OMFG!!! BOOM!!!
That’s right Aurora Rose Reynolds ran off with my heart!!!!
OMG! OMG!!!
Sorry, but what can you say, after waiting for a book, that you’ve been waiting for several months!!
Until Decembers is intoxicating perfection times 1000 times over!!
Just everything about Gareth and Decembers storyline had me doing double-takes. Which in other words re reding it till I could almost resight every word by memory!
God yes, I’ve been on a Mason overload after binging on this baby a few weeks ago.
I enjoyed reading Until December, it was an light hearted story with not to much Mayson drama. Garreth and December have been skirting around eachother since her cousin’s wedding, until they couldn’t deny their attraction towards eachother. I liked the characters, they have good chemistry. They were so perfect together. I also liked how Garreth kids opened their hearts and home to December, they were so sweet. The bond these brothers have with their dad will melt your heart.
Until December is another awesome read from this series. When you wake up and realise that you did the one thing that you and your sisters swore you would never do to each other, go after the same guy. This book will have you wanting to smack both December and Gareth heads together but it so worth the read to see if Gareth will be able to let go of his baggage and will December be strong enough take Gareth on as he comes as a complete package.
Aurora Rose Reynolds is my go to author when I need sweet, hot, insta-love, alpha male story. Since “Until November” I felt in love in Masons family and that love I think will never end. After this book I’m even more than certain.
So this time, as you can guess from the tittle, the big BOOM happened to December and we could see bits of said BOOM in the previous “Until Cobi” book. These bits also made me wait not so patiently for December’s story.
So as to the story. December met Gareth on the wedding and they spent night together, but after that she left his place in English style without any message. But little does she know that Gareth is not a man who easy gives up even though he has not easy life either. So when you have some past behind you and have to take care not only about yourself will you try your luck in finding happy ending once again? After some thinking Gareth decides to do that loop of faith and decide to chase December who at the same time can’t forget him. Will Gareth succeed? Or maybe past catch up to them?
If you want to know you need to read this book. Believe if you are a fan of insta-love romantic story you won’t be disappointed.
December and her sisters have a rule that if one of them is interested in a guy, none of the other sisters can even think of being with him, even if said man isn’t interested in that sister. So when Gareth appears interested, she knows she can’t start anything with him, because April called dibs on him. Except, for once, December wants to say screw the rules and not be the good girl. So she goes home with him, then sneaks out the next morning while he’s sleeping. She feels completely stupid when April later tells her to go for Gareth, that she had no real interest in Gareth except for thinking he was hot. Sheesh, poor December! But when Gareth accuses her of playing games with him after her very sincere apology, she knows she’s completely blown her chance with him, and she has to live with it. Except maybe not. Maybe Gareth has had a change of heart after someone has a very come to Jesus little talk with him.
I haven’t read many of the Until series, but I have read enough to know they follow a specific formula, one that works very well, and works well here, too. I love how sweet Gareth and December are together, and how easily she blends into his life. Gareth is a great guy – a hardworking single dad who works two jobs to provide for his (absolutely adorable) boys, but he’s got a few insecurities, and those allowed him to blow up at poor December. Luckily for him, she easily forgave him once he showed he wasn’t letting her go, once he explained why he had been such a dick. To me, that’s the ultimate sign of a real man – when he can acknowledge his asshole behavior, not only that, but then to turn around and apologize. So swoony! And December, that woman is the perfect fit for Gareth. She’s sweet, a little dorky, and has a huge, loving heart. Perfect for a man with two boys that need a sweet female in their lives.
I’m not sure which story is next in the Until Her/Until Him series, but I cannot wait! I hope it’s as sweet and sexy as Until December is.

Run or jump?
Even though this question didn’t replace the BOOM, it definitely goes with it because it was clear that December Mayson and Gareth Black were drawn to each other from the very moment they saw one another, but there were extenuating circumstances to their instant attraction and after some childish reactions and actions, it didn’t look like the BOOM was going to matter if they didn’t get their shit together and understand what was standing right in front of them.
