One of the best books I have ever read. Full of war history and a beautiful love story. I read the e-book, but had to order a hard copy for my little home library.
Good read. Takes you back to horrors of WWII. Happy, sad, a little of everything.
Well written, story in a story.
This series is wonderful. While using the base characters, it wanders into the dramatic stories of greats and grands. It’s all good!
I would recommend every book by this author. I have always enjoyed each book. I have never been disappointed and don’t think you will be either. All books in the series deserve five stars.
Romantic story mostly set in WWII England and France.
Just a good read that shows the background of some of the characters. I like that as it can explain why they behave as they do. Always surprises in Dan Walsh’s books!
The writer is a wonderful story teller, to the point it makes you feel the story is real. I don’t think this statement is too far away from the truth since it’s based on WWII and the occupation of France by the Germans as well as their bombing of the UK.
Loved this book, and the others in the series.
I really enjoyed the history and meeting the characters in the past.
The story moves between modern day and World War II, breathing life and soul into what to most of us is an historical event.
Couldn’t put it down! Hated to see it end, but now I’m reading the other books in the series.
I liked it, wasn’t ready for it to end
Enjoyed -recommend for my book club
Liked very much Very touching Made me laugh and cry. Makes a person realize how bad the war was .
I don’t usually like war stories but this was riveting. My highest marks to this author.
I really like books about World War II and this was a very good book. Now I have read all the books in this series. Dan Walsh is a very good author. Love his stories.
The book was somewhat predictable.
I haven’t finished it yet but I’m not captivated by the characters. It’s very slow this first half that I have read. Not sure I will be able to finish it.
I enjoyed this book. But feel it would have made more sense for me if I had read the previous books in the series.
