Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasn’t.
After tanking my career—during the World Series, no … tanking my career—during the World Series, no less—the last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but I’d always wanted her, and I’d never forgotten her—the red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. It’s been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, it’s even hotter this time around—and I don’t want it to end.
But just when I think I’m ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.

This was such a great read! April is the last Sawyer sister to get her book. Unforgettable was a second chance romance mixed with a friends-to-lovers theme. April and Tyler reconnect after so many years apart. The connection between the two was deep and I liked how they got back to their friendship quickly. They were good together. Their banter and interactions were sweet, fun, and hot. And of course the family atmosphere on both sides was excellent. There were many layers to this story. I liked uncovering them as I read and delved more into April and Tyler. I was so engaged into how it would turn out. This was a heartfelt story filled with emotions, charm, and sizzle. Melanie is amazing on writing magnificent second chance/friends-to-lovers romances. But no matter the trope her writing is awesome. I can’t wait to see what she has next up in her sleeve!
I won’t be forgetting the Sawyer sisters and their men anytime soon, that is for sure! Every time a Melanie Harlow series comes to an end I feel a little sad- it’s like saying good-bye to your closest friends. You know there’s a good chance you’ll see them again, (there’s always a reread!), but for now you close the book and do your best to move on.
April and Tyler’s story was a wonderful friends-to-lovers/second chance romance. I loved the premise of their story- it’s not your typical second chance romance, it’s one I don’t think I’ve read before. I loved that they had a history of friendship, with that one night where they let everything that had been building up between them finally run its course. When they reconnect 18 years later it’s almost like no time had passed at all, with the way they were able to ease back into their friendship. I enjoyed the slow burn, as they worked through their feelings for each other. There was a lot of baggage to unpack, especially on Tyler’s end, but there was never any doubt that these two were meant to be together.
Unforgettable was the perfect heartwarming, feel good send-off to the Cloverleigh Farm series. Hopefully we’ll see these sisters in some of Ms. Harlow’s books down the road!
My New Favorite in the Series! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Tyler & April have a destined attraction for each other! They have fireworks when they are together. Tyler needs something real in his life… something to go right. When the best pitcher in baseball “chokes” on the mound, his life is never going to be what he wanted it to be. Instead he came home for his sisters wedding and found exactly what he never knew he needed.
April Sawyer is a woman who cannot seem to move forward. She has a secret from her family. One that she is ashamed of… one that she knows is ok, but she needs to confess to her family what happened. All so she could move on. She never expected for her HEA to be intwined with Tyler.
So much Heat and insta love!
Five Stars Great!
Overall Grade:
At first glance, there is a seeming simplicity to Melanie Harlow’s storytelling. In looking at the Cloverleigh Farms series, you find this family of characters who love, trust, and care for each other to the edges of their beings. Five women with five different stories, yet the thread of family and hope runs deep through all of them. This is the tie that binds all of the stories together, and nothing in this series best illustrates the truth of the Sawyer family than Harlow’s newest book, Unforgettable.
Yes, it would be easy to reduce this book to its trope: second chance romance. Yes, it would be simple to say it’s a story about two people needing to let go of their pasts in order to set upon a journey into the future. Yes, I could further reduce it to a grumpy, disillusioned hero and an emotionally-gripping, intelligent heroine who complete each other to their very depths. Unforgettable holds all of these characteristics and more. Yet, the essence of Unforgettable, the heart of it, lies in the depth of family. This book above any of the other ones, I think, cuts the deepest in showing the power of family to love, sacrifice, and empower. Unforgettable beautifully articulates the message of adoption and its ability to bring people together. For me, this book became my favorite Cloverleigh Farms story because it takes hurt people and heals their wounds through the unbreakable spirit of family.
I refuse to give the secrets of this book away to the readers. What I want to note is Harlow’s ability to craft these exquisite stories that reflect the human spirit. In Unforgettable, April and Tyler need to “let go” of their pasts in order to move forward. While April has achieved professionally, her personal life feels meted out in tiny moments. She seems suspended yet ready to move forward to find love. For Tyler, professionally and personally, his life has been derailed. He has lost his purpose and sense of self. Like April, he needs to examine and move beyond his past so that he can find new professional and personal purpose. With the help of family and their own profound connection, April and Tyler allow love to move them forward away from the hurts and disappointments of their pasts. The depth of this message relates to any of us who have felt trapped, disillusioned by change, or disappointed. In April and Tyler, Harlow helps us see the ways we intersect with their stories and encourages us to move forward, letting family and love guide our way forward.
