Ronan Connolly.Movie star. Sexy. Seductive. Charming. Passionate.I’m drawn to him like I’ve never been drawn to a man before. I’m completely captivated.Every filthy promise he whispers, I crave it.One touch and I am tempted. One kiss and I am addicted. As much as I try to deny it, I want more.More of everything, more of him.Fate may have brought us together, but my past comes lurking back and … my past comes lurking back and that’s trouble neither of us needs.
He’s the one man I never saw coming and now I need to let him go.
He can never be mine.

I loved this book, I couldn’t stop reading it. It hooked me right from the start. I loved the characters, their chemistry was off the charts. I can’t wait to jump right into the next book.
First by this author and this book was brilliant, i was hoping for a little more chase in the beginning of the story, that Holliday wouldn’t of gave in so easily. However that said it didn’t detract from a great read, steam scenes were i liked that it had an interesting background to the heroine and Ronan well I’m a sucker for an irish man hoping for a happy ever after with these two….
I have a thing for Hollywood related stories. Holliday and Ronan fill that craving for me. Holliday meets Ronan by chance because of his sweet little girls. He makes a huge impression…it helps that he’s a hot leading man and he has an accent. She tries to divert his attention away from her. Make their thing a quick fling. He is so not in agreement. And Holliday has a past that she is terrified will come back to haunt her and ruin him. Love it. Working on part 2 now!
I got an ARC copy of this book and I chose to review it. This one has a cliff hanger ending. This is a well written story. Worth your time!!!!! Would have liked it more without the cliff hanger ending. I see the draw for this book! Give this one a chance you will be entertained!!!!
This is book 1 of The Scripted duet. It is re-released by the author with changes to cover and content.
It was a fun read with somewhat suspense and lots of romance.
Holliday Prescott is a fashion executive in her sister’s firm. She has some past(as it always is) but what I liked is she has worked hard on overcoming it.
She was staying at The York when she meets the handsome, famous Hollywood star Ronan Connolly. There meeting was sooo cute!!!
Ronan was smart, sexy and kind. He knew from the start what he wanted and tried everything to achieve it. He was always fighting for “them”.
On the other hand Holliday kind of irritated me with her back and forth.
It has low drama(just as I prefer).
Overall it was good and Thank God we don’t have to wait for book 2. Because story was captivating and though ending was not a cliffhanger, I cannot leave it on not knowing what will happen next. So I started the 2nd blok right away.
thank you so much to the author for providing me the ARC in exchange for an honest review
What a sweet start to Holliday Prescott and Ronan Connolly’s story! Cute little Jade and Leah (Ronan’s mischievous daughters) escape their nanny and show up in the hotel lobby where Holliday is trying to relax. Ronan is one of Hollywood’s sexiest Irish movie stars and Holliday is beautiful inside and out, and is recovering from a previous violent attack that happened by someone else in the movie industry.
The characters in this book, Unscripted, are fantastic! They are so thoroughly written into the storyline! I love the two-person POV, it is so easy to follow and I love the lengths of the chapters. The way the author wrote the friendship of Grady and Holliday into this was phenomenal! All the actions that took place because of their friendship were so incredibly written. The heat in this book was spectacular! I really enjoyed the alpha in Ronan and the way he took charge, but Holliday was feisty and firm and held her ground when she needed to, making for a perfect combination. I love where the author, Christy Pastore, cut this book of the duet off…perfection!
**This book has well-written but explicit sex scenes
**Trigger warning…violent rape discussion written
When I originally read Ronan’s and Holiday’s story I was sucked right into the drama and lifestyles of the rich and famous. Like that feeling I get when I read the tabloids only now I get the inside track of what is really going down.
Ronan was my first Pastore book boyfriend and after reading 2.0 I remembered why. He is everything you expect in a hot alpha male with his big ego and big heart and don’t even get me started on the accent.
Holliday was just as fierce as I remembered and I enjoyed getting to know her again. She is no pushover and makes Ronan work for everything she gives him.
Lucky for us we don’t have to wait long to find out exactly what that is. Things move from flirty to dirty pretty quickly as we see the sparks start to fly. They have unmistakable chemistry in and out of the bedroom but its between the sheets where they are both able to express how they really feel.
