The quaint town of Ogg’s Point rests on the rocky coasts of Maine. Native Rutledge Raines left home with no plans of returning, but years later he is drawn back to sell his late grandmother’s house. He never imagined the mundane task would drop the annoying but sexy Peyton Morgan into his life. Being home forces him to remember why he left in the first place because even small towns have secrets … secrets lurking in the shadows.
When those demons are unleashed, Rut, Peyton and Ogg’s Point will never be the same.

4 1/2 STARS FOR UNLEASHED!! I enjoyed everything about this book and it kept me flipping pages. The story had all the feels you could ask for. Peyton and Rut have a story to tell you, so sit back and take it in. These two author did a job writing together and I can’t wait to read more.
This collaboration between Fiore and Dwayne was pure magic!
These authors created a story and characters that immediately grabbed a hold of me and when the story was done, they wouldn’t let go. Even now, I can’t stop thinking about them and it’s been days since I finished this book.
Rutledge was the perfect blend of tortured and brooding hero. The type of man you want to hug as much as you want to throttle him. The kind of man you don’t mind being bossed around by… especially in the bedroom. He was sexy and kind and I loved the many ways in which he loved Peyton.
Peyton was an absolute sweetheart. She was warm and loving and the perfect complement to the cold and somewhat distant hero. Their initial ‘meeting’ wasn’t the stuff of fairytales, however, this soon turned into a fiery passion that neither had ever felt before. I loved how willing Peyton was to shoulder some of Rut’s burdens and how she instinctively knew exactly what he needed most.
There was plenty of humor to be found amongst these pages. I lost track of how many f-bombs that came from Rut’s mouth. He made swearing an art form (my kind of guy). Amongst the swoons and romance, there was a bit of a suspenseful edge to the story which spoke to the darkness hiding in plain sight within Rut. Every element added made this one heck of a story to get lost in. Huge doses of sweet with a couple dashes of sour made Unleashed a definite must-read!
This is one of those situations when the two authors are so well matched that they create the MASTERPIECE. Seriously – Unleashed is such a damn good book that you can’t put it down. The plot draws in from the first page and with every read sentence you want more and more, hoping that you will never reach the end. I’m delighted!
Peyton is a dreamer. She has the idea in her head to find a place for herself in a small town and grow roots there. Thus, when she finds an advertisement in which the house out of her dreams is for sale, she impulsively decides to buy it. Making this decision is facilitated by the fact that her work is becoming increasingly frustrating. When Peyton goes to Ogg’s Point to see the house, she meets his owner.
Rutledge is an incredibly handsome man, but he is also rude, broody and we can honestly call him an asshole. However, when the two spend more time together and get to know each other better, we learn that Rut is also caring and has a golden heart. However in the depths of his soul demons are hidden. Trauma from the past still makes itself felt, especially at Ogg’s Point. Will he be able to overcome them? Will he find his home at Peyton’s side?
Gaaaah! How I love Rutledge character! The authors created a perfect alpha-hole that can’t be not loved! His dominance, brooding and general attitude were so sexy. His protectiveness of Peyton made me swoon. Can I keep him for myself? 😉
Peyton, in turn, is such a good person that you dream of being in her company. She’s a best friend material.
The two together … I still blush at the memory of the scenes contained in this book. Saying it was hot is the understatement of the century! The chemistry between Peyton and Rutledge is off the charts and they are so perfectly matched that you cheer on them with all your strenght!
LA. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne made a really good job on this book. I’m full of admiration for their talent and I can’t wait for the next parts in the Ogg’s Point series!
“Even whatever haunted him had helped forge the man he was, a man I thought was perfectly imperfect.”
I was excited to get at taste of the writing duo of L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne. I’ve been a longtime fan of Fiore, but this is my first taste of Dwayne. Honestly, now that I’ve finished reading it, I still have no idea who contributed what. Their collaboration was seamless.
When I first met Peyton I underestimated her strength. When life threw her a curve ball she flipped her sassy switch on and made me proud. And once the story evolved I realized that her intuition and thoughtful responses where exactly what was needed to soothe the beast.
Rutledge is an alpha asshole who purposely pushes Peyton’s buttons. He’s been dealing with demons for so long that he rarely bothers to use the manners his grandma taught him. Can I just say, I adore him? He’s bossy and foul-mouthed and arrogant and sexy and so damn broken. He can have any woman he wants, but he doesn’t need more than a quick release, and then it’s bye-bye baby. He doesn’t do relationships and he doesn’t apologize.
