A chance meeting with a tall blonde seems almost too good to be true. Beautiful, sane, and she has a kid?
We have a winner.
I planned everything except falling for her.
A lie brought us together, but I have no intention of letting her go.
Laken
Whoever said hard work pays off never applied for an internship in New York City.
I’m no quitter, but after five rejection letters, I’m still stuck playing nanny to the overprivileged.
One outrageous proposal later, I find myself fake engaged and lying to everyone.
Just as I’m about to call it off, I realize my Irish “fiancé” is my ticket to Madison Avenue.
If I can hold on to this charade long enough, I’ll get the job and the man.
Game on.

This book is a short and cute read. I really enjoy fake fiancee novels. Niall and Laken’s story began when Niall proposed an idea to Laken that she could not refuse. What started out as a business agreement, quickly turned into something more that they never expected. I loved the paper boat scene and the way the book ended. The whole book was really enjoyable to read and left me with a huge smile on my face. Niall is such a sweet and charming guy and Laken is a powerhouse and knows what she wants in life and isn’t afraid to go for it. I would definitely recommend this cute read!
“Grinning Like a Cat on Quaaludes”
Laken Cavenaugh is a nanny, for a sweet little boy named Preston…. Preston’s mother is on the board at Trask & Payne and a sorry excuse for a mother….Since Laken has been trying to get an internship at Trask & Payne for awhile, she puts up with all of her employer’s treatment….plus. Preston needs Laken and she can’t leave him…
Irish, single father, Niall Mackey, is a photographer at Trask & Payne, and there is an oversexed barracuda on the board who won’t leave him alone…she’s threatened his job and his daughter’s school placement…So, Niall tells her he’s engaged, and she calls his bluff and wants to meet this fiancée…When he sees a young, beautiful, single mother with her son in the park, his plan starts to formulate…
Believing Preston is Laken’s son, and Laken not correcting his assumption, Niall asks her to be his fake fiancée and attend a company gala….in exchange for her her much coveted internship at Trask & Payne..Laken doesn’t even think about it….she jumps on it….and then the gala happens….
I liked this book….Cora Kenborn’s sense of humor is on nearly every page of UNSUPERVISED…It’s not a long book, but it’s a good one…
I was hooked on this story and its lively characters from the very beginning. I love Kenborn’s books and the abundance of humor found within them. There were so many secrets and when they finally unraveled, it was jaw-dropping. The way things came crashing out into the open was intense and left me racing to read to the end. Kudos on an amazing story that had everything that I look for in a romance.
This short read was just what I needed after a series of angsty books. This book had me giggling. The characters felt so rea.
Niall sold his soul to the devil and now she’s calling in payment. He needs a legitimate reason to escape her clutches. So he plays the fake fiancé card. The problem is he needs to find someone who wants to marry him in less than a month.
Laken is juggling school and her nanny job while fielding yet another rejection letter from Trask & Payne. So, when she has an unusual chance meeting with a sexy Irishman offering her an “in” at Trask & Payne in trade for posing as his fake fiancé, she up for the task. What she didn’t account for was his assumption that she was a mom instead of a nanny, but what’s one little lie by omission?
Cora Kenborn knows how to write a dynamic story with engaging characters. I loved the witty banter and the chemistry between Niall and Laken. They’re real people with real problems that are relatable to the reader. This is a 5 star must read. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Unsupervised by Cora Kenborn was a quick and enjoyable read with great characters and story. What can possibly go wrong when you are in need of a face fiancé, right?
Niall is a highly regarded photographer that has gotten himself in a bit of a tight spot at work. But he is also a professional and has a daughter he loves very much to raise. The perfect solution, find a fake fiancé to get everything back in order in his life.
Laken may have gotten rejection after rejection for an internship, but she is not a quitter. In the meantime, she is a nanny to survive. But a chance encounter with a beautiful single father and a crazy offer later, things may be finally changing for her. But what will happen when Niall discovers the truths?
Unsupervised by Cora Kenborn was a great read with charming characters and an engaging story. I laughed and swooned while reading!

Happy reading!
Wow this book is a steamy read that will have you falling over the pages. The words will have you feeling breathless and hooked from the first page tell the very end. This book will grab your heart and have you hooked..
Love found in a lie. He needed a fiancé she needed her dream job, what could go wrong? Add in one Cruella Deville type boss and you have the perfect tale of love found in a hopeless place. I loved this book! A good and quick read full of laughs. Niall what a sexy ass book boyfriend
What is not to love about this book, Unsupervised by Cora Kenborn. First, toss in Niall the Irish photographer then add Laken the Nanny trying to get a leg up on her career. Stir in bosses, kids, and a gala and then add a twist or two of the unexpected. How could I forget to add the steamy hot scenes that melted my Kindle. This book kept me glued to my seat. I have a few things that tell me if the book is good and Cora blew past all of them. This book made me laugh, cry, want to throw it and then hold on tight to find out what happened next. The Irish tone in this book was awesome! I just love the Alpha Niall.
