Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasn’t.
After tanking my career—during the World Series, no … tanking my career—during the World Series, no less—the last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but I’d always wanted her, and I’d never forgotten her—the red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. It’s been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, it’s even hotter this time around—and I don’t want it to end.
But just when I think I’m ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.

Romantic and inspirational with a few tears. A beautiful story of love and acceptance. I’m sad to see our Cloverleigh Farm time end.
The Sawyer sisters never disappoint with their hilarious banter and sweet relationship!! I loved how all of the stories came together to compliment this last book. This was such a heart wrenching story at times and April and Tyler have an intense chemistry and a complicated history, I loved seeing the story through each perspective. Melanie Harlow took a sensitive topic and turned it into sweet, sexy and heartwarming story that I loved from beginning to end!
Childhood romances are the ones that tend to stay in the back of your memories. For April – the one that haunts her thoughts is the guy that played the biggest part in her past. Tyler was the all-star athlete that everyone wanted to know. April was the girl that babysat Tyler’s sister and sometimes helped out around the Shaw household. Tyler never looked at April as more than a friend, until the moment that changed both of their lives.
Years later – April still reflects on the decisions of her past. That one night with Tyler before he headed off to the Major Leagues was unforgettable in more ways than one. April is back at Cloverleigh Farms working as an event planner and is planning the wedding of Tyler’s sister Sadie’s wedding. Eighteen years have passed since April and Tyler have laid eyes on one another. The wedding is the first time that the two will find themselves in close proximity.
Tyler is at a place in life where the life that he once planned is no longer on the table. His pro-career is over and Tyler can’t quite find his place in life. April is longing to have the security of family that her sisters are experiencing with their own family’s and children. When Tyler lays eyes on April, he can’t help but think of the moments they once shared.
Time may have passed in the blink of an eye, but the spark between these former lovers is still full of fire. With only the weekend to catch up, Tyler finds himself wanting more of the life that April shows him through a different lens. With an expiration date on their time together, April and Tyler must face the reality of their choices from the past and for the future.
Unforgettable is the latest release from Melanie Harlow in the Cloverleigh Farms series. It is by farm my FAVORITE out of all of the books. April is the second oldest sibling and waiting for her story has been torture. As the last book in this popular series, April’s story will leave your heart full of compassion, trust, and love. All of the emotions that you want when you reflect upon what it means to be ‘home’. This book was the icing on the cake in a series that I hate to see end!!
Unforgettable is April Sawyer’s story. April is the second oldest Sawyer sister and works as a wedding planner. Tyler Shaw was a friend of April’s in high school. He was an amazing baseball pitcher who was drafted to the major league straight out of high school. Tyler’s baseball career doesn’t go as planned and he has turned into a grumpy recluse. But when he gets a call from his sister that he needs to come home for her wedding, he does. His plan is to show up, do what is required, and go back home. He doesn’t consider how seeing his old friend April is going to make him feel. April and Tyler have chemistry. She doesn’t let him scare her away and she treats him the way she always has. This couple has a painful past, but they didn’t let that ruin their chance at love. I loved seeing them together, seeing them fall in love, and. Seeing how they dealt with their past. This was a really sweet second chance at love. I’m so sad to see the Cloverleigh series come to an end. However, I can’t wait to see what Melanie Harlow writes next.
5 Grown-Up Love Stars
* * * * *
There is something to be said when a successful series comes to an end…SUCCESSFULLY. Not all of them do. Melanie Harlow’s Cloverleigh Farms has had an amazing run and to close it off with this story of Tyler and April was perfect.
I am a huge fan of stories that allow the characters to be able to set aside issues in a mature fashion. The first crossing April and Tyler had of friendship to something more happened 18 years ago when both of these characters were young, one on his way to his destiny and her going to college. There were consequences and the deep scarring of what was the result impacted both of them equally but in very different ways.