Their first meeting in person was memorable. They were both lust-struck. But that didn’t stop the barbs from flying. “My guess, she might be a little peeved, but that was okay with me, because I liked a pissed off Peyton.” I liked it too. They were gasoline on a fire and I was tempted to grab a pot holder for my Kindle, just in case, worried the heat would be too much for me.
What I loved most about this story is when Rutledge talks. It cracked me up when Peyton told him, “Seriously, Hallmark is missing out.” He’s got his own caveman lingo that gets his point across with as few words and many fucks as possible. I couldn’t stop smiling and swooning over him…sigh.
As Fiore is famous for, there is no absence of suspense and surprises. I always enjoy trying to figure out what’s coming, I’m afraid to blink or I might miss something. There are some amazing support characters that I’m excited to see again in future Ogg’s Point stories. I’m worried that Rut is so damned good that anyone else will pale by comparison. This dynamic duo has their work cut out for them. The line forms here…
Unleashed: An Ogg’s Point Novel, co-written by L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne, is a story full of raw emotion and mystery. Each chapter pulled me in deeper, leaving me guessing to what secrets and demons lie hidden in the past. I loved the mystery of the storyline, and the unexpected twists had me glued to the pages. The overall plot was good, but the chemistry between the characters had me hooked. I would definitely recommend this book.

5 Stars!!
This is my 1st book by L.A Fiore and also Anthony Dwayne. It was amazing!! Rutledge is the epitome of an Alpha Male!
I fell in love with Peyton and Rutledge but most importantly Rutledge. Everything fell into place in the beginning of the book, it was all too good and the anticipation of the what if.. had me at the edge of my seat. The banter between the two and wittiness makes them such a great couple. Peyton was so understanding and patient with the whole situation with Rutledge deep inside she knew his demons were a lot stronger than she anticipated. Those demons will come to light and test their relationship.
If your into a dominate male with charm this book will not disappoint.
This is the first book from the duo of L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne. I have read and loved all of L.A. Fiore’s previous books but Anthony is a new to me author…until now. After just finishing Unleashed, I will say that I will most definitely be reading more of his books. Unleashed was great! It started out with an enemy to lovers feel but with Peyton and Rut’s connection being so off the charts, their story developed into an explosive love story. Throughout the whole book, I couldn’t wait to see what Rut was hiding from his past and when I did…It totally blew my mind. I was not expecting that!! My heart broke for him. If you are looking for a suspenseful, sexy love story, Unleashed is the one!

Rutledge Raines and Peyton Morgan live in two different cities and weren’t supposed to cross paths.
But fate had other plans…
I’m a huge fan of L.A. Fiore, her writing, her stories, and I hadn’t known Anthony Dwayne until this book, and let me tell you, they work amazingly together!
And yes, the cover does totally justice to the book: it’s raw and dark, hot and passionate.
You’ll love broken and commanding Rut, and also kind and sassy Peyton/Peaches.
The story will give you chills.
The hot ones (OMG yes, this book is hot)… but also the icy ones.
Demons are lurking around the house and near some corners and streets of Ogg’s Point.
Especially behind the doors of some shed…
You’ll feel all the passion and desperation of a man with a past he can’t seem to overcome.
And as the story unfolds, you’ll get to know more characters, some of them really endearing, so much you’ll want to know more about them, and even get their own love story? I know I would love to!
Welcome to Ogg’s Point, a little town, peaceful, uneventful but… Be careful… Things and people aren’t always what they seem…
Grab this book, I devoured it in two days.
This love story is desperately romantic, and I was left wanting more stories from Ogg’s Point.
And of course, I’ll definitely be looking for Anthony Dwayne books!

Ooooohhh Boy.
That was intense, but what a great start to a new series!
I guess I should have figured out that there would be some crazy going on after reading the blurb, but I didn’t expect it to hit from the very beginning and have that low level anxious awareness simmering throughout the entire story. Combine that with the perfect balance of humor and heart, and well written characters…well, this one kept me turning the pages until the very end.
I loved Peyton. She’s sweet and snarky with a golden heart and definitely knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. She comfortable in her own skin, owns everything that she is and makes no apologies for it.
Rut. I loved the man, I did, but ooohhhhweee… He has a lot of demons riding him, and believe me when I say that my heart broke for him and could understand why he was the way he was, but man he definitely tried me at time. He’s all kinds of alpha AF, and when it came to him turning on the charm and smexy ~ the man was lethal ~ but he also took ‘blunt and to the point’ to another level.
