This was the first book of Nick Pirog’s that I ever read. I was immediately hooked on his writing style and his character development. Thomas Prescott, the main character, is snarky, sarcastic, and brilliant. Since I’m often accused of being snarky & sarcastic (alas, not accused of being brilliant lol) I instantly fell head over heels for …
All of his books are wonderful…i couldn’t put them down! My new favorite author!!
Love everything Pirog writes!
Great read
I believe this one tells the story of Nick Pirog’s career and what he went through to even HAVE a writing career. It was very interesting and informative to me and answered a few questions I have had about authors and their books. Actually, anything Nick writes is interesting, though! I’m pretty sure I have read everything from him!
I’ve read this twice, and just finished it a 3rd time. This author is fantastic.
Excellent book,would definitely recommend this
Truly a mystery that will have you wondering and wishing for a quick solution to unthinkable murders.
Very good writing. Fast moving. The end was a little rushed but overall really liked it.
Another great who done it…right up there as a best read!
I really enjoyed the quirky lead character in this book. The storyline is very engaging making this book hard to put down. The tragic murders by someone who is supposedly dead creates mystery from the very beginning of the book. Add to that characters you aren’t sure if you like or not, all seen through the mind (eyes) of a smart a- -, uh …
Great Read
I read Unforeseen and Gray Matter out of order so it took away a little from Unforeseen. I would have enjoyed it more and it would have been more suspenseful it I hadn’t done that. Lots of action and like Gray Matter very funny for a novel of this genre. I highly reccomend it.
A great crime novel, where you are trying to figure out what’s going on right along with the characters. There is enough story aside from the plot crime to keep you interested throughout the whole book.
What’s not to like about Thomas. He’s a guy’s guy, gets the dames, shoots from the hip both literally and figuratively. Even though his detective career has dealt him undignified deaths, his wit it cynically comical of the laugh out loud kind. Love this character. Love this AUTHOR! Looking forward to more. Be sure to read 3am series!!
Not a bad read. Plenty of plot twists. I actually listened to this on an audio book.
At first I thought I didn’t like it but I quickly changed my mind.
Fun and fast moving. Good characters
Disappointing only managed to get half way through and gave up
The author was trying to be too ‘Mickey Spalliane’, too smart mouthed, contrary Mr. Tough Guy. There were too many killing gruesome killings. You get the idea soon enough without so many. I couldn’t wait to finish the book, not because it was such a good read, but just to get it over.
