In the furthest part of Federation space, someone found a drifting spaceport.
Clalls has come to claim it.
He knows it’s potential when he spots it. The current occupants will see things his way soon enough.
Nothing can stop him.
Well….maybe somoene that he didn’t see coming.
Note to reader: this is a 90-minute fast pace romance, perfect for the woman on the go.
Clalls is on his way to his spaceport with big plans when Nova intercepts him. She is furious that he allowed Nue to be mated and is out for revenge. And revenge is gruesome. Senny has been working on the spaceport for a long time and finds Clalls, injured and in distress. She wants to strip everything she can use on the station, but Clalls has conditions. This is a fairly short novel with twists and turns that you won’t expect!
Exceptional, page-turner, tons of fun. Very well written with a nicely paced, interesting plot and well developed, truly fascinating characters. The dialogue was witty, smart and realistic. The heat level was around a medium, but the chemistry was off the charts.
There were a couple of entertaining secondary characters that I really, really hope get their own stories in later installments of the series. But regardless, I will absolutely check out more books in the series and other books by this author. A total pleasure to read.
Note: Available on KU at time of posting. First in series, complete story. A must read for fans of alien romance, but absolutely worth trying out if you are a romance fan who’s curious about the sub-genre.
Book one in the Drifting Treasures Series a well written story I was not putting down until I had finished reading it. I want to read more in this series. Clalls and Senny’s story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The writing and editing was clean in the ARC edition of this manuscript, with no typos that I found. The world building was vibrant, and I did not need to have read any of the author’s other series set in this universe to easily follow along. The characterization was excellent for the short format of this story. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and organic. The plot and pacing was quick and exciting. The angst was fairly low and the stakes fairly high, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. This novel used the Fated Mates trope. The world building, plot and pacing all rated four stars. The characterization and the development of the romantic relationship also rated four stars. That means the combined score for this novel was four stars. The ending was a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus. I recommend this story to readers who would enjoy a short, sweet standalone sci-fi romance. I would like to read the next book in the series, if the author turns it into a series. I am not buying myself a keeper copy of this novel at this time, though I really enjoyed it.

This book wrapped up all the characters in the last series, while setting the stage for hopefully, a new series. It can be read as a stand alone but you will miss some depth if you don’t read the series. I like Clalls. He is such a nice dangerous bastard. I would have liked a little more back story on Senny, but I knew enough to follow the story line comfortably. When Senny found Clalls, blind and shivering, he was such a jerk to her. How they managed to fall in love is a miracle.

Clalls is a Demon(Kirca race) who has landed on an abandoned spaceport. He is looking over what he can do with it when he is attacked by an acquaintance from his past. He’s left blinded an injured when he encounteres Senny, a resident of the spaceport he intends to claim.
A fast paced read. I appreciated the part in the book which gave some background to the story as it looks to be part of a series.
The story was weaved in such a way as to give some background information, but not take away from the flow. The antagonists were not two dimensional and provided depth.
I enjoyed seeing these two characters discover what they had previously been missing in each other. Clalls and Senny’s conversation continued to grow in relation to their closeness.
This is a fun adventurous tale with romance and a pirate or two.
Wow really loved this short story kept me interested and did not want to put down. I can’t wait to see more outworlder’s and more to this series. Loved the characters and that they got their HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thought that this was a very good read and a promising start to this new series. I felt that the story was entertaining and it held my interest well. The characters were likable and easy to root for. This books engaging blend of drama, adventure, emotion, humor and romance provide a very enjoyable reading experience. This is my truthful review that I am posting of my own accord.
Unloved Treasure:A Sci-Fi Romance by Layla Stone was an Absolute Delight!
Regardless of what I’m reading when a notification hits my email of a new Layla Stone book, I immediately stop what I’m doing to read her book.
I am so enamored with the world that she has created, and this new book is no exception!
Clalls, the H, is a Night Demon, and a retired logistics commander, and Senny, the h, is a scavenger, that is helping to repair the spaceport.
The interaction between Clalls and Nova, the exRana-female assassin was priceless.
I laughed out loud quite a bit while reading this enjoyable story!

Another very good book from Layla Stone. Very well written! On par with the unexpected series. It’s a short read, but I could not put it down! I enjoyed the first meeting between Clalls and Senny. Nova was entertaining, I hope she gets her own book!
I can not wait for the next book!
