SOME AMISH COMMUNITIES AREN’T SO COZY.
Unholy Ground is the gripping new installment to the Serenity’s Plain Secrets’ mystery/crime thriller series.
Sheriff Serenity Adams journeys to a northern Indiana Amish settlement to search for a missing girl, and discovers a young outsider has also vanished into thin air. Serenity suspects the cases are connected, and joins forces with an unlikely ally … an unlikely ally to find answers. Each book gets better and better. The characters disclose a little bit more about themselves with each book. The story builds with each chapter with a stunning conclusion. I have to mention that each book has a teaser for the next book. Initially I thought it was a cliffhanger but I have changed my mind. Each book can definitely be a stand alone book. But with series it is usually best to start at the beginning. Well worth the journey.
I really like the Amish community and to hear about thing they do in every day life, the sheriff is wonderful
Absorbing.
It was not your traditional Amish story, but definitely presented some new (to me) information on the Amish people. I had to immediately purchase another book in
this series.
Once again Sheriff Serenity is pressed into service to help an Amish family who is concerned about a 14 year old girl who has gone missing. Another great story by Ms Hopkins. I love this series and am looking forward to the next (book 8) in the series.
Hopkins is always amazing!
A good novel that brings light to a very serious problem in the world.
Really easy and fast read
Another great book in this series by Karen Ann Hopkins. Well written, great characters. I have read the entire series and I keep waiting for one to miss the mark, I’m still waiting. Oh, and, each book has a beginning a middle, and an ending.
Gripping, edge of your seat page turner not soon forgotten
This book gave an excellent view of life in an Amish community and had a mystery to be solved concerning one in their group. It definitely made me want to read more of the several “Serenity stories”in the series. It was well written and engaged my interest throughout the book.
This was a very different view of Amish than I have normally seen. I found it interesting and probably realistic.
I could not stop reading this book . Very gripping story!
I like seeing a different, not so idyllic view of the Amish, stirred together with some crime and a good mystery – makes for a great read.
FBI love this series. I think I have read most of them
This is an informative book. I thought it should explain more of the sex trade business but she had to keep it short to fit into the book. As always well put together and a good read
I thought this book was very interesting – any insight into the Amish way of life is interesting to me. The interaction of Amish and ‘English’ was well done, add human trafficking into the mix and you get a good read!
A very good series, good plot, interesting characters.
I really enjoyed this book! The characters and story line were so good that I couldn’t put it down. This was my first book with this author and I will definitely be getting more of her books. This is a definite must read!
Love the series, can’t wait for the next book.
