Thirty-two and single, Presley wants to start over. She’s only going through the motions–just breathing, not living. It isn’t the life she’s always imagined. She should be married, with a little house and a few children, maybe even a labrador to greet her after a long day of teaching third graders.Treasurer for the Savage Beast MC, Silver lived life hard. At forty-five he’s seen and done it … seen and done it all–twice.
A single father in need of someone who could love him, and his boy. He’s given up on ever finding a woman who fit him–fit them.
Two people breathing. Two people wanting to be loved. One an outlaw. One an innocent. Two people who could not be more opposite, yet when their worlds collide, so does their chemistry.

This story is about rough and tough MC men who live by their own rules. This story is about Silver and Presley two people who are trying to find their way. Silver just wants to do right by Buster his son and he is his everything. I had a hard time with some of Silver thoughts of what was “okay” to do for the good of the club. I loved the heat between Presley and Silver. I can’t wait for more from this series.
A Dark and Deliciously Gritty MC Romance Not for the Faint of Heart…
I had only read one other book by Hailey Faiman, and loved it, so when I saw she also had several MC series published as well I decided to try two in a row from her. And oh my am I glad I did because, wow, what a genre hopping difference in tone and story world “Unscrew You” is! Ever the one for a dark and delicious biker bad boy I dove right into this one, her first book from her Savage Beast MC series. And while the writing is not nearly as polished as her most recent book, it is nonetheless a dark and deliciously gritty take on the MC romance tale.
Here Faiman presents the story of Silver and Presley, he being the forty-five year old treasurer of the Savage Beasts MC, an unapologetically ruthless man who lives, eats, sleeps, and breaths the murkier side of MC life. A dangerous man willing to do unspeakable things for his brothers and club, raising a son he demanded to keep, and indulging in club whores left and right while pining for a toxic woman who is out of reach. And Presley, an elementary school teacher in her early thirties, a woman seeking excitement in what she views as an underwhelming and boring life. A woman who packs up and moves away from her home in Phoenix to a tiny town in the middle of nowhere in search of adventure and love. A move that has her finding far more than she bargained for, far more then she may ever be able to handle, and far more than any woman should ever have to take when what finds her in her third grade classroom shortly after her arrival is Silver, and the ominous danger that surrounds him.
What follows is an exhilarating journey that will have you wincing and gasping in fear (and possibly disgust), as much as it will put heat in your belly and make you swoon. It is an absolutely spine tingling story that will leave an indelible mark on your heart and unexpectedly punch you in the gut with its raw, torturously painful, yet relatable human landscape. And unlike other MC romance stories, this one does NOT shy away from the vicious, abusive, unyieldingly misogynistic reality of the club. It does not romanticize what this club and the brothers within it represent, so be warned, this book is not for the faint of heart or easily offended, it contains scenes of sexual assault, abuse, violence, cheating, and other darkness some may find deeply unsettling.
However, if you can stay the course, swallow the fear and pain as it unfolds before you on the page, you will be rewarded. As the connection between Silver and Presley is so intense you will be unable to look away, even at times you know you should. It is a refreshingly, unapologetic glimpse of a love born in violence. And a sexy as sin tale of possessive love that demands attention and disallows escape.
On the downside, I didn’t fully love some of the abrupt storyline transitions that left me feeling like I missed a bit of dialog somewhere, especially where Silver’s “fidelity” is concerned. Nor did I care for the spanish bits of dialog that left me copying and pasting things into google translate to fully understand and enjoy. However, beyond these picky bits, this story soothed the dark hearted beast within me and made me purr like a panther. I look forward to reading book two!
SMOKIN HOT!!