Just when we get comfortable, the past comes back to bite us. Secrets are threatened, sacrifices are made and we are left on pins and needles waiting to see if these two can make it work together…
I’m not sure what is with all these authors writing about Irish men but I really want one now. I think the only way this book could get better would be listening to the audiobook. I swooned enough just reading the words. Roman was dreamy and oh, so naughty. I need a shot of something after reading that book. Who wouldn’t want to be in Holliday’s shoes when it comes to being in the presence of Hollywood’s hottest actors in and out of the sheets?
In part 1 of The Scripted Duet, Unscripted, we meet our couple, Holliday & Ronan, when his adorable daughters immediately find a connection with Holliday in the lobby of the York Hotel. Of course, Ronan, being the arrogant Hollywood star that he is, immediately suspects Holliday of having an angle when he sees how much she was enjoying her meeting with his daughters. Men… but Holliday, being the awesome character she is, immediately puts him in his place, and the soon after, the chase is on as Ronan realizes just how much he wants the feisty, beautiful Holliday.
I loved Unscripted. The chemistry between Holliday and Ronan is electric, and more importantly, Holliday is the perfect match for Ronan and the perfect person to keep him on his cocky toes and bring him to his knees. Holliday in particular, stood out in this first installment, and I loved finding out her backstory. She’s so strong, and has gone through so much at the point where she meets Ronan, and I love that she didn’t just simper at his feet the way he was expecting.
She’s the girl with a traumatic past, he’s the guy in the spotlight. What could they possibly have in common?
He fights for the right to have some privacy from the prying eyes of the media. She fights to be the person she is and not who she was.
A moment in time that places them together. Unexpected yet not unwelcome.
He can’t figure her out. What’s her angle? her intentions she’s an enigma.
She can’t believe there’s more to him than what she knows.
An evening lost to the lives of Holliday and Ronan is an evening well spent in my humble opinion.
After the rain comes the sun and I think this sums this book up completely.
Holliday has a darkness in her past a time she wants to forget and move on from.
Ronan has a past of being used by the oposite sex and wants to experience something real.
Two mesmerising characters, that together compliment and ground each other keeping it real and honest.
I loved the storyline, it was refreshing to have such honesty between characters.
I fell hard for Ronan. I mean come on he’s got the looks, the accent and he’s good with children!!
but what kept me reading this was Holliday. A true survivor who lived her life as she deserved!
Fantastic to witness someone with a traumatic past who was able to free themselves enough to just be.
I can’t wait to read the concluding part to this duet….
There are three very important things to know about this book. One- the hero is a single dad, two- he has a sensuous Irish lilt and three-he’s a sexy movie star. Those three things resulted in me fanning my face a lot and a massive explosion of my ovaries!
Ronan is almost too good to be true and every woman’s dream man. He’s romantic, charming and his debonair persona is ever so swoon worthy. Holliday is America’s sweetheart and beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. This coupled with her independent spirit, classy and kind hearted demeanor; made her a wonderful heroine. She’s familiar with the Hollywood scene as her stepfather owns a movie production company in Los Angeles. She’s also an executive assistant at her sister’s fashion design company in New York which often caters to photo shoots and movie sets. I was in awe of her as she is a survivor of a horrific crime that happened to her years ago. She possesses an incredible amount of strength and I loved that she doesn’t it let it define her.
There are so many things that I loved about Unscripted and one thing that stood out the most was Ronan and Holliday’s instant connection. There was no delay or drawn out storyline as it was quick and to the point. Those two were like magnets and I just knew they were going to have explosive sexual chemistry. When they consummated their relationship, I was not disappointed in the least. All of their sexual encounters were so tantalizing and naughty. Just the way I like it!
Unscripted also has some angsty moments as Ronan and Holliday attempt to navigate through their new relationship while dealing with demons from the past and present. There are several people who were out to destroy them with lies, blackmail and manipulation. This made the plot even more engaging and I couldn’t put this book down. It’s a definite must read. The best news is, Unscripted is book one in a duet and Perfectly Scripted, the second book is available at the same time!!
We Should All Go Off Script!
