A new romantic comedy series by M.C. Cerny, Unlovely Things is book two in the Love By Design Series. So… whatever happened to… Kristen and Demon? Be warned, this couple is feisty, filthy, and funny and they are definitely rated R for ridiculously raunchy. Come back to New Paltz and join the gang for another dose of big love in a small town. Each book in the LBD series is a standalone HEA … romance.

Damien can have his pick of women but not the one he wants. Kristen has held a grudge against Damien since seventh grade and now she finally is going to move on. I really enjoyed this book.
I enjoyed this book the banter back and forth between Kristen and Damien made it easy to read. I am glad that I get a copy of this book from booksprout I enjoyed this book and of course Happy ending .

This is the second book in the Love By Design Series. It can be read as a standalone. I thought this story is wonderful well written. It has a great storyline. The characters Damien and Kristen has great chemistry. I truly reading this story. I look forward to reading more stories.

How on earth these two came to find their hea is beyond me!…
Quite a few typos/errors but insufficient to ruin my reading pleasure. The heroine was toxic, high maintenance, harbouring things from the past she believed to be true which weren’t. He had the patience of Job, always supportive, caring & kind even when she sent him packing time after time. But their fatal attraction could not be denied with off the charts sexual chemistry. I laughed out loud, I got a bit teary, not often but all good. Oh my, you will not believe how much I wanted them to find their nirvana. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review
Not my favorite! It was really hard to like the main character and the dialogue was tedious. I finished it but not sure I would have if I hadn’t been gifted a copy.

Unlovely Things is part of Love by Design series but can be read as a standalone book. There’s drama, wonderful characters, and a fun and enjoyable plot line. The chemistry between the main characters is strong and their relationship is great. This is an easy read that’s nice to sit and read while curled up under a comfy throw and your favorite hot drink on the table beside you..

This was a fun book to read. Funny, serious, romance and life lessons. Damien and Kristen have been bickering with each other since they were in the 7th grade. Damien has loved her since 7th grade and can’t seem to get her out of his system and move away. They shared their first kiss together then she caught him kissing another or did she ? Every since then they have been at each other’s throats. Planning his cousins and her best friends bachelor/bachelorette party one thing leads to another and they actually talk about things from the past. Life ahead isn’t easy but boy they make it fun and exciting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING. Loved this book!

The second book in the Love by Design series a well written story that I was not putting down until I finished reading it. Damien Hart and Kristen Calloway’s story had me laughing as I read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Being older I could giggle my way through this marvelous story. If I was younger I might view the childish angst differently. This was great making you think back on childhood troubles and how they molded you.

Kristen and Damien have kniwn each other for ever. And they dance around their attraction. While Damien knows he wants her, Kristen does her best to continual be angry with him. The adage ” thou does protest to much” comes to mind..
I must say that Kristen anger was a bit much to deal with at times. How she feels about her bff getting married is what makes her tolerable at times.
When these two do get together sparks fly, in more ways than one.
The story flowed well for the most part.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
I like all this authors stories, but this one was lacking in my opinion. It made it a little daunting for me to finish this story as it just kept on about how Damien did something and Kristen would never let him explain what that was. It became to the point where I just wanted to skip to the end to find out what really happened but I stuck it through. It is a good book and I look forward to more from M.C.

Omg, I love, love, love the back and forth between Kristen and Damien! It’s so exciting knowing their story, unfolding the drama, layer by layer. You keep reading and you never want to put the book down. The family was all great especially seeing there was something between Damien and Kristen. Bless Damien for having patience with Kristen, she can be exhausting. Very witty entertaining and sexual scene.
Hands down so far the best book I have read! Congrats M.C. Cerny.

My memories of these characters were a lot more fond when I was deciding if I wanted to read this book than the feelings I have now that I’ve finished it. There are fewer spelling and grammatical mistakes than the previous book, but they’re still prevalent. And I have never seen the word “husked” misused so inappropriately in my life. After the first book, I was curious to know what started the hate-hate relationship between Kristen and Damien, and I still really don’t understand it. That’s one of the things I disliked the most about the way this book ends. There’s no discussion. There’s no growth. There’s no healing. There’s no movement. It’s just “bang” and they’re suddenly together. There’s not even an “I’m sorry I’ve been such a raving homicidal lunatic for decades because I thought you did something you didn’t do and I never gave you the opportunity to explain why I was jumping to the wrong conclusions.” This story desperately needed that moment. I really liked Damien. He comes across as sweet and with a really big loving heart. I also thought he was a giant schmuck for letting Kristen treat him so abominably for so very very very long. It’s not often I actively hate a leading character, but Kristen pushed me to that limit. A lot of it is because she behaves like such a horrible human being and she’s doing it with MY name. I would have liked this book so much better if I could have seen a change in her emotions or her thoughts rather than just her biology.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
I really had a hard time with this book. Damien and Kristen were young loves, but a misunderstanding tore them apart. My problem is the immature, childish behavior of Kristen. I’m tired of these little girls and she kinda tainted the whole book for me. Then she suddenly forgives him, without so much of an explanation from her! Sorry, not a fan of Kristen and I felt Damien deserved better. 2 1/2 stars from me.
I received a copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
Quite funny and hot
The story is well written, simple, quite funny , with characters sometimes with surprising reactions. Some scenes are hot, especially the first scene between Kristen and Damien.
These two characters love to hate each other and only them seem to be unaware that they love each other after a decade of mutual rejection. After 10 years, Damien begins to understand that, for his part, he remains very attracted by it, but still he must succeed in convincing Kristen.
