In the long-awaited follow-up to the #1 bestselling thriller INVISIBLE . . . the perfect murder always looks like an accident.
FBI agent Emmy Dockery is absolutely relentless. She’s young and driven, and her unique skill at seeing connections others miss has brought her an impressive string of arrests. But a shocking new case-unfolding across the country-has left her utterly baffled. The … country-has left her utterly baffled.
The victims all appear to have died by accident, and have seemingly nothing in common. But this many deaths can’t be coincidence. And the killer is somehow one step ahead of every move Dockery makes. How?
To FBI special agent Harrison “Books” Bookman, everyone in the FBI is a suspect-particularly Emmy Dockery (the fact that she’s his ex-fiancee doesn’t make it easier).
But someone else is watching Dockery. Studying, learning, waiting. Until it’s the perfect time to strike.

Unsolved is definitely a hard one to put down! Emmy is back, stronger and smart as ever. This book is full of lots of twists and turns, and the bad guy in the end is a SUPER unexpected shock. I am hoping for this Books and Emmy thing to move forward again too!
3.5 stars, good but not nearly as good as the first in the series, Invisible. A bit too similar.
Best Patterson book I have read in a long time.
This book definitely kept me guessing throughout the story. I listened to the CD version and liked the narrator and the way the story was read. When I started this book I didn’t realize that it was the second book in the series, but I still really enjoyed it. It did refer to some events that had happened previously, so I can’t wait to go back and read Invisible to find out more about Emmy and the past case that she was involved in. I liked that Emmy was an analyst for the FBI and not an agent, so she was doing work on her own without the backing of them. It was interesting to read about how her mind worked to find similarities in deaths where others on the scene did not. I am looking forward to more books in this series.
Kept me guessing all the way through
Ghost writer
Very good read. TOTALLY unexpected ending!
I was a bit surprised by this novel. It follows Emmy, a FBI analyst, who is obsessed with tracking a killer. The trouble is that no one believes that the deaths of the people are suspicious. Emmy lets the obsession take over her life to the point where she is lying to her fiance and causing disruptions in her career.
The killer uses a wheelchair to stake out his victims. He is very careful, mapping out routes without cameras. He flies under the radar for a long time. In addition to this murderer, someone is carrying out acts of violence on property to protest injustices.
You will be led to believe certain things in this book, and it will push you to think you know the answers, but you will be incorrect. The ending has a big surprise reveal that you likely would not see coming.
I liked the book a lot, but the ending wasn’t the best.

Thought it was OK. Seemed like a rushed ending.
You cannot go wrong with this Patterson, even if he didn’t write it all. A very twisted ending, a great collection of who dunnit characters.
Awesome book
A very fast moving story that kept you guessing until the last chapter. You can always count on Patterson’s books for a good read!
I have many of James Patterson’s books, and this is by far the best one yet! Hard to admit but I cried at the end. “Books” is a character you won’t soon forget!
One of Patterson’s best books
Love this new series with a female FBI analysts pivotal role in crime solving. Totally immersive read. I hated putting it down and finished reading in two greedy gulps.
Wow! I’d nearly given up on Patterson’s suspense books. But this one, cowritten by Ellis (who does not get nearly enough credit imho) is an up-all-night-reading book. Great characters and engrossing plot. Highly recommend to suspense and thriller fans.
Good book kept my attention. The ending was a great surprise. Typical James Patterson.
More depth than some of his books. really enjoyed it and recommended it to a friend.
James Patterson does it again. I couldn’t put this book down. You gotta read it.
Great book which is funny and inspirational.