But Ember and Gareth work things out and they both decide to jump, but now the next question is how far?!?!
December is probably the Mayson who I most relate to…she’s quiet, a bookworm, would rather hang back in the shadows, quirky – as much as she stays in her shell, but what’s also within her is the idea that the right guy could make this good girl a little or a lot bad in all the best ways. But it’s the maternal and loving side of December that really shines through in her and Gareth’s story. She provides Gareth’s two boys the stability and normalcy that they’ve never had because their mother is an absentee one. She shows both Max and Mitchell the love they deserve and she follows through for them, which is something they desperately craved.
Gareth is one hell of a father and man, and despite the baggage he carries and the many jobs he has, he makes sure his boys know how much he loves them and shows them how much better they make his life. He’s honest and open with them, and he tells it like it is in difficult situations, especially when it comes to his boys’ mother. It’s clear just how much these three guys needed December in their lives, and the fact that it works rather smoothly despite the bumpy start they had speaks volumes about the type of people December and Gareth are.
The Mayson clan is back in all its loud, overprotective, and devoted glory in Until December, and because I’m not new to this family, I’ve seen how tenacious, family-oriented, loving and protective each member is; they understand what’s important and they fight for it at all costs, even if that means putting themselves in uncomfortable or dangerous situations, which is exactly what Gareth is willing to do for his boys and for Ember.
I’ll never stop wanting to go back to Aurora Rose Reynolds’ #BOOM world because each and every story mixes the sweet with the sexy and develops from the onset of the BOOM to the happily ever after each couple ends up with after they figure out just how good they could be together.
4 Poison Apples
Holy BOOM!!!
I utterly and completely loved this book; so much so I am having a hard time finding the words to describe how incredible “Until December” is! Amazing, beautiful, passionate, and completely swoon worthy; and I could not put it down. Aurora Rose Reynolds has this ability to write such insanely perfect characters and the interactions and relationships that go on between the characters is out of this world.
Gareth and December are my new favorite couple in the Until Her/Him Series. These two compliment each other in the best way and it’s like finding that missing piece to the puzzle and brings everything to life. I think that is definitely Gareth and December, and when it all comes together you think how you could have gone so long without that missing piece.
Thank You Aurora for yet another BOOM!
I just want to start by saying the original Until Series is one of my top five favorite series and Until Him/Her series is like right behind it. I love seeing the continuation of so many stories with every book. You have all the sisters and cousins that get together and support each other, you get glimpses into future Mayson family “booms” and you get to revisit the original “Boom” couples after all the kids are grown up. I love this series, its like coming home every time I read a book, and Until December was no different.
One thing I loved about this book was the very believable way things played out. Don’t get me wrong I love the Maysons and all the drama that comes with them but it was nice to just get an old fashioned ex who liked to cause drama, a single dad and the very real complications associated with being a single dad and even money problems which isn’t something that usually comes up in these books.
I LOVED IT ALL!
December is this great elementary school teach, she is sweet and loving and above all she is a Mayson.
Gareth is a single dad, working two jobs, trying to be the best provider he can but the one thing he doesn’t see coming is that Mayson “Boom” in the form of sweet little December.
These two have instant chemistry and their journey from first meeting, awkward/ruff beginning to their HEA is such a lovely journey to go on and while this can be read as a stand alone I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES FIRST!
Definity a must read!
3.5 stars. Until December was a pretty good, easy read. This was December and Garreth’s story. The two met at a barbeque. Garreth is a single dad of two boys, a mechanic and tattoo artist. December is a quirky elementary school teacher and a big romance reader. They felt an instant connection and spent an amazing night together, but afterwards, they got off on the wrong foot with a missed communication. Still, they soon got that straightened out and realized they were meant to me together. It was smooth sailing for them from there.
