Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasn’t.
After tanking my career—during the World Series, no … tanking my career—during the World Series, no less—the last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but I’d always wanted her, and I’d never forgotten her—the red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. It’s been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, it’s even hotter this time around—and I don’t want it to end.
But just when I think I’m ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.

First, let me say I’m going to miss this family. This series. All of them were so amazing. u2063

Onto the review…What an emotional ride! I have to be honest, there were some scenes that my tears just fall. Then one specific scene legit gave me goosebumps. Lol u2063

I love April. She carried a burden with her for so long that all I want to do was hug her. She was so sweet, loving, caring. While reading, I seriously think she is too good for Tyler. Tyler got me so frustrated. There were so many decisions he did that pissed me off so bad. Lol but looking at the big picture, Tyler and April was each other’s home. Perfect for one another. The chemistry they have was so amazing. I’m not going to say more or I’ll spoil the story, but just know that it’s one of my favorites out of the series.u2063
April finally got her well deserved HEA!!!! These Sawyer sisters are all amazing in their own way. April was finding her inner peace with something from her past when Tyler, a friend that has to do with the situation from her past that she’s trying to be at peace with, returns almost after 18 years. He was a big time MLB player that recently retired. Before he made it in the big leagues he and April were very good friends that led to something one night. Now in the present they are trying to see where things can go. But first Tyler is battling lots of demons due to the way his baseball career ended. He was also so adamant about certain things in which April was against. She was there for him but at times he was in his head so much that he almost lost the best thing that has ever happened to him which is April. When he finally saw what was in front of him he decided to help April with her inner peace of their past situation. He was extremely supportive and I must say when that happened I cried because I wanted everything to go smoothly for them. I loved how everything came together and I loved their epilogue. This family is the best.
This is last book in the Cloverleigh Series and it did the series justice. April and Tyler’s story was immersing, sexy, and epic. The journey they go thru was not for the faint of heart. The maturity these two have for all of the emotions and adulting they have to do is impressive. There was no blame or anger, just raw unfiltered coming to terms with their life choices. I can’t put in words how much this book pulls you in and you just get immersed in a great love story. This was a perfect story for one of the best series Melanie has written. If you haven’t read all of them – do it!
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow is book 5 in the Cloverleigh Farms Series. This is the story of Tyler Shaw and April Sawyer. I haven’t yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book. I did enjoy this book so much so that I and want to go back to read the others now. Tyler was the hometown local sports hero who left to make it big but during a World Series ended up tanking when his pitch arm gave out. Now, his sister has him come back to that hometown where he meets April again. Once April and Tyler where good friends who took their friendship to a hotter place on his last night before going away to pursue his baseball career. Tyler has become a man who is sore about what happened to him feeling like that was all he knew in life so he is feeling a lost a life which makes him grumpy. April is of course shocked to know he is back but the spark is still there between them along with some other things that will becoming to light. Enjoyed their second chance at love.
Unforgettable is definitely a book that is “unforgettable”. *pun intended* What an amazing book and what an amazing end to the Cloverleigh Farms series. Technically this book is a standalone novel but I would highly recommend reading the other books because you will see the past sisters in this book and figure out their stories. It’s not required though and you can still enjoy as a standalone.
April and Tyler were good friends in high school that were both drawn to each other but didn’t pursue until one night. Immediately after he left for the big leagues. Now he’s back for his sister’s wedding and they run into each other. Tyler asks her out to talk and they both realize that they are still drawn to each other. They have some things to overcome and it definitely isn’t smooth sailing but you can’t help but root for them. I love the banter and the humor between April and Tyler. I love seeing them reconnect and you can just tell they are meant for each other. I also loved some of the new characters we got in this book.
I’m so very sad to see this series end. I love all of Melanie’s books but this family and this series is my favorite. I’m going to miss the Sawyer family and know I’ll be re-reading this series many times.
“All at once, I remembered how easily I’d fallen into his arms eighteen years ago–and I knew instinctively how easily it could happen again if I wasn’t careful. Tyler Shaw just did something to me.”
