Return to the sensual and feral stirrings of the Phoenix Pack as a woman who’s already bound to one man is tempted by a wolf who’s bound only to his nightly desires.
Cat shifter Mila Devereaux can’t help but see it as a betrayal. That her one true mate imprinted himself on another female was hard enough to accept. Struggling to be at peace with her loveless fate, she doesn’t fight the suggestion … doesn’t fight the suggestion of entering an arranged mating. Then she meets Dominic, a pack enforcer with a notorious reputation. It’s in his very scent. This irresistible playboy—and delicious badass wolf—is making Mila’s fantasies come alive again.
Alarming, compelling, and heady with sensual energy, Dominic is an expert at making women shed their inhibitions. Now everything about him—his killer smile, his perfectly sculpted body, and his smooth-as-honey voice—is drawing in a captivating new catch. But for the first time in his life, Dominic is feeling more than a fling. He finds himself tantalized by a female who makes him think of forever. He wants all of Mila and won’t be satisfied until he has it.
As the passion grows wild, so does the risk. They’re falling in love in the shadows and secrets of their pasts. And it’s threatening to destroy everything Mila and Dominic are fighting for. And are destined for.

‘The Phoenix Pack’ series is ending with a bang as this splendidly suspenseful, explosive, exciting, wickedly sexy, and charmingly funny romance keeps readers glued to the pages. The hero and heroine are strong, bold characters that stand out, have lots of juicy, electrical chemistry but also have some emotional vulnerabilities that makes it easy for readers to connect with. The passion and emotional angst flows from the pages and readers can feel the depth and heat of both as this couple comes to life.
The romance of this story provides lots of entertainment in the form of splendid suspense, charm, steamy passion snarky wit and quite a few chuckles due to the quirky personalities and delightful abundance of wonderful characters. But the plot is also further enhanced by some deadly, nail biting excitement and suspense of a group of shifter hating humans manipulated by a ‘rank’ human and let’s not forget the seeming unending assassins popping up everywhere. Readers can’t help but love this couple as they are held hostage by their story in which shadows and secrets from their pasts threatened to destroy everything Dominic and Mila are fighting for.
Oh, how I love this author and anything she writes !! I am a huge fan of shifters, vampires, and demons and so you can imagine my giddiness the day I discovered Suzanne Wright’s books. I have been a (stalker) fan, ever since.
Writing this review is a bit double for me. This is the 8th and last book in the “Phoenix Pack” series after all and I am not bored yet….not by a long shot. No matter how much I have wanted to read “Dominic’s book (ever since book 1) I am a bit sad now that I am done… I am not ready to say goodbye !! These people are all like family now …if my family consisted of big bad broody alpha wolves that is 😛
Thankfully, Suzanne has stated at the end of this book, that we will be seeing all our favorites again. They will have cameos in the new and upcoming series `Olympus Pride`. And I also have “Shard of Frost” to look forward too and new books in the “Dark in You” series. So no time to be sad really !!
As I have said, I have been a bit in love with Dominic since meeting him in “Feral Sins”. I just knew that this incredible flirt would find an even more incredible mate 😉 But….not a true mate. I liked that…a lot. We have had all sorts of mates in this series and most of them were “true” ones, but I am thankful that Dominic’s story was different. They really made the decision to be together, without fate or whatever deciding for them. I mean Mila’s true mate was right under her nose and she could have fought for him if she wanted to…but she didn’t.
She didn’t want to be with someone who was in love with another, not even if they were technically “made for each other”. She chose for herself and her choice was Dominic…
This one was definitely another favorite of mine and I can’t wait to read Elliot’s story in Shard of Frost which is gonna be out about the same time this book is !!!
I highly recommend this series and all the others by this author !!
An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
I have read every book in this series and am sad to see it end but I will say the author definitely went out with a bang. The characters felt genuine, the dialogue was her usual blend of witty and emotional and the complicated back story of both leads made for a very rich read.
This is the one PNR series that I recommend to everybody because even though it’s about werewolves and other super natural creatures – ultimately it’s about friendship and love.
The last book in one of my favorite series, I was a bit down before I even started reading. Thank goodness Dominic is still ridiculous and had me cracking up almost immediately. I expected Dom’s pack mates to give him a lot more crap than they did once he’d found his woman, but I’m thrilled they didn’t kill him because of all those cheesy pickup lines aimed at their wives. Why? Because Dominic was amazing. And alpha-intense. And did I mention he was freaking hot?
Dominic may not have gotten his fated mate, but he got the perfect one for him. I loved Mila and her pragmatic outlook on life. She was laid back and level-headed which is exactly what Dominic needed. Plus, she was a Pallas cat and they fascinate me. If there were such things as shifters in this world, I know that’s what I’d want to be.