Unscripted is a steamy and emotional romance that ensnared me with endearing characters and a magical seed of hope. Holliday and Ronan meet in an unexpected manner in the beautiful backdrop of a New York winter. I loved their initial interaction. It was unplanned and without pretense. The interest in one another was apparent. However, neither of them were prepared to act on attraction alone. Their next interaction was not quite as pleasant. It was a moment of presumption and cynicism that lead to intrigue and candor. From there, Ronan’s pursuit of Holliday is tenacious. Ronan has been burnt by love in the past. Holliday is a survivor of a heinous attack resulting from a past relationship. They both have good reason to build walls. Yet, the sexual tension is fierce and filled with anticipation. The passion between Ronan and Holliday intensifies as their connection builds. Their love story barrels along at a whirlwind pace. Ms. Pastore showers the reader with details and intimacies that add support in solidifying their love. The only things standing in the way of a HEA: past mistakes, misguided good intentions, and unwanted media attention. This is book 1 in The Scripted Duet and therefore ends on a cliffhanger. It’s one that has me yearning for more!
OH MY! This was such an emotional book. You get the hot, handsome Irish hero and the brave, smart, sassy yet tortured heroine who meets the hero and what a way this book goes. Holliday was minding her own business when she sees these two sweet little girls who look to be without any parents and she is trying to find out who they belong to when she hears the hottest voice and then she sees the body the voice goes to- Ronan Connolly- Hollywood’s hottest movie star. He is a single father to the girls-and what a HAWT daddy does he make- Holliday and Ronan have an instant connection-the chemistry is immediate –Its Explosive, Hot and full of passionate.
The story is fast-paced and emotional. You get into Holliday’s background and find out why she is who she is today; why she is one kick a$$ lady –she could have fallen apart and become another static and instead came out gusty and true after all she went thru. She had therapy, the support of friends and family(well mostly from certain people in the family) She meets this awesome guy who happens to be a MOVIE STAR-go figure AND they connect. That is where the title of the book comes in “unscripted”-nothing in life is scripted- you go with the flow-take what life throws at you and roll with the punches-literally and figuratively . Ronan is a irish hottie who is a single dad who happens to be a movie star. He takes being a dad very seriously and when he happen to meet a very sweet and sassy lass who is sexy looking, well, maybe the dating thing he might need to rethink. Their love story will win you over and her story will have you in tears –and their love story is truly heartwarming. Ronan also has an ex wife issue but don’t let the irish accent think he is a push over-nope. She will be schooled.
This was at times a bit of a dark story because of some of the backstory of Holliday’s but the love story of Ronan and Holliday’s makes up for it and the HEA sure makes up for it. This is a fantastic story and is my first book by the author Christy Pastore =but it will not by my last. I hope Holliday’s sister Charlotte gets her own story-when you read this story, you will understand why say this.
My rating: 4.8 stars *****
**Warning: Please note this novel contains explicit sexual content and crude language and is intended for mature audiences.
If you fell in love with Ronan Connolly and Holliday Prescott in Unscripted 1.0 (2014), you will fall harder in love with them in Unscripted 2.0!
I am a huge fan of dual POV’s and Ms. Pastore has given us the opportunity to hear from both Holliday and Ronan! We only got to hear from Roman in the epilogue the first time around, so this is a huge plus for me.
Ronan Connolly, seriously, I cannot get enough of him. He is sexy, strong, smart, a lit bit of an alpha and just for a moment, can we just bask in that accent of his! Currently he is taking a break from filming and is spending some time in NYC with his two best girls, Leah and Jade, his daughters.
Holliday Prescott, the stunning, smart, sexy, Charlotte Riccetti Design Executive is trying to take her life back after experiencing the trauma after a rape. She is out to prove that she can and will overcome this obstacle with the help of her family, therapy, courage and strength.
These two meet by accident and they can both “feel” that little tingle that runs through them when they are together. The push and pull of their chemistry, the constant paparazzi, the hot sex and people from their past, kept me turning the pages to see how it all unfolds.
This book ends in a cliffhanger, but hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for Perfectly Scripted 2.0
Meet a man of every woman’s dreams…Ronan Connolly. Movie star, romantic, sex on two legs, loving single father, and Irish to boot!