In general, this was an entertaining, single dad romance. I liked Garreth and December together. They made a strong couple. This book had low relationship angst, which I am a fan of, and no “big break up”. But after the couple got together, I felt the story was a little slow and mundane, full of everyday life stuff. The couple showed a bit more personality in the beginning too. Still, this was not a bad book. I found it to be an entertaining, enjoyable, and easy read. Garreth and December were sweet together.
Overall, I enjoyed Until December. It is a good addition to the Until series. Garreth and December brought the boom!
5 Star Review Until December (Until Her/Him #8) by Aurora Rose Reynolds
This is only the third book I have read by Aurora Rose Reynolds and although I have only read a couple of other books in this series, I had no trouble reading this one as a stand alone.
I fell hard and fast for both Gareth Black and December Mayson, both separately and as a couple. I enjoy Ms. Reynolds style of writing, her characters are strong and when time permits I will certainly be looking to read her other books.
The connection between single dad Gareth and shy school teacher December is instantaneous. They are drawn to one another in a way that surprises both of them. Can they both trust in their feelings or is the past destined to ruin their potential for happiness?
This was a non stop read full of emotional turmoil and obstacles that need to be overcome for Gareth and December to get their chance at a happily ever after. The banter between Gareth and December was awesome and you could almost feel the tension as feelings deepened between the two of them and the chemistry intensified.
There were some laugh out moments between not only the main characters but the boys as well, which only enhanced my enjoyment of the story. I have been gravitating more and more to single parent books and this was a great example.
4.5 Stars
This is a must read book! You know I couldn’t pass up a single dad romance. I’m so glad that I read this one. I was sucked in right from the beginning and I didn’t come up for air until I was finished. The characters are great and they pull at your heartstrings. Gareth is such a good dad and you can see the love he has for his kids, but his ex did a number on him. December, i want to be friends with her. she sounds like my kind of people. I loved her interaction with the boys. The scenes with her students is precious and shows they heart she has. December and Gareth have a ton of chemistry and they burn up the pages. The epilogue is the cherry on top for this book. It was the perfect touch to end it. This is the first book I’ve read in the series and now I’m going to go back to read the previous books because I’m now hooked.
Until December is the first book by Aurora Rose Reynolds that I have read and I am definitely a fan now! She put together a perfect combination of great writing, memorable characters and an interesting storyline!
This love story has all to good feels, from the sweet beginnings of a new relationship between Gareth and December to the ease that December seamlessly falls into their lives and the care she shows Gareth’s two amazing boys. They have a few small obstacles to deal with but in the end it was all worth it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I know I will definitely be reading more from this author!
I was so excited when I heard we were getting December’s story and boy does she have a story to tell, this book was everything I expected and so much more.
Gareth is a single dad who adores his two sweet boys and December is a sweet kind teacher who loves them how they all deserve to be loved.
I’m not going to write a review that’s full of spoilers because I think you will all get so much more from this book if you don’t have any preconceived ideas of this love story what I will tell you is this book has all the right feels and I’m sure you will fall in love with Gareth, December and two adorable boys who happen to have some amazing one liners throughout the book. I laughed and I smiled as I got to know this adorable couple but it was the boys that turned this book from a good read to a great read, this is a funny entertaining easy to read book that has just a hint of drama which only adds to the overall enjoyment. Another great stand alone from this very talented author.
This is the eighth book in the Until Her/Until Him series. I have loved each and every book.
I love the entire Mayson clan. I want to be a Mayson!
After reading the epilogue in the previous book, I couldn’t wait to read this!
December is the quiet bookworm of the family. She’s the good girl.
I love how the boys helped our out of her shell.
Gareth is a single dad of two boys. He works hard and is an amazing dad. He would do anything for those two.
I do wish December would have stomped all over Beth! She would have deserved it.
You can’t go wrong with reading this. Loved it!
