Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasn’t.
After tanking my career—during the World Series, no … tanking my career—during the World Series, no less—the last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but I’d always wanted her, and I’d never forgotten her—the red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. It’s been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, it’s even hotter this time around—and I don’t want it to end.
But just when I think I’m ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.

Book five of the Cloverleigh series and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I’ve been looking forward to April’s story since the first book, Irresistible. I laughed at the Sawyer sisters and their antics. Loved, loved, loved Fran and Mac’s wedding and updates on each sister. I cried at what April endured and sacrificed in her younger years. The impact of those choices haunted her for years to come.
April Sawyer loves her family and the life she’s built at her family’s farm. But something is missing. At first she thought a vacation was needed. A break from all the demanding brides and pushy clients she plans events at Cloverleigh farms, but the vacation left her melancholy. She begins therapy without telling anyone in her family, something that just not done in her close-knit family. The one person she thought she would never see again walks back into her life. Tyler Shaw.
Tyler doesn’t know which is worse: returning home after his fall from grace or his sister forcing him out of seclusion for her wedding? No, it’s seeing the only woman he truly loved–April Sawyer. He lusted after her all through high school. She always took care of him and his sister. He never made a move until his last night home. Right before he left to start his baseball career. His career crashed around him during the World Series. He never recovered. He finds a life he never knew he wanted. A life after baseball.
Can their future survive the skeletons of their past?
Have you ever laid on a blanket in a country field on a warm, clear summer night looking up at the sparkling sky? All those stars brilliantly twinkling and shining like diamonds? This book deserves every one of those stars.
The title say it all! I’ve loved every story in this series, but April and Tyler are, hands down, my favorite. There’s just something about a broken hero who thinks he has no capacity for love or happiness, and the heroine who helps him find the soft, squishy heart he’s had all along. Ahhh, they’ve completely absconded with my heart, and Tyler and April truly are unforgettable!
April is the last of the Sawyer girls to find her special someone, but that’s not a big surprise. She’s been too busy with her event planning business, and hiding the deepest of secrets for nearly two decades, to even look for Mr. Right. Just as she’s trying to get closure on her past by fulling trusting those closest to her, Tyler Shaw comes back to town. Things just got a lot more complicated.
Tyler would rather hide out in his mountain cabin than return to the town where he grew up, but he’s promised to walk his sister down the aisle at her wedding. Not long ago, he had it all — professional baseball career, fame and fortune — until he lost his pitching mojo during a World Series game. Now everyone has opinions and criticism on his failed career, and they’re not shy about sharing.
I couldn’t ask for these characters to have been more perfectly crafted! They’re authentic and complex, messy and vulnerable yet strong and determined, and so darn relatable I felt every emotion of their journey alongside them. I adore everything about these two! Tyler broke my heart and then made me want to give him a swift kick or two, and when he finally pulls himself up by the boot straps and gets himself together, it’s as spectacular as it is awe inspiring. And April is one of those females we all aspire to be, her kindness, compassion and generosity allowing her to see beyond Tyler’s façade and deep to the heart of him, and making me want to celebrate her through every step of her journey!
If there is a formula for penning a exceptional novel, this gifted writer has not only mastered it but improved on it. I was captivated from the very first page, devouring every word and reading straight through in one sitting because it is absolutely, undeniably impossible to put down! Bleary eyed, I read into the wee hours of the morning, thrilled with the hours spent with these amazing characters but devastated to reach the end.
Cloverleigh Farms easily goes to the top of my list of best series ever. It’s like the end of an era, reading this final book, but I’ll gladly return to these characters and their stories, once again submerging myself in the emotional ebb and flow of this glorious book world. April and Tyler’s story is the consummate cherry on top of this exquisite treat, one you’ll want to immerse yourself in and stay in forever. Run to the 1-Click and start reading today! These characters will steal your heart and burrow deep into your soul, and you’ll love every second of their poignant, inspiring, remarkable story!
Small town second chance romances are my kryptonite. I just love them and I love the way Melanie writes. You’re going to love this book!
The final installment in the Cloverleigh Farms series by Melanie Harlow.
This book is not to be missed! Gorgeous writing from the first page to the last. Highly recommended!