Emotional and beautifully written second-chance.
Unforgettable has everything you could ask for in a romance: lots of heart, refreshing humor, unconditional love, a little bit of angst, anticipation, and of course some steamy chemistry. April is kind, self-less and so emotionally resilient that her journey was the perfect way to conclude the Cloverleigh Farms series. I adore the characters in this series and hope to see them again some day.
“I’m the most me when I’m with you–because you’re the only one whose the real me. Wherever you are is home to me.”
I highly recommend taking a journey with all the Sawyer sisters: Frannie (Irresistible), Chloe (Undeniable), Meg (Insatiable), Sylvia (Unbreakable) and April (Unforgettable).
4.5 stars
I finished this late last night, and y’all::: this is the BEST book in the series. Hands down, April and Tyler’s story was everything I wanted and more.
I have been wanting April’s story since we were first introduced to her at the beginning of the series, and even more so after what she told Sylvia in the last book, and I can say with absolute certainty that she is my favorite Sawyer sister. She’s passionate, kind, witty, sincere, loyal, beautiful — both inside and out — and so incredibly human. I’m trying so hard not to spoil anything, but her experiences were so emotional, and I loved how she went to therapy to get closure, and came out stronger for it because she knew she did the right thing. I just loved everything about this lady!
Tyler is an ex-pro baseball player who very publicly saw his career fade before his very eyes. He turned into a grumy, cranky man who prefers isolation versus people (especially since everyone he comes in contact with has an opinion on what went wrong.) When he returns home for his sisters wedding, he runs into April almost right away and the feelings that have always been there ignite into something so powerful and intense. These two are such opposites in every way; Tyler believes that because he failed at baseball he’s going to fail at everything else in his life. He refuses to ever settle down and have the family with the white picket fence, but April has always made him want more than what he envisioned for himself.
This book turned out differently than what I thought it would, but that’s such an amazing thing. It didn’t take the cliche, normal route with April’s situation, and with Tyler knowing everything, these two had a real second chance from the start. And I loved, loved how quickly they fell for each other.. even though they hadn’t been around each other for eighteen years, that are each other’s person and it’s just so beautiful.
I can’t recommend this book enough. That cover alone is enough to make me one click, but the beautiful love story, the self discovery, the realization that life doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to be but instead turns out to be even more beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. Go one click this as soon as you can!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!!**
I absolutely loved this series by Melanie Harlow and Unforgettable was the perfect conclusion. Unforgettable follows Tyler and Aprils heartwarming story which kept me hooked from the first page. Melanie Harlow truly brought these characters to life; I laughed, swooned and cried. I highly recommend Unforgettable and the Cloverleigh Farms Series. I cannot wait to see what is next from Melanie Harlow!
I think this is my favorite book out of the series. Haunted by the past April trys to move on with her life and make the best of it. being a wedding planer she see happy couples all the time and she has to wonder if she will ever get her happy ever after. Tyler had it all being a pro baseball playing. Then all the sudden his playing days are over. Living alone and staying clear of people is how it likes it. Then he has to return home for is sister wedding. When he runs in to April past feeling start to to come back and they have to face there past and present to make a future with each other. And after all this time they may finally get there happy ending This was such a great read 5 star read
I absolutely loved this whole series by Melanie Harlow, and this last book, Unforgettable, is just that! April and Tyler have a history, but haven’t seen each other in 18 years. When Tyler, a former pro baseball player, comes home for his sisters wedding, they reconnect and sparks fly! I love that Tyler and April have such a wonderful, easy friendship, in addition to the hot romance. Will their history, along with the issues Tyler has with the way he left baseball tear them apart?
Melanie’s writing hooked me from the very first page, and I didn’t want this book, or the series to end. Her characters come to life, with all of their passions, fears and flaws. I am truly going to miss Coverleigh farms., but I can’t wait for more by this wonderful author.
