She was my princess.I was her psycho. Two worlds colliding with a BOOM.There was a sh*tstorm brewing. Whispers. Rumbles. A rot—fueled by greed and protected by corruption—that’d seeped like sewage, eating away at everything it touched. The only people I trusted were my brother by blood, my brothers by patch, and the crazy Irish-Scottish bastard I did jobs for. That was why, when the hot-as-hell … when the hot-as-hell blonde started trailing my brothers and me, I had to act.
Maybe Ophelia Kline was working with the enemy—playing me with lies from that damn mouth. Or maybe she was innocent—caught in the spread of toxic rot.
Either way, she was mine. And when push came to glock-in-the-face, I wouldn’t let her go.
Because all good relationships start with a BOOM and a little kidnapping… right?

This is a Happily Ever Alpha novella featuring crossover from the Hyde Series and Aurora Rose Reynolds’ Until Series. It can be read as a standalone, but it’s recommended you read Until Nox first since a certain accented someone shows up often.
Warning: Not recommended for readers under the age of 18 due to alllll the good things: Adult language. Adult situations. Biker hotties who work in the gray. And an OTT hero who knows what he wants when he gets hit by the BOOM.

Sizzling Passion to the Biker and the Beauty
Sometimes being at the right place at the wrong time can have life changing results as Ophelia quickly learns. Judge takes one look at her and knows she is it for him – his O. Together, Judge and Ophelia, overcome a series of unexpected and intense situations on the way to their HEA. Their story intersects with both Layla Frost’s Hyde Series as well as Aurora Rose Reynolds’s Until Series which made the story more meaningful for fans of those series like myself! Well-written, Wonderful characters, Phenomenal read!
Ophelia never thought that checking out a hot tattooed biker would result in her being kidnapped. Judge never thought he would snatch a gorgeous chick from the grocery store but he couldn’t help himself. He told himself it was simply being cautious in case she was spying on them but he knew it was more. He had to have her in his clubhouse, his room, his life. To have it any other way was unthinkable. Ophelia didn’t want to like her captor or his friends. She didn’t want to be so drawn to him, to want to walk into his arms and have him never let go. Can feelings be real if it all started with a felony?
It has been a long, long time since I did everything in my power to drag out reading a book. I usually dive in and if I love it, I devour it. I straight up took 4 days to read Until Mayhem. I didn’t want it to end, I wanted to live in this story for the rest of my days! It is absolute perfection, funny and sweet, sexy as sin and I adored every word. Judge and Ophelia are so obviously perfect for each other. The dialogue, the sparks that fly off every moment that these two are together is magic. Layla Frost is a queen, she has gotten herself a fan for life. All the stars for Until Mayhem!
I am not sure if I am going to be able to come across how much I loved Judge and Ophelia’s story! Not only are we in Aurora Rose Reynold’s Happily Ever Alpha World but we see a return of the sexy accented hero Nox!
Even though the first meeting of Judge and Ophelia was quite unconventional, actually just plain crazy, I absolutely loved it! The covert, yet not so covert stalking results in a bit of kidnapping, or being “temporarily restrained.” What ensues is a whole lot of snarky “sh*t-talk” comebacks from a princess heroine and actions from a dirty talking, possessive bad-a$$ psycho biker that has met his “boom.” Their story started off on a misunderstanding but when they realize that something hinky is going on and Ophelia may actually be in danger, the possessive protector in Judge comes through and a whole lot of hotness emerges!
So much more happens in this story, I won’t go into it all but a little bit of danger, the appearance of Nox and the gang from the Hyde series and a road trip to Tennessee are just some of the highlights. So much goodness, so much laugh out loud moments, and so much sexy times. I loved, loved, loved this book and I can not wait for the next installment!
WOW, where do I even begin to describe how much I adored this latest book by Layla Frost? Bad A** Alpha? Check! Smart A** heroine? Check! Pink skirt and a motorcycle? Check! This hit ALL the checks for me from a sweet but totally sassy heroine to a cranky but oh so protective alpha that made for a fantastic read! I didn’t want to put it down (okay I probably didn’t put it down unless I had to drive!)
Layla Frost has the amazing ability to combine smart mouthed characters, humor, protectiveness and just the right amount of vulnerability that will totally hook you on her books for life!
This is a MUST read (along with her others) and totally a One-Click book! So, get your click fingers ready and prepare to devour this latest book!