April, now successful as the wedding and event planner at the farm has finally been able to work out her issues with the help of her therapist. She has made huge progress and is making strides to becoming free of her pain.
Tyler, on the other hand, has not dealt with handling his pain. The pain he experienced for everyone to see…literally on the mound of the World Series. He was THE MAN in baseball at the time and his pitching was in the record books for his fastball and curveball. He was impossible to hit.
And then on network television broadcasted on the world stage, he got the Yips. This is the dreaded term used when a pitcher has no control of the ball…it just doesn’t go where it is aimed and is caused by nothing physical. It is a mental thing. Tyler had it bad and there was nothing he could do. From that day on, after trying everything, his arm was gone and he had to quit baseball.
Quitting baseball and losing his ability like that was like amputating his legs or arms or cutting out his heart and soul. You see, Tyler felt all he was, was baseball, and what he could do with the ball.
He never felt he had any other value and the fans, unfortunately never let him forget it. By living quietly by himself in a big house away from everyone, Tyler thought this was it.
Side Note-Soap Box
This part of the story felt very relatable as I have had to reinvent myself many times over the years. During these very crazy stressful times, a lot of us may be asking ourselves who are we now, if we aren’t our job or career that we have worked on for years. If this has happened recently, then it is ok to grieve and miss what once was…but what is the most important thing is to accept the love from others and know You are More Than What You Do or Have Done. There is no one like you. Rejoice in you. PERIOD.
Ok, I’m Done
But sometimes he had to leave his fortress and when his sweet sassy sister informed him she was getting married, Tyler knew he had to drag himself out of seclusion, come home and be there with a smile on his face. He would submit to all the armchair jocks, hear all of their sure-fire remedies for his throwing issues as politely as he could without slamming them against any walls. That was how much he loved his sis.
What both April and Tyler weren’t prepared for was literally running into each other on the early morning track.
April, being Sadie’s wedding planner knew Tyler was coming back and had played out seeing him, how she would look and what she would say many times. She would look her most professional, be polite, and just the right amount of friendly. Now he was seeing her sweaty, in running shorts with no makeup and hair messy, drooping down out of her ponytail.
For Tyler, he was surprised to see April because he thought she was still in NYC. He was just as sweaty and had been out running but April thought he looked way better than her. If she could have read Tyler’s mind, he was so pleased to see April and thought she was looking just fine, in fact cute.
They talk for a bit, both easy but careful with each other. When April looks at Tyler, she has a lot happening in her head and how he plays in her past. When Tyler looks at April, he thinks of her fondly and is kind of surprised how she plays in his mind.
Now, this is the real start and I was so thrilled with how Ms. Harlow addressed real serious life experiences that happen between people in Everyday Life. She took something very important, had both characters talk it through, and have them work on it together.
And they also worked on the attraction they still had for each other. They had humor together, steam together and we could happily see how well they meshed. Now everything wasn’t without hiccups for the couple…but in the end, it was resolved realistically for me.
Since this was set at the farm, we were able to have interaction with all our favorite couples. We were updated about family growth and loves. This book covered all the bases and felt like a home run to me…
A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
Out of all the Sawyer sisters, April’s story is the one that I wanted the most, and I’m sure it’s partly because she’s the last one standing, so to speak, but I also always saw her as a character who deserved more…who gave everything of herself but didn’t seem to get enough in return. And what I also saw was someone who held back, someone who hid behind her work and her ability to hide her true feelings and the truths she’s never really talked about out loud.
Tyler Shaw seemed like this larger than life all star; there are not many 18 year olds who get drafted right out of high school, especially with a big payday, but with his age also came this untouchable feeling…the idea that he was on top of the world and that nothing could bring him down, and it’s that exact overconfidence that led him astray…that kept all of his focus on baseball, negating every other aspect of his life, which meant that when he lost it, he lost himself and until he recognized what was happening and why things needed to change, nothing would settle for him; he’d keep reaching for something that was now a bit too far out of reach.
