Back then, I had it all.
Wicked fastball. Killer instinct. Cocky grin. Full package.
(And believe me, I knew how to score.)
My senior year, I was a first round draft pick with a two-million-dollar signing bonus. Before I could even legally buy myself a beer, I made my Major League debut.
Point is, I was invincible.
Until one day I wasn’t.
After tanking my career—during the World Series, no … tanking my career—during the World Series, no less—the last thing I want to do is return to my hometown, where every jerk in a ball cap has an opinion about what went wrong with my arm. So when my sister drags me back to town for her wedding, I vow to get in and out of there as quickly as possible.
Then I run into April Sawyer.
In high school we were just friends, but I’d always wanted her, and I’d never forgotten her—the red hair, the incredible smile, the crazy, reckless thing we did in the back of my truck the night we said goodbye. It’s been eighteen years, but one look at her and I feel like my old self again. I can still make her laugh, she can still take me down a notch, and when the chemistry between us explodes, it’s even hotter this time around—and I don’t want it to end.
But just when I think I’m ready to let go of the past and get back in the game, life throws me a curveball I never saw coming.

I have loved every single book in this series and Unforgettable is no different. Melanie writes witty, sexy, emotional small town romance beautifully. If you haven’t started this series of standalones yet now is the perfect time to dive in!
Beautiful small town romance with an HEA!
I love Melanie Harlow ‘s Cloverleigh Farms books, and this one had the best conflict ever! I couldn’t stop turning the pages because I had to know when the truth would come out!
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I absolutely adore the Cloverleigh Farms series and knowing that April was finally getting her HEA, it made me so flipping excited. Especially because we’ve gotten snippets of her and it made me super curious about her and her story.
Her story seriously made me feel. I am a birth mother. I didn’t have the same story as April, but I felt ALL the feelings she felt. I felt ALL of it. Melanie captured those feelings perfectly and immaculately. I seriously ugly cried a few times during some of the scenes, just because I felt all of those emotions on a personal and deep level.
Tyler upset me at times. Like, I wanted to reach into my kindle and shake some sense into that man. But I also understood where he was coming from. He had his own things to work through, and it made him relatable. I was able to connect to him, and I adored him, once he got his head on straight.
April and Tyler stole my heart. Melanie depicted every part of their story with so much emotion and grit that you can’t help but be pulled into their stories. You are right there experiencing every single thing. I adore it so much.
Five stars for this beautiful friends to lovers romance that had me feeling everything, from start to finish.

Sports romance
Melanie Harlow closes out her Cloverleigh Farms series on a high! All the emotions and laughs and sighs and swoons you’d expect, with as much heart and heat as you could ask for. All wrapped up in a friends-to-lovers sports romance!
Melanie Harlow is without question one of my favorite authors, and I pretty much will pre-order anything she writes. That being said, this book stands out all on it’s own! Melanie has this thing she does in series where she ties books together with characters, so sometimes you meet a character in a previous book or you get a glimpse of past characters in future books, which is one of my favorite things about her books. April, the main character in this book, has been one that all of her other sisters have leaned on through the first four books in the series. As each book progressed, we got more and more glimpses of April and her life, with a pretty big nugget of info on her past in the fourth book (Unbreakable, about oldest sister Sylvia). All of this combined to make me pretty excited to read the final book in the Cloverleigh Farms series and see April get her well-deserved HEA.
This book tackles a subject matter that will really tug on your heart strings (adoption), and seeing how it has affected April and Tyler in their lives was very moving for me. I loved their interactions with each other, the banter, the heat. I definitely recommend this one, you won’t regret it!
Melanie Harlow masterly crafted a story that I instantly fell in love with! Right from the beginning the set up to the story was unforgettable. As the story went on it just got better and better. Then we got the twist of all twists! DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! It was perfection!!! I have such strong feeling for this book because right from the start I was invested with the characters. They were so likable I just want to know everything about them. I was rooting for them through out the entire book! To say this book was amazing is an understatement. It was EVERYTHING! I just loved everything from the characters, the story, and the writing. It all fit together perfectly. While this story is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. You get glimpses of previous characters in the series! This story is definitely a MUST READ!!! It goes on the list as a favorite for 2020!!!