While Peyton and Rut’s journey to the HEA doesn’t start off smoothly and they encounter more issues than anyone should have to, I really enjoyed watching as they became more to each other. It was fun and smexy (Lemme tell you…SMEXY!!) and gave me all the feels. What I enjoyed the most was how, even as they evolved, they never lost who they were at their very cores. As for the Sword of Damocles that falls and interrupts their journey, it frustrated me even when I could understand the reason behind it, though I definitely didn’t agree and would have liked a little more grovelling ~ but that’s me ~ I did like where Rut and Peyton ended up when the book was done.
I’m already a #fangirl of one of the authors, so making grabby hands at Unleashed was a no brainer, and after finishing the book, am now a fan of the other author. The writing was seamlessly done and engaging, the pacing good and dual 1st person POV enjoyable. And I could tell that they had a great time getting these words out together even with the heavy issues they addressed in this book. I’m not going to get specific, but the triggers are intense and I think that they both handled them well. As for the secondary characters, this one definitely runs the gamut ~ there are ones I loved and ones I wanted to gut with a spoon ~ but when it came to the ones I loved, Smitty & Coda are at the top of the list. And then there is the town of Ogg’s Point itself, which was a character unto itself. It felt like a small town would with everyone up in everyone else’s business and one you’d visit and fall in love with the unique characters that populate it.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where this series takes us and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Oh my. Where do I even start with this story. Peyton and Rutledge were simply amazing. It’s that simple. I can’t think of another word to describe them as characters but they were amazing well rounded characters who really drew me in and had me rooting for them. The story was one of those on the edge of your seat types. I had to know what was going to happen and what my mind conjured up was far from what happened. It was intense and sexy but also funny and super sweet.
The writing that this author duo did was brilliant. They worked off of each other perfectly and I hope they wrote together again in the future because it flowed perfectly. There not more that I can say but I do hope that we get some of the secondary characters stories. They had me as intrigued as the main characters. 5 stars #2OCCJD
3.75 STARS!!
Unleashed is co-written by the talented duo L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne. The story is well-written, and with a plot twist you don’t see coming. The secondary characters are well developed, likeable and memorable.
There is a strong, emotional connection between Rut and Peyton, and their chemistry if off the charts. However, I couldn’t connect with the jerkassholehero, regardless of his torture soul. When I thought he had redeem himself from his horniness, he goes and does sh*t again.
Sorry, but the story is so vivid it feels like I’m catching someone I love, getting off with a random, while claiming to have feeling for me and not using protection while he checks if he’s clean. But hey, that’s just me. In addition, the ending felt to rushed!
A gripping read with the right amount of heartbreak, humor, drama, steam, angst, chilling suspense, mystery and passionate romance. An opposites attract romance, intense and entertaining.
This is the 1st bk from the duo of L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne. This story is a roller coaster ride of emotions- Hot and steamy, mystery and suspense, love and heartbreak, this story has it all. The chemistry between the main characters is literally off the charts intense; the warmth and wit from them is like being around good friends. I could not put this read down. There is enough mystery in the story to keep the reader guessing, and when just when you think you have it all figured out…BAM, you’re hit with a twist/turn in this story. I don’t want to give any spoilers or anything away with this story. Just know Peyton and Rutledge are phenomenal main characters and are ones to be on the lookout for. L.A Fiore and Anthony Dwayne did an outstanding job with Unleashed. I can’t wait to read what they co-write together next.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****

The writing by Anthony Dwayne and LA Fiore was completely flawless. You couldn’t tell where one started and the other one ended. This was a fantastic collaboration. These two describe everything so vividly… that built that little town in Maine. They made it so you visualized everything. LA Fiore is a favorite author of mine. She creates these truly unique characters and these stories that are deep and different and so captivating that you can’t put her books down. Anthony Dwayne is new to me. I’m intrigued after this book, to see what his writing and stories are like. There was way more drama then I’m used to with a Fiore book so I’m wondering if that’s where he wrote… I don’t know. I didn’t love the extra drama, it wasn’t exactly pertinent to the story, but I didn’t absolutely hate it either. But this could have been a 5-star book for me without that unnecessary drama.