Both Tyler and April have been career-driven for quite some time, and now, 18 years later, their lives are not only incomplete but they’re holding back pieces of themselves and truths that need to be revealed so they can not only move forward with their lives, but, hopefully, work toward the things they want and it’s clear that what they definitely haven’t forgotten is each other.
I’m all about second chance romances; they are my absolute favorite kind of stories to read, especially when there’s quite a bit of backstory between the hero and heroine. The connection that April and Tyler shared when they were younger clearly meant everything to them, but Tyler’s future was always going to take him away from his hometown and from April. When Tyler came back to northern Michigan, I don’t think he expected everything to go down the way that it did and the fact that there’s so much more to deal with than he would have thought complicates an already tenuous situation, but it played out as it should have, especially considering the obstacles and truths that he and April had to overcome to get them both to a place where they were ready to move forward together.
Melanie Harlow’s stories ALWAYS deliver, and her Cloverleigh Farms series brings all the feels and then some, and while I’m beyond sadden to say goodbye to these characters and the setting, I know that what Harlow crafts next will be just as extraordinary as these stories were.
4.5 Poison Apples
Each time I finish a Cloverleigh Farms book I think “that particular couple were my favourite”…. but having just finished Unforgettable I’ve realised that each pair is very much a favourite, just for different reasons..
I’ve so been looking forward to April’s book but have been torn, as even with as much as I wanted to know her story, I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the Sawyer sisters, their significant others and Cloverleigh Farms.
I read this fifth and final book in one sitting. Melanie Harlow has this ability to grab your attention, reel you in completely and not let go until you reach THE END.
April & Tyler’s story is one of second chances, love, forgiveness and understanding – both of yourself and those around you – of finding your way when you feel lost and alone, facing fears and the unknown and taking the opportunities and unexpected gifts that are sent your way, especially when you least expect them.
I adored April, such a big heart, always thinking of others and trying to work her way through some issues from her past, she’s a great character.
I loved Tyler, even though some of the things he did made me want to give him a shake, I got his fear, understood his focus and felt heart sorry that he couldn’t see himself the way April and his sister, Sadie, did..
You’re most likely gonna need tissues for this read – definitely if you’re a crier like me – as this story really tugs at the heart strings, but there’s also a lightness, happiness and love as well as a sense of hope and looking forward to new beginnings too. As always, family plays an important part in this story – of both blood and choice – we catch up with the other Sawyer sisters, their parents and meet a few great characters who are new to us.
Yeah I’m sad to see this series end but April and Tyler’s story was a fantastic way to close. I cannot wait to see what Ms Harlow has for us next.
The title fits this book perfectly because April and Tyler are UNFORGETTABLE! Both are haunted by separate events in their lives. Both want to find a way to accept what happened and move on. They had no idea that one person would put everything into perspective, heal two broken people, and bring two souls together.
This is a book about trust, family, tough decisions, and figuring out plan B while grieving what used to be.
This was the perfect book to end this series (as much as I HATE to see it end).
This was one amazing series but this story went above and beyond my expectations. I binged read this 6 star page turner.
Tyler has been running high as a professional baseball player then it all comes crashing down. He’s angry, bitter and grumpy. He returns to his home town for his sister’s wedding but he never thought he’d fall for the sexy wedding planner. They knew each other as friends at 18 but parted ways. April wants the husband, kids and a future but is Tyler ready?
This story took me by surprise. It was an heartfelt storyline that made me feel so much for these amazing characters. It was highly addicting and entertaining. It was full of great surprises that left me speechless. It was a beautifully written story with a perfect plot. Everything about the entire story was perfect. Bottomline this is a must read.
Although this story is part of a series, I can safely say it could be read as a standalone. But of course the other stories are worth it too. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
Miss Harlow saved the best for last! this book was Unforgettable, I was crying one minute, laughing the other and then fanning myself because of the sexy times! It was a powerful story about letting go of the past and moving forward, owning up to your mistakes and not letting fear and failure dictate your life. I’m sad to see the series come to an end, but I can’t wait to see what comes next from this incredible author.

