Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasn’t.
After tanking my career—during the World Series, no … tanking my career—during the World Series, no less—the last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but I’d always wanted her, and I’d never forgotten her—the red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. It’s been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, it’s even hotter this time around—and I don’t want it to end.
But just when I think I’m ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.

Tyler knew how his life was supposed to go. Amazing career and life full of dreams. Then his world crashed. His cockiness and arrogance gone. The swagger he had was gone. Now he must face his hometown for his sister’s wedding. A failure and a letdown, how can his home forgive him?
April is ready for her happily ever after and when she runs into the one man, she gave herself to all those years ago, but she knows the brother of her latest client is only in town for a few days.
These two have a past but it is so much fun to watch them reconnect in their present. Their story has so much to it that I was not able to put this book down. Loved, loved, loved this series!
I absolutely love the Cloverleigh Farms series and I’m so sorry for it to end. I love the characters, the sisters, the whole family and I for sure will miss them a lot. This was a great end of a great series. I found it very emotional and surprising! This is a very cute small-town second-chance romance.
April and Tyler had been friends in high school until one night changed everything. They both went on with their lives before meeting again at home. Both successful in their own way and both running away from demons. I loved watching them find the way towards each other again!
Five stars!
Don’t think I could love the sister of Cloverleigh farms anymore than I do! Melanie Harlow only adds to how much I love her books with UNFORGETTABLE!
I couldn’t wait for April’s story. Boy did the author bring out all my emotions too. This book and April’s experiences are anything but forgettable…
She was just an 18 year old girl who made adult decisions…she grows into a successful woman with so many questions.
Tyler coming back into April’s life adds so much depth, questions and fun.
Will history repeat itself? Can past decisions come back to haunt them?
Losing his beloved career, Tyler was unpredictable and definitely grieving. Will April bring him back to his fullest life? Give fun new meaning?
I loved this friends to lovers, second chance romance! This series is one of my absolute favorites!
An absolutely beautiful and outstanding story. The way this author writes is very telling of her talent, and you can easily see she throws her whole heart into a story. She consistently creates lovable characters that will stay with me for a very long time. Tyler and April’s story is full of hope, passion, love, loyalty, and some heartbreak. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Cloverleigh family throughout this story. The love they have for each other and for their “new family” is truly heart warming.
Unforgettable was a perfect ending to an amazing series. I have loved reading about all the Sawyer sisters finding their happy endings. I’ve loved revisiting Cloverleigh Farms with each new book. But I have especially loved the bonds of family and happiness I’ve felt while reading and after finishing these books.
April’s story was very emotional and tugs at the heartstrings. It featured a very important and meaningful topic and I loved the way it was handled. There were so many thoughts and feelings depending on whose perspective you were looking at it through. I was just so impressed even in those less comfortable moments. All the characters in this story are well fleshed out and likable in their own ways.
As usual I finished this book with a smile on my face and with another example of why I love this author. It’s definitely a must read.
I loved this final installment of the Cloverleigh series. I was turning pages as fast as I could as April and Tyler both fought to overcome their pasts so they could have a shot at a second chance together. This book made me have all the feels. I am sad to see this series end.
I have loved every one of the Sawyer girls and their journey to find love, knowing this was the last book made me a little sad, but after reading it? Out of every book in this series, I think Tyler and April’s story is my favorite. I didn’t know how much I needed April’s story, but I did.
There was something about their story that hooked me. We finally saw snippets of April’s story in Unbreakable, but I wasn’t prepared for how amazing the journey of getting the full story was going to be. Seeing these two heal together was perfect. Their chemistry was off the charts and eighteen years in the making. Their story will hook you from page one and you won’t be able to put it down.
Sigh. This is such a beautiful ending to the Cloverleigh Series. April and Tyler’s story is unforgettable. Tyler is battling his fears of what he has to offer in life now that his baseball caster has come to an abrupt and bitter end. April is learning to move forward and bring closure to giving up her baby for adoption eighteen years earlier. Together, Tyler and April help each other heal as they reconnect and rediscover a love that was always there since their childhood. They compliment each other and light up parts of their lives they thought they both had lost. It was one of those stories that I couldn’t wait to get to the end because I wanted them to reach their happily ever after, but i I also didn’t want to finish because it would be over.
