strange but readable
Poorly written. Main character, insufferable and immature Strongly disliked this book
I am so glad I took a chance on Nick Pirog. What an amazing writer. So stinkin’ funny, yet good, intricate plots.
I actually have a line quoted from Gray Matter that I am going to attach to all my emails, simply because every time I read it, I bust out laughing!
Enjoyable read.
Thriller and murder mystery, Unforeseen is full of gruesome details. The narrator travels back and forth between the past when the murders were committed and the current day. The detective/ex cop/ FBI consultant gives the reader a smart and arrogant twist on this killing spree.
The first of the Thomas Prescott books. I really liked the main character, Thomas, he is a wise cracking ex Government agent. I laugh out loud when I read his stories. I am hooked after this one and have now read 2 more. The others are just as good if not better. Nick Pirog takes some serious issues and wraps a great mystery with a great main …
The story was okay, but the writing was more snarky adolescent than gritty crime drama. This was a book written by a guy for guys (which I am not). It is filled with wise-cracking, sexual innuendos and encounters, alcohol, lots of slang, sport references and all kinds of weird analogies and metaphors—some of which went over my head. Too many times …
This was a great read!!!
I enjoyed this book even though the author says it is his earliest work and not as “polished,” perhaps, as later works. I haven’t read any others…yet. But I will. His protagonist is a bit of a rebel against authority (even though he IS authority). I enjoyed the page-turning action accompanied by wry humor and wit.
Loved it
Edge of your seat!
an exciting read with lots of twists and turns. It kept me guessing until the end.
Enjoyed the different structure of the story.
Good author. As a matter of fact I’ve read all his books and would highly recommend. This is just not his best in my opinion
One of the first Nick Pirog books that I ever read. From there I had to read everything else, glad I did. Now I am just waiting on whatever he releases next.
This was a good read that kept my attention. Thought I had it figured out several times, but didn’t.
Could not connect with the principal character who is a jerk and his and the author’s attempts at humor fall flat. Gave up after 20 pages. Waste of time.
I highly recommend this book.
Do you like to read something and figure out who did what?
Well then this is the book for you.
There were times when I was sure that I knew what was going on—and then surprise there is a twist that I did not see coming.
There are some sad parts in the book and some gory descriptions – so be ready for them.
I was instantly hooked by the main character Thomas Prescott and glad to know there are more in this series!
Slow, boring