AHHH!!! I swear Melanie Harlow’s stories are like coming home for me. I have loved the Cloverleigh Farms series since book one and finally getting April’s story is just icing on the cake. I knew it would equally gut me and make me swoon but seeing her and Tyler together, their past and their present just rocked me to my core. I loved their passion and their emotional connection and could not get enough of their beautiful love story!! Harlow did it again!
Gah!! Tyler Shaw was everything I love in my book heroes and then some. He was grumpy, cocky and arrogant but also with a heart of gold. And April Sawyer was the kryptonite that flayed him. There is just something about the way Harlow pens second chance romances. I felt the draw and attraction between them right away down to the depths of my heart. I equally rooted for and wept for them and what they went through in the past but could not love them more. Both Tyler and April not only had to face their pasts before even thinking about their future, but they needed to reconcile the issues within themselves. This beautiful story touched me like only a Melanie Harlow story can. It was sexy, emotional, poignant and filled to the brim with the sexy chemistry and banter I live for. This was another gold star hit in this incredible series! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
This book gave me all the feels. I felt so much for April. I just could imagine making those decisions and then having to hold it in for so long. So happy she and Tyler got their 2nd chance.
Second chances are not always easy to take…
Tyler Shaw was a baseball god. Then he got a bad case of the yips. During the World Series. He ended his career. He’s been hiding from the world like a grumpy bear hibernating at his estate or cabin in California.
But even though he wants to hide from the world, he will do almost anything for his younger sister, even come home for her wedding at Cloverleigh Farms.
He hasn’t seen April, his former best friend, in 18 years.
April, who has recently started to deal with the results of their one night together.
They parted as friends. She is not bitter toward him. Neither of them were looking to be parents. They had other plans for their futures at the time. She just wants to know she made the right choice.
She knew she would see Tyler again at his sister’s wedding. Neither of them expected to find themselves exploring more than friendship when they saw each other again.
And boy, do they explore.
Tyler is starting to realize maybe coming home isn’t such a bad idea after all. But he has some issues to deal with first. He definitely is the one with the baggage in this relationship…in all of his relationships.
I loved this story. His struggles with finding where he belongs in a world where he isn’t a world class pitcher anymore. His and April’s adjustment from friends to lovers to oh so much more. His relationship with his sister. His relationship to baseball. This story was simply fantastic.
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Unforgettable is the newest and final stand-alone story in the Cloverleigh Farms Series by Melanie Harlow. The Cloverleigh Farms Series picks up where the One and Only Series left off, and I was excited to see each Sawyer sister get her own story!
This series was one of my faves, and I loved how Melanie’s writing wove such a detailed backstory as always. All our other faves from Cloverleigh Farms also made an appearance in this book as expected!
The main character, April Sawyer, is the one I’ve always wondered about. The beautiful redhead who never seems to date…but why? The story begins with April divulging a secret from her past that makes it very clear why she’s been so closed off about the idea of a future. She is finally ready to face that past, when in walks her old flame Tyler, eliciting a whole new set of feelings and complications.
Melanie Harlow is always successful at writing true to life character’s with real flaws and fears and creating heartfelt stories that endear them to you. April and Tyler’s story was raw and painful and I loved watching these characters develop. As a reader, I always appreciate how Melanie wraps her tales in such a way that satisfies my curiosity about what happens next for the characters. You never have to wonder how their futures turnout in the end. Always a HEA!
I loved this story and I would highly recommend it, and this series as a whole!
This was a sweet and emotional story. This is a second chance romance and April and Tyler have a great friendship that built into something more. It creates problems and they had to go their separate ways but they meet up again at Tyler’s sisters wedding and the chemistry is still there. Sad that this is the last book in the series. By loved them all!
Wow. Just wow.
I loved this book. And not just Tyler. I really loved April too. Their story is so well-written and you can’t help but to want to keep reading to find out what happens, how everything will turn out. It truly is an “unforgettable” story
With every new book by Melanie, I have a new favorite book but after finishing Unbreakable I couldn’t wait for April’s story. It’s not neccesary to read the previous books but they are all great.
