of sass and wit. I absolutely adored her. Judge was just as impressive. He was just the perfect balance of everything you look for in a hero. He was all kinda of dirty talking sexy AF BAE!
The plot was much more developed than I had anticipated. This is a brilliant full story and I will definitely be reading any future world books Frost participates in.
Until Mayhem wasn’t just a boom it was a nuclear explosion. This is my first book by Layla Frost and I think my one click addiction will be heading her way after finishing this book. Judge and Ophelia’s story is addictive, captivating and downright mesmerizing. An action packed romance full of immense passion, steamy scenes and just the right amount of grit to have you on the edge of your seat. If it is an alpha male with just the right amount of heart and crazy to keep a sassy Princess with the inner strength of a biker happy, then Until Mayhem is waiting for you to devour.
This is part of the Until books under Aurora Rose Reynold’s World by Layla Frost. It is also a crossover from one of Layla’s other series.
The Boom! It’s real and this was a sexy as hell rendition from a brand new to me author Layla Frost. After a lot of great word of mouth I decided to give this book and author a try…. so freaking happy I did.
The book tells the story of Judge and Ophelia and how quickly the boom takes over. The story was so well written that I could not put it down. I’m a self proclaimed queen of short reads, and I will not pick up a book over 100 pages unless it is worth it. This book was so divine.
The story was so greatly written, the characters drew you in.from page one and Ophelia was such a badass! I often find heroines as secondary characters because there’s no depth to them, but she stole the show.
Judge was right there with her and I love a psycho! I have found a new favorite author and these are the books that make me happy to have taken a chance on something new. I’m obsessed. I recommend this book to everyone!!
This is also now on my top MC books of 2019! Can this have 100 stars? No? Fine 5 stars indeed!
I didn’t think anyone could top Nox for me, but man, oh man, Judge really gives him a run for his money! I loved Ophelia and Judge together! They had great chemistry and gave good banter. The Princess and the Psycho come together in a most unconventional way and end up experiencing a “boom” of epic proportions! I love this series hard and can’t wait to see what comes next.
*you should definitely read Until Nox before this one because they flow better that way and also because NOX IS AWESOME.
I’ll be honest. I love Layla Frost so much. She will always be a one click for me. Always. Until Mayhem is a novella that features the story of Judge and Ophelia. This book is mini-slow burn that allows you to get to know the characters separately and as a couple before they jump into bed. Don’t worry though, she doesn’t make us wait too long. You’re sucked in immediately in the first page because Layla has a talent with creating quirky, adorable but hilarious heroines. While her hero’s are alphaholes who you can’t help but fall in love with.
This is a great book if you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, keep you riveting from the first page and is steamy and hot.
Order this book now, you won’t be disappointed.
Ophelia and Judge aka Pyscho was such a great couple. These 2 made me laugh and love all the way through this book. I kept giving virtual high fives to Judge because no matter what he was open and honest with Ophelia even when his brothers were cautious. Loved this story!
This book is one of my favourites in this series. I fucking loved Nox so much but Judge definitely gave him a knock frim his pedestal.
This book knocked my socks of. I loved it from start to finish. Judge is the perfect tattooed Alpha Hotty with a heart of gold. He goes after what he wants and protects his woman like his life depends in it.
Ophelia is such a sweetheart with a dirty mind, she is the absolute perfect match for a man like Judge. She fits in perfectly with his MC and his Friends as well.
Loved getting a glimpse of Nox , Jake and all the other guys we love and adore…
Enjoy this book ladies its absolutely outstanding….
I absolutely loved everything that is Ophelia and Judge! Their story was short but fulfilling and as always leaving me wanting more. I hope to see them again in a future book.
