I think this is my favorite book yet. Kay showed a really vulnerable side of her here. I know she did also in The Body Farm, but this was different. Kay was in such a different form of danger in this book and it was really interesting to see how she took on everything. Between the pox-like disease to Benton, there were so many layers to her …
Patricia Cornwell never disappoints.
The Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell provides compelling reading and a solid cast who draw you in like family. Unnatural Exposure gives us the usual puzzle/mystery to solve with a dramatic turn at the end. In fact, it was a bit too dramatic which is why I took one star off. I feel the build up to the ending character was not well developed. …
Loved it! I have read just about all Patricia Cromwells books
I have read all her books so far. Looking forward to the new one.
Great book, but I would expect no less from Patricia Cornwell!
Book 8 in the Kay Scarpetta series and read August 2014. This was a much better book the the last 3. It was more like the stories at the beginning of the series.

Book Review
Unnatural Exposure, the 8th book in the “Kay Scarpetta” thriller series, published in 1997, by Patricia Cornwell, get 3 of 5 stars. By this time, fans of the series know Kay Scarpetta really well, and you either love her or get annoyed by her but love the mysteries. I generally like her as a character, but she did push a few buttons …
Patricia Cornwall doesn’t disappoint! Even if you haven’t kept up with the series, you don’t feel like you’re missing something.
I love This author. There are many books in the series. I have red 12.
This book was a world wind of suspense and adventure! The Scarpetta character is very intense and riveting in drama and unpredictable action!
Author is very consistent in her writing style. I always read her books.
Another fast paced tale featuring Dr. Kay Scarpetta, who is always hunting a killer and in danger herself! The characters that surround her are interesting. One is never quite sure who the “bad guys” are and who Kay can trust??
I am a huge fan of Scarpata, so I am always excited to read her books. Some are better than others. This was sort of middle of the road I guess, though I was surprised at who the “evil one” was.
I enjoy the Patricia Cornwall books. They have action , twists , and can learn something medically as well