Harlow’s storytelling draws you in. When I began Unforgettable, I had been impatient to start it. April and Tyler’s life choices are powerful ones. It isn’t that the other books in the series aren’t. However, April’s sacrifice illustrates the capacity to love beyond yourself. As their journey progresses, you simply cannot set this book aside. You need Tyler to determine that he is more than baseball; you need April to move past her guilt, and you need these two to realize their souls’ connection. As Harlow crafts moments of dissension and chemistry and humor, you simply need more. Once I began, there was absolutely no stopping my read. And in the end, Harlow’s epilogue brings the sweetest of moments. When I finished Unforgettable, I already felt nostalgic for the stories of the Sawyers. In giving us April and Tyler’s ultimate happy ending which offers a Tyler who is finally complete in himself, an April who has been blessed beyond measure for her sacrifice, and a family that exudes love, you can’t help but wish there were more Sawyers.
There is something sweet that whispers through Melanie Harlow’s writing. While the idea of “family” is the foundation of the Cloverleigh Farms series, it is really Harlow’s care and quietude in her writing voice that impresses. It’s the reason that so many of us need more of her books. Unforgettable is no different. Second chance, small-town romance with a grumpy hero confounded by life and a self-reflective, intelligent heroine ready for more for herself might not be your thing. If it isn’t, then it should be.
4.5 Home Stars. Yes! I’ve been wanting April’s story and I enjoyed every minute of it. The struggles with guilt and failure are real and I loved how after time two people can help heal each other. Tyler is absolutely swoon worthy and so sexy and his chemistry with April sizzles. Another great read in this series. A definite must read!
Unforgettable is the last book in the Cloverleigh Farms series and each book held my heart for ransom. Every character, every love story was different from the last, yet they all had one thing in common, family.
I love a good second chance romance and this story was that and so much more.
Tyler and April were destined to be together! They just took the long way around to finally get there. Even after eighteen years they still had easy conversation, off the charts chemistry and now a chance at a happily ever after. They just had to come to terms with their pasts in order to have the future they both deserved.
A great second chance love story and wonderful conclusion to the Cloverleigh Farms series for Melanie Harlow!
In a series that features 5 daughters, you can’t help but really root for the fifth and final sister to get her happy ending, which is why I was excited to finally get my hands on Unforgettable.
And April may be the Sawyer sister most deserving of a Prince Charming and a happily-ever-after!
Unforgettable gives us the story of the last unwed Sawyer sister, April. April has been busy planning and overseeing weddings at Cloverleigh Farms. She’s also seen each of her sisters marry the loves of their lives, so she’s finally at a place to see if she can be open to finding her own happily ever after too.
I have to say that April’s character really impressed me. She has been carrying a heavy burden for many years that has influenced her ability to form serious, long-term relationships. Yet, she’s gotten therapy and has worked through her inner demons to get to a better place.
Her inner demon is closely tied with the brief relationship she had with Tyler Shaw back when they were in high school. Only now, 18 years later, Tyler is back in town.
Unlike April, Tyler isn’t looking for a relationship. In fact, he’s been trying to steer clear of everyone and anyone since his MLB baseball career imploded.
Unfortunately, he has to return to his hometown for his sister’s wedding which ends up being an unexpected reconnection with April – the girl who once stole his glances.
I loved how April and Tyler rekindled their brief relationship. Even though Tyler is only in town for a short time, the two find that they once again easily connect and just let that chemistry and attraction take its course without overthinking or questioning. Despite how good it is between them for a second time, April and Tyler still want two different things.
I like how April doesn’t change course on what she wants even though Tyler doesn’t want the same things. She’s a confident woman and that really showed throughout the story.
Tyler on the other hand was a hot mess and he had the most growth to do in this book. It had been years since his career tanked but the man still had many issues to resolve around it to be able to move on with some sort of life. April was a good sounding board for him to be able to do this as was his old baseball coach.
I felt like his “ah-ha” moment however was a bit sudden and too spelled out for the reader once he realized the error of his ways. It was as if all the insight came to him in an instant but that’s OK because it got him to get his head out of his you know what.
Even though this was the final book to this series, it could definitely be read as a standalone and will be a great read for anyone who likes second chance romances, especially those where there is no animosity between the main characters. So refreshing!
Thank you to Melanie Harlow for this advanced reader copy! All opinions are my own.

I wasn’t ready for the end of this amazing series. It was definitely bittersweet! I’ll have to revisit these characters soon. This title was made for April and Tyler. They are truly unforgettable. Once I started reading, putting it down was not an option. The story was everything I needed it to be and more. If you haven’t started this series yet- whether you were waiting for it to be finished or you’ve been living under a rock 😉 and just didn’t know about it- you need to pick it up today! Trust me. They are so worth it!
5 UNFORGETTABLE STARS!! Melanie Harlow saved the best for last. April and Tyler’s story was PERFECTION….I absolutely loved these two and their story will live with me forever. The series has been the best and will be one of my favorite series ever. You definitely need to read this book and series.