Finally a book in the cloverliegh series that drew me in! By far my favourite book in this series! I love the Sawyer sisters but April has my heart.
A second chance romance with a baseball hottie mixed in, thank You Melanie!!
April and Tyler have been through hell and back both in their own ways, both struggling to make it back to normal.
18 years is a lot of time for struggle, for people to grow and mature and for people to realize what they lost is what they need in their life.
The end of a series is always bittersweet. On the one hand, the series is over; the characters, the setting, the story has ended. But I am always impartial to the end of a series. Mostly because it’s usually about the character that I’ve been waiting for and really want to read their story. I love Melanie Harlow because she writes the super swoony, sweet, sexy stories that make me forget everything around me. Reading is my escape and Melanie is a contributor to my happiness. Cloverleigh Farms brought a little bit of everything for everyone, and built up April’s story. The thing that really won me over with April as a person was how determined she was to be happy on her own. She had made choices in her life that she was coming to terms with, and those choices tied her to Tyler, a friend who she shared one night with before he went off to pay professional baseball and she went to college. Eighteen years later, Tyler finds himself back home, and is pleasantly surprised to find April there, too. They reconnect and April learns that Tyler has lost his ability to pitch. His career is over and he is nursing his ego. In the short time he is home, April and Tyler begin to have feelings that weren’t there before. April, not even close to willing to let Tyler feel sorry for himself, makes it perfectly clear how she feels about him and what she wants in life. Tyler isn’t quite there yet. While they take the time to discover things about each other, they discover something that changes their lives forever. Unforgettable was a wonderful story of love, loss, and dealing with life when it just doesn’t go your way. It’s a story of picking yourself back up, dusting it off, and moving on to be a better person.
After reading about all the other Sawyer sisters, I was so happy to finally find out more about April. We have received bits and pieces about her through out the other books and I could tell she was going to have a heartbreaking story. Melanie definitely did not disappoint on that. April has survived a great heartbreak, but she hasn’t let herself move on. Tyler is going through his own crisis and doesn’t see a way out of it. It was great to see April grow and be so strong. Tyler needed time to get through his issues, but I really felt for the guy. It was also great to read about all the Sawyers again and see how they are loving their lives. While this is not my favorite Cloverleigh Farms book, I definitely enjoyed myself while reading it. If you are looking for a heartfelt, sweet, and sexy book – pick this one up!
Melanie Harlow hit this one out of the park. What a great read and a bittersweet ending to one of my favorite series by Ms. Harlow. This book will give you all the feels that a reader expects from this author and wanting more in this Cloverleigh Farms series, thus the bittersweet ending mentioned above.
4 stars for – Unforgettable – book five in the Cloverleigh Farms series by Melanie Harlow. I can’t believe this amazing series has come to a close but whether you start with this one or the first in the series I know you will fall in love with all the Sawyer sisters like I did. Melanie outdid herself with this last book and truly gave the Sawyer family a beautiful send off everyone will love.
April Sawyer is the wedding planner for Cloverleigh and the second oldest of the Sawyer clan. She has faced hardships and came out stronger for them in the end. Not realizing the one person who put her to the test so many years ago would be walking back through Cloverleigh’s doors sooner rather than later.
Tyler Shaw was a very successful pitcher in the major leagues until an injury ended his career. He is back home for his sister’s wedding when he reconnects with April and their friendship snaps right back into place. They were always able to connect on a different level than anyone else and the connection is still there but something has changed
I loved the slow burn romance and reconnection between April and Tyler. Especially when you coupled it with the forgiveness, understanding and love it is what brought these two through in the end. No one writes the wounded hero for you to fall in love with better than Melanie. I can’t wait for her to create another world for us to fall in love all over again.
What a way to end the series! Tyler and April’s story gives you all the feels. These two shared a secret in the past that has haunted April. She is starting to close that chapter in her life just when Tyler comes back to town. The chemistry these two had in the past returns with a vengeance and they can’t stay away from each other.
This was an emotional end to the series. I did get frustrated with Tyler at times, but truly loved these two. Great read!