Dominic and Mila had danger nipping at them from every corner and with so many possible perpetrators, it was next to impossible to guess who targeted them and why. Well, one was obvious, that being Dominic’s past slightly man-whorish ways coming back to bite him in the ass. But the other issue was a guessing game that I had a lot of fun trying to figure out. I do have to say, when the shit hit the fan at the end, the suspense and danger had me at the edge of my seat and my heart in my throat.
As the book wound down and I knew my time being fully immersed in the Phoenix Pack was coming to an end, I found myself reading slower and slower. I turned that last page fully satisfied after reading a great book but heartbroken that it was over. The only thing soothing the sting is that I know I’ll see them in Shards of Frost, the (insert huge sob here) last Mercury Pack book, but also in the future Olympus Pride Series which means a whole series with Pallas Cats. I can’t freaking wait!!!!
5 Stars
Dominic is still my favorite of the Phoenix pack and this book lived up to my expectations. I give this a full 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.
Dominic lived up to all my expectations with his hilarious wit and awesomely creative and cheesy one liners and sexual innuendos. Only this time he devoted them strictly to one person instead of the mates of his friends and pack. Mila is a girl he meets in the Mercury run bar and at first he sees her as a short fling but quickly figures out he feels more for her than he usually does with women.
For those detractors that are disappointed in the fact that they are not true mates, and I have seen a few reviews that say that. Stating that it is getting old. I don’t know what series they have been reading, but if I remember correctly, most of the previous books have been about the couples actually being true mates but not realizing it at first because something was in the way of the bond forming, like emotional issues.
However in this one, I actually thought it was refreshing that they knew from the start that they were not true mates so they were not pining for that true mate link. Mila was at the very beginning but she got over it very quickly when she started to get the hots for Dominic. And really who wouldn’t? Dominic is hot and apparently so is another part of his anatomy and he isn’t afraid to tell everybody. This book was steamy!
The storyline about the threats was pretty great also. Suzanne Wright has a great formula for these books, where they all have a few standard elements including a romance between one of the main characters in the pack and another person, storyline to keep the war between the shifters and the human extremists going, and a storyline where a character in the romance is in danger or is searching for something in order to resolve something in their life. This formula works very well. It gives the romance additional angst or depth, it adds a lot of action and usually it adds some awesome fight sequences. I love it and could read as many more as she can write.
So this was my first book by this author and I feel that Suzanne Wright hit it out of the park with this book. With a big hearted Wolf shifter named Dominic with his hilarious corny pickup lines and skittish but strong Pallas shifter Mila who can fight her own fight and won’t let people walk all over her. I LOVED these characters and how they played off each other. I enjoyed watching them become stronger and their love grow. Add in crazy families, lots of action with a who done it mystery and plenty of heat this book had everything I look for in a book. Well done.
This is a great fun read and the last book in this wonderful series and wasn’t it appropriate that it was Dominic’s story The greatest womaniser and flirt ever is about to meet his match
He fell in love with her voice first yes they may not be a soul mated pair but they grow on one another and not only that Dominic grows he becomes far from the one dimensional characters that he has appeared up until no yes he is still that crazy person we all know and love but he becomes so much more I am sad to see the end of this series but I am sure we will have many more great books from Suzanne
The final book in the Phoenix Pack series. SIGH. The first book in this series was where I was introduced to Suzanne Wright. I have since read everything she has written, and never been disappointed. So, I’m kinda sad that this is the end of this series. BUT….., it was freaking awesome. Dominick has been a force to be reckoned with since the beginning. He is the guy you face slap yourself or him over. While in previous books he was more one dimensional, here he shines.
Mila is a Pallas Cat shifter, and darn those things are cute until they rip your face off. She is just what Dominick needs. I really liked that they got each other. There was not a lot of b.s. going around, they just fit. Their relationship was so well developed and grew perfectly. I am so happy that Dom got his HEA.
Of course, there was the ensuing threats that had to be dealt with and we got to revisit old friends. But their relationship is the star of this book. I love the epilogue in where we were able to see where the pack was 8 years later. Thank you Suzanne for a phenomenal story and series.
Sex, sin, and soul…
Oh, how I have waited for Dominic’s story. I have been a huge fan of this series from the very beginning and as excited as I have been to get my hands on this story it has also been a bit bittersweet seeing as this is the last book in the Phoenix Pack series. That being said, Suzanne Wright did not disappoint by saving our favorite wise cracking, cheesy flirting, one liner stud for last. In walks Mila, who has the perfect temperament to handle this dominate wolf and wrap him around her little finger without even trying. He was hook from the first moment he heard her sing comparing her voice to sex, sin, and soul. Her witty comebacks to all his cheesy pick up lines are hilarious and the two compliment one another perfectly. Honestly, I could not put this book down and quickly made short work of the read. As the two come together, they not only have to overcome their own self-doubts about their relationship, but they must find out who has put a price on Mila’s head, because someone wants her dead. Their storyline is fraught with twist and turns and just the right amount of suspense and angst. Not to mention that it’s a hot, sexy read, but then we all knew that Dominic is a very bad wolf. In the end, Wright has wrapped up The Phoenix Pack Series wonderfully. As sad as I am by the ending of this series, I look forward to the Olympus Pack series and hopefully there will be some well-placed cameos for some of our favorite Phoenix Pack characters.
