CristinaMonsters don’t hide in the dark. When I met Damian Di Santo in a dark corridor of my family home I knew he was a monster. I was a scared girl.He was already a man. That was when his twisted countdown began.Marked by dead roses and sharp thorns, eight years passed each bringing me closer to becoming his. Until the eve of my eighteenth birthday. That was the night he returned to claim me. … eighteenth birthday.
That was the night he returned to claim me.
Damian
Circumstance put Cristina on my path.
Fate bound her to me.
Cristina and I share a common past. A single night that changed the course of our lives.
She asked me if I was a monster the night I met her.
I am.
She’s about to learn I’m her monster.
Because the countdown that began eight years ago has ended. Her time is up.
On the stroke of midnight, she’s mine.

Hot, dark, and twisted, just the way I like my books!!!! Natasha Knight ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF!!!! YES MA’AM!!!!
This book will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! I love all things Natasha Knight but if I’m being totally honest this book is by far, in my opinion, the best book she has ever written it is also by far the best book I have read in 2020. Damian and Cristian are both broken and damaged but Damian used that pain to become greatness a legend in the making and you can’t help but love Cristian.
This book was dark, suspenseful and very addicting.I loved it.
The night Christina lost her mom and brother is the night she lost right to choose her future, because in the car that her father had hit was a very dangerous man who wanted revenge for what he lost that night.Year later,Christina meet her future captor but she was only child ten ,ten years later Damian has come for her.
This book had a certain veil of mystery and I wasn’t able to say what was happening all the time. The plot was interesting and it kept me on edge.I loved Damian and Christina.
Definitely a must read for those who love this author.
This author is one of the BEST in this community. One of the BEST in her genre. One of the BEST writers I have read. And this book is a great example of why.
I fell in love with Cristina from the very start. With her 10 year old adventurous self. Then Damian waltzed in and showed me WHY he is one of my most prized bad boys. Age gap is MY FAVORITE. And this one was so so so good. So dark. So delectable. Cristina and Damian had the most intense chemistry!! The hate that turned into lust had me on the edge of my seat for the entire ride! It felt like a tease and I can’t wait for the next book to seenit explode.
From the moment Cristina became “his” the sexual chemistry sizzled. The same night she was taken. Damian was ruthless, cunning, dont take no for an answer and dont like to repeat himself BUT he showed inner kindness to her from day 1. He had a heart but didn’t show it. They both shared a tragedy and deep down I think it helped them bond more.
This book is an example of WHY Natasha Knight is the queen of arranged marriage romances. That ending had me shook! What will happen now that brother #2 is in the picture? I cannot wait to find out!
Dark reads are my all time favourite. And once again this author has delivered with ticks in all the boxes.
Damien is a monster in the dark to a very young Cristina when at first their paths cross. Fast forward to the eve of her 18th birthday and he shows himself as the devil who is about to destroy the only live she has left. A contract she knows nothing about says she now belongs to him and there is no way out.
With every page you turn this great story will throw around your emotions and your brain as the twists will have you second guessing everything you thought you knew.
As with every duet there is a nail biting ending were we curse the author, but we will always come back for more. Is it time for book 2 yet???
There is always something dark and delicious when you read a book by Natasha Knight. This one, Unholy Union, was no different. There are different aspects to the story. The age gap… Mafia… But ultimately for me, it was the arranged marriage that was pretty much forced. I’ve read a few books that had the arranged marriage aspect and I always wondered how the heroine was going to act. Was she going to put up a fight? Was she going to be as clever as her counter part? Was she going to lay back and take it? Ugh… I was always hope they never do the later. Cristina was a heroine that knew her mind. She wasn’t going to have anyone nuff out her fire. I’m interested to see Damien’s transformation. How much will he change because of Cristina? How will they grow as a couple together and/or apart? It always love to see a character come into their own.
You did NOT leave the book like that!!! That Cliffhanger is cruel torture!!!!
Omg! I love these mafia-esque books with forced marriages and mystery with twists and turns.