Peyton is right up there with my favorite female character ever! Peyton just lit up this book. She’s so fun, she’s so darn sweet… a bit quirky. Really, I adored every word about her or surrounding her. Rutledge was something else. I don’t even know where to start with him. I like his alpha male thing that he has going on… that control that he just owns walking into a room. However, his use of women was not my favorite. I lost so much respect and life for him when he said he was clean after all the strange he’d been receiving. If he would have ran a boxer-clad ass out to his truck for a condom, he would have completely redeemed himself. Rutledge took the star in Unleashed. I just had a hard time really liking him. Other than that, and the not-needed drama, this was a great story! I do wish the ending wasn’t so hurried but still super-duper good. I wanted more happily ever after!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
I went into this story not really knowing what to expect, but I ended up really loving it apart from one thing. I do think that there was a little too much sex in this book if that’s even possible! Rut is a bit of a manwhore before Peyton and after he meets her he is just a dirty bad boy, but it did get to the point that I did start skipping through the sex scenes as there is only so many times I wanted to read about him and his great sex techniques. Putting that aside it was a totally great story with a lot of plot twists, and even though they were a little bit predictable I still liked the build up and the conformation of my suspicions once things were revealed. I really liked Peyton’s character, she is a really strong heroine. Rut’s character is a little over controlling for me at times but I get where he was coming from most of the time so I gave him a thumbs up for being a little overprotective hero. Together as a couple they worked really well.
The story was well written and was easy to read, it kept me interested and excited to see what would happen next. I look forward to reading more from these two authors in the future.
4.5 Stars!
A sensitive, romantic and funny tale about an odd couple who met in the picturesque small town of Oggs Point in Maine. I was so enamoured by the beauty described in novel, I’ve decided to settle down in a beach town in maine myself.
There’s a secret in the dilapidated yet beautiful house facing the sea. And a shed on the sprawling acreage, right at the edge of the cliff. A chill runs in the air, somebody’s watching…..always watching.
You get shivers, hair stand on end and a pickling fear that you’re being stalked!!!
“Make a change. Find something that makes you happy.”
This house was an impulse “drunk-click” buy for Peyton Morgan, who’s running from trapped life in Boston and the moment she steps out of the car-Rutledge Raines’s life is dumbstruck! They get confrontational, combative, bantering and then teasing. Life becomes interesting and entwined and then something happens that pulls them apart and ………
Go read the book!!!
Hot sex, dirty talk and christening of every counter, room, truck, space, cause Rutledge is a sex machine. He made the pages “moist” . He’s a straight talker, cut to the chase kinda guy. Alpha of the Alphas.
He’d never write for Hallmark , but I couldn’t lie, I preferred his way with words.
Peyton is controlled and intuitive, pensive and loyal. Very compassionate and equally passionate. They both set the pages on fire. Pink heart shaped pages.
There’s so much love in the book, so many powerful emotions, such strong bonds of friendship, kinship, camaraderie and belonging, I was constantly awed and perpetually hungry for more.
“I lost my family. You lost yours too. The stories you shared about your grandmother, this place, I wanted it to be a home again.”
“But I realize it isn’t the building that is home. It’s you. You are my home.”
Ahhhhhhhhh, the story just soaks in your soul. I wanted to lust after Rut, love him, marry him and at times strangle him. I couldn’t stop reading so that shows how interesting it was.
4.5 stars for Peaches who found her Happy
What happens with Peyton Morgan hates her job, hates her new boss and drinks too much wine? She buys a house sight unseen on the internet. The one thing she didn’t bargain for was the owner, Rutledge Raines. Peyton sees the house as a place dreams could be made. Rutledge wants it gone and along with it the nightmares and demons that haunt him. Happy summers with his Grandmother destroyed by events outside his control. So they meet and boom it’s on!!! These two are the perfect sparring partners. He doesn’t do relationships but as he gets to know Peyton and they work together on the house he starts to think maybe he could and maybe he could with her. She gives him a run for his money and when they get down and dirty it is oh so dirty. The sizzle factor is high with these two. Will Rutledge love and trust Peyton enough to reveal his secret. Will she stick with him once she knows or will she run? I like Rutledge Raines a lot he is so alpha male so much so that I found his arrogance and aggression too much at times. Having read Anthony Dwayne before I was prepared for his style which is a little rough around the edges a bit like Rutledge. A few things didn’t sit well with me and I felt uncomfortable on occasions. Who doesn’t carry a condom in their wallet/pocket if they are thinking about having sex and who has unprotected sex with someone who is obviously a player? Picking up another woman to have sex with because the one he wants isn’t in town. He didn’t do anything but he thought it and even if this was to show us he is serious about Peyton it’s not a good look. His confrontation with the guy in the bar was scary. Not sure I would have been waiting for him when he came back with the beers. It seemed excessive. His workers were scared of him, poor Herb and poor Willy. This is how I felt and is no reflection on the quality of the book. It’s well written and the story is a slow burn regarding what happened to Rutledge and there are a few twists and turns along the way. L. A. Fiore is an author I haven’t read but I will be looking into reading more of her work. Peyton is adorable and compliments Rutledge perfectly and I’m sure she is responsible for bringing her to life. Who will we meet next from Ogg’s Point? I wonder if it will be Max….I hope so.
