A fun, quick read. This is the seventh in the Misfit Brides series. Ten years ago, Tarra Blue and Ben Garcia met and got married in Las Vegas. They thought that they had the marriage annulled, but the paperwork was never filed. Tarra has tracked Ben down to get a divorce, but Ben wants to try again. This is a sweet story with very likable characters. I wish that there was more time spent on the re-establishment of their relationship. It seemed a bit rushed. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for my honest review.
This is number 7 of 7. This time up Tarra Blue and Ben Garcia. Tarra is about to marry the man she thought she loved until a serious problem arises. Now she finds herself in Florida looking for someone she left behind. The sparks are still there. Can the give it another try?
I enjoyed revisiting the Blue sisters.
What I liked:
The writing style
The characters
Part of a series: Misfit Brides
Standalone
HEA
Epilogue
I look forward to reading more from this author.
This is a quick sweet read as we follow Tarra to Florida to get a divorce from the man she quickly married in Las Vegas a decade ago. Ben is at a turning point in his life and when he sees Tarra again he realizes what he has been missing. I love their immediate renewal as friends and appreciate that they still share a strong physical attraction. I really liked the maturity of these two characters and ho Tarra handled the women Ben’s mother had lined up for him at dinner. You can tell that Ben has been a powerful business man because once he makes the decision that he wants to woo Tarra he goes all out. He is very romantic and I loved the tea bouquet.
A quick sweet read to wrap up the Bliss Misfit Brides series
This is a short and very sweet read. What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Lovely to watch Ben and Tarra reconnect.
Book 7 in the Misfit Brides Series. This is Ben and Tarra’s story who was married 10 years ago in Vegas and thought they were divorced. They reconnect, find out they still have chemistry, she’s pregnant and Ben has to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up!
The book is a second chance, short story with no lies or cheating. It is a stand alone issue and doesn’t have to be read in order.
Sweet!! This is a light, sweet & fun story about second chances. Tara and Ben had a Vegas wedding ten yrs. ago and three days later (supposedly divorced) they went their separate ways. Ten yrs. later life plays a cruel joke and Ben and Tara were NEVER divorced. And that’s where the fun begins!! I loved this story and am so happy Tara got her HEA!
Jamie Farrell is back with one last hurrah for a Misfit Bride. Tarra and Ben find themselves caught between a spur of the moment decision and forever. Farrell creates another charmingly, hilarious splash with a couple of newlyweds, that aren’t. Vegas is the mecca of bad choices. Ben and Tarra got married, then annulled and went their separate ways. Now that one event has come back to haunt them and the ghost of weddings past could end up being the best decision they ever made. Unhitched is a smile zone. Fun is only a misstep away.
Finally, Tarra gets her story. After being left at the altar, Tarra has to find the man she spent an incredible 3 days with in Vegas and married and though she divorced. This sends her to Coconut Bay and a very interesting first encounter with Ben, her husband. Ben is at a crossroads after his best friend and partner died from a heart attack, he is realizing his drive for the next big deal may not be the best approach for his life. When Tarra appears, she is like a breath of fresh air and just what he needs. Ben realizes that maybe they shouldn’t get divorced but Tarra seems determined that they should. Will Ben be able to break through Tarra’s walls? Always a wonderfully fun and sexy journey with one of the Blue sisters and this one didn’t disappoint.
Jamie Farrell delivers another amazing book with Unhitched. This is a quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Farrell has once again given us a well-written book loaded with outstanding characters. Tarra travels to Coconut Bay to get her divorce papers signed. Ben had other ideas. Ben and Tarra’s story is packed with drama, humor, spice and lots of water delivery methods. I loved this book from start to finish and hope to read more from Jamie Farrell in the future. Unhitched is book 7 of the Misfit Brides Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a great addition to the wonderful Misfit Brides Series, Unhitched may be a quick read but that takes nothing away from this funny romantic story. Tara Blue needs to find the man she married 10 years ago in Vegas she needs to get Ben Garcia to sign the divorce papers so she can move in with her life but more importantly the baby she is carrying life. Ben Garcia was a businessman when he married Tara and he walked away because his company meant more to him than any relationship but things change and after his partner dropping down dead and his mum being diagnosed with cancer he now spends his days as a Florida beach bum watching over deck chairs. When Tara and Ben meet again feelings quickly come into play but will they act on them or will they walk away again…..
