It’s a predator eat predator world for the Were-Hunters. Danger haunts any given day. There is no one to trust. No one to love. Not if they want to live… An orphan with no clan that will claim him, Wren Tigarian grew to adulthood under the close scrutiny and mistrust of those around him. A forbidden blend of two animals–snow leopard and white tiger–Wren has never listened to anyone when there … listened to anyone when there was something he wanted. Now he wants Marguerite.
Marguerite D’Aubert Goudeau is the daughter of a prominent U.S. Senator who hates the socialite life she’s forced to live. Like her mother before her, she has strong Cajun roots that her father doesn’t understand. Still, she has no choice but to try and conform to a world where she feels like an outsider. But the world of rich and powerful humans is never to meet the world of the Were-Hunters who exist side by side with them, unseen, unknown, undetected. To break this law is to call down a wrath of the highest order.
In order to have Marguerite, Wren must fight not just the humans who will never accept his animal nature, but the Were-Hunters who want him dead for endangering their world. It’s a race against time and magic without boundary that could cost Marguerite and Wren not just their lives, but their very souls…

Wren & Maggie’s story is one of my favorites in this series! I ache for the things Wren has suffered in his life & the way he’s treated, even by ppl who are supposed to be his Sanctuary. He does have friends, tho even they are wary of him. And he had Nick… Oh, NICK! *sob*
Maggie also had a friend in Nick, and that’s the connection that brings …
Wren is very unique in the Were-Hunter world, but because of that he is not accepted by the other Were-Hunters. He has lived his life alone trying to survive those who want him dead. Maggie meets Wren when she goes to Sanctuary to have a drink in memory of Nick Gautier, who was a friend of hers from school. She doesn’t quite know what to think …
I am a fan and I never get tired of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s, Dark Hunters, Dream Hunters and bad-assed Dragons. Acheron and Styx were hard but worth every tear shed.
OMG! I loved Wren. Like completely, helplessly, and hopelessly fell in love with him. Just… so awesome. Maggie was pretty neat, too, but Wren… wow.
Initially the story of somewhat antisocial meeting an unlikely mate didn’t sound so interesting, but somehow it grew on me. Lots of sweet romance alongside heat and action.
Wren’s story was tragic, but he found his happily ever after. The time jumping was awesome.
Wren is a white tigard living at Sanctuary ever since his parents died. Maggie new Nick who has disappeared and she and her study group go the Sanctuary to have a drink in Nick’s memory. Wren is attracted to Maggie the State Senator’s daughter. One of her classmates throws his drink in Wren’s eyes and gets thrown out. Wern is one of the richest …
My second favorite in the Dark Hunter Series.