I have read all of Melanie Harlow’s books and loved each one … very much.
But this story moved me, what a beautiful love story, a story of best friends in high school, with a past of love from friends and care that lost contact, but that now more than eighteen years without seeing each other… fate brings them closer together again, in a moment that both needed.
This book closes the series that tells the story of the Sawyer sisters, and April, who deals with so many love stories and sees the sisters falling in love needed a beautiful and exciting love story and this is where Tyler comes in … and everything they have lived before and are living at this point in their lives they go back in time and back to being who they truly are.
Perfect! Touching! Another great book by Melanie Harlow. I spent the night with this couple … With this family and this beautiful city.
Unforgettable is finally here! I absolutely loved Tyler and April! Their story has all the feels! It’s funny, it’s sweet, it’s so very hot, and had some very deep moments too … a small town, second chance romance with a sexy sports hero… what more could you ask for?!This is the fifth and final book !
I’ve read every book in this series and loved them all! Each can be read as a standalone but I recommend them all!! In the last book, We got a little foreword on what to expect on April’s story…
I couldn’t wait to dig into April’s past!! Which leads us back to Tyler which she hasn’t seen in 18 years!! He’s back in town to give his sister away at her wedding which April happens to be coordinating. And once they reunite the sparks fly!! Even hotter the 2nd time around! Until one thing happens and send Tyler back to being a recluse!
Tyler’s everything you’d want in a book boyfriend- he’s cocky, sexy and a little broken! I loved how when he reunited with April he felt like his old self again! This was such a great story and I absolutely loved the way it all ended!! Sad to see this series end!! I can’t wait to see what Melanie comes out with next!
This book was packed full of emotions. My heart broke for April and the extremely tough decision she had to make and follow through with on her own. I couldn’t imagine being in her shoes but she truly did what was best for her baby and was selfless so that she could give him the life that he deserved. But she has carried this around with her for 18 years. She hasn’t truly been able to live her life because of this unbearable weight. She finally decides to open up to her sisters. She also decides she wants to reach out and see about meeting her son. This way she will know if she made the right choice. She also wants to see Tyler again. When they run into each other, the sparks are definitely still there. At least she knows they are for her.
Tyler is dealing with the end of his baseball career. Something he didn’t think he would ever have to go through. He has no idea who he is without baseball. When he sees April again, he remembers all the times she was around 18 years ago. When they start spending time together, he begins to feel settled. But she wants things he has no desire for. Marriage, a family, and to meet their son. He will support her decision on the latter but the others are an absolute no for him.
This two were so perfect together and I hated that Tyler was so against certain things. But as time goes on and they continue to spend more and more time together, slowly his heart and mind begin to change and he doesn’t even realize it. I loved how he was finally able to find his path after leaving the big leagues.
This was such a beautiful book and there were a couple of times I got a bit teary eyed. This might be my favorite of the series.
The only thing that ever mattered to Tyler was baseball. As a MLB pitcher being drafted right out of HS, he was on the fast track to stardom. But when his skills fall away during the World Series, Tyler walks away from his dream. Coming back home for the wedding of his sister he is reunited with April Sawyer, the one girl who held his secret. Will he be able to find something that can fill his heart like baseball did? Or will the secret be the one thing that will cause him to walk away from his home town forever? Highly emotional and devastatingly beautiful, Melanie Harlow once again creates characters that the reader cannot help but fall in love with. We have watched the Sawyer sisters find their soulmates and I can honestly say with April and Tyler’s story that she has saved the best for last. I am sorry to see this series end but what a wonderful journey it was.
Unforgettable is the book I never know I needed! The fifth book in The Cloverleigh Farm Series by Melanie Harlow, Unforgettable reminded me of my first crush. April and Tyler are my new favorite couple.
