I gave my heart to a Navy SEAL.He took it with him to his grave.Eleven years later, ignoring the yawning void is as automatic as breathing. Working brutal hours, dating a comfortably commitment-phobic guy, hanging with my best friends. Anything until exhaustion—or an extra glass of wine—claims my consciousness. And then my comfort zone is invaded by Anderson Hawkins’ piercing green eyes.He says … green eyes.
He says he’s a tattoo artist, but his mastery of the short answer, weird schedule, and military ink tell a different story.
His touch ignites a long-dead flame inside me.
But can I touch it without being completely scorched from the inside out?
I’m at the edge of a cliff. I just don’t know if he’ll catch me until I fall.
Note: This contemporary romance contains a former military hero accustomed to treading dangerous ground, and a wary, overworked doctor who’s a military widow in every way but name, brought together by a few unexpected twists and turns—and maybe the machinations of a cute dog.

I am new to Claudia’s work and may I say that I am certainly a fan girl now.
Aspen and Anderson meet by chance. Aspen is the fabulous neighbor that Anderson’s mom keeps talking about. Anderson soon realizes what a special women that she is. He has always been secretive, his work requires that of him but he soon feels something that he never thought he would want.
Aspen has had so much heartbreak and tragedy in her life that she has decided to focus on her career and friends ..that has been enough until she meets him.
This will take you through every emotion imaginable. I absolutely loved their story.
Amazing !

Loved Anderson. I love watching him evolve. He went from being all about work to finding someone to seeing what love is and respecting his mom’s last wishes. He was a truly terrific sexy guy. Very honest and fun but serious when he needed to be and very protective.
Aspen was hard to understand at first. Only because she was so wrapped up in grief and thinking that she could only love one person ever because it would hurt to much to lose someone that she almost lost herself and the chance at love and happiness because of that. Her friends were supportive. Aspen did lose the one she was to marry and that is hard to handle. She shuts down and focuses only on work so she can protect her heart. She even gets to where she overworks so she doesn’t have to feel or think about anything other than work. Anderson discombobulates her. He makes her feel and want to move on. Makes her want a future but she begins by letting fear rule. Anderson wears her down. she pushes he pushes back. When he is away and she is taking care of his mom, she misses him and realizes what her heart wants.
Anderson’s mom is a hoot. She is too sweet and full of life and it is so sad to see what is happening to her. She truly lives life to its fullest. she also helps Anderson and Aspen to learn to live and see what is important and that is love. Anderson’s friends are great as well. Love Kevin. He is great for Aspen’s friend Bridget. I love how these two are there for each other no matter what. When Anderson realizes what he has he does what he can to change his situation and I love how he doesn’t look back but moves forward when he realizes what he wants. I also love how patient and kind he is. He gives Aspen the space she needs but also is persistent and gains her trust and friendship first. He is there but doesn’t crowd Aspen. He allows her to realize her feelings and doesn’t back down as well but is open and shows her himself and his feelings.
A sweet, sultry at times but fun romance where we have a little drama but nothing that has you frustrated. Only characters working through emotions and growing pains. Growing pains of trying to let go and let love in. Growing pains of looking at ones life and opening up to changing it. A wonderfully written nicely paced story of family, love, friendship and letting go. Of allowing yourself to open up to love and letting it in and feeling alive once more. Of love and life. A great book. I adored watching and seeing Anderson’s thoughts and how he comes to terms with his mom and his feelings. This book is a journey of acceptance, moving on and falling in love.
Aspen and Anderson were a perfect match. Aspen was so closed off from any type of emotion that it took the patience Anderson had to break down her walls to allow herself to fall in love again. There was a lot of heart break in this book but also a lot of healing and love.

Review:
I had high expectation for this book. I really looked forward to reading this one. The synopsis sounded really good and it sounded like it could be my kind of read. Sadly it disappointing me. The story didn’t drag me in, I couldn’t connect with the characters. For me it was the writing style that didn’t work for me. It felt like I was working my way through a 500 page novel while it’s only 278 pages. Nothing really happend and it felt like the story didn’t come across well on paper. Some things just didn’t work well and the story just didn’t flow that well. I hope that makes sense.
What is this book about:
Aspen lost her fiance and since then she closed her self of from most things in her live. She is all about work, sleep, drink and repeat. She is still alive but she isn’t living. That is until she met her neighbors son Anderson, he brought something back to live in her she buried long ago. She doesn’t want to start feeling again, she doesn’t want to let someone in only to lose them. But Anderson isn’t one to easily give up.
What did I like/love:
Can’t think of anything I really liked or loved. It was all quite bland for me. I really wanted to love it but the story fell flat.
What did I dislike/hate:
Sadly I didn’t like the writing style. It felt like the author kept adding details later on as an after thought. And it just didn’t work. The story could have been allot shorter and it didn’t have that many pages to begin with. It felt like the book was like 500 pages but it wasn’t. Nothing really happend. The story dragged allot. I’m sorry to say that the book didn’t meet my expectations. I was expecting a different kind of story I suppose.
Rating:
2 it was boring stars
the story as such was good, interesting characters…however the drama of the heroine‘s past was a bit drawn out. otherwise an appealing book.
I really wanted to give this story five stars. Anderson and Aspen deserved five stars. But Aspen’s parents put an end to that, especially the way her mother used her children to get back at her father.
Thia is not a book to be read in public. It got me emotional and crying and i had to finish it in private so that I could fully feel for both Hawk and Aspen. Sigh. Loved their connection and how Hawk was willinf to fight for them, help Aspen to overcome her fears. Loved it!
Not a Page Turner, long stretched out story. Read half of it then dropped.
OH my goodness this was such a beautiful story. Loved Aspen and Hawk’s story, what a beautiful second chance is amazing.

I wasn’t sure if I would like this book when I started reading it but in the end it became one of my favorites! A truly inspiring story about learning to overcome loss in life and trust again. Great book!
What a great book! Several side stories and always moving forward. Good writing and plot!
Characters pull you into the story and you want to have an happy ending. Love the pull of the best friends, always there for each other.
So good!
Claudia was a new author for me and I look forward to reading more. Until I Fall was a heart wrenching, beautiful love story! I was hooked from the beginning and enjoyed the emotional ride Claudia navigates you through.
Aspen’s heart hasn’t been whole since her Navy SEAL fiancé left the world too early. Even years later, she keeps people at a distance and runs herself ragged working too much.
When Anderson walked into her life, she could tell he was military and that was the last thing she needed. All of those feelings she tried to bury come back as they begin to bond over time. Can Aspen let go of her past to allow herself to have a future or will Anderson’s career be too much?
My emotions were on high alert while reading this. My heart was ripped apart but Claudia did a wonderful job of stitching it back together. Such an amazing story of love after loss!

Until I fall at first started out like your typical love story. Two people fell in love when they were younger and Aspen lives with her best friends is studying to be a doctor she seems to have it all. Until she doesn’t. This story takes a turn and Aspen has to figure out how to cope. A story you thought would have some twist and turns completely flips the script before the prologue ends. This book will have you on the end of your chair with heart pounding moments and happy tears, sad and laughter. This is the type of book that’s hard to believe it ended you just need it to keep going!

This book dealt with the loss of loved ones over time and attempting to deal with those losses. I admit to speed reading through some parts. I especially enjoyed the eventual happy ending and the strong friendships of the three college roommates over time.
Loved how real the letters and death bed conversations were.
Great book about opening your heart!
Could have used some careful editing.
Not a formula romance but I liked it.
