Sometimes being an optimist is hard work. My name is Brendon Osmond. I’m a 25 year old post-graduate student who knows three things with absolute conviction. I know damn near everything there is to know about keeping in peak physical shape. I have a plan to make a lot of money from that knowledge. I’m an optimist who’s not easily rattled. But then the girl I fell in love with almost two years ago … girl I fell in love with almost two years ago texts me out of the blue and everything I know is thrown out the window.
Am I rattled?
No. Not until I fly to the other side of the world and discover the girl I fell for has kept a very big secret from me. A secret that mocks all my knowledge of the human body and how to keep it healthy. A secret that shatters my plans for my own personal training business.
A secret with my eyes.
A secret who needs me more than I can comprehend. Ask me again if I’m rattled.
Now, ask me if I’m still in love…

Brendon and Amanda had a short-lived affair several years previously, but never forgot each other. While Brendon lives in Australia, Amanda lives in the United States. Brendon has an open and optimistic approach to life, but Amanda is keeping secrets. They are both in for the emotional roller coaster ride of their short lives. This story is exceptionally well written with characters you won’t soon forget. I applaud this author for her addressing the issues inherent with pediatric cancers. Great read!

REVIEW
This is a heartbreaking and amazing read at the same time, I started this in the wee hours of the morning and I could not put it down! This is book two in the Always Series and focuses on Brendon Osmond, this is his story about the girl that got away. He as only ever loved two people, one of whom is now his best friend Maci (we got her story in Unconditional) and the other was Amanda – a girl he met whilst in the states at a snow boarding event and they became inseparable. She called it off and he returned to Australia not hearing a thing from her for two years.
That is until she calls asking him to come to the states. I am not going to lie I had thought it would be something along the lines of him finding out he was a father, and whilst I was correct I was not expecting the heartbreaking reasons for Amanda calling him out the blue.
This is a heartbreaking, emotional and also heartwarming story, being a mum this really got to me, and I did shed a fair few emotional tears.

Beautifully written story with heat!
Wonderful add to Always trilogy! Delightful characters!! Brenna (from Book 1), Amanda, Tanner, Chase (Oooo book 3!!), Parker and Caden!
Warning have your tissues ready…
This touching story will have your emotions all over the place. They met at a snow boarding event and became inseparable until it was time for Amanda to return home. It broke Brendon’s heart. It’s been three years and he receives a message that she was thinking of him. When Brendon boards a plane for the US, he had no idea of what lies ahead or the calamity he was walking into. He finds several surprises that is going to change his life forever and he is going to have to man up but will he also forgive Amanda for her part? You will be so caught up in this story. Lexxie has you feeling every emotion of the main characters as they struggle with coping with the illness of their child and its effect on the family. This is definitely a well written story and I highly recommend it.