This has been my fave of the series! I love all the Sawyer sisters, but April and Tyler’s story was so heartfelt and such a journey for them. They have such great banter and chemistry. I love that both of them have to work through some heavy stuff (let’s keep normalizing therapy and other ways to promote mental health!!) to become their best selves and rediscover their paths, both apart and together. This story was sweet, and even though it addressed some hard things in their lives, still a fun read! This was such a perfect wrap up to the Cloverleigh series.
The final story of the Cloverleigh Farms series. April is the second oldest Sawyer sister and her past comes back to town, Tyler Shaw, retired MLB star. Tyler has returned to town for his sister’s wedding which April helped coordinate. Their reunion is destined and their chemistry is off the charts, but will their past decisions impact their future. Their past decision creates a rift between them, but can they be more understanding and move on together? This whole series was fantastic, each story about each of the Sawyer sisters. Congrats Melanie on another terrific series!!
So I can’t express how much I loved this story. I read it within a day, I couldn’t put it down. I’ve read many romance books but never where a baby is put up for adoption. It is unlike any romance book I’ve read and it’s just amazing! I cried, I laughed, I got mad; a crazy roller coaster ride of a variety of emotions! This series is one of my top favorites of all time I think. April and Tyler’s love story is beautiful.
I absolutely loved their heartwarming story. I loved the bond, the banter, the chemistry and heartfelt feelings all the characters bring to this series. I loved the series and definitely recommended.
I loved every book in this series. Tyler’s life was baseball. When he couldn’t do it anymore, he felt his life was over. So he basically locked himself away in a cabin. When he comes back to town for his sisters wedding, he sees her….April. They had an amazing connection when they were younger. It was so nice to see them reconnect and help each other. I’m sad this is the end, but it was a beautiful series and I loved all of the characters. I highly recommend reading the entire series!
I want to start with that beautiful cover. Stunning! Just like this fabulous Cloverleigh romance featuring daughter, April. The successful event planner is home again and loving it after leaving big city life behind. Second oldest and a powerhouse of poise and perfectionism as the sister that runs the event venue at the Farm. Planning a wedding for family friend puts her face to face with an old crush. The hunky baseball pitcher, Tyler. Poor Tyler suffered the worst fate a pitcher could endure. The career ending yips. He’s hounded by social media, the press and even fans. Tyler’s been hiding out for a year but hopes going home for his sister’s wedding will be a non-event in his small hometown. April and Tyler reconnect and it’s like old times. They’ve always had an easy friendship and a long ago one-night stand. Their chemistry is still there and hotter than ever. These two are so sexy and sweet as their relationship develops. But the two share a secret that April is ready to face after 18 years. Tyler not so much. The plot twist was sort of obvious but still so emotional and intense. I loved April and Tyler and their fabulous romance with the wonderful ending. This is an outstanding series and the sisters are just fantastic with their partners, kiddos and life at Cloverleigh. The setting is wonderful and another character in the stories. I can’t believe it’s over! I’m shedding a few tears as it comes to an end. A perfect ending to this spectacular series with April’s HEA and new additions to the family. Maybe we’ll get a new gen at Cloverleigh! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Unforgettable is a great second chance love story. I’m kind of sad to see the end of this series, the Saywer sisters have a special place in my heart. April is the last sister to fall, and Tyler was the one who walked away. I liked the story for the most part, however at times I felt it was a little rushed. I loved this family dynamics, they made me smile and laugh, and the small town feel. I was happy April and Tyler got to reconnect with eachother, and right some wrongs, to get their happily ever after.
This is a bittersweet moment for me. I fell in love hard with the Sawyer sisters and this is the final story, April’s story, and what a finale it is.
Now, this whole series can be read as a stand-alone, and I can tell you that it’s true. However, I have read all the books in this series so I am going to gush on about this story.
Now April, she is the second oldest, she had the biggest secret that we got hints about in the previous books, but now it all comes to light. What a brave thing she did! What a selfless act. April has such a giving heart, and a beautiful soul, and all she wants is to work through her past guilt and move towards a future with a family.
Tyler, oh how I wanted to be mad at him at first. To be so focused on one thing, that it almost takes away his humanity. When he comes back home, he was gone the same amount of time that he lived there (a long time) and sees April again, well the friendship and the chemistry are burning bright as ever.
