He’s a football god. She’s the daughter of a Texas senator. Their chemistry is like oil and water. My name is Ryker James. I hate when people tell me what to do. I’m cocky, ornery, and I take things when I want them. Caring isn’t in my vocabulary unless it’s related to football or my family, and I just lost my entire family in a blink of an eye. Now all I have is football. The problem is the … football. The problem is the misery, the drinking, and the parties have more appeal to me.
But Lakemont University wants that championship. Fans want to see wins on the scoreboard, and my teammates salivate to crush our opponents every game.
Yet, the only pass I might be throwing is at the auburn-haired girl who waltzes into my life.
She’s fire. I’m ice. A combination that doesn’t work.
So let the games begin.
My name is Haven Hale, and I’d been tucked away in a boarding school most of my life. Now, I’m a big-time college girl. All I see is freedom in front of me.
But first, I have to agree to my father’s demands””no media attention and no sororities. If I can follow those two edicts, then college life should be a breeze. Until one close encounter with Ryker James, and Father Dearest has changed the game.
Stay away from the big, bad quarterback, or face my father’s wrath. There’s only one problem. I can’t help who I’m attracted to.
And Ryker James is a magnet, built to attract any female, constructed to make any girl’s heart sputter, and my heart is beating off the charts.
So, it’s time to choose between the devil I know and the one I don’t.
This is a standalone college sports romance with an HEA and intended for 18+

Unforgettable
By S. B. Alexander
Main Characters: Ryker and Haven
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
Ryker is a football player and Haven is a Senator’s daughter both in college. Both main characters are strong individuals and Ryker, of course, is a playboy and Haven is just trying to keep under the radar of her father especially with an upcoming election for him. Things definitely do not go as planned. I wasn’t thrilled with Ryker’s character in the beginning but he grew on me quickly especially when you find out why he was acting out so badly. The things he went through. Argh! Loved this book.
Honestly I don’t know where to start… this book was amazingly emotional and I loved every minute of it! Haven and Ryker are both very strong individuals and are perfect for each other!
Being the senator’s daughter puts not only a lot of pressure but also loads of attention on Haven. College is the first real opportunity for Haven to branch out and try to be her own person since she went to boarding schools. Haven has known her own loss with her mom dying when she was young, which seems to have made her a stronger person.
Throughout the book Ryker is going through what no one should have to go through, which is the sudden loss of his mom, dad, younger brother, and sister. (I bawled my eyes out multiple times throughout the book)
Haven and Ryker meet the week after his family die and from there you can tell Haven will be good for him and help him through this difficult time. Little do they know the trouble that is ahead and the people that will try and keep them apart.
“Flowers are your sunshine.”
“You were always the rainbow in the storm.”
This book tore at my heart strings from the first chapter. Ryker is a star footballer about to start is junior year of collage when his world collapses around him. In one moment he loses both his parents and his two young siblings. He is coping the best he can with booze and getting ready for football season. Haven is the daughter of a senator who is finally back home for collage after spending years at a boarding school. Her father has rules that she must follow if she is going to continue to go to the collage of her choice. No bad press and no sorority. That should be easy, until she meets Ryker.
You could feel Ryker’s grief through the pages. And Haven’s spunk jumped out right away. Both of these characters where amazing and every word of their story had me captivated. This is one of my favorite books by S.B. Alexander, and that is saying something if you have read the Maxwell series.
This is probably my favorite book by S.B. Alexander so far. Ryker and Havens dynamic and banter just worked perfectly with this story and kept me wanting to know about these two. It had the perfect combination of everything I enjoy in my books.