Title: Until Mayhem
Author: Layla Frost
Publication Date: April 16, 2019
Loved it, devoured it, couldn’t put it down.
Fantastic main characters with good supporting characters. Flow was perfect and seeing Nox and Hyde again was just icing on the cupcakes.
I absolutely loved Judge and Ophelia’s story. They’re now one of my top faves from Layla’s novels. I loved their unorthodox meeting, slow burn start and the ample steam and chemistry between them. Judge is the perfect possessive, dirty-talking, hot alpha male I enjoy. Then you have Ophelia who’s great on her own too. I loved her sass and wit. Add in Judge’s biker brothers and there’s such potential for future novels! Plus, it’s always fun to see some cameos from other couples in past novels and I’m so glad Layla included them.
Well written as usual, Until Mayhem is full of Layla’s usual humor and banter. It’s also closer to being the length of a full length novel, as opposed to a novella, and I’m all about that!
Judge Hawkins is the president of the Mayhem MC, he believes the beauty following him is after something so he takes her. Realizing quickly she was innocent, Judge feels like fate intervened and doesn’t plan on letting Ophelia go.
This book checked every box for me. I am a huge fan of Until Nox and Nox is all over this book so that catapulted it to instant favorite. Judge, talk about alpha male he has it in spades and I loved Ophelia she is hilarious. Excellent read I hope there is more to come.
Layla Frost is one of my favorite authors and I always look forward to anything she decides to release. When I found out she was releasing another book from ARR until series I was beyond thrilled. In until Mayhem, we meet Ophelia a woman who sees a hot guy and looking too much into him gets her in trouble because as soon as Judge sees her he thinks she was sent by someone. So, Judge decides to take her and keep her and protect her from some things that she is not aware of. In the process, we find out Ophelia is strong and just right for Judge. I don’t want to spoil too much but this book is a must read!
Clarity gave up everything to escape her abusive husband before he could hurt her kids as much as he was hurting her…but since he was a police officer, she had to be extra careful. She makes her way to Tennessee…she is having one of THOSE days…we have all had them, when her car quits in a busy intersection. Marek is just getting off of his shift as a detective and is the closest to help…and with all of the books with this theme..BOOM! He knows she is it for him. But he has to tread lightly, because Clarity is obviously cautious with her kids and her heart. Marek is a perfect caring Alpha. Great novella that ties everything up leaving the reader satisfied.
“Holy. Biker. Hotness.” I can’t describe this book any better than the author’s own words. I swear every book she writes get better and each one becomes my new favorite. I suspect Judge and Ophelia are going to ride the top spot as favorite hero and heroine for a while as well. It’s a tough call between them and Nox and Gus. But then again in Ms. Frost’s own words:
”Slap a fookin’ beard on ya, shove a cigar in yer mouth, and yer fookin’ Nox: US edition.”
Ophelia never suspected that eyeing a couple of biker hotties at the local grocery store would lead to anything other than a moment of embarrassment. She certainly never expected it was going to change her life forever. When her biker hunger gets her into a whole lot of trouble she finds herself tossed upside down, turned inside out and completely in the dark, literally, as to what the heck is going on.
Scrubbing my palm down my face, I admitted, “I don’t f@ckin’ know. Saw her as soon as we pulled in, and it was like…boom. Something just f@ckin’ hit me.”
Judge saw her from the very first moment he pulled into the parking lot and even if his suspicions did play a part in his actions, it was what he would eventually learn was the “boom” that escalated his determination to make her his. Her sassy attitude and take no prisoners outlook solidified the deal for him. He was a goner and no one, not even her, was going to take her away from him.
”Sh!t-ton of blond hair, big gray eyes. Tiny thing, but a big f@ckin’ attitude. Like a princess who’d use her tiara to saw your d!ck off if you looked at her wrong.”
There is nothing I love more than a possessive, dirty talking, alpha hero and holy heck, Judge is all that and more. With a bit of biker slang, sexy smiles, and cocky assurance, he not only won Ophelia over, he won me as well.
I loved that even as he was all about protecting Ophelia, he didn’t run roughshod over her. Their relationship is laced with a wonderful mature humor that is sharp and smart, giving additional depth to the story. Ophelia was sweet and sassy and more than enough to stand up to a big bad tattooed biker dude. I laughed as she kept him on his toes even as he wanted to put her on her back, or against the wall.