A huge thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance who provided me with an ARC, which by no means influenced my review. Untamed Delights was truly a wonderful, entertaining read.
“I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review”
‘Untamed delights’ is the last book in ‘The Phoenix pack’ series and that made that reading this book was both a bit sad and very excited. Because I have enjoyed this series very much and when you enjoy something the last thing you want is for it to end. But I do think that the writer made the right decision here. Because sometimes a series loses his sparks when it continues too long. It’s important to end it on the right time and I think that now that everyone has find their mate, the timing was just right.
So I started this book with mixed feelings. A part of me was very happy to see how the last of the unmated male in this pack would find his mate but another part of me was also sad to know that this would be the end of the series.
So Dominic, let’s talk about Dominic, the guy who is famous in the pack for his playboy ways and his one liners to the mated females of his pack. After waiting so long for Dominic’s story, I was very curious to see who he would choose for his mate and how his pack mates would tease him about it (because revenge can be so sweet!) and I’m must say that I really, really liked Mila!
Mila was the perfect woman for Dominic. They really balanced each other perfectly, where Dominic was more social and very charming, she was more down to earth and honest. She was just what Dominic and his wolf were looking for. I liked the fact that she didn’t play games with him. It was fun to see how wild and angry Mila’s cat could be and how Dominic managed to calm her. And Mila’s family were just crazy and I loved every scene with them. Again the sex scenes were steamy and the story was told from both POV’s.
One of the many things that I have enjoyed in this series is how that in each story I found new information about how true mating happened or how imprinting worked. Because one of the difficulties about writing a series with a same ‘topic’ in it, is that it can get boring after a while. But that was never the case here! Because of the different perceptive in each book, it never got boring or it never felt repetitive. I loved that!
‘The Phoenix pack’ series is a great paranormal series that I enjoyed immensely and I’m excited and grateful that the writer ended this series with another great book.
Untamed Delights is the final book in the Phoenix Pack Series (a single tear slides down my face). I have waited a long time to read Dominic’s story and Ms. Wright didn’t hold any punches! I found myself giggling at Dominic’s cheesy lines and nodding when he’d met his match in Mila. I enjoyed the characters, which have been rich with depth from the first novel I read from Wright. The writing is consistent with the other books of the series and lures you into the shifter world, allowing you to “see” everything unfold before your eyes. The pacing was perfect. The dilemma that the main characters faced was uniquely theirs. I liked the mystery that trailed through the story and left me with an open mouth near the end. It was great to have all the characters make appearances and I felt that the ending really brought closure to a well written, well thought out series. I am a fan of S.W.’s writing and look forward to anything she writes in the future.
I was honored to receive an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. My review is my own opinion, given freely.
For the last book in the Phoenix Pack series, it seems fitting that Dominick would be the last wolf to fall. He’s been giving come on lines to all the guys mates, it was time for the player to be get some payback.
I loved Dominick and Mila. I’ve been wanting to see more depth into Dominicks character since we first met him. For being such a player, he really handled the other women well once he meets Mila.
Mila was an awesome heroine. I absolutely loved how she handled so many situations. She just came off so mature and respectable. She was the perfect mate for Dominick.
There is a lot going on in this book. It’s filled to the brim with action and multiple storylines all orbiting around these two. Despite being a lot to deal with, it did show how well these two handled things together. It was also great to see recurring characters.
I have to say I’m pretty sad that this series over, but so thrilled to hear that the author will be giving us glimpses of these characters in a new series she has in the works. I love them so much, I don’t want to let them go and I’m excited for the new characters we will get to know.
Mila is a cat shifter with a voice that would make angels cry. She finds her true mate but he has imprinted on another shifter. To escape them she has decided to move to Russia and go into an arranged marriage her uncles have set up. Dominic is a wolf enforcer, the biggest flirt and never keeps a woman for more than one night. He isn’t looking for his true mate but he does want one night with Mila, when he sees her sing at a club. She continually turns him down but finally gives in. Mila has a bounty on her head and several attempts have been made on her life. The more time he spends with Mila, the less likely he is to let her go.