I have to say that I think this was one of the sweetest stories that I have read by this author. I have read every book in the Until series and the romance between December and Gareth outshines all of them. Both of these characters just tugged at my heart as I read and really pulled me into the book. I felt the ups and downs and I felt the pain of the characters. I absolutely adored both of Gareth’s boys and wanted more than anything for someone to throat punch baby mama because her drama was wrong on so many levels.
So, in my humble opinion (yeah .. I went there), this FREAKING ROCKED HARD! UNTIL DECEMBER touched every one of my reader buttons and I have devoured this book multiple times since getting it and it still affects me each time I read it. That to me is a freaking amazing book. This has just a small touch of danger, but the real power of the story was the emotions that flew around both of the main characters. Theirs is a love story that I feel will touch many readers as it touched me. So, two thumbs WAY UP for me and happy reading!
Omg this was such a sweet story. I couldn’t put it down once started.
I loved Gareth and December together. I couldn’t help but keep saying aww through out the book.
I also loved the interaction between all the characters.
I highly recommend it.
Another great read!!! Loved, loved, loved it!!!
Always so many stars. I am always in awe of Aurora Rose Reynolds’s books, every time I read one. She has an amazing ability to touch on real life situations, some that are openly addressed and some that are not, and I love this. Her storylines are always so wonderful, the stories and characters reality becomes your reality. So for a brief and riveting moment in time, you are a part of the book and I always want more. ALWAYS WANT MORE. Yeah, yeah…subtle like a Mack truck, I know. You knew my review could not be that serious all the way through, so here’s the lighter side.
We caught a glimpse of these two at the end of my man Cobi’s book, yes Cobi’s mine, oh and Gareth’s mine too, you can just call me the Aurora Rose Reynolds Hero Hoarder. I feel like that may be my next Bitmoji t-shirt…just sayin. Anyway, back on topic, they meet at Cobi’s wedding and there was instant chemistry. Gareth is the hot single dad that lives across the street from her cousin Harmony. They did hit a tiny snag for all of a hot second, but chemistry is chemistry, don’t fight it, just embrace it.
This was a great storyline, as always there’s a little something to anticipate. This was a safe read with a couple that was sexy af and has chemistry for days. We get to read some of our favorite characters and of course the famous Mayson Girls Night Out, their guys crack me up. An epilogue and a sweet hea. Oh and I wanted to say that I loved the Acknowledgements of this book, made my heart happy. This is and will always be one of my favorite series and worlds. Thank you Aurora Rose Reynolds for being you.
It’s time for December to catch the BOOM! Book 5 in the Until Her series is about December Mayson and Gareth Black. The moment December saw Gareth they were instantly attracted to each other. To bad one misunderstanding might end them before they even begin. Can these two get on the same page or will past Ex’s and life complications get in the way of their happiness? Who wouldn’t want a hot single dad! I have loved this series since the beginning and am so glad to have December’s story. Gareth with his boys is fantastic! If you like a great feel good book this is for you. Told in dual POV
Until December is one of those books that once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down. A cover to cover heartwarming romance that twists you up inside from the difficult struggles of a single father, the sweet vulnerability of a young woman, to the magnetic and sizzling chemistry found between them.
It feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this book after being introduced to them in Until Cobi. The tiny morsel of a teaser we got was just the beginning of December and Gareth’s love story that will definitely leave readers satisfied well after they’ve finished reading.
As with all the previous Until books, Until December is just as emotional and heartfelt. Whereas some of the other books have a bit more suspense and danger intertwined in the plot, this book has a more domestic, relaxed tone to the storyline. Don’t get me wrong, December and Gareth do experience their own fair share of obstacles and setbacks. But it’s their determination and feelings toward each other, and family, that truly shows how strong they are together.
The author pens love, loyalty, and unwavering support at its fullest potential within the pages of this book. Until December delivers a sweet and swoony BOOM that we’ve all been waiting for and it’s the perfect addition to the Until Her/Him Series.