I have loved all of the books in the Cloverleigh series but Unforgettable is my favorite! I loved EVERYTHING about this book. It’s a sweet and sentimental close to what is a beautifully written and emotional series.
Unforgettable is perfection in my eyes. Reliving that fateful night between April and Tyler, and then the hard decisions they had to make. And how she carried that burden with her throughout the years, I have so much love and respect for her character.
Unforgettable – the final standalone in the Cloverleigh Farms series by Melanie Harlow – is here!
The final Cloverleigh Farms story is here!!
I’ve read each of the books in the Cloverleigh Farms series, and I’ve loved them all. A large-family-based small-town romance series is one of my favorite things to read, and Melanie Harlow’s Cloverleigh Farms series was a fantastic one. I’ve been looking forward to April’s story because she was the sister readers knew the least about, the one with the most secrets. Unforgettable is her story, and Harlow did a wonderful job telling April and Tyler’s heart-tugging, heat-filled friends-to-lovers, second-chance, small town romance by taking readers through the rekindling of their youthful friendship and setting it on fire.
April and Tyler have a complicated and painful history, although not for the reasons one might think. They didn’t part on bad terms, with terse words or anger between them—they just… went their separate ways. Faced with a difficult choice at a young age, April made the most selfless and mature decision she could have made at the time. She moved forward with her life, but the emotional consequences of that decision lingered with her. As an adult, she’s trying to move beyond them by finally dealing with them head on when Tyler walks back into her life. Tyler, a gifted pitcher, left to follow his dream of playing professional baseball. He was well into a remarkable career when it all fell apart. Humiliated and ashamed, he was forced to leave the sport he loved and is living a very solitary life. In town for his sister’s wedding, he runs into April, and they both get caught up in the nostalgia of the easy, carefree friendship they shared in their youth.
This was such an intensely emotional story as both Tyler and April had baggage to deal with before either was truly ready for what the other had to offer. My heart ached for both of them as they sifted through the wreckage of their painful lives and histories. While they tried to ignore the attraction they both were feeling, time wasn’t exactly on their side, so they didn’t fight too hard before they gave in to it. Tyler and April’s relationship, while fast-paced, was right for them. Sometimes love sneaks up on you when and where you least expect it, and this couple came to the table with a strong friendship, albeit dormant for many years, as their foundation. Just when they get to the point where plans are changing, feelings are involved and opportunities arise, difficult and painful choices suddenly had to be made, and in the heat of those moments, it’s not always easy to see through haze to the sunny sky beyond. Harlow did an amazing job getting these emotions down on the page, and I felt the crushing disappointment and soul-deep longing right along with this couple.
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow was the perfect finale to this heart-warming, family-based, small town romance series. A passionate and emotional journey to love that was a bit bittersweet and angsty at times, April and Tyler’s happily-ever-after was all the more rewarding for the trials they faced, the tests they endured, and the love they found on the other side of them. Melanie Harlow gave her readers something truly special this family and their love stories, and I’m sad to see the Cloverleigh Farms series end. Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow gets 5 smooches from me!
~Danielle Palumbo, Red Cheeks Reads
WOW!!! I have read all the Cloverleigh Farms books and while I love them all this one is without a doubt my favorite!!!!! There was just something about these two that pulled me in. The pull between them was so deep even after all the years but Tyler was nowhere near ready for April un high school, nor probably much before he comes home. He needed to live the baseball life (and all that happened after) to really find himself. I love how once he came home he was able to really see this and able to finally give himself to April. Their love was certainly Unforgettable!!!!!!!
The fifth and final book in the Cloverleigh Farms series is finally here and the moment is just so bittersweet. I’ve grown so attached to the Sawyer family, so I’m a little sad now that it’s time to say goodbye. But oh, what a way to go!
First, let me just say that I was absolutely floored when a big chunk of April’s backstory was revealed in Unbreakable. Family is such a HUGE part of this series, so to learn about what happened with April didn’t seem right to me at first — like it didn’t fit with underlying “family is everything” theme of the series. So naturally, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her story because I knew there had to be more!