This is a freakin crazy love story but it’s so smokin hot it will set your panties on fire. Silver/Joel is the epitome of a bad-ass alpha male biker and a member of the Savage Beasts MC. His son Buster is the sweetest little boy he is so cute but a bit rough around the edges and it’s no wonder with a father like Silver and a club full of uncles just as bad-ass as his father. He has a special place in his heart for his new teacher Presley Gray. Presley is beautiful and so sweet and kind but she has always felt like something was missing in her life so when she moved for her new job she thought this would be a good opportunity to explore and have an adventure. All she’s really ever wanted was a house, a husband, children and love, lots and lots of love and the hot screaming sex kind of love would be perfect. Then she meets Silver and her world is turned upside down. At times I would get so pissed off at Silver’s character that I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. Then at times Presley is such a push over she practically rolls over for Silver and spreads her legs every time he says. And if he says jump she asks how high. I was sitting there thinking WTF?!!! This woman is an idiot. As their relationship grows you can almost see the changes that begin to come over Silver. But he never let his hard outer shell down especially in front of his club brothers. I do have to say though, these two have a hot and heavy all consuming sex life and WOW do they sex it up! Lol! At times I cried so hard. Poor Presley gets pulled into the ugly terrifying side of Silver’s life and I have to say she was really strong but damn Silver for just brushing off her feelings. I freakin love Hayley and her books. Her imagination blows my mind and I love every minute of it. I can’t wait for the next book. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
If you love bad boys and alpha-holes… this is the book for you. Silver is all man and he is ready to claim his woman. This MC novel has pages of hotness, drama and steamy scenes. Faiman doesn’t disappoint. She brings all of the goodness with this one.
This book took SOA to a whole new disturbing level. I loved it most of the time. Joel is a man definitely set in his ways at age forty-five. His son Buster May be only eight but the life he is in has made him into a split between a child and a man. Presley is a good girl thru and thru. This is definitely a culture shock for her.
This one has a lot of triggers to include cheating, a J/P hero, a H who is domineering and initially is all cave man. The h only shows strength towards the end of the book and keeps forgiving. However, IMO the H redeems himself somewhat by the end of the book. With that said, I actually enjoyed reading this story. I think the author did an excellent job of presenting the characters and the storyline in such a way that it grabbed me and made me keep reading. I will say this book will not appeal to readers with hard triggers. I will be reading the next one in this series.
I don’t even know where to start with this one. What a WILD ride! Holy smokes! I will say while this was a very gritty, no holds bar, no holding ANYTHING back type of story, I still found myself racing through the pages to find out what happens with these characters!
I know Silver is one tough SOB who doesn’t apologize for anything, but damn did I find him sexy AF! Yes, he was aggressive. Yes, he took what he wanted from Presley no matter what but we also saw that Presley LIKED it. There is something extremely raw about their relationship and sexual interactions. It definitely reminded me of a cave man taking what he wanted from his mate, however it still made me squirm in my seat and made me imagine that it was ME he was taking for his own. I know in today’s world, the idea of a man making a woman his, as in property, may be viewed as awful or despicable, but yet there is something very intriguing about it as well. Silver flat out tells Presley he is who he is. Take him or leave him.
The interactions with Presley and Buster are very sweet and bring more human emotion into the mix. Buster is also a way to highlight Silver’s ability to show his vulnerable side but still also show when the club needs him, he goes.
The storyline, outside of the relationship between Silver and Presley is well written and kept my attention as well. Yes, many MC stories have the men changing their aggressive ways to be home with their Old Lady however this one strayed from that formula and I think that is exactly why I liked it so much. It was totally and utterly honest in writing and character actions and that was one of the biggest reasons why I liked it so much. In this crazy wild world, these two people found each other and were not going to let go for anything. There is something extremely sexy, passionate, and desirable about that type of intimacy, no matter how aggressive it is. Loved it!
First book by Hayley Faiman and I loved it. Silver is definitely an alpha-hole but I loved that he was willing to do anything for Buster and Presley. I loved that she was teach and that sorta sweet girl next door type. They were total opposites but they just worked together being a perfect fit for each other. I loved watching all 3 of them becoming a family. This book was was entertaining from page 1 until the last. The sex scenes…. off the freaking chain! I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
When it comes to MC-fueled romances I find myself drawn to the plethora of book series on the shelves and completely captivated by the danger and sensuality of the worlds depicted in these books. It’s an action-packed world found in this series starter teeming with bad boys and the women who love them despite their questionable actions, especially when this story veers into misogyny a time or two. Despite the occasional non-pc scene I was still fully invested in this tale and its hypnotic vibe. The world seen here is raw, gritty, and demeaning, not for the faint of heart, but it’s memorable for its larger than life characters and pulse-pounding action.
