I had to stop reading this book 50 pages in because of the unbelievable lack of editing that kept distracting me. There were misspellings, incorrect tenses, an abundant overuse and misuse of commas, etc.
I can overlook a few grammatical errors but this author absolutely butchered English grammar!!!!
Phil Price is an excellent story teller and can make even the unbelievable seem real. He combines vampires, alternate universes and parallel dimensions with modern day trials, and comes up with a story that is a true page-turner. His characters are solid, emotionally true, and heroic! The story is highly enjoyable.
However, I can only give the book three stars because Mr. Price needs desperately to invest in a copy editor. There are grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors throughout. The tense in which the story is written is constantly shifting. In some places it read as if a paragraph (or two) have been misplaced. But even this tells how good of a storyteller Mr. Price is that I read the book through to the end with all of this going against it. Normally, I would have quit at the end of the first chapter.
Bravo, Mr. Price! Now, hire that editor.
A trip into ‘mans’ fears. Dark, absorbing…a page turner.
It was a little way out to be remotely believeable.
I really tried to give this book a chance. The story line is interesting but the author jumps between scenes often and the flow is choppy. Not only does he jump from characters’ stories, he also jumps between tenses within the same paragraph. The book was not proofread and I spent much of my time re-reading sentences trying to understand what the author intended to write. I finally gave up about halfway through. Simply unreadable.
Had me intrigued from beginning to end. The author did an excellent job weaving all the stories and time travel together without the reader getting lost or losing interest.
Poorly written, edited, needs a better proofreader, grammar mistakes. I didn’t even bother to finish reading this book.