Every time I read one of Melanie’s stories it immediately feels like coming home. Her prose is warm and inviting, allowing you to fall into her words with ease. This is the final installment in her Cloverleigh Farms Series and I am sad to see them go. I have loved these books and these sisters since the very first one and it hasn’t diminished one iota as the stories have progressed. This family is everything a family should be, they are warm and caring with a fierce loyalty that keeps them close and so well loved.
, ’ — ’ . .
I’ve been waiting for Aprils book and I knew that it was going to gut me before I even opened the book. April story is different from her sisters and has a sadness to it that will break your heart. But what I loved the most was watching as April came to terms with her past and was making an effort to really live in the present. I couldn’t imagine going through what she did, but it takes a certain kind of strength to do what in your heart you know is right. April has always had this strength of character and of mind that you could see, but in this story you get to witness it first hand.
, , .
Tyler is everything that I love in my hero’s; he’s a grumpy, alpha with a dirty mouth but a sweet side that he only brings out for his woman. And April without a doubt brought this man straight to his knees. You could feel the connection between them from the moment they meet again, it’s there in spades as if it has its own presence wrapping them up in it. Their connection was one that was built on what happened in their past together, for that it felt different stronger maybe or more present. But it was there every single time they were together. That connection warms your heart and at times makes your heart ache and tears come to your eyes. What they went through and what they overcome is unlike any other story in this series.
“ ’ , ’ .”
Melanie has crafted a beautifully poignant story that is filled with so many different emotions laced with burning sexual chemistry. This story will simultaneously fill your heart with joy and sadness. These characters and their journey is so important and so intense that you can’t help but fall in love with them. These are the types of characters that live with you long after you’ve finished the book. This is without a doubt another hit within this MUST READ series!!!
~~ 4.5 UNFORGETTABLE STARS! ~~
“Every happily ever after has to start somewhere…”
Melanie Harlow hit a home run with UNFORGETTABLE, the fifth and final book in her Cloverleigh Farms series. I have loved each and every book in the Sawyer sisters’ saga, and this second chance sports romance sure concludes the series with a bang!
PREMISE:
April, the second eldest of the Sawyer sisters, has always sacrificed everything for her loved ones. But even so, there’s been an aching void in her life that up till now has been unfulfilled. Now that her sisters are all happily coupled, the vivacious event planner can’t help but dream of marriage and family of her own one day. But she has deep seated emotional baggage from her past that she has to resolve first. Then fate intervenes when she crosses paths with Tyler Shaw, the drop dead gorgeous former baller whom she hasn’t laid eyes on since they both graduated high school. Sparks immediately fly between the reunited duo. But Tyler has demons of his own to combat before they can even get off first base!
Tyler, a former high school baseball star, had a mega bright future headed of him. Aptly nicknamed “The Rifle,” for his wicked fast pitching prowess, he was the first round draft pick and catapulted to fame as a MLB pitcher, only to have his star-studded career crash and burn at the World Series. Baseball was his LIFE and when all that ended, it shattered not only his dreams but his sense of self-worth as well. After his humiliating public fall from Grace, he retreated to a secluded cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains to avoid a media maelstrom.
He’s since morphed into a bitter and angry shell of his former self, wallowing in a world of pain and regret, but the grouchy recluse is forced out of hibernation when his sister, Sadie, summons him home to Michigan for her wedding. And it’s there, in his former stomping ground, where he comes face to face with April Sawyer again. He’d always been secretly attracted to this gorgeous girl with the “red hair and dimples” and they had one UNFORGETTABLE moment together before they went their separate ways…
Now as these two high school chums reconnect, April brightens the dark corners of his solitary world. But there’s some unfinished business between them and as they seek much needed closure, their pent-up passion explodes into a fiery inferno! Can these two friends turned lovers put their past ghosts to rest and spend the second act of their lives…. together?
MY MUSINGS:
UNFORGETTABLE made my heart sigh with pure and utter joy! Packed to the gills with sweetness, feels galore, and smoldering hot sexcapades, this swoony tale exemplifies the reason I love romance—and this author—so darn much! The chemistry between this gorgeously grumpy former superstar ballplayer, and the beautiful small-town sweetheart that he never stop coveting, was beyond enchanting! The author explores themes of love, hope, healing, family, forgiveness, the power of second chances, and reimaging a future even if it’s not quite what you originally envisioned. I felt the full gamut of emotions throughout and while this is not a super heavy read, it was tinged with bittersweet poignancy…and I admittedly found myself reaching for the tissues more than once!
