Uniquely mine is a fast-paced thriller that had me hooked from page one when we meet serial killer Mark Chambers. Mark Chambers has the perfect job, the perfect family, dresses well and attracts women but he has a perverse sick side to him. His mind and actions make for a fascinating cat and mouse game as he brilliantly evades the police. Fitz Rodriguez is the primary detective on this case. The investigation becomes personal when he uncovers that his life long friend ‘s sister Makenna and woman who’s been in love with with is a potential target. Can he put his complicated feelings aside to catch the killer and protect Makenna? Filled with great characters, hot scenes and a unique romance this book will have you turning the pages.
Great read
The fitz series is awesome so far. I haven’t read a crime and suspense book in a few months so this book has renewed my love for them. Serial killer Mark is very cocky thinking he’s off the police’s radar.Makenna sounds extremely hard headed so she needs Fitz who she’s been in love with forever to be her Superman. Fitz is the best criminal investigator NYC has he immerses himself in the killers mind until he finds him. Will it be enough to save his family.
This is a fast-paced, action packed book that I could not put down. This story is deftly told from the alternating points of view of the key players in the story. The characters are complex, and believable; it was interesting getting to know them. I was kept on the edge of my seat in suspense and anticipation. The author does a great job of bringing the reader in to the story. A book well worth reading.
Chilling look into a killer’s mind, a child’s horror and a healing romance! Loved the strength yet vulnerability of the characters and the steadfast family unity of the Justice family. Uniquely good thriller! First in a 2 book series. 4 1/2 stars.
Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat almost from the first page until the last with a serial killer and his sick mind and the man who plans to take him down. It is filled with suspense as a serial killer is on the loose killing victim after victim with his sick twisted games. He loves to play with his victims before he kills them leaving the reader with their heart in their throat. He has his eyes on Detective Fitz women. Fitz will do anything to protect those he loves. The hunt is on for one mad man can he be stopped before he takes his next victim or will Fitz be able to stop him.
This could be right out of the pages of a true crime book, the story is very realistic, and the characters feel real. I really liked how she portrayed Mark letting us really get into his mind seeing who he really is. Serial killers have always been something I have been very interested in, the one thing missing in true crime is being able to see how their mind words. I thought the author did a great job showing this which really pulls the reader in. She really does a wonderful job showing how all this affects each character as well as showing their feelings and just what they are thinking.
The story is full of murder, violence, action, suspense and will keep you invest from the very first page. I was so spellbound I couldn’t put the book down. It really is a page turn that held my attention from the start. If you love mysteries, murder, serial killers, suspense, actions this is the story for you. This is the first time I have read this authors work and can’t wait to read more of it.
Loved! Fitz! This book was my first from this author and I’ll be seeking out more! Loved!

I’ve read a few Theresa Sederholt books and this one, and I have a feeling this series, will be a favorite of mine. Probably not my favorite book from this author, that’s reserved for another, but I absolutely loved how the author was able to balance out the mystery and suspense with the romance between the characters.
If I had one complaint…I really wish we would’ve known why Mark Chambers turned to killing. What just snapped for him with the first woman and made him go on his killing rampage?
The multiple POVs was handled extremely well; each character’s personality was quite distinct. The plot was compelling and pretty hardcore. The romance was a bit dysfunctional but worked.
There should probably be a BDSM mention in the warnings however.