Joel “Silver” Hernandez has loved his brother’s wife for over twenty years, would claim her if she’d ever put her missing husband’s memory to rest. He’s slowly come to realize that his feelings are a lost cause though, moved on with another woman who left him too, but ultimately has been left with a young son he’s devoted to. It’s only with his son Buster that he opens up his heart, as women have done nothing but disappoint him. Just when he thinks his heart has completely closed off though, he finds himself utterly captivated by the sweet and sexy heroine who teaches his son. Theirs is a relationship of opposites attracting as he’s very deep into the MC world of drugs and hookers, definitely not your typical white knight. He doesn’t commit easily, has scenes with other women in the name of club business, but shows a kind heart when it comes to his son and in those quiet moments he has with Presley. He’s not the kind of hero you admire, but he is a sexy hero you can’t help drooling over and who you know will protect you when you need protecting most.
Presley’s the sweet and naive new teacher in town. Looking for excitement, looking to start living, she finds herself irrevocably drawn to bad boy biker Silver and quickly becomes entwined in his and his son’s life. Presley has a big heart, sees the best in people, and very early on she becomes protective of Buster. Though she chafes at Silver’s alpha-behaviors she finds herself giving into him every time in a relationship that frustrated me at times as his overwhelming manliness had her caving far too often. I like strong-willed heroines and far too often she fell from the mark as Silver would kiss all her concerns away. Despite my frustrations, I still liked her and her strong support of Silver in seeing the good in him instead of the bad. I also enjoyed her subtle mothering of Buster as he deserved a bit of softness in a world full of hardness that has him wise beyond his years.
This isn’t a story for everyone as there’s scenes with emotional triggers concerning sexual assault and drug abuse. These scenes are hard to read at times but they realistically depict an MC who does what it needs to to prosper. While some books in the MC genre show clubs that have taken a more legal path, this one rings much truer in its dark and gritty depictions. There is no black and white, just a story full of color and life. The main characters aren’t always heroic but they did keep my eyes glued to the pages, gave me a few blushes along the way through erotically-charged encounters and lots of crass comments. Along with Silver, readers are introduced to a few of his MC brothers who left an indelible mark on me and has me longing to see who brings Wolfe, Dragon, Coyote, and Taz to their knees. These are man who’ve been in this world for most of their lives, been changed by it and desensitized, so I could understand why they did what they did. I could get past their imperfections as their occasional heartwarming words and deeds would warm my heart. They’re ultimately a strong and sexy group of men whose presence captivated me and whose stories I look forward to reading more about.
Omg ! I don’t know where to start with this one as I am still running on a high with all the excitement this current tale brought us.
Hayley for me is on of my favorite MC authors as everything and anything she writes I love reading cover to cover.
Right from the very beginning you were engrossed in the story and stayed that way to the very end.The story was packed with tons of drama.
The story revolved around Silver who can’t seem to give up wanting to be with his brothers old lady who left her.I don’t know how many times I wanted to smack him for the idiot he was pining for that wicked witch Savannah what a “bit**” she was!
The story kept us on edge the entire time as you could not help being that way because Silver’s personality was so explosive and you just never new how he was going to act at anytime or in any situation.
This is a story where you have a love/hate relationship with one of the main characters and Silver was like that for me as the man was a complete A-hole the entire story yet was capable of being a loving and caring man.Silver had a very dominate personality I found him to be abrasive, hard, dark, gruff, gritty, violent, possessive, protective, overwhelming and not love-able on the whole.Silver however is not heartless when he loved he loves fiercely.,he cares about and provided for them,he loves his boy above all else.Women however are drawn to the hard and sexy man.Silver screams “Bad Bay Beware” just by looking at him.
Run-Run-Run lol
Silver finally found a women to snap him out of his blind lust he had for Savannah and she is a mousy school teacher who is timid,kind,love-able and pure sunshine. Omg! Presley never had a chance as that man steamed rolled her big time !From the very beginning he dominated that women in every way possible.Girl what is wrong with you? lol
Presley is pure sunshine,love-able,caring,naive,sexy,and someone looking for adventure.”Oh boy”,Did she get that with Silver and his MC family and then some.Presley was a character that I felt bad for as Silver expected so much from her yet, wasn’t willing to give her any promises in return.Honestly,I don’t know what drew her to that man in the first place but, she saw something in him under all that hardness that I just didn’t see.”I must be Blind” lol. Presley was a character that I loved as you could not help but, being drawn to her innocence.
Overall I loved the story as it was filled with tons of drama,The story had twists, turns, surprises, was dark, gritty, dangerous and kept us on edge the entire time and I couldn’t put the book down until the very end.