This quick read had me laughing out loud, I loved the banter between Ben and the women his mother has lined up for him to marry and Tara fitted in just perfectly. If you want a book that will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat this is the perfect summer read. Reading Unhitched made me realise just how much I missed the funny antics of the Misfit Brides time for a re read or maybe a new bride.
There are few authors who can take a short novella and make it seem like it’s a full length book, complete with hysterical characters and a great storyline. Jamie Farrell is a master storyteller, her books are always filled with humor, sass, unconventional characters that leave you with a smile on your face and laughter on your lips. I absolutely adore her and the books she writes. Tarra and Ben’s story picks up 10 years after they did the spontaneous Vegas wedding and three days later the subsequent divorce, but the divorce never went through, so Tarra has come to Coconut Bay to get Ben’s signature on the second divorce attempt after not seeing him for 10 years. Tarra is now pregnant with her ex fiancé’s child, something she doesn’t want Ben to know, but who knew there would still be sparks between these two people who should no longer be married. Loved the reappearance of the Blue sisters and family, since this is the last book in the series, Jamie once again showed just how good she is and wrapped up this series with an incredible book.
Those of us who have read everything that Jamie Farrell has written know just how special of a writer she is. Sadly she is taking a step back from writing, which has her readers lost. It also makes this book extra extraordinary because not only is it a classic Jamie Farrell written book, but we all at least got closure on a pretty incredible series. Loved every single one of the Misfit Bride characters, each has their own unique humor and personality, so if you haven’t read the series, give yourself a special treat and start with book one. You won’t be sorry. I wish Jamie only the best for her and her very special family, but one thing is for sure, when she decides to pick up where she left off, her fans will be waiting with certain happiness to pick up where we all left off, another great book from the incredibly talented, hysterical and bacon loving Jamie Farrell….
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
Unhitched is the seventh and final book in the Misfit Brides series by Jamie Farrell. I have loved this series from the start, each and every book has stolen my heart, made me laugh, and brightened my world. I’m sorry to see it come to an end but so happy that we get Tarra’s story.
If you remember in the previous book, Tarra Blue was on the verge of getting married, only to discover that she was already married. So when her fiancé realized this, he left her at the alter. The warning signs had been there for Tarra, that he wasn’t right for her, but she ignored them. Now she needs to hunt down her “husband” and finally get a proper divorce.
Ben Garcia had been a corporate hot shot, raking in the money hand over fist, living the life. It was during a weekend ten years ago on a trip to Vegas that he had met Tarra. They spent three days together and something magical happened. He proposed, she said yes, and they got married. Only to wake up to reality and realize they had separate lives they needed to return to. They filed for divorce and went their separate ways, Ben going back to his stressful life. Only no matter how many millions of dollars he made, he never really felt happy or fulfilled. Then after his partner dropped dead, he left everything and went to Coconut Bay, Florida to care for his sick mother and seemingly become a beach bum.
Imagine his surprise when he saw Tarra walk onto the beach in Coconut Bay. And even more surprise when he realizes that they are still married. One touch and he knows that whatever that magical thing is that happened ten years before, it’s still there between them. No sooner did Tarra come back into his life that he felt like a missing puzzle piece had clicked back into place. That ever since he let her walk away ten years ago, he had been in a holding pattern, waiting for her to come back to him.
“She didn’t have time for a fling. Not with anyone, especially a man she needed to get a divorce from. Whom she barely knew at all. But whom her body remembered like their time together had been yesterday.”
Tarra needed time to get over her previous fiancé. She had complications now, a life to get back to. She couldn’t let this man who she had this unexplainable connection to, back into her life. She just needs him to sign the papers and she’ll go home to Bliss, Illinois, and her life. Only the longer she spends with Ben, the more she is tempted to give in to the pull he seems to have on her.
This was such an adorable story. Tarra and Ben were perfect together. Ten years ago they found each other but perhaps they weren’t ready for each other yet. Maybe they needed this time to find themselves before they could find each other again. We get glimpses into all of the couples we have fallen in love with during this series. The Blue family is practically a city themselves when they all get together. But of one thing I’m sure is that they are a family full of love and laughter and I am so happy to have been able to share this time with them over the course of this series.