Ms. Harlow takes the reader into the world of Cloverleigh Farm, into the fantastic Sawyer family and the people they love. This story also has a twist that is going to make you gasp. (I did!)
What a fantastic final story and a phenomenal series!
4.5-stars
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow was a sweet and charming second chance romance with all kinds of feels. Tyler thought he had it all, until he didn’t. As a first round pick and a signing bonus, there was nowhere but up to go. Then he screwed up and never returned to the game he loved. He retreated from life, until his sister’s wedding and saw April Sawyer again. April is a wedding planner and is helping Tyler’s sister have the wedding of her dreams. Then she comes face-to-face with Tyler.
Tyler and April were friends throughout high school, but the night before he leaves for his new future, he shares a special night with April. Years later the attraction was still there, but there was so much history between them. Tyler is afraid to let himself live again, but April is so damn irresistible. April was sweet and caring and wanted to find what her sisters had. But could two people with so much baggage and history find their way back to each other?
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow was such a delightful second chance romance. It was sweet, emotional and a bit angsty. I loved Tyler and April and seeing so many characters we have come to love. Such a great read!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
A heart breaking second chance at getting your soulmate. The writing was perfect. I had tears, laughter and anger all mixed together. The characters are so incredible. They have great depth and amazing personalities. My heart hurt while reading this book. Sometimes love can break us in ways we never heal from. This book takes you on an emotional journey of fighting for the love you were always meant to have. This series has tied together so beautifully and I’m sad to see it come to an end but I know Melanie will have so many more incredible books in the future and I can’t wait to read them.
There’s something about the Cloverleigh Farms series that leaves a big big smile on your face and the final book in the series, Unforgettable, leaves you in no doubt that you will miss April Sawyer and her family. From the first to the last page, with a few frowns in between, you’re left feeling more than a little content as you watch the romance reignite between these two. April and Tyler have history. For different reasons both are trying to deal with matters of the heart. For April it’s something from her past and for Tyler, it’s his current situation and all drama that goes along with it. These two are fantastic together, their chemistry is off the charts. Why they didn’t get back together years ago I don’t know but I’m so glad they did. It’s beautifully written and each and every character is loveable. This has everything you expect and want from a Melanie Harlow romance. Sad to see the series end but so happy that I read it.
I can’t get enough of this new series by Samantha! 5 road trippin stars for this one!
Meet Chelsea, the friend who’s always the designated driver and the voice of reason. It’s not that she doesn’t like her best friends new fiance’, it’s that she feels sorry for him because her bff will chew him up in the long run. Yet every Friday night, she’s hanging out with him, her bff and other friends. She always ends up next to Drew, who she’s sure doesn’t like her. When she finds out her friend took off, to get married, she’s ready to go and stop the wedding, and Drew offers to help her with this.
Will these two survive with their differences, or will they see they actually have a lot in common?
I loved this story, my review really doesn’t do it justice, but I hate to spoil a story! Grab this asap!
Unforgettable is the fifth book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. This story is about April Sawyer and Tyler Shaw. April is the second Sawyer sister of five. She is also a wedding planner at Cloverleigh Farms. It just so happens that she is planning Tyler’s little sister Sadie’s wedding. Tyler is a newly retired MLB player, who retired after unexpectedly having trouble pitching. After 18 years this couple is finally getting their second chance.
I loved all the feels and emotional ups and downs that had me hooked from the start. The chemistry between these two was amazing. I absolutely loved reading about all of the Sawyer sisters.
Great small town romance! I really enjoyed Tyler and April’s story! Such a fun read! I have loved every couple in the Cloverleigh Farm series! They all have something special about them!
Unforgettable is the fifth and final book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. I really liked it. It was a great second chance read. I really loved April Sawyer! Tyler was frustrating at times but I did love him. They had great chemistry and were just perfect together! I love the Sawyer family and sad that this is it!
A fantastic ending to a great series. April is the event planner for Cloverleigh Farm and is the last of the available Sawyer sisters. She is working on dealing with her choices in life and trying to move her life forward. Tyler is a former MBL baseball player who has come home for his sister’s wedding that April is planning. They were close in high school and share a secret, but haven’t seen each other in 18 years. This is a great second chance romance in addition to working on accepting you past and moving on to have a happy future. This is another great book in this series and am sad that this was the last book.