April and Tyler had dreams when they finished High School, they were friends and afraid to say something about certain feelings they kept to themselves. And after everything, they reminded like that. But Tyler’s dreams crushed his life and made him a recluse for a long time, that’s until he needs to go to his sister wedding where he will face the choices he and April made a long time ago.
“What if this place started to feel like home to me?
Late that night I was lying in April’s bed, my arms wrapped around her soft, warm body, when I realized it already had”.
He refuse to stay in that place he once called home but one look at April and he will have to think about his future and not beeing stuck in his past and what he said were his failures.
“You think all you had to offer anyone was a million-dollar arm, and since that’s gone, you’ve got nothing to give. But you’re wrong”.
April needs to make peace with the decisions she made in the past so she can have that future she yearns. She and Tyler have a lot to talk and clear if they want to be together, It won’t be easy but they need to open old wounds to heal.
“You let me go when I needed to be free, and you pulled me in when I needed to belong”.
This is the perfect end for the series and I am sad about it because I really want to know more about them.
What a way for this amazing series to go it! April and Tyler were the perfect ending. This story just took control from page 1. From what happens to them as kids to teens to adults is what great reads are made of. You can’t help but be emotional for a couple like this. And hope that somehow, with all the things that have gone against them, just the stars will finally align and they will be happy together in the end.
This will be the perfect beach/pool side read when we are allowed to enjoy those activities again someday!
What can I say….Unforgettable was great and I totally loved the story. It’s bittersweet though because this is the last book in the Cloverleigh Farms Series. This is one of my all time favorite series by Melanie Harlow and I am sad to see these characters end.
Unforgettable is the 5th and final book in this series. It is a standalone novel that is a friends to lover/second chance romance. It is told in Dual POV. I thought the flow and pace of the story worked well for these characters. It is kind of a slow burn, but not too bad. I think the pace this story took, was the right way to tell their story. They had some serious things to overcome.
I believe each book can be read in any order but I will tell you this, you do see other couples from the past books, so if you don’t want to know how their stories end, then you should read this series in order. I loved the message that was portrayed throughout this story….family is more than just through blood lines.
If you love a romance novel that has humor, sex, banter and two characters that are just meant for each other, then you want to read this book!!! As with all the books in this series, Melanie has a brilliant way of writing her stories that you can’t help but root for the couple to get their HEA. Even if it isn’t smooth sailing all along the way.
In this story we follow April and Tyler’s story. April is the second oldest of the sisters. Tyler was a famous pitcher in the MLB….until he wasn’t. Now he is back in their hometown for his sister’s wedding. He is surprised to run into his old friend from high school…..April. April and Tyler have a weird history that unfolds as the story is told. They have some serious things to overcome and it wasn’t always smooth sailing. I loved both of these characters.
As always I loved seeing the past couples and sisters in this book. I also loved getting to know some new characters. I am sad to say goodbye to this family 🙁
You don’t want to miss this latest romance from Melanie Harlow!!! This whole series is one you will want to add to the top of your TBR list NOW!!!
I can’t believe this is the last book in the series, I love these sisters like my own and April’s story is one I’ve been waiting for.
Tyler was the town superstar making it big in baseball, one minute he was the greatest pitcher in the game, and the next minute, nothing. Returning to his home town for his sister’s wedding he bumps in April, who he once knew from before he left.
Tyler. I loved the two sides of his character, the grumpy, loved to be alone versus always wanting to be around April and his need to have her was insatiable. He couldn’t get enough.
Things move quickly for this pair and boy do they get steamy. I felt Harlow kicked it up a notch for them and I ain’t complaining, but one of the things I loved most about them is how comfortable and honest they were with each other, it was lovely to read.
April has always intrigued me out of the sisters, always there to help them and now it’s her turn to lean on them when things get a little tough.
Secrets come out and Tyler has to decide if walking away back to his solitude is easier than dealing with his feelings.
This family is one I won’t forget in a hurry and that’s down to the incredible writing from Harlow and I loved each one so hard. The stories are heartwarming, relatable, a little emotional and will capture your heart from the beginning. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book or any in the series.
ARC received for an honest review – thank you
