★Author’s Note: This book is a continuation, not a standalone. It is part of the trilogy “A Series of Moments” and it does end in a cliffhanger. If you want all three books in one volume, please consider “A Series of Moments” boxset, also available in KU.★ Jacob made a choice, but soon realizes he made the wrong one. The lights of Hollywood dim in comparison to the love he found with Lilly. He’s … comparison to the love he found with Lilly. He’s ready to fight tooth and nail to bring Lilly back into his life, but is it too late to undo the damage?
Lilly saw the writing on the wall when she met Jacob, but chose to follow her heart instead. Her foolish, naive heart. She’s learned her lesson—loving Jacob Edmonton was a bad idea in every sense of the word. She gave him her love, but instead of loving her back, he walked away. She vows to never make that same mistake again, but can she resist the man who holds all the pieces of her shattered soul?
Thousands of kilometers lie between them now, but distance isn’t Jacob’s toughest hurdle. He needs to convince Lilly that loving him wasn’t the gravest mistake she’s ever committed.
The heart wants what the heart wants—but can Lilly believe in Jacob again, or will her fears end any chance of reconciliation?

Second book in this series and just as good as the first. M.L Broome brought us Jacob and Lily and what a cliff hanger we were left with in the first one. This one brings up back to these two. This one has Jacob trying with everything he has to fix the mess he has made with Lily. You are taken on the emotional ride with Lily as she tries to deal with the fact that Jacob has broken her again but she still and always will have feelings for him. But will his career and evil ex always be in the way of his love for Lily? This was another emotional storyline. You are taken on another rollercoaster with these two. But so enjoyable from beginning to end. I absolutely love reading about Jacob and Lily and this series just keeps getting better and better. Cant wait to read the third one and see what finally happens.
Wow! What an awesome sequel. I love the way M.L. Broome continues to illustrate how bad secrets and miscommunication are for relationships, especially when both parties rely on assumptions. It is such an important message and I thank the author for taking the time to delve into why relationships unravel when these ingredients are thrown in.
Broome also highlights the need for vulnerability and putting oneself out there. Being able to trust one’s partner by doing this is so important and it is precisely when people try to guard themselves for fear of getting hurt that the real tragedies occur. Just like with Jacob and Lilly, it is when we build walls around ourselves that our most intimate relationships crumble. This is precisely why intimacy is so hard. It is human to be afraid, but when everything is so right, as it clearly is between Jacob and Lilly, keeping secrets and building walls are the reason why we fail to hold onto what is truly special.
I love the fact that the author also delves into the need to stand up for oneself. Knowing one’s own worth and not allowing manipulative people to get away with unacceptable behaviour is a hard step, but a lesson well worth learning because it comes with so many benefits. As I read, I kept finding myself willing Jacob to stand up for himself, to do what was right by him. I won’t lie, it does get a little frustrating, but Broome has mastered the craft of her storytelling, because there is no moment where I felt the situation lacked realism. It is believable, through and through. This particular situation also highlights that often we are too “kind” towards others, but in the end bring about our own suffering because of it. And that is where alcoholism comes into play as well. Broome’s descriptions indicate the very beginnings of the deep, soulful unhappiness of her characters in the way they turn to the legal drug that numbs the mind and emotional pain. This story illustrates how easy it is to fall into that pit from which it is so hard to claw one’s way out.
Another powerful message in this series is that what is right is not always easy, although I know for a fact that it has the best endings (so, I’m hoping, beyond hope that this too will be the case for Jacob and Lilly). I’m so glad the next book is already available so I don’t have to wait long to find out what happens.
This is the second book in the trilogy of A series of Moments. Jacob and Lily’s story continues. In this book we see that Jacob regrets his choice to let Lily go and now will do anything to get her back in his life. Lily figures that although her heart is shattered because Jacob watches her walk away, she is going to pickup her pieces and soldier on. Can Jacob convince Lily to give him another chance? All I can say is hang on to your hat and hold on tight as this roller coaster of events and emotions is a wild one full of ups and downs and of course twists and turns. I loved every moment of it. Enjoy!

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc
Jacob is in Greece doing the movie he has always wanted and had to deal with Victoria to get the part. It was tearing Jacob up that he had lost Lilly. He stopped calling his family in London because he didn’t want to hear Lilly had moved on. Victoria shows up in Greece trying to get Jacob back he tells her he didn’t want her and he loved Lilly. Meanwhile back in London Lilly gets mugged and the accomplished held off his friend and told Lilly to run but in a matter of course Lilly wound up on the ground and hitting her head. Jacob hearing this couldn’t take it any longer sand he told his director he had to leave and told her what happened to Lilly. Jacob goes back to London to be with Lilly and boy was she surprised to see him. Meanwhile Jacob tells her he is madly in love with this women and Lilly couldn’t take it one more minute. He finally tells it it was her he was madly in love with and the brunette he saw her with and took her call was his director. Jacob told Lilly about Miriam and how she helped him with trying to win her back. Jacob asks Lilly to marry him and she said yes how could she not. Then news comes in and it breaks almost all the bonds they just put together. Twists, turns, surprises and angst.
Before you start reading, go ahead and grab that box of Kleenex you had during the first book, you will empty it with this book. Lilly and her heart of gold is being put to the test time and time again. How will she survive another earth shattering heartbreak? Only one way to find out. Pick up the last and final book to this series. True love always wins in the end… doesn’t it?
This book picks up with a broken hearted Lilly after Jacob made his decision. He is on set in Greece with the viper Victoria. It doesn’t take him long to regret his choice and actions, as he embarks on trying to get Lilly back in his life. She isn’t so keen to be a second choice and puts him into the friend zone. It would appear men really are from Mars as Jacob is clueless when it comes to clearly communicating with Lilly. She is such a sweet person that she sits through video chats listening to Jacob tell her about his love interest, while her heart breaks. Everyone wants to see them work it out except for Enrique who wants Lilly for himself and the venomous Veronica. I’m going to go and lose myself in A Series of Moments, to see if Jacob and Lilly can finally live happily ever after.
I liked that this was a quick read. What I didn’t like is that the characters never really grew from the first book. They were still idiots, with Jacob being the biggest idiot in the world. He is always getting manipulated and doesn’t seem to have a spine at all.