The story itself was hotter than hell. The chemistry and the sexual escapades between Silver and Presley where intense, exciting, super hot, even explosive,at times.Silver acted more like a dom-with his sub most of the time with that take what I give you attitude and be happy with what I give you. Arrogant much? The sexual situations were hot, but, in your next breath you want to punch Silver’s lights out for being so arrogant and cocky!
This is not a story where you are going to love one of the main characters but, as the story progresses you find out that there is more to Silver than meets the eye and he kind of grows on you. LOL Fans of Hayley’s are going to love this one!I have a feeling others are going to love it or hate it “we however loved it.”
Gah! This MC novel rocked. Silver was a jerk in all the right ways and I love how Presley was able to break through his tough exterior. The club was great with some amazing characters that I’m really excited to read about.
The author added some amazing club drama that added a grit factor to the story. By the time I was done, all I’m doing is craving more of this world that the author has written. There are some trigger factors in this story but I think the author did great with them.
Each character had a great personality that I found not only enduring but also captivating. They are all so different in their unique ways. I can’t wait to see where this author will take this series. 5 stars #2OCCJD
5 Brutal Stars
What an amazing and rough start to a new series. The Savage Beast MC live up to their name and this first book, about Silver, has it all.
It is raw, exciting, sexy and edgy. Silver and Presley are not your pretty couple. Things don’t go smoothly all the time and it isn’t all immediately a happily ever after. What you will find is a rollercoaster ride that will keep you turning the page until you reach the end as this couple fights tooth and nail for the love and future they want, need and deserve.
Cara – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
Hayley has done it again, my go-to where I want nasty, raw, gritty MC book. I freaking love how she does not make it sweet and savory, it’s dark and twisty. This is not your sweet, soft, flowers and chocolate, afraid of stepping on anyone’s toes type of book and yes it might have some triggers. I have read MC romance where its fluffy and it was good don’t get me wrong but when you really think what this book is trying to illustrate: a rough MC (could be considered a 1% club in my opinion) you can pretty much assume they could be ripe assh*les.
Silver you will either love him or hate him, there is NO INBETWEEN. Yes, he is a royal ass, yes he cheats on Presley and trust me I HATE cheaters. But when you immerse yourself into the story, this is the life he has lived for 45 years. It’s the way of his life (not giving him any excuses). The one thing that Hayley brings into those areas of the books is that little voice in the back of his head, that battle he is having. And the parts are not like other books I have read where the guy is just screwing just to be screwing and hell in front of the said girl. Buster his son I just want to wrap up and take him home with me. And I love how Presley is portrayed as a teacher. Her heart for the kids is spot on. I truly think she is perfect for Silver. Teach has a little wild side to match Silver. I am hoping the next in the series is Trista and Taz. It’s a rough book to read in some parts but totally worth the read.
Silver Hernandez has his work cut out for him. Presley Gray wants a fresh start. Our author has created a secondary character, Savanna. At the beginning I felt sorry for both her and Silver. But that changed as the story went on. I still felt sorry for her but I also didn’t like her very much. As the relationship between Silver and Presley develops, you almost understand her a little bit.
This story is about Silver’s life always seemingly coming in between anything that’s trying to develop between our main characters. Any woman who takes that on has to be strong enough to realize what comes first in their relationship. Everything this author writes seems so realistic and that includes all secondary characters – she makes everything seem so believable. Presley has standards, ones she won’t give up on. But she’s never met a man who belongs to an MC before.
Our author is a very sneaky woman. She knew exactly what would catch my attention. There were times where I thought Silver was an alpha jerk and wanted to hate him. His one redeeming quality was his love for his son. His son became the bridge to him having a relationship with Presley. Another way our author was sneaky was in how she handled Savanna. I’ll let you enjoy that one on your own. Then she puts in a twist that I had no hint was coming and that’s what left me wanting more. The frustrating thing is there’s no hint of a book two, no hint of a title, no hints of any kind – what am I going to do?
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Lordy lordy lordy and Holy Hell is what I said when I was reading this book. This is the first book I have read from Hayley and it will not be the last. I was thrown into a world that I love. Bikers are rough and rowdy and do things that are not on the up and up and I love that about them. Bikers are real and don’t have to worry about fluff from them. This is Silver’s story and wow what a story.