“Because she’ll learn that I am her master. And that while I’m her jailor, I’m also the only thing standing between her and the true evil in this house.”
He wants to hate her but deep down, doesn’t. He’s saving her and he’s got plans.
I’m shook over that cliffhanger though.
This was a great book. Short but a fun read.
UNHOLY UNION is the first book of the Unholy Union Duet and it ends on a cliffhanger.
Christina’s mother and brother were killed in a car accident and her father died a year later so she has been raised by her uncle. Damian first met Christina when she was just 10 years old. She didn’t understand what was going on, but it was the night her father died. Each year since the accident she receives a gift of roses counting down till she turns 18. At 18 she learns that she is forced to go to Damian as a way to atone for her family’s sins all those years ago. I don’t want to say too much about what happens next, but there are definitely many dark elements to this story. At times Damian is her savior, but other times he is her worst nightmare.
Luckily the second book is releasing in a few weeks so we don’t have to wait too long for the conclusion to this twisted tale.

I loved reading this story. As much as it frustrated me, I loved it. Now it only frustrated me because the characters were doing things I told them not to. So you can understand.
Cristina is a wonderful character. She is thrust into a situation that wasn’t her fault and yet she must pay for the sins of her father. I love her moxie. She has a great spirit and despite her situation fights against the bars threatening to cage her in. I also loved her cousin because he showed maturity and strength beyond his years. There is a closeness with her cousins and it rips at you knowing that she is forced to leave them for their protection.
Damian is a hard man to read. I wonder if he will carry out his father’s plans or whether he will fight against his father’s will. Certain actions make you think that maybe he will… but then it seems like his actions are only self-serving like him forcing a new situation on Cristina. I say this because of an interesting tidbit when he said that only a Valentina could run the foundation. This is why I am not sure about Damian’s intentions.
The surprise at the end certainly changes the tables and I wonder which monster we should really fear. It was an engrossing read and I completely devoured it. It’s a statement to Natasha Knight and her writing. I cannot wait to see what the new developments mean for both Cristina and Damian.
‘m a huge fan of Natasha and her dark and twisted words. She has not disappointed. From the beginning she had me hooked. Debts must be paid and trust must be earned and Damian is one to take what he wants. Cristina and Damian will pull you in and have you begging for more. Can’t wait to see what happens next!!
Natasha Night, you keep me up all night. I read Unholy The Beginning a few weeks ago, and I was waiting for this book with such anticipation that I felt like a drug addict waiting their next hit. But my God, this book was worth all the waiting. I stayed up until 4AM to finish the whole book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down until I was done. Now I feel like I’m missing something- my drug “Unholy Intent” lol. Anyway, this was a great book and I really enjoyed reading it, and I’m really looking forward to the next book. Natasha, you are awesome! Take your time and make the best book ever!
The is Book 1 of Unholy Union Duet.
This is the story of Damian & Cristina. Damian has been in revenge mode for eight years, waiting for Cristina to turn eighteen to fulfill it. This is a dark and evil story. There are twists and turns throughout, especially for Cristina. Damian is a monster but has just a bit of a soft spot for Cristina. She hates him, but is attracted to him in a twisted way. It is a well written book leading up to the next one. The surprise at the end leaves you anticipating what will happen in the next book.
Tension, suspense, and chemistry! I am a huge fan of Natasha’s and this book will not disappoint. I love how Cristina and Damian are dealing with what destiny has forced upon them! I am
So excited and can not wait for book 2!!
I’m not sure if I was just really in the mood for a dark romance, or if Unholy Union really was that good, but I could not put this book down! I read it in almost one sitting, barely coming up for air. And I’m going to go ahead and say that it really was that good!