So of course before I start my review I have to say thank you to the always amazing Layla Frost. She was dope enough to let me “minterview” her for my Feature Friday post(check it out if you haven’t) and she has always been beyond cool. Not everyone gets the chance to receive an ARC and I was one of those lucky ones. So just in case you haven’t heard it enough from me lately, thank you “ALotta Wild … Miss Wild cuz I’m nasty”, you totally rock my socks! lol
Now, on to the good stuff …
From magicks to motorcycles, Layla always knocks it out of the park. And Until Mayhem is no exception. She is never lacking in the alpha department and right behind them, or in front—all sexual innuendo implied—is a smart mouth and sassy heroine waiting to tear shit up. You don’t believe me? Well, let’s take a closer look at the Psycho and his Princess shall we?
Set with her shopping list in hand, all Ophelia needed was to grab a few things and head home. Little did she know those plans would drastically change once she got to the grocery store. And by drastically, I mean holy biker hotness.
Heading to the store with his brothers wasn’t suppose to turn out the way it did, but Judge can’t say that he’s upset about it, especially when he spots what looks to be his next adventure. Not sure if he can trust her intentions just yet, he goes complete off script. But he’s certain that when it’s all said and done, he can turn his hostile hostage into a willing captive; just like the psycho she thinks he is.
As soon as I started Ophelia and Judge’s story I was hooked, lined and sunk. I mean, one minute we’re in a grocery store parking lot and the next we’re in the back of a van and on our way to a compound. There was never a lack of excitement and there never a lull in their story, but most importantly their story was complete. It wasn’t all excitement or all sadness or all sex, it was through and through, a Layla Frost story. She gives you the visual aspect of being able to picture scenes, which I always appreciate in her writing and with that seems to be the ability to hear the characters as they speak. Or in Judge’s case grunt. Now, I don’t know about you, but hearing Judge grunt while doing the nasty is definite spank bank material. Speaking of spanking, let’s stay on sex for a bit, because these scenes were blazing hot! I’m talking melt your panties off or leave them at the door kind of hot!!! Or how about don’t even waste your time wearing any, kind of hot. Judge just rips them off anyway.
Any who, unpopular opinion, Ophelia was the psycho first because she was stalking Judge around the grocery store. Don’t at me bro, yes I said it! She’s just mad she got caught and was a bad shit talker and was called out on it. I mean, all in all, it landed her it an awesome position, or positions—more sexual innuendo implied.
Overall, Until Mayhem was too much fun. It was captivating and a total page turner. There was a lot of ego, but more compassion and when alpha and heroine clash, it makes for the best type BOOM! I was thrilled I got to hear from my favorite Irishman, Nox and my favorite badass Mayson, Nico. And I am super excited to see where these sexy as hell bikers take me next. If you have to grab yourself a copy, I have no idea what you’re waiting for but a copy NOW!!!!

I liked visiting some previous characters from Hyde series! It was like visiting old friends. I also loved the couple in this book. I liked how quirky the heroine was and hero was her “psycho”. I liked their interactions. They were fun to read. I hope we get to read about the brother next!
4-4.25 stars. This was such a good book! Unti Mayhem is Ophelia and Judge’s story. Judge is the president of the Mayhem motorcycle club. He and a few of his MC brothers are at a grocery store when Ophelia spots them. She sees how hot Judge is and is drawn to him so much that she can’t keep her eyes off him in the store. But Judge thinks that she is tailing him and that she was possibly sent by his enemies to spy on him or worse. So, like all smart bikers do, Judge decides to kidnap Ophelia and take her to his MC headquarters to find out what’s really going on. Ophelia can’t believe her wandering eyes have gotten her into this mess, but she is willing to make the most of it and fix the misunderstanding. As the two spend time together, sort out their differences and learn to trust each other, Judge is struck by the Boom for Ophelia and decides he isn’t going to let her go no matter what.