“I needed to make a change, but that terrified me. What terrified me more, though, was always watching great love stories but never having one.”
Wow. I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVED. THIS. BOOK! Everything about Unleashed had me enthralled from the very start. From its engaging characters, to its emotion fueled romance. It had a enemies to lovers feel I could not get enough of. This isn’t your typical love story. It’s complicated, dark, and hauntingly beautiful. Rutledge and Peyton on two of the most explosive characters I have read. Their chemistry was off the charts. While their passion burned red HOT. No amount of pages was enough of these two characters. I could have read about them for many more. I was not ready to see their story come to a end. L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne paint a suspenseful story, that keeps you guessing to the very end. This is hands down one of my best reads of 2018. I can NOT wait for more books in the Ogg’s Point series. There was so many characters I loved meeting in Unleashed. I can definitely think of a few I would love to see more of *cough*Max and Kinsley *cough* or even Coda and Martin. So I am definitely curious to see whats in store next.
“I put my mouth to her ear and whispered , “Mine.” Her hips moved, pressing herself into my hand, her word breathlessly spoken when she replied, “Forever.”
Peyton is one of those heroines you immediately love. I could easily see myself being friends with her in real life. Her passion and kind hearted spirit was the breath of fresh air this story needed. I loved you get as good as you give with her character. She was impulsive, and constantly kept you on your toes. With her sassy mouth and head strong ways. Peyton is just the heroine Rutledge needed to give him a run for his money.
” ‘Hold on’ his text had said. Those words proved to be rather foretelling. Hold on was exactly what I’d be doing, riding the storm that was Rutledge Raines and hoping like hell when he blew out of my life that I’d still be in one piece.”
Rutledge had me falling for him hook, line, and sinker. My heart never stood a chance with this complicated hero. I have definitely foind my next book boyfriend. He commanded your attention, while dominating your heart. Every word out of his mouth oozed temptation and sin. Haunted by the demons of his past, Rutledge pulled at my heart strings many times. You couldn’t help but admire how passionate, and loving his character was. Even if hw had unique ways of showing it.
“He’d never write for Hallmark, but I couldn’t lie, I preferred his way with words.”
*5 STARS*
Well earned for this hot and steamy co-write. I certainly hope to see more from these two authors. They left loads of potential with this book so I will keep my fingers crossed.
Hybrid author novels can be hard to master. This pair nailed it! I didn’t feel any shift of tone or voice (which can happen, and when it does tosses me out of the world of the story completely) and this particular story would have suffered for it.
As it is, I enjoy the tension behind Rutledge’s secrets and the sweetness of Peyton. I struggle hard with Rut as a human, especially in the beginning, and his obliviousness to why his character flaws might be undesirable. This odd pairing really does work well together, and at the core this romance is steamy and entertaining to watch unfold.
I would amend the assertion that ‘even small towns have secrets’… being the product of a very small town I would put some good money on the fact that small towns have especially dark, nasty secrets, as evidenced here!
Another good one to put on your list!
Holy freaking hotness!!! I wasn’t too sure of what I should expect when I began reading this book written by two authors. I was absolutely blown away!!!! Their writing flows smoothly and I found this to be a quick read. I literally didn’t want to put my kindle down! Rutledge is the hot, sexy alpha male and Peyton is a down to earth, spunky and very love able girl. The banter between the two of them is hysterical and heartfelt. Their chemistry is through the roof and the sex scenes are sizzling!!! I absolutely can’t wait to read Liz and Anthony’s next collaboration!!
I have been in love with Liz’s writing for a while (she is well aware of this :-)) but I have never read anything from Anthony Dwayne before. I can honestly say I absolutely LOVED this book and the collaboration between them was simply flawless. Anthony Dwayne now has a new fan.
What a great start to a new series. The writing was flawless, with great pacing and characters. They dealt with some heavy issues in a brilliant way. They perfectly blended the tough bits with some humour spotted throughout
Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down! how needs sleep anyway?!?!
Rutledge was the brooding sexy male that I normally love. He could make you swoon but could also make your blood boil with his typical maleness! Peyton was a sweetheart, so warm and caring, a beautiful contrast to Rutledge’s brooding.
I don’t want to say too much with my review as you need to experience this beauty for yourself.