And can I just say; Tyler and April’s happily ever after may have been eighteen years in the making, but the journey was so, so worth it! Everything they went through lead them back to one another and I just could not be happier! I cried, I laughed, I swooned. I had all the warm and fuzzy feelings you expect to get from a Melanie Harlow book, but multiplied by like a thousand!
“When I’m with you, I know where I belong. I never want to be anywhere else. I miss you when you’re not there. I’m the most me when I’m with you –because you’re the only who sees the real me.” He took a breath. “Wherever you are is home to me. And I don’t want to leave home again.”
April and Tyler’s love story was just so well-crafted and redefines what family truly is. It’s heart-warming, endearing, and absolutely worth the wait. It quite possibly may be Melanie Harlow’s best work yet, making this series one that will stick with me for a very, very long time.
“But that’s what Cloverleigh Farms has always been about — family. Milestones. Growth. Love. Celebration. Memories. … this is a place where family means more than just DNA. It means opening our doors and our hearts to strangers. It means showing up for our neighbors. It means reaching out when you know someone needs it. It means forgiveness, acceptance, compassion, joy… And it’s that feeling you get when you know you’re home.”
Totally loved April and Tyler’s story!! This story is so emotional, and endearing and complex, and so full of feels! I knew April was going to have a deep story, based on the little hints we got in Sylvia’s book. So while waiting for Unforgettable to release, I conjured up so many scenarios in my head!
There is so much history between April and Tyler, even though they haven’t seen each other in eighteen years. But when they do see each other again, their friendship just picks up like it was never missing. And the chemistry between them is off the charts. They have a newfound respect for each other, and even though it is so hard for Tyler to be a “talk about my feelings” kind of guy, April knows just how to wait him out and get him to talk.
It was so heartwarming watching these two navigate a new path going forward. I loved meeting Tyler’s sister, Sadie, who obviously knows how to push his buttons. And I loved catching up with all the Sawyer sisters and their families.
Melanie is just so talented at writing second chances, not just second chance romance, but second chances in general, and both April and Tyler are getting a second chance to resolve long overdue issues that have impacted their ways of life until now. A second chance at getting to have the kind of life they never thought they deserved.
I am so sad to see the end of the Cloverleigh Farms series!! I can only guess at what Melanie will be bringing us next, and I have no doubt it will be amazing!
4.5 Stars!
Tyler Shaw was a high school baseball star and a first round draft pick who skyrocketed to fame making millions as a MLB pitcher. He was invincible until he wasn’t. One moment at the word series shatters all his dreams. One minute he’s on top of the world, and in the next minute, it’s all gone, and he goes from feeling like a winner to feeling like an embarrassment. Baseball was his life, and his destiny. He was never more himself than when he was on the field. With his confidence and career shot, he didn’t know what to do with the rest of his life. Without baseball he didn’t know who he was. He’s now a reclusive loner in California who prefers to be at his cabin in the mountains hiding out and brooding. Then his little sister calls and summons him to come back to their hometown in northern Michigan because she’s getting married. He isn’t thrilled about it, but Sadie is the only family he has left. He’s determined to get back home to San Diego as soon as possible, but then he runs into April Sawyer and things take a detour. She was a high school friend he’d always wanted and never forgotten. He hasn’t seen her in eighteen years, but one look at her, and he feels like he’s a teenager again. She familiar and feels like home. She makes him laugh, and tells it like it is. As they reconnect he feels comfort in the fact that he can be himself with her. Will she give him hope for the future, or will life throw him another curveball?
April Sawyer is the second oldest of the five Sawyer sisters. She’s an event planner at their family owned business Cloverleigh Farms. She loves her job, but feels like she has an unfinished chapter in her life, and wants to work on herself. She has regrets, and struggles from her past, and wants to get married and have a family someday. She wants to find her person like her sister’s have. Then she crosses paths with Tyler Shaw. She hasn’t seen him since they graduated high school, but he’s still just as gorgeous as she remembers. Things heat up between them as they rediscover their chemistry. The emotional connection that had always been there is just as strong, and being with him felt easy. She quickly realizes this beautiful man matters to her, but will he be able to give her the happily ever after she deserves?