Christy Pastore has used her beautiful creative mind, and brought us a tragic background of Holliday, and threw in a sexy Irish Ronan to be her love and savior.
This story will have you hooked from the moment you start reading it. You will feel loved with Ronan’s words, sexy with Ronan’s touches, and in trouble with his heated stares. This story will pull you in, and leave you begging for the next part of their story.
Hurry with book #2 Christy!
4 Cranky Stars
Holliday Prescott has traded in her party girl wigs and bad decisions and even worst a tragedy that occurred behind in California. Now she lives in New York with her sister Charlotte and her family. She is an executive at Charlottes booming fashion empire and her life is pretty good. She often spends time at The York, a fancy hotel in the city, to give her sister some space so she can focus on family and not be in their way. It’s here she encounters two precocious little girls who steal her heart and with them is their father an Irish actor everyone wants to know. Holliday is drawn to Ronan but knows this can’t be anything more than two people satisfying an itch. They don’t expect real feelings to pop up and she surely doesn’t want her dirty past to sully his career.
Ronan has never been so smitten by a woman other than his devious ex-wife. He sees his girls talking to a beauty in the hotel café and knows he must get her name. He accuses Holliday of some horrible things before their attraction can get off the ground. When she gives him a second chance things start to flourish and get dirty behind closed doors. He knows she is someone he wants in his life, but she made it clear it’s just for now. Ronan sets out to woo her despite it all and wants to protect her from the past that left scars. When the paparazzi start showing up and posting headlines about his mystery woman is when Holliday starts to pull away.
I loved Holliday and Ronan. It was such a princess story. Seemingly normal girl who has grown up in the spotlight isn’t afraid of his star quality. They are a match made in heaven really. Unscripted will also steam up your kindle. Woo wee. I loved his two precious little girls Leah and Jade. They knew how to play their dad. I can’t wait to jump into book two right away. I’m excited to see where their story will lead them.
3.5 stars!! If you are a fan of Insta lust and a hot Irish alpha heros, than Unscripted is the book for you. Lots of sexy times combined with some unexpected twists make this an interesting read.
UNSCRIPTED
By Christy Pastore
3
This is the first book in the Scripted Duet by Christy Pastore. This is a re-release as she’s done some changes from cover to cover.
Ronan Connolly is a movie star who meets Holliday Prescott by chance in a New York hotel lobby. There is an instant connection between the two and it turns into a whirlwind romance.
The passion between Ronan and Holliday is intense. I really liked Ronan’s character but Holliday wasn’t my fave. I suppose the push-pull from her shaped Holliday’s character but I just found it annoying and immature.
I found this an enjoyable read even though this book leaves you hanging but on the plus side is that there was no wait for the 2nd book.
Unscripted (The Scripted Duet Book 1) by Christy Pastore is a steamy, contemporary romance told in dual POV. As part one in a duet, it ends in a cliffhanger.
Fashion executive, Holliday Prescott, never expected to meet Hollywood actor, Ronan Connolly, let alone engage in a sexual relationship with him, but after running into him in a hotel lobby and then again on the job for a magazine shoot that’s exactly what happened.
Ronan and Holliday can’t get enough of each other, and what begins as purely sexual quickly evolves into more. So much more, in fact, that Ronan wants to live together. But when a former friend threatens to reveal Holliday’s past, she knows she needs to break things off for Ronan’s safety and also her own.
I really enjoyed this story. It was fast-paced, the characters were great and their chemistry was blazing. I was hooked from the start and read it all in one sitting. Full of scorching hot, sexy times and dramatic twists. I can’t wait to read the next book!
*** I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. ***
Ronan and Holliday’s story is one that swept me away from the beginning to the cold streets of New York City and celebrities. This story is beautifully penned with depth and meaning, not only taking you on a romance but also sharing a message of strength that exists after living inexplicable experiences.
Pastore, using her signature imagery, will pull at your emotions, placing you front and center, as if you were living the scenes along with the characters. Like it’s very own Hollywood movie.
I’m excited to continue the journey with these characters and watch the rest of their story unfold. A definite must-read!