April Sawyer is the wedding event planner at Cloverleigh Farm, she’s got everything that she’s ever wanted except, unlike her sisters she hasn’t found her soulmate. She wants to find someone to settle down with but she feels like a secret from her past is holding her back. She’s worked so hard to understand her feelings and get to a place where she has excepted her past and is ready to move forward, when Tyler Shaw comes back into town after eighteen years. They share a past and a secret that has shaped both of their lives.
There is so much emotion in this book. I found my heartbreaking for both of these characters but, in the most heartwarming way. They found her way to their happy ever after together and I just really enjoy it!
Wow a great ending to thr Sawyer sisters and Cloverleigh Farms. I loved this series from book 1. April and Tyler’s story pulled at my heart strings. Their story was emotional, hot, sexy, funny. That BONUS EPILOGUE!! One of my favorite quotes from the book
Through the highs and lows, the wins and the losses. It’s about the people who love and support you through anything because of who you are, not what you do. It’s about family.
I don’t quite know how to put my emotions into words after finishing the last book in the Cloverleigh Farms series by Melanie Harlow, Unforgettable! I’m feeling a little sad (that it’s over), complete because the last Sawyer sister has found her HEA (tough as it was), still a little annoyed with Tyler (there were MULTIPLE times while reading this book I wanted to smack some sense into him) but I eventually succumbed and fell in love with him too, complete and total admiration for April at just how strong, sweet, sensitive and sassy (ALL the S’s!) she truly is and OMG I’m missing these characters so, sooooooo much!
From the first page to the last, this book engulfed me in ALL the feels! The chemistry between April and Tyler is OFF-THE-CHARTS and I simply couldn’t get enough!!! It’s THE most angsty and heart-wrenching of the series for reasons I can’t get into (spoilers) but WOW!!! The way April and Tyler overcame the issues they were dealing with from the past and how everything was resolved make this book my FAVE in the series….and WHAT a way to end a series that I’ve so enjoyed! The rollercoaster ride to the end is EPIC and Ms. Harlow has finished this series PERFECTLY!
If you’re looking for a story that ticks ALL the boxes that second-chance romances SHOULD tick then THIS is the story for YOU! I do recommend reading this series in order so that you get all the background into the Sawyer sisters, but you don’t HAVE to in order to enjoy this AWEMAZING book! Once again, Ms. Harlow has hit a home run right outa the park with this TRULY Unforgettable read!!!
Such a lovely story for these two. I enjoyed how it unfolded. The characters have depth and chemistry, which was highlighted in the dialogue.
Loved revisiting the other sisters throughout and seeing what they were doing and what they had to say to April in her book.
This is one of the sweetest books that I have read in a long time. I fell in love with the Cloverleigh Farm back in book #1 and it gets better with each book. Each sister gets a book so no need to read these in order if you didn’t want to. They all can be read as standalone. Unforgettable is definitely a book hard to forget. It is full of past history, connection, chemistry, and feeling. Tyler Shaw is definitely a flawed character that even I found hard to take sometimes but his alpha traits and chemistry with April saved him. Not to mention that he was hot as all get out. April was a strong character that I found myself leaning towards and enjoyed their story together. Melanie Harlow finished the Cloverleigh Farm series with a bang. I loved it.

What a great story to end this amazing series on, Ms Harlow certainly saved the best for last!!!
April Sawyers story was everything I wanted and more, it’s a friends to lovers romance that touched me on so many levels, the chemistry is sizzling and the banter is witty but more importantly it fits so well into one of favourite series of all time, it’s the perfect story to end this series on.
I was captivated by April and Tyler’s journey, there was no putting down until I had read the final line, the family as always play a big part in this book but to honest I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I love my visits to Cloverleigh Farm and yes I’m sad to see this series come to an end but it’s a series I will read or listen to over and over because I love everything about this group of family and friends, I love the loyalty and the love they share, I love the characters but I really love that this author always gives us a beautifully written romance with the perfect mix of humour.