Omg! Stories about the Sawyer girls never disappoint me. April had a huge secret she kept from her sisters…a secret baby. But when her high school friend and baby daddy Tyler comes back to town, she ends up dealing with her secret up close and personal. Whoa! I loved these two reconnecting and was it ever scorching hot. Both had some broken pieces that needed healing and April may have been further down that path…but Tyler definitely learned a thing or two. I adored the raw emotions this story strongly evoked…both about adoption being a beautiful thing and the importance of family. This was an amazing story and one I’m thrilled I didn’t miss.
I was so excited that April’s book features a ball player! I love a Sports romance, and even though Tyler is no longer on a team, his life is still all about ball, his mind is still all about ball. Ha, that sounds a lil dirty. April is so great because she knows what she wants and is taking all the steps to get the life she deserves. Tyler may be grumpy, but it’s justified, and he’s still really likeable. I really appreciate how mature they both were about their past choices.
On another note, that cover. It’s just so beautiful. Every time I see it online I stop. I’m lovin this series and this one was super enjoyable to me.
This book was amazing! April and Tyler’s story is my new favorite! I absolutely adored every word! I seriously couldn’t put it down and I was so sad when it ended. April and Tyler’s story sweet, funny, and so sexy! This was so want so worth a bunch of rereads!
Sigh….I love everything about this book! I don’t even know how to write the review, because I feel like you need to read it to feel everything I am feeling right now. Unforgettable is simply beautiful! The love flows throughout this book. It isn’t just the love between April and Tyler. It is family love and it is the feeling of home! I loved watching April heal and blossom into this beautiful soul! I also loved how Tyler healed and rose from the ashes to realize there is more to life than baseball. The epilogue was perfection. My heart is so full!
What a way to end this a amazing series. I cannot believe it’s over. So Mack can move on over a little bit and share the favorite spot with Tyler. I love how similar they are and have a feeling they would be best friends. This story was incredibly emotional. I cannot imagine, as a mother, making the choice to place my child with another family. It is ultimately a choice made of love. I love the profession that Tyler made through this book as he deal with his demons and comes to terms with the changes in his life. The bonus epilogue was everything. I am really hoping that we get a story from Chip as I cannot imagine just letting this family go. I love them so much.
**I did receive a free readers copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review**
The Cloverleigh Farms series and the Sawyer sisters are the best! April and Tylers story though may have become my favorite. Friends in high school and torn apart by life and a heavy secret April and Tyler are reunited when his sister gets married. I loved this second chance romance and their connection that never severed even with all the distance. With a twist I never saw coming towards the end it is really incredible how small the world is and beautiful some sacrifices can be. Highly recommended!
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow a five-star read that you will never be able to forget. This is number five in the Cloverleigh Farms series but they can all be read as stand-alone as the feature a different Sawyer sister, and I wasn’t expecting to like April as much as I did, but she broke me, I sobbed as well as had my heart warmed by this one. Its been a while since a book has touched me so much. I adore Melanie Harlow and her words she just has this way of enthralling you, making you believe every word and feel a part of the story. Tyler was so well written you could feel his frustration with his body, and his walls. I am sad that this is the ned of Cloverleigh farms, but I am glad in some ways as this way Melanie Harlow has managed to go out maintaining the high of the series and in my humble opinion she saved the best till last.
Like its predecessors, Unforgettable can be read as a standalone, however, I’m going to recommend you read the books in order if you do decide to read the entire series given that there may be spoilers with as far as recurring characters are concerned. Having said that, Melanie Harlow upped the ante with the previous novel, Unbreakable, and my expectations were right up there. Guess what? Expectations. Surpassed! I loved how April and Tyler’s story had an original feel to it, and while I can’t say exactly why since I don’t want to this review to get all spoilery, what I will say is that theirs was romance that truly only began eighteen years after that one night they shared. Yes, there was attraction between them as teenagers, but that honest-to-goodness love and romance only truly developed between them when they were already thirty-six, both having lived separate lives. It took a bit for me to warm up to Tyler because the guy was seriously bull-headed at times, but he did earn my affection. Five-plus stars for this fifth and final book. Check out this series which started as irresistible and has become rather unforgettable. Wink.
Rated 4.5 Stars
Unforgettable is funny, sexy, steamy and oh so good. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved April and Tyler’s journey, watching them reconnect and fall for each other all over again. Their chemistry is fire. I also loved that there were glimpses of the couples from previous books. I highly recommend this book and series if you love small town romance centered around a big family.

I love this Cloverleaf series! I love these sisters and I loved April and Tyler’s story. Melanie Harlow gives all the feels in this book!
It pulls at the heart-strings and makes you all in love with these characters. April and Tyler have gone through so much in life. When they reconnect, it’s beautiful! April is strong and loyal and so caring. Tyler lived the life of baseball and frustrated with us current situation.
I loved watching them grow together! I love how family is everything for them and how they make it a family for them together!!