Unbeknownst to Cristina, her life is turned upside down when on her 18th birthday she is handed over to the man who bought her eight years previously. She knew that something was happening when every year she would get one less rose, a countdown of sorts. She just didn’t realize it would be to the man who helped her back to bed when she was 10 years old. Damian, who is ripe to take over as head of the family, has wanted her since before he should have and will stop at nothing to keep what his father has bought. Damian takes Christina away from her home and city to his family compound, where she’s held in her room until useful. They find that they’re like oil and water with one another, and that only leads to more sparks between them. Cristina won’t stop fighting until she finds out why she’s there, or how to be free and Damian refuses to let her in, keep dark secrets of his own.
This is such a slow burn in the best possible way. A lot of times I get annoyed, because I feel things move too slowly, but the chemistry between Damian and Christian is so that I loved just how slow it was written. It seriously added to the sparks when those steamy scenes happen.
If you’re looking for a hot tension and steam, and a mafia loving reader, then this book is for you! Make sure you read it so you’re ready for the second half of the duet, which drops next month! I CANNOT wait!!!!
This is my perfect type of book, I love Natasha Knight’s books and this one well damn, it’s fantastic! I need more, I really need that. Cristina and Damian’s story is a dark mafia with arranged marriage, age gap with all the perfect mix of angst, mystery, and suspense that will have you reading it in no time, I couldn’t stop reading at all. Brilliant and I mean brilliant 5 stars!
This is the first book in the Unholy Union Duet, and the story of Damien, and Cristina. Promised to Damien of her 18th Birthday, and he has come to collect. This was a great read, the characters are well written, and have explosive chemistry, and I was glued to the pages. This was dark, twisted, intense, suspenseful, dramatic, gritty, and steamy. I can’t wait to continue this duet!
Another deliciously dark, sexy read by Natasha Knight! He was full of darkness, violence, possessiveness and domination. She refused to back down and act like a helpless victim. It’s a winning combination!
Once I started, I couldn’t put it down, and I can’t wait for the conclusion now!
Cristina is living a lie and her life changes when she turns eighteen. She is given to Damien as a payment for her father’s debt. The two are enemies with a common goal. Cristina wants to know the truth and Damien just wants to own her. This is a deliciously, dark twisted tale of enemies to lovers with plenty of steam. Highly recommended!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
There is a novella the author wrote titled Unholy. That is the true beginning to this duet. If you want some understanding of our main characters, please take a moment to read it. That is where our journey actually begins.
Christina doesn’t understand what’s happening. She is a piece of a puzzle that we will need to figure out. I loved how she fights for herself and for what she believes in. She may be young but she’s smart beyond her years. At times she’s apprehensive in how to proceed.
Damian is a man to be reckoned with. he expects his orders to be blindly obeyed. It was not difficult to picture him as a subject of the reality crime shows that I watch – never realized how deep reaching those shows are becoming until I read this book. The author makes it very easy for me to see him portrayed front and center. He is the one who seems to have all the answers so you need to listen when he speaks.
This is a book that I would happily pay to watch as a movie, Keanu Reeves in the lead, or listen to the audiobook version. It would add another dimension to what I’m trying to play in my head. The author may not have meant to but she gets me to laugh especially when it comes to someone else’s pain. I knew immediately that this was not a standalone. If I’d had the time, I would have pulled an all-nighter so that I could complete the book in one shot. And I’m happy that I don’t have to wait too long to find out what’s going to happen in Unholy Intent because I’m not very good at having to wait for something that I want now.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Wow! This is an amazing first book in the captivating Unholy Union Duet, a dark romance. This book contains the prologue Unholy: The Beginning. Damian and Cristina are great characters. Cristina is young, innocent, and surprisingly very strong. Damian is dark, ruthless, dangerous, and intriguing. He is the perfect antihero. They share and horrible past, and this is what brings them together. Their slow burn is well written, and they share an undeniable chemistry. The storyline is fast paced and enthralling, filled with secrets, danger, and twists and turns. The world building is well done, dark, and complex. Impossible to put it down. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to read Unholy Intent, the conclusion of this duet. Natasha Knight NEVER disappoints, and she always delivers us well built and captivating stories, with strong, dark and intriguing characters.
