Before the Krewe of Hunters, there was Harrison Investigations. Be thrilled by this classic paranormal romantic suspense by the queen of the genre, New York Times bestselling author Heather Graham. When Sarah McKinley is finally able to buy and restore the historic Florida mansion that she has always loved, she dismisses the horror stories of past residents vanishing and a long-dead housekeeper … housekeeper who practiced black magic. Then, in the midst of renovations, she makes a grim discovery. Hidden within the walls of Sarah’s dream house are the remains of dozens of bodies–some dating back over a century.
The door to the past is blown wide open when Caleb Anderson, a private investigator, shows up at the mansion. He believes several current missing-persons cases are linked to the house and its dark past. Working together to find the connection and stop a contemporary killer, Sarah and Caleb are compelled to research the history of the haunted house, growing closer to each other even as the solution to the murders eludes them.
But there is one who knows the truth…a spirit who follows every move they make. Soon Caleb begins to fear that if he can’t stay a step ahead, he could lose Sarah to a killer with an ability to transcend time in a quest for blood and sacrifice.

They are always full of surprises.

UNHALLOWED GROUND by Heather Graham one of the early Harrison Investigation novels. Can houses be evil? Some believe that it is possible. Sarah moved back to St. Augustine to build the bed and breakfast business she has dreamed of forever. Murders from the past are connected to a series of murders happening now. UNHALLOWED GROUND is a fun …
Love all the Krewe Books
I love all of her books
I am a Heather Graham fan and this is one of her best books
Who buys a house that comes with hidden bodies, ties to missing and presumed murdered victims? No one ever wants to be that person! What if you have a handsome investigator who has some extra special ghostly assistance? Mix in chemistry with the investigator and now you have a very interesting book!
Love Heather Graham’s books
Light reading.
Heather Graham is always a go to for me when I’m looking for a good mix of paranormal in many different styles, romance that’s not overdone, characters that you get involved in, and that overlap in many different series so when you pick up one of her books you pick up a comforting universe.
I enjoyed this book. Heather Graham does not disappoint.
A wonderful read – her books always grip you!
I really enjoy this book series.
I usually love the author’s books so I am disappointed to say, skip this one. It started off great with four friends, a haunted house, two missing girls and Caleb, a man hired to find the missing girls.
The atmosphere, in the beginning, of St. Augustine, Florida added to the story with the myths and urban tales of an old witch, mortuary, …
another great read could not put it down.
