Entertaining mystery
This book went quick. The only minus was that I really didn’t understand some of his wit.
Not my type of read.
Liked writing style and the main character but story was over the top. Will try by more by this author and see
Good read.
Good read
The author went to great lengths to come up with witty comments by the arrogant protagonist. Unfortunately, I found the sarcastic humor often fell flat (and I do quite enjoy good sarcasm), with most of it barbs delivered to a little man by the tall main character. The female characters seemed to exist primarily for their physical attractiveness …
I was disappointed in this 10th anniversary rerelease. It was a gory, unrealistic, sarcastic piece of trash. There was little redeeming value to the main character, Prescott. I should have listened to the author when he suggested any first time reader to his books should not start with this first attempt of published work. Having read this first …
The book didn’t catch my attention from the beginning. I couldn’t finish it!
The hero was too funny to be taken seriously.
Well written
Nick Pirog has a fabulous sense of humor and as an Author uses it in excellent ways as he wove it into the plot. Made me laugh out loud, literally. His main character Thomas Prescott, perfectly suited for the character he played. Pirog and his humor led me into a thriller that was suspenseful and definitely no weak ending. I have read three of …
Unexpected and intriguing writing style…thoroughly enjoyed
I thought it was quite well written since it was the author’s first book. Looking forward to reading Gray Matter.
The writer has a gift! Never boring! You never see the twist coming!
after reading this and rolling my eyes at some of the *gross, this makes sense that guys think like this* comments in the book, i read the author’s comments at the end. You can tell he is a huge fan of Plum Island, Unforeseen mirrors a lot of that book! It was overall entertaining and fun to read. I don’t know if this is something i would …
I couldn’t put this book down. Apparently, Pirog wrote this book when he was 22, and re-released it at its 10 year anniversary. He claims it has flaws; I didn’t find any. I love Thomas Prescott and the other characters. It’s a great read.
Thomas Prescott is deliciously captivating. Gruesome and macabre with a soothing twist of humor. I loved this book and it made me a huge Nick Pirog fan.
Started a little slow but hold on because you never know what’s coming next!
I think the author was young when he wrote this. First book if I remember correctly