I absolutely loved this book! I have been waiting for Dominic’s story and was not disappointed. The Russian uncles are hilarious. The sex is steamy and there is plenty of action and mystery. Some old friends and new ones. Be prepared to laugh out loud.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
Untamed Delights made me laugh so hard that tears ran down my face, made me sit on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding, and hit me in the heart. Dominic and Mila’s story gave me all the feels. I fell a little in love with Dom while watching him with his Mila. These two made my kindle smoke. Dom and Mila are both strong, independent individuals who are the perfect half the other needs in a mate. I really loved Dom and Mila’s story. That epilogue though! I could not put this book down. I love falling into this world and I cannot wait to revisit it. Untamed Delights is a book I highly recommend reading.
Another fantastic book in the Phoenix Pack series, reading Untamed Delights is actually bittersweet because it is the last book in this series. Pack enforcer Dominic, a known playboy, has been such a goofy and fun character throughout the whole series, so I was really excited to finally see him fall for a woman. Mila is just plain awesome. I love googling the pallas cats, they look so cute and cuddly but they are just crazy, I loved it!! She was just perfect for Dominic, she knew just how to respond to all his naughty ways. But kidding all aside, there are some sadness intertwined in all the silliness. Poor Mila has to be in close proximity with her unsuspecting true mate and the woman he has imprinted on. For her and her cat to live in some kind of peace, she has decided to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, Dominic has set his eyes on her and is determined to have her.
Dominic, the last unmated male in the Phoenix Pack, is so much more than the reputed lothario, he portrays himself to be. When we learn of his childhood, my heart broke for him. So because of this, he built a wall around himself and didn’t allow himself to be vulnerable ever again. But with Mila the wall slowly starts to crack. As much as they both try to fight it, there definitely is a connection between these two. I absolutely loved the scenes when Dominic interacts with Mila’s cat.
Like in every book in this series and the Mercury Pack series, there is an epic battle that we see coming. In this one, it was a bit different, a bit more personal for the main characters, but still brutal and actually shocking with a lot of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming.
There were so many things I loved about this book; the chemistry, the continued nautiness of Dominic, the banter, one-liners that come from Dominic’s packmates to Mila and Mila’s family themselves. A great conclusion to an amazing series. Definitely a 5-star read.
Thank you Netgalley and Montlake Publishing for the complimentary copy of Untamed Delights. All opinions are my own.
I somehow expected more. Its wasn’t bad but not riveting either.
I loved this book nearly as much as the others in this series. The only thing that I can say that I really didn’t get on with that much is the fact that Dominic and Mila aren’t true mates. Every other story in this series involved true mate main characters, so I was kind of expecting Dominic to find his too. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still loved the storyline-Valentina cracked me up so many times!-and I loved Dominic and Mila’s relationship, I just wished they had that…how would you put it…natural connection? That natural mating bond, I guess is a simple way to put it.
Again, I loved the book! Definitely another Suzanne Wright success.
This was a very nice change from the romance of the other shifters in this series. Imprinting instead of True Mates and poor Mila’s loss of her true mate to another, it was a great plot difference from the other books. I greatly approve!
Untamed Delights is the final book in the Phoenix Pack series and I’ve been waiting for Dominic. I was honestly a little worried that I’d built up the expectation too high, but Suzanne Wright absolutely came through. Not only in a terrific story for Dominic and Mila – but as a series finale.
Dominic’s flirty and carefree ways are finally explained and when he falls, he falls hard for another who is avoiding constant heartache. There’s a crazy ex, an even crazier stalker, and an all out attack on both Packs. The balance between romance and mystery/suspense/action were perfect for me.
Mila’s brother, Alex, is introduced (his book, When He’s Dark, will kick off the Olympus Pride series). There’s also a fantastic epilogue where we get a peek into the future of all our beloved Phoenix Pack families.
All I need to feel complete is Eli in the last Mercury Pack book, Shards of Frost.
Jill Redfield is still amazing. This is a HUGE cast of characters, male and female, young and old – and even though the packs are expanding and merging, she gives them all unique voices and characteristics. You know exactly who is talking at any given time.
Oh wow I was super excited to meet the woman that would finally knock the resident flirt on his a*s and Suzanne did not disappoint me in fact she outdid herself!! Once I started this I didn’t put it down until I had finished (who needs sleep?) and then I had to read it again as its THAT GOOD.
I loved the cheesy one-liners, the wit and banter from his pack mates to get revenge on him with the lines he still dishes out to their mates, it was poetic justice!! BUT, it was amazing to get to know more of the fun loving hunk, to see his sweetness and that there was so much more to him then that.
As always with Suzanne’s books she brought her trademark wit, steam with the action and drama. I honestly think this became my favourite from the series and that says a lot as I love them all.
I’m sad to see the end to this series but excited as we will still get to see the Phoenix pack mates in the spin off Olympus Pride series which is coming.