I loved Ms. Frost’s take on a motorcycle club and bikers. It was so fun to see such a badass biker as Judge get the Boom! He was so hot and sexy but still sweet to Ophelia. I really liked both Judge and Ophelia. She was a sassy sweetheart that found herself in an unexpected predicament and made the most of it. Once they figured out that they could trust each other, these two were so hot and fun together. They started their relationship with a slow burn, but once they got going, they were on fire. They had great banter and sass with each other and they ended up being such a cute couple. I really liked the side characters and the other bikers and would love to see more from this MC. The story and writing was very good and thoroughly entertaining.
Overall, Until Mayhem had sweetness, sexiness, humor and suspense. I really enjoyed it! I look forward to more from Ms. Frost in the future!
5 ‘ The Princess and her Psycho Biker’ Stars
OH. MY. WORLD!!! Talk about MC Romance PERFECTION!!! Mind blowingly extraordinary, that’s what Until Mayhem is. Judge and Ophelia are THE couple… Completely unforgettable!
Layla Frost manages every single time to up her game. For real, I couldn’t see a story and a character pack just a punch in this Happily Ever After World as Nox from Until Nox, well I can say I was completely mistaken because Judge is THE MAN!!!
Don’t wrong, I still adore the accented beast and he will be forever in my heart, but Judge is right there, next to him in the epicness of ALPHAS!!! He is the very definition jealous, possessive OTT Alpha. And I loved every second of it! Like every hero of Ms. Frost’s tales, Judge went straight to my best book boyfriends list, and if like myself you love a crazy obsessed male character – to the point of stalking and kidnapping his h, lol – with all the protectiveness, possessiveness, devotion and let’s not forget beyond HOT, then this book is definitely for you. You’ve got all that and then some! 😉
Not only do we have in Until Mayhem this OTT delicious alpha, but his perfect counter part in the female lead department. Ophelia is as witty, hilarious and appealingly relatable as Layla Frost’s usual female characters. The author truly has my kind of sense of humous, i.e. the most sarcastic the better, lol. I loved her thoughts, her comebacks and most of all their banter! Speaking of sexually charged foreplay… Oh boy… *cue fanning myself*
Until Mayhem is not only about this spectacular main couple, and their dynamic courtship, aka rollercoaster ride of love story, but also an incredible world build up. And the interconnection with Layla Frost Hyde series… OMG, it was FANTASTIC to see all the Hyde gang – specially MY MAN, Kase *cue heart eyes and drooling* – it was the perfect weaving of all the characters. Not only with LF past characters, but with future ones, because with the brilliant setting that was here established regarding Mayhem MC, and all these secondary characters, I am already craving all of their own stories, and the way Ms. Frost surpasses in every single one of her books all the expectation, I just know their stories are going to be epic. I just need them STAT!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Holy hotness(insert a drool emoji here).! Damn this author definitely knows how to write one hell of a book! We get a little bit of everything in this one from a little mystery to the HEA the hero and heroine get.
Ophelia is it heroine who gets involved with Judge or hero in an unorthodox kinda way. She is a strong woman who happens to stumble across a hot guy at the wrong or right time depends on how you look at the situation….. Judge is an ALPHA of a man that as soon as he sees her a switch flips to where he knows she will be his. Their relationship may start out unconventional, but no one is going to stand in his way of getting what he wants. Now Ophelia doesn’t make it to easy for him, but she does make him work a little for it. I’m telling you if you want a knock your socks off melt your kindle kinda story, then this would be just the perfect addition for you to add to your collection.
“Holy. Biker. Hotness.” I can’t describe this book any better than the author’s own words. I swear every book she writes get better and each one becomes my new favorite. I suspect Judge and Ophelia are going to ride the top spot as favorite hero and heroine for a while as well. It’s a tough call between them and Nox and Gus. But then again in Ms. Frost’s own words:
”Slap a fookin’ beard on ya, shove a cigar in yer mouth, and yer fookin’ Nox: US edition.”