Unsupervised was a fun story to read. It was quick, held my attention, was filled with drama, quirkiness, and laughter. I didn’t feel as if Niall had an accent. It wasn’t strong enough for me, it was casually used. I love Laken! I suggest not eating or drinking while reading Unsupervised. I loved all movie references. I can’t wait to see what Cora comes up with next.
Niall is a photographer at Tate and Cane Enterprises and a single dad trying to give his daughter the best of everything. Laken is a nanny for the “black widow”, the woman who got Niall’s daughter into a prestigious school and now wants “payback’. A chance encounter at a park brought them together and into an arrangement that could either help or hurt them both. Niall and Laken have amazing chemistry together and they keep you guessing if they will stay together. Unsupervised is a sweet story with the right amount of everything. I loved the characters and their stories. I especially loved Laken and her snarky banter. This author knows how to perfectly mix a great story line, humor and romance into another 5-star read.
Cora Kenborn YOU ROCK! Sexy and real, with an Irish accent- Niall is my new book boyfriend! The smart, sassy and steamy relationship between Niall and Laken is A-Ma-Zing! A must read again kind of book!
Unsupervised is brilliant, it’s hilarious, it’s got that bit of everything you want in a long Novella and soooo much more.
This is about ya scrumptious Niall – a true to life Irishman, strong, self-assured but not dominant, with an oh so sexy accent ! Niall meets and needs the help from the devastatingly beautiful Laken with a quick-answering, smart ass mouth. She has sassiness in abundance and put the two characters together for hot smouldering moments ( steam off your device!!), hilarious antics, romance – everything you’d love about a rom com but loads more on top.
This is new style of writing topic for Cora Kenborn from her previous series of Lord of Lyres, The Carrera Cartel and The Swamp Bottom Series, she has progressed even more if that’s possible IMO into an Author to certainly lookout for, she writes with true grit, passion, sassiness, badass, well developed characters and awesome storylines with a wit to have you belly laughing out loud, wherever you may be!
I enjoyed this book so much, I have reread it three times already. From the characters, to the storyline, to the humour, to the emotions I went through ( and there were MANY!), the sassiness, the love – it just had it all for me and just so much more. A wonderful kick your heals up, curl up and have a beautiful relax time. Cora Kenborn got my 5*, it just such a shame, she couldn’t get more! Well deserved for sure!
What can I say about Unsupervised by this absolutely talented, fantastic, accomplished, brilliant, and adept writer? Am I gushing? Yes. Why? Because this book is truly one of the most fun, sexy, down to earth books I have ever had the pleasure of reading.
This book introduces you to Laken Cavanaugh, who is a young gal just trying to get by in life and doing all the right things to get there. Is it truly any wonder why she forgot to admit that the adorable kid she looks after just doesn’t happen to be hers? I mean Niall MacKay, the seriously hot photographer from the company she has been trying to get into, just happens to have a daughter who bullies the kid she’s looking after. He never actual asked in Preston was hers, so it isn’t really lying right?
He’s bossy and trying to keep things together for his daughter. Why wouldn’t Laken accept a fake proposal from this guy? He’s hotter than hot and he says the naughtiest things to melt her to the core. Not that she doesn’t show some wicked fun sass right back at him. This book has it all.
Read this book to find out how everything unfolds. Niall is Irish too, did I forget to mention that? All I could hear in my head was this amazingly sexy hot accent whispering naughty things. This is a must read and you truly will not be disappointed!
Definitely a 5 star book.
What’s not to love about a sexy Irishman? Niall is a sexy Irish photographer. When reading him talk I could picture the accent Gerard Butler used in “P.S. I Love You”. I’m a sucker for an Irishman and an Irish accent, like who wouldn’t be.
Laken is a Nanny who’s desperate to get her career jump started. I have no one to compare her to, because I just couldn’t imagine an actress whom reminds me enough of her. But I love how she is witty and sarcastic!
This was a blast to read! Laken with her snarky banter and Niall with his filthy, bossy Irish mouth with have you reading straight through. This has the whole package: an amazing storyline, hilarious yet also frustrating characters that you just have to love and did I mention the Irish accent? Grab a glass and a bottle of wine and curl up in your favorite reading spot and get ready to immerse yourself in a must read book.
Laken is a hopeless romantic. A huge rom-com fan who meets sex-on-a-stick Irish photographer Niall. What starts out as a fake engagement turns into real-com. Love the reality language as these two untangle their web of lies.