I thought this was going to be a novella, but was pleasantly surprised when it was not. It is still a fast paced read and never slowed down. There is a bit of drama but it doesn’t really run the story although the club as well as Nox trying to stop a bad guy does add a bit of interest and potential danger.
With so much goodness coming from various avenues, I couldn’t get enough of this book and was disappointed that it ended. I was hoping for a bit of a resolution about that bad guy but I suspect it will follow through in what we’ve been promised is Lars’ story.
I highly recommend this book to any and everyone who enjoys a steamy romance with a bit of a slow burn (yes slow, despite that “boom”) with an unforgettable alpha hero and smart heroine. This is one of those that you can sit back and enjoy but will need to block out plenty of time to do so because once you start, you won’t want to stop.
So Layla fit right in with her BOOM again. Insta-Love will never be my favorite romantic trope but LF makes it enjoyable. For me this read a little darker and grittier than her usual books. It starts off with Ophelia being kidnapped by the grumpy (but hot) biker and his buddies and never really lightens up. It’s all sass and alpha males with some violence thrown in. Ophelia holds her own with a wicked tongue and sarcasm (she’s my soul sister) which is what a girl would need in order to not get steamrolled by a guy like Judge. Of course the sex is panty melting hot because Ophelia and Judge throw sparks all over the place. My only real complaint with these crossover books is the length. They’re too freakin’ short. I whined about it with Until Nox too. I also struggle with the open plot lines and where they tie into other books and where on the “world timeline” they fall. A bunch of stuff happens at the end of this book that seems like it should tie in elsewhere…shrug….
Holy Hot Tattooed Bossy Man on a Stick!!!
Ophelia is quirky and full of sass! Judge is insanely hot and super bossy! What a perfectly crazy combo!
What a freaking awesome book! Ophelia will keep you on your toes. That girl is full of spunk! Judge’s bossy, dominating, tattooed self will have you swooning…HARD!!! I laughed, out loud. I was on the edge of my seat needing to know what happened next. But mostly I fell hard for these characters! An absolute MUST READ!!
I’m a huge fan of the Until books and loved Ms Frosts’ previous contribution so knowing a new one was coming I was ecstatic. Judge is one scary possessive Alpha. Ophelia was a feisty and kickass heroine and the perfect match for Judge. This book is set in the world of her other books but with a different crew but still overlapping with Jake and Kase and the crew. And specifically Nox. We meet some new and exciting characters which i hope we see more of in future books. It was a fabulous book full of drama and intrigue. It leaves you wanting more like all of Ms Frosts books.
Until Mayhem: Happily Ever Alpha World is a Hyde crossover novella by Layla Frost. Not only does this book have a sexy as sin, alpha, jealous/possessive biker hero, but a kick butt heroine that gives as good as she takes and is just as comfortable in her princessy tulle skirt as she is in jeans and a leather jacket.
Ophelia Jade Kline thought this was going to be a good day when she stopped at the store and saw the sexy bikers getting off their bikes and going in. One in particular grabbed her interest so her cart couldn’t help but go down the same aisles as he did, just so she could see him. But then her world turned upside down, literally, as mister hot as sin grabbed her and accused her of working for some enemy.
Judge Hawkins is president of the Mayhem motorcycle club. He saw her as soon as he took his helmet off. How could he not notice her? He couldn’t take his eyes off her. She was every fantasy he didn’t know he had. It seemed her eyes were on him as well since she seemed to be following him. What better way than to find out what is going on than to kidnap her, right?!
These two are thrown together in the craziest of ways. It didn’t take long for Judge to figure out that Ophelia was innocent but someone else had it in for her as well so he would keep her safe until they figured out what was going on. Ophelia soon realized that neither Judge nor his friends would hurt her and that she was safer with them than anywhere else. The chemistry between them was crazy but Judge waited until Ophelia was ready. But he knew, from that first moment at the store, that this woman would be his.
“Don’t make me drag you back to the bike and remind you who you belong to.”
“I don’t belong to anyone.”
“Look forward to proving you wrong later, princess.”
Ladies, Judge was amazing. I loved his possessiveness towards Ophelia, and so did she. But even more, I loved Ophelia. I loved her independence. This girl!! She was smart and tough yet sweet, snarky and funny too. I could not put this book down. Ophelia had no idea how her world was going to change that day at the grocery store. And neither did Judge. But then BOOM! That was it.