I was captivated by this couple from the very first moment they laid eyes on each other again. Tyler and April’s brilliantly crafted love story was brimming with breathtaking romance, palpable push-pull and oodles of heart-tugging emotion to keep our pulses racing and our hearts skipping a beat. I not only adored the scorching hot passion, flirty sparks and delightfully witty banter, but the searing emotional depth to their storyline packed a definite punch! While Tyler and April always had a special connection—and shared a painful, life altering link to one another’s pasts —they never got to explore their true feelings because their life took them in separate directions . But now as they reunite for his sister’s wedding at Cloverleigh Farms, in which April is the event planner, they finally get a shot to do just that. And as it turns out, the youthful attraction they once felt rages into a blazing inferno that consumes them both, HEART, BODY AND SOUL!
As far as BBFs go, Tyler was the total package! This hunkilicious lone wolf is MY kind of alpha–a moody, broody, tortured soul, yet at the same time cocky and charismatic with an irresistibly sexy swagger and a heart as bit as Wrigley Field!. You really can’t help but fall head over heels for Tyler in all his perfectly imperfect, beautifully broken glory. Gah! At times his self-loathing over his past “failures” slayed me, yet at other times I wanted to shake some sense into the big grump for being so bullheaded ! Turns out, he never got over his childhood dreams going up in smoke and has yet to come up with a Plan B for his life. But April might be the one to give him the swift kick in the pants he desperately needs to jumpstart his career…and his heart! She’s sweet, spirited, funny and radiates pure beauty and light. And is exactly what Tyler requires to help get him out of his rut. But she harbors deeply embedded scars of her own, and has always put other people’s feelings first, often at the expense of her own happiness. Yet despite everything, she proves to be a woman of true courage and resilience.
These two prove that second chances are indeed possible, but tumult and turmoil threatens to keep this dynamic duo from reaching home plate. Can Tyler accept that there IS life after the Major Leagues and stop running FROM his feelings… and TOWARD a future with the girl who was his heart, his home…his EVERYTHING? And can April reconcile the decisions of her past, and finally forgive herself, in order to embrace a new beginning? Gotta read to find out but prepare for some SIZZLING fireworks, lots of highs and lows…wins and losses. And eeek brace yourself for a MAJOR CURVEBALL before the epic HEA!
BOTTOM LINE:
UNFORGETTABLE was the PITCH perfect ending to the Cloverleigh Farms series. It made me laugh and cry and feel so dang much! I am super sad to bid adieu to the Sawyer family but can’t wait to see what his remarkable author has in store for us next!
Alice and Tyler were friends in high school. The night he left to go to the draft they had sex. Tyler’s baseball career is over and he has to go home cause his sister is getting married. Tyler and Alice meet up again and the friendship is still there plus an attraction that can’t be denied. Alice and Tyler both have issues they are working through and are helping each other. Can they get passed the issues and be together? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. Excellent book with a perfect ending to the series. Love it
Romance perfection as only Melanie Harlow can give us!
Beautiful and an amazing story written by Melanie Harlow. Tyler and April best friends that had an unforgettable experience eighteen years ago. April needed closure with her past and. Tyler a baseball player that finish playing before time permitted. Coming home to his sister wedding and reconnecting with April like no other. Amazing HEA.
Finally Melanie Harlowe has given us April’s story and wow it is so much more than I expected. Throughout the previous books she has teased us with April and learning snippets of her past shows us how far she has come is no surprise to what a fighter she is. In a way have to say Tyler was not my favorite in the beginning but seeing what he has lost really made me see that maybe he can change. Baseball was his everything and having April is in a way like the sport. Fast, hot and an adventure all the way he never knows what April is thinking or will do. The younger version of them didn’t know love and Melanie Harlowe showing the adult version what they can possibly have is sweet in a way. We see them learning from each other and letting go of the past is something they are somewhat ready to let go. Melanie Harlow really outdid April’ story and seeing the whole family, how far they have some is beautiful coming full circle to Cloverleigh Farms love this place.
