Psychology student Ashlyn Drake’s neat, orderly life takes a turn for the crazy when she finds the perfect subject for her amnesia thesis – a young man without any memory of his previous life, including the murder he’s accused of committing.
Against all common sense, Ashlyn’s drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Perhaps it’s that he’s so incredibly male, and even handcuffed to his hospital bed … hospital bed he could pass for a cologne ad – Scent de Insanity. Or perhaps it’s because she’s spent too many lonely nights studying. Either way, she’s determined to help him solve the mystery of his past. She begins to unravel who he was before, using his cryptic tattoos, and his paintings that scream of a dark past as her only clues. When she finally learns his secret there’s no telling which one is the real him, the gentle lover she’s fallen for or the troubled man with a dark past.
UNRAVEL ME is a contemporary erotic romance.

I don’t read a lot of amnesia romances, so they’re still pretty fun to read. Logan/Aiden was hot and broody. Yet, even with memory loss, still understood proper consent. Ashlyn is brave and is confident in her ability to take care of herself. She’s also the type of person who needs to be connected to someone to be attracted. I both respect and relate to that. However, I was a bit disappointed by how disgusted she was at the idea that Aiden might be gay.
The sparks were immediate though. Kendall Ryan does a great job of building up their intense slow-burn romance.
Having read the duo out of order, I was annoyed at having to deal with “Liz” again. And was sad that there was no Cohen yet.
3.5 stars – While this wasn’t as dark as I anticipated, it was a very good story that drew me in. It wasn’t just the very hot, taboo nature of their relationship that kept me engaged but also the mystery of who John Doe / Logan / Aiden is and how their investigation into discovering his past impacts their future.
The narrators, Leah Mallach w an appearance by Sean Crisden, were good.

I’m continuing to try and catch up on some unread books that have been sitting neglected for a long time. I bought this one 7 years ago and it won the TBR lucky dip this week 🙂
Ashlyn is a psychology student working on a thesis when she is given the opportunity to meet an amnesia patient that has just been admitted into hospital. The circumstances in which he was found were such that he needs to be handcuffed. However, Ashlyn works out that he is fact harmless and she feels safe around him.
John Doe has no recollection of what led him to be in the hospital and he no memories of his life at all. Ashlyn nicknames him Logan as he has the name tattooed on his arm. As Ashlyn tries to help trigger Logan’s memory with things like trying different food or listening to different songs a bond forms between them. They both look forward to her daily visits.
When Logan finds himself having to fend for himself, Ashlyn comes to his rescue, offering a place to stay and it also gives her the opportunity to gather more information for her thesis. Things begin to change between them and the undeniable attraction and pull is getting hard to resist. Logan is worried that there could be a girlfriend, wife or family out there that he has no memory of and betraying their trust is at the forefront of his mind.
Eventually these two can no longer fight the connection and give in to what they both desire and want. As Logan slowly unravels Ashlyn’s body, she is trying to unravel the truth about who he really is and what she eventually discovers could mean the end of what has been the most wonderful experience of her life.
Good book. She fell in love with a man that had amnesia that she was doing research on for school.
