Filled with emotional turmoil and heartfelt redemption! With the next book in her beloved Silver Springs series, Brenda Novak is taking us back to where it all began and bringing Aiyana’s school into the forefront again. We meet a couple who were doomed by one impetuous decision that spiraled out of control. He’s trying to reconnect and though she wants to as well, she can’t figure out how to broach the fact that she’s kept such a huge secret for all of these years. It’s a very emotionally riveting read and pulls at our heartstrings heavily. Really loved this book and am looking forward to more of Tobias in the next book in the series!
One teenage mistake led to a changed world for Jada Brooks. Her little brother’s life changed irrevocably at the hands of another, and she was never let to forget that it was all her fault. She was forced to never speak to the boy she loved … not even to tell him she was carrying their baby. Now more than a dozen years have passed and Jada is coming home to Silver Springs. Had she known he would turn up in town around the same time, she would have never endangered the secret she holds dear … their 12 year old daughter Maya.
Maddox Richardson lives with his own regrets, but chances given to him over the years have led him to redeem himself and become the man he always wanted to be. He’s thrilled that Aiyana is giving him this opportunity at the new girls school she’s starting, and hopes returning to Silver Spring won’t come back to bite him. It doesn’t take long for news to reach him that she’s back. The only girl he ever loved. The one he’s never been able to forget. He knows he has to reach out and hope for forgiveness for the wrongs he helped cause, but he doesn’t know how hard it will be for them to be so close to each other, but yet so far.
This is the 5th in the Silver Springs series and Brenda Novak continues to write terrific stories that keep you interested until the very end. This was a wonderful story about forgiveness, love and starting over. This story of Jada and Maddox and their families was so hard to put down. I really enjoy Silver Springs and its people. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
Silver Springs is such a special town and it is shown once again in Unforgettable You. The strength of love, family and friends comes through strongly along with a second chance at love. This book might be my favorite in this series.
Another Brenda Novak hit! Jada and Maddox have to overcome several large obstacles in their lives before they can be happy together. The story is poignant. It focuses on the way some family dynamics can be destructive. It looks at forgiveness. Several of the characters have to learn to let go and forgive others and themselves to be able to move on to better things with their lives. Maya is a curious little girl and serves as a reminder of innocence and the search for truth. Bringing the truth into the light is what eventually allows Jada and Maddox to find their happily ever after.
Brenda writes such fantastic books. Every one is a winner! I can’t wait until the next book is published. This one makes you feel for the characters as they were teens and pray for their adult lives success
Unforgettable You is the latest book in Brenda Novak’s Silver Springs series. Jada Brooks has returned home to Silver Springs with her 12 year old daughter following her divorce. Both Jada and Maddox Richardson left Silver Springs 13 years ago after a tragic accident that left Jada’s younger brother paralyzed and in a wheelchair, and sent Maddox’s brother to prison. Everyone seemed to be paying the price for a stupid decision made by teenagers that turned tragic. To add to the story, Jada is keeping a HUGE secret from almost everyone.
I loved the sexting Jada and Maddox were doing, trying to get to know each other again! I also loved how Brenda Novak mentions Dr. Evelyn Talbot from her Hanover House series.
As always, Brenda Novak delivers another terrific book. I would definitely recommend reading it, and am looking for forward to the next book in the series.
Unforgettable You (Silver Springs, #5) was another great read by Brenda Novak. Jada’s life would forever change when she fell in love with the bod boy Maddox in high school. His troubled brother made a mistake that crippled her brother and it caused a rift between the two. Maddox had no idea that she was carrying his child. Maddox comes back to Silver Springs to make amends but never knew that Jada was back in town. She came to town after her father died. She is now haunted when she sees him with every decision she’s made with their daughter. She tries to fight her continued attraction while knowing she can’t keep Maya away from her father. But she doesn’t know how to tell him. I really enjoyed Jada and Maddox’s story and can’t wait to read more by Brenda Novak.
I absolutely loved the complexity of this story and how Maddox and Jada dealt with their mothers and brothers. And of course the romance between Maddox and Jada…loved this book!
I now have finished reading all the books currently released in this series. This is my favorite book of the series! I adore stories of past relationships that were broken, come back at a later time and then the meant to be union of the couple is reunited. Jada and Maddox were a high school romance for a short time. They had such a strong attraction and connection, but a tragedy led to their separation. Now 13 years later, their lives are still complicated, but this time as adults, they have the drive to try to overcome the obstacles.
Brenda Novak is a master storyteller and in this book and the others in this series, she brings the reader into the town of Silver Springs and you become part of the town. Her descriptions of the area bring everything to life. The characters become people you know and care about. The reading flows effortlessly and I was so drawn to finding out what will happen by the end of the book.
I recommend this book and as well as the others in this series. They all have their own unique plots and can be read independent, and out of order, but to have the full experience I believe reading in order is the best choice.
