An outcast from his pack…Born to a family of wolves, mountain lion shifter Adrian Stone has never fit into the shifter community. He’s resolved to live out his days alone, prowling the Alaskan wilderness and hunting down rogues. When he rescues a stunning, determined human who smells like catnip and makes his inner animal purr, he’s shocked, because his mountain lion insists she’s his mate – … lion insists she’s his mate – even though she claims to be a witch…
A witch without magic…
Darcy Mae is determined to join her aunt’s coven and make up for her mother’s mistakes. All she needs is one more ingredient for a potion to cheat the coven’s test. But a grizzly attacks her while she’s searching for herbs, and her mountain lion rescuer transforms into a man with rock-hard abs and golden eyes she can’t resist…
Witches and shifters never mix, and Darcy is terrified the coven will drive her away. But the coven isn’t her only concern. The local shifters believe the rogue outbreak is due to witchcraft.
And Darcy is the perfect target.
Reader note: A reclusive shifter, a wanna-be witch, and a whole lot of hot and steamy purring. Intended for mature audiences.

I enjoyed reading this book, it’s entertaining and filled with action and the interaction between the characters is great. Adrian is a mountain lion shifter and park ranger who is generally happiest when he’s by himself. Darcy is a witch with a stutter who wants nothing more than to be accepted into her Aunt’s coven so she can train properly. The two meet under far less than ideal circumstances when Adrian saves her life but shows off his cat in the same breath. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book , as a FREE copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Fantastic book and series.
This book was well written and is a great start to the series! Adrian is a loner as a mountain lion shifter born to a family of wolves. He worked as a forest ranger which fits his loner status. Then he saved this beautiful human, Darcy, from a rogue bear shifter. She was actually a witch or soon to be witch with a stutter. His mountain lion knew she was his mate immediately and he fought it for only a short time. They went out on a date and that’s all she wrote. They helped each other, Adrian helping Darcy with her potions and confidence for her important test to become part of the coven and Darcy helping Adrian when he was put on a shifter trial for killing the rogue bear shifter. Darcy realized being part of the coven was not as important as Adrian and Adrian realized his family, wolves though they may be, is still his loving family.
This was a cute story. He was able to see through her stutter to realize what a wonderful woman she was. Even though he was definitely a loner, he came to realize there is one person that is perfect out there for everyone. I LOVED the ending of the story!!
Nice light read
I love this book. It was both sweet and fast paced.
I really liked this book. It was a different take on the shifter trope and I look forward to reading more.
I could totally relate to the characters in this sweet romantic book. Both were dealing with real life issues that they handled beautifully.
Easy read and enjoyable.
I read this first as First Instinct in the Diablo Falls collaboration as it was originally published and my review hasn’t really changed, though the book did get some tweaks and some additions, so please enjoy!

This book is a very sweet romance (with a good dollop of steam) that mixes in some self realization and family love to make it even warmer. There is a little bit of action and some mystery that I believe will cross over into some of the other books as well. If you like your romance hot, paranormal, and sweet, don’t pass this up!

Deliciously deceiving
The blurb on this doesn’t do the story justice.
Adrian is way more than just a shifter prowling the Alaskan wilderness and Darcy is way more than just a wanna be witch.
I am not intending to slur anyone one here but this story blew me away and it was just so much more than what I expected it to be from reading the blurb.
I really enjoyed this and I am sure you will too if you love shifter or witch stories that are a bit taboo for their communities.
Their attraction was way off the charts hot and I burned through the pages with impatience wanting to know what happened next. I loved it!
This is definitely an author I will have to start paying more attention to.
I received a copy in exchange for this, my honest opinion.
This was a fun quick read! Quick, fast, fun, mountain liony n witchy! Darcy is someone I can relate to and someone I’d enjoy hanging with. She’s not afraid to try and Adrian sounds sooooo dreamy! The real bad guys are identified but the results of whatever they are trying to accomplish is the rogues and one goes down here after trying to take out Darcy. She is an underdog heroine and brilliant at it! He’s trying to do the best he can and he is trying to help figure out what is going on. Park Ranger hottie is the great protector and after a quick trip home has him rethinking how things went down years ago… enough to give the family another try. Me thinks Aunt Willow let go to easily but will need to read the next book to see where it goes.
Great start to a new series! I received this book free from the author in exchange for a review….Enjoy!
This is my first book by this author. The plot was good and the characters were interesting. The sexy times didn’t over power the story. The only drawback is that it appears the mystery of whose infecting shifters will be continued in other books in the series. I’m nit a fan of having to purchase other books to get a conclusion but Adrian’s brother is interesting so I at least want to get to his story in Bewitched Shifter. Until next time y’all happy reading.
A cute short story
A bit rushed in my opinion but this is often the case with paranormal romance. I wish it was a bit longer and little more angst but otherwise a decent short story even if a bit predictable.
Sometimes confusing and abruptly ended.