Ophelia never suspected that eyeing a couple of biker hotties at the local grocery store would lead to anything other than a moment of embarrassment. She certainly never expected it was going to change her life forever. When her biker hunger gets her into a whole lot of trouble she finds herself tossed upside down, turned inside out and completely in the dark, literally, as to what the heck is going on.
Scrubbing my palm down my face, I admitted, “I don’t f@ckin’ know. Saw her as soon as we pulled in, and it was like…boom. Something just f@ckin’ hit me.”
Judge saw her from the very first moment he pulled into the parking lot and even if his suspicions did play a part in his actions, it was what he would eventually learn was the “boom” that escalated his determination to make her his. Her sassy attitude and take no prisoners outlook solidified the deal for him. He was a goner and no one, not even her, was going to take her away from him.
”Sh!t-ton of blond hair, big gray eyes. Tiny thing, but a big f@ckin’ attitude. Like a princess who’d use her tiara to saw your d!ck off if you looked at her wrong.”
There is nothing I love more than a possessive, dirty talking, alpha hero and holy heck, Judge is all that and more. With a bit of biker slang, sexy smiles, and cocky assurance, he not only won Ophelia over, he won me as well.
I loved that even as he was all about protecting Ophelia, he didn’t run roughshod over her. Their relationship is laced with a wonderful mature humor that is sharp and smart, giving additional depth to the story. Ophelia was sweet and sassy and more than enough to stand up to a big bad tattooed biker dude. I laughed as she kept him on his toes even as he wanted to put her on her back, or against the wall.
I thought this was going to be a novella, but was pleasantly surprised when it was not. It is still a fast paced read and never slowed down. There is a bit of drama but it doesn’t really run the story although the club as well as Nox trying to stop a bad guy does add a bit of interest and potential danger.
With so much goodness coming from various avenues, I couldn’t get enough of this book and was disappointed that it ended. I was hoping for a bit of a resolution about that bad guy but I suspect it will follow through in what we’ve been promised is Lars’ story.
I highly recommend this book to any and everyone who enjoys a steamy romance with a bit of a slow burn (yes slow, despite that “boom”) with an unforgettable alpha hero and smart heroine. This is one of those that you can sit back and enjoy but will need to block out plenty of time to do so because once you start, you won’t want to stop.
Holy Boom on steroids, Batman! Let me preface this review with this quote.
“My life wasn’t Beauty and the Beast. I wasn’t going to be Stockholm Syndromed.”
Well, Ophelia, you totally were. And no one is complaining about it! The combination of Ms. Frost’s writing and the ARR Boom! universe was once again absolutely epic. I’m not going to go into details, but I will say that Until Mayhem gave me an early Kristen Ashley’s Chaos meets raunchy OTT Alexa Riley feel that I absolutely adored.
As usual, Ophelia was sweet, sassy, could absolutely kick ass and had a very filthy mind… The perfect Layla Frost heroine.
“I didn’t know anything about Judge’s boom, but I was eager to experience his bang.”
Judge was bossy biker perfection. It took him one look to decide to go after Ophelia, and he does not hold back. He was rough, followed his own code, but to his girl, he was a total teddy-bear… if they’re fond of kidnapping, that is.
Until Mayhem has everything you could ask for and more and considering this is novella sized, that’s saying something. I was having such an awesome time I didn’t want it to end! With action, a bit of intrigue, lots of hot bikers but one especially sexy and obsessed, sexnanigans galore and more than one appearance by my still most favorite Layla Frost hero, Nox I was in OTT romance heaven the whole time.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*
Woo Wee, was this book good. The alpha male was strong in this one but he wasn’t a jerky alpha male. The h was still allowed to be her own person and sassy. I love the way Layla writes heroines. They are always funny, witty, with just enough spice; Ophelia was no different. Ophelia captured Judges attention from the first time he met her but it wasn’t the typical caveman bonk her on the head drag her back to his cave type of Alpha. Although, he does want to protect her. I’m not sure how much more I can say without giving too much away. I highly recommend this book you won’t be sorry.