Jada Brooks and Maddox Richardson were star-crossed teenage lovers who were ripped apart the night Maddox’s brother Tobias, confused by drugs, shot and permanently crippled Jada’s brother Atticus. After Maddox left, Jada discovered that she was pregnant with his baby and had no way to let him know and, drowning in her family’s disapproval of her decision to keep the baby, she left town and moved to LA where she quickly married. It was a mistake and years later, she divorces and returns to Silver Springs with her daughter Maya. As luck would have it, Maddox has also returned to Silver Springs after accepting a position as principal at the New Horizons school for girls. They face many challenges in the second chance love story.
Well researched and action packed
Great story about overcoming obstacles and finding love.
A feel good story. Made me believe that even when things seem darkest, there’s always a tomorrow with a rainbow.
Thirteen years ago high school seniors Jada and Maddox went to a party. She was supposed to be taking care of her eleven year old brother, so she brought him along. Unfortunately, Maddox’s brother found a gun and shot Jada’s brother after taking drugs. Jada’s brother, Atticus,qq was paralyzed from the waist down and Maddox’s brother, Tobias, was sent to adult prison.
Thirteen years later and everyone is back or coming back to Silver Springs.
As with the rest of the Silver Springs books, this story is unique and the characters are (for the most part) good people who are just trying to live their best lives. They are sympathetic and deserve to be happy.
Very enjoyable book from one of my favorite authors. This book is a stand-alone, but the rest of the series is really good, too.
Good read
This second chance love story will hit readers right in the chest, especially those who would love a second change to put past mistakes in the past, find forgiveness, and begin to heal towards a happily-ever-after. Brenda Novak pens a tale of what happens when two people are willing to stand up for their love. You get a realistic story of heartache, guilt, and fear turned into forgiveness, loyalty, and finally joy. And although it’s not a complete tied-up-in-a-bow happily-ever-after, it is a satifying and realistic one.
Jada Brooks and Maddox Richardson were high school sweethearts until a tragic accident at a party during their senior year in which her younger brother, Atticus, was paralyzed, tore them apart. He was sent away, out of town, to another school. Jada, left behind, found herself pregnant and an outcast in her own family, blamed for what happened to her brother. Against her family’s wishes, she had the baby, moved to LA on her own, and eventually married someone else.
Now, years later, she is coming home after a sad divorce with ten-year-old Maya by her side. But she’s not the only one returning to Silver Springs. Maddox, a successful school administrator, has been hired by Aiyana Turner at the Silver Springs-based New Horizons Boys Ranch, where he had once been a pupil himself, to open up a new girls’ school.
“Unforgettable You” is a story with a number of twists. Even after the passing of 11 years, Jada and Maddox are still in love with each other. Her family never liked Maddox, and to complicate matters, it was Maddox’s brother, Tobias, under the influence of drugs, that shot Atticus the night of the party – a party that Jada had taken him to behind her parents’ backs. Jada’s father had recently passed away leaving her mother on her own and trying to support herself and Atticus with the income from a faltering bakery. Maddox and Jada had only been intimate one time and she didn’t know about the pregnancy before Maddox left and because of all the intertwining blame, she never searched him out to let him know that they had had a child.
It is a heartbreaking story but one of forgiveness and second chances. I found it to be a very emotional reading experience and with so many obstacles to overcome I was really rooting for a happily ever after ending. I recommend this book for romance readers that like secret baby stories and second chance romances. Although “Unforgettable You” is part of Brenda Novak’s “Silver Springs” series, it could easily be read and enjoyed on its own.
Brenda Novak has once again created a wonderful tale of second chance romance. Her talent for character development is amazing. I was privileged to return to Silver Springs for this fifth book in the series.
After the death of her father, Jada Brooks returned to Silver Springs with her daughter, Maya, to help her mother whose health is failing. Atticus, her brother, is confined to a wheelchair after being tragically shot when he was only eleven years old. Jada feels responsible for his being at the party where the tragedy occurred.
Maddox Richardson is the principal of the new girls’ school at New Horizons. Jada and Maddox have a past history that is very complicated. Needless to say, things get interesting when Jada and Maddox discover that they are both once again living in the town where they fell in love as teenagers.
I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it and the entire series to anyone who likes second chance, small town romances.
I received a copy of Unforgettable You from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
I like Brenda Novak. Once again she has created a cast of characters that pull you into the emotions of the story. There is a lot of drama throughout the book since both main characters are products of dysfunctional families. It’s one of those stories that makes you count your blessing!
My only regret with this book is that it ended. I love Novak books, that is why as soon as they come out I buy them. This is book #5 in the Silver Springs series and continues with the life of Jada and Maddox. Jada returns to Silver Springs with her daughter and stays with her mom and brother, Atticus.
She works at her mom’s cookie store and everything is fine until Maddox returns. She had a history with him 13 years before where her brother was shot and crippled during a party that Maddox and his brother attended.
It didnt end well but after 13 years Jada finds herself still in love with Maddox but with the past haunting her she now has to make some tough decisions. If you want to get involved in the people who make up Silver Springs, start reading this series (Finding Our Forever, Series #1) because I promise you will keep buying the next book, and the next book and the next book.