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow is the fifth and final book in the Cloverleigh Farms series. April and Tyler’s story is a heartwarming, emotional, friends to lovers, second chance, sports romance that will capture your heart. It’s the perfect ending to an amazing series!!!
Unforgettable by Melanie Harlow is the 5th and final book in The Cloverleigh Farms series. It tells the story of Tyler, a World Series Pitcher who loses his game during the World Series and goes from “hero to head case”, according to the media.
April is Tyler’s high school friend who helped him with his schoolwork and babysat his sister. Prior to leaving for the Major Leagues they have a one-night stand and April becomes pregnant. The baby is given up for adoption and 18 years later April has decided that she wants to meet her son.
April feels stuck in her life and believes that by meeting her son it will help her move on. When Tyler returns for his sister’s wedding he runs into April, who he hasn’t seen or spoken to in 18 years. He is not interested in a relationship and continues to struggle with the negative media attention, as well as the fact that he can no longer pitch.
As they rekindle their friendship it turns into more, but each has different goals and hopes for the future. Will they be able to work it out, or will they go their separate ways?
I was able to figure out where the story would lead fairly quickly, but it didn’t take away from the story. I am sad that this is the final book in the series, as I have enjoyed reading about each Sawyer sister. I hope that Ms. Harlow will reunite all the couples in a future book. In the meantime, I look forward to her next release.
NO SPOILERS!
Unforgettable was absolutely PHENOMENAL and everything I wanted it to be and so much more! The entire Cloverleigh Farms series has been exceptional, but Melanie Harlow definitely saved the best for last with Unforgettable!
The storyline was absolutely perfect and I loved it so much. I honestly didn’t completely know what to expect with Tyler and April’s story, but it was pure romance PERFECTION, and I absolutely loved it with all of my heart. Melanie Harlow blew me away with this story, and I loved every single minute of the journey she took me on in this sweet, sexy, and swoon-worthy second chance romance. Everything about it was phenomenal, and I truly can’t recommend it enough!
The characters were beyond amazing, and I immediately fell head over heels in love with all of them. Tyler and April were incredibly lovable and had fantastic personalities. I loved the smoking hot chemistry between them and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved all of their banter and interactions with each other, and swooned my heart out from beginning to end. All of the secondary characters, with the exception of a few, were amazing as well and I loved them dearly. Tyler and April’s story was full of heart, heat, humor, and swoon-worthy romance, but it wasn’t always easy and they had some things to work through, both individually and together. However, through all of the trials and tribulations, they were able to find their happily ever after, and I was absolutely ecstatic with the outcome.
Unforgettable was truly that: unforgettable! Melanie Harlow worked her brilliant romance magic and created a sweet, sexy, emotional, and swoon-worthy standalone second chance romance with Unforgettable, and it was hands down my favorite standalone in the Cloverleigh Farms series. However, Unbreakable (Cloverleigh Farms Book 4) was honestly a very close second. Tyler and April’s love story was outstanding in every way, and I truly hope you give it a chance, because it is definitely NOT to be missed!
Oh my heart this was all consuming Tyler is flawed and April lonely and they both carry so much baggage, and when they meet again fireworks erupt and that flame is still there as they lift each other up in confidence.
This was an amazing second chance full of laughter and very intense serious moments, I loved This series and these characters so much.
Unforgettable is the final installment in the Cloverleigh Farms series, and I have treasured every moment getting to know these sisters and this family. Book five is centered around April and Tyler. Tyler and April were friends in high school, before he went off to be a world famous pitcher, until his career ended early, leaving him devastated and bitter and somewhat of a recluse. He returns to the area for his sister’s wedding, which is being held at Cloverleigh Farms, where he then runs into April who is the event planner.
I enjoyed that while April and Tyler had great chemistry, they had a friendship too, and they spent a lot of time communicating and talking about their lives and issues that may have held them back from growing and moving on in life successfully. I love that they both could help give each other something the other person desperately needed, and I really loved that Tyler finally felt like he found his home.
Unforgettable was emotional, and raw at times, but inspiring. I am truly sad to see the end of the Cloverleigh Farms series as I have loved getting to know each and every one of these couples, but I know Melanie Harlow will bring us many more amazing swoony stories to get lost in.