The only other book I have read in Layla’s Hyde series is Until Nox, which I’m so glad I did since Nox plays a part in this book as well. It’s definitely not required to have read it. I just enjoyed that I already knew his story. But it’s not enough now. I am absolutely going to have to read the rest of this series because I need to meet these other characters. I love this author’s work so much and I absolutely can’t wait to see what she does next. Because no matter what it is, I’m in!
That cover is amazing and the perfect representation of this book. Judge, a hot and possessive biker claims the very sassy Ophelia. And on a bike! Hells ya!
I just love it when a hero wants the heroine no matter the consequences. The fact that he planned to make her his despite the possibility of her working for the enemy is my cat nip. I want my couples 100% committed. I loved Judge!
I’m usually all about the heroes in my books but Layla Frost does one better and bring us such fantastic heroines. I love how reasonable Ophelia is when danger lurks. There are no TSTL moments you have to suffer through. She’s a fun character and fits right in with all the other heroines from her previous books. We even get a glimpse of them together. I think we need a novella with a girls night out theme. Hint, hint.
On top of my favorite type of hero and heroines, you’ve got a group of brothers in the Court of Mayhem club that bring more camaraderie to the story. I really enjoy an extended family in my books. Who doesn’t want that kind of loyalty and love in their life? It just brings more to the story for me. Bonus if they get their own books. Insert another hint, hint here.
Fun book and loved seeing a couple characters from Aurora Rose Reynolds Until series make an appearance.
So many stars, I am a huge, huge Layla Frost fan. Pretty sure this is not a secret, she knows, everyone knows, so no super secret here. I am talking, if she writes about trash bags….yup, I am totaling reading the book. She has a way of pulling you in and making you feel that you are a part of the story, that you could totally hang out with the characters in her books. They are relatable in the world she has created and you just want to be in it with them. The Hyde series is one of my all-time favorite series…ever. This is a group of characters that I love and adore, so when she does a Crossover book with the Until series, in the Happily Ever Alpha World, I am in book heaven….because for me this is like a dream come true. This book had most of the Hyde crew, with my men Kase and fookin Nox…MY KNOX…yup that claim was made last year, with Nico Mayson thrown in. I’m not sure my reviews could ever do justice to her books…but, *shrugs* I review anyway.
Ophelia AKA Princess happens to be ogling Judge, the Holy. Biker. Hotness., at the wrong place and wrong time. Judge aka Tattooed Hottie aka Psycho Tattooed Asshole (yes, he has many catchy names throughout the book), oh and Judge is his birth name, his brother is Jury…so cool, sees his Princess “following” them and then it all gets very real. From the moment he sees her…boom, his words, not mine. And the chemistry between these two….whew baby, with her sarcastic whit and his dirty talking, they make for a sexy af combination. And he doesn’t try to hide what he wants, right from their first conversation, and I loved it. One thing I wanted to give a huge shout out to Layla Frost for, is the way she shut down the MC stereotype, this made me beyond happy. Thank you Layla for that.
Great storyline with a little suspense. This was a safe read, with no ow drama, a tiny om incident, but they handle him. I love her quirky humor, as always the whole book is highlighted with possible teasers, love it. Loved, loved the Hyde gang, funny AF, “Slap a fookin’ beard on ya, shove a cigar in yer mouth, and yer fookin’ Nox: US Edition.”…I can’t even. Complete with my dreamy Kase and even dreamier Nox…my very own Kase & Nox sandwich . Lots and lots and lots aka a shit ton of sexy hot af times…like you’re gonna need a fan hot times. Epilogue with multiple time lines and an hea. Just one more thing…next book please.
A misunderstanding, a kidnapping, one seriously hot alpha biker and a sweet but strong woman? Sounds like the makings of one epic book! My absolute only complaint about this book is that it’s not long enough and I want more! I sincerely hope we get more of these MC guys! Another knockout from this author!

Fast, hot, romantic, and exciting. That’s how I’d describe this book in just a few words. I absolutely love Ophelia and Judge. They’re exciting and perfect for one another, even if O doesn’t catch onto that as quickly as J does.
This was an adventure for sure; the emotional roller coaster this book took me on had me all kinds of twisty and turnt. I FLOVED it.
I highly recommend this HEA!