Silver is the Treasurer of The Savage Beast MC. He is a single father of an amazing 8 year old boy Buster. Silver is a great father but he is getting older at 45 he wants a mother for Buster and wants to have an old lady to come home to. Someone who takes care of him and his boy.
Presley is a school teacher and she needs a change of scenery because her life has become sad. She is looking for a man to settle down with and have children and live the American dream. At 32 she has nothing to show in her life and she craves that change so she moves to a new city and decides she will live a little and have fun and just maybe get her man and family in the process.
Then she sees Silver picking up Buster from school and she is hooked! She wants to get to know him but she also knows that he is Buster’s father and has to tread lightly. Then Silver sees her and he wants her in his bed and on his bike and being a mother to Buster. This is where the story takes off and holy shizz does this story take you on a roller coaster ride that you will not want to get off. This is a must read MC book that is raw and gritty and rough oh and panty dripping goodness!!!!!
Oh heck yeah! I started reading this book and couldn’t put it down. This book gives you action, violence, it’s dark and gritty, sweetness and love. You get Presley who in her 30’s and wants more out of life than she’s getting. She then meets Silver who has been in love with the wrong woman for years.
When Presley sticks up for his son she definitely gets his attention. He already had hers from the first time that she seen him. They have a lot to work through-personally, with her job and his club. Will she be able to fit in with his club? Will the club come between them?
I couldn’t get enough of this book! Loved it and can’t wait to read the next one in this series.
I am flat out blown away yet again but Hayley Faiman’s outstanding ability to write some of the best MC romance out there. There’s no sugary sweetness to be found in the pages of Unscrew Me. What you will find is raw, gritty, and powerful. Unbelievable amounts of steam. And more than anything a love so real, rough, and wild it will leave you dying to go back and reread Silver and Presley’s story all over again the second you finish.
Silver and Presley have some intense chemistry immediately. That insane attraction pulling them together like magnets will have you reaching for a fan frequently throughout their book. But more than that the love that grows between them is even more intense. Definitely not your easy, sweet, swoony love. What Silver and Presley have defies all rules of “normal”.
Silver is not an easy man to love. He’s rough, makes no apologies for it, and refuses to ever change. More than once I wanted to strangle him, but truthfully I also loved him for being exactly who he was. Now, don’t get me wrong, the man still has the ability to make you swoon just as he does to make your heart race. But those moments when he lets his guard down only for his woman are worth ten thousand of your favorite book boyfriends in how magnificent they are.
I cannot wait for the next in this series. With the first book being this amazing I have a feeling the rest are going to completely blow my mind!
This is a new series from Hayley Faiman and it does NOT disappoint! This book is written with as much grit, emotion and heart as every book she has written. This book follows Silver, a member of Savage Beasts MC, and Presley, his sons very sweet teacher. These two are an unlikely match, but just really make it work. This is a well written and engaging book that I thoroughly enjoyed. These two do not have an easy go of it, but it was so enjoyable seeing everything play out. This is another great series from Faiman and a must read!!
Another great read from Hayley Faiman in this first book in a new series from one of my favourite MC authors. Presley has moved to a small town for a new start and perhaps a new adventure after her boring old life back in Phoenix. She certainly gets that adventure when she meets Silver, the father of one of the students in the 8th grade elementary class she teaches.
Silver has been in love with a woman he couldn’t have for the best part of 20 years, but she would never go there with Silver. That didn’t stop him pining, even going so far as having a relationship with someone else to try and make her jealous, all that resulted in though was Buster; the son Silver loved more than anything. When Silver sets eyes on Buster’s beautiful, innocent teacher he starts to realise that what he’s been thinking was love couldn’t have been, because Presley awakens something in him that has him wanting to make her his. Will Presley give Silver a chance though when doing so means she has to deal with broken promises, MC violence and a woman who suddenly realises she’s about to lose something she didn’t want until she saw him with someone else?
I really enjoy Hayley Faiman’s books, I can’t put them down and this one was no different. I haven’t read one yet that I didn’t like and I’m so happy she’s started another MC series. I can’t wait to see who else is getting a book, fingers crossed for Wolfe/Esther and I’m hoping Trista will get a book somewhere down the line. This is definitely on the grittier side of the genre with plenty of action, drama, violence and HOT bedroom action and I give UnScrew Me 5 stars.
