Q & A with the Author
Q – How would you describe Treasure Hunter Security?
A – Treasure hunting Navy SEAL style! I like to call this my Indiana Jones romance series. All the books star tough, sexy former Navy SEALs who now work for Treasure Hunter Security. Dangerous archeological digs – no problem. Daring expeditions – sure thing. Museum security for invaluable exhibits – easy. Each book has a fast, fun thrill-ride adventure set in some exciting locales.
Q – Why did you want to write the series?
A – I love action, adventure and romance. I have also always been a huge fan of ancient history. In Treasure Hunter Security, I get to combine my passions: action, adventure, sexy romance and some real-life history, myths and legends. I do *a lot* of research for these books. Each story explores some ancient myth or legendary treasure and takes us to something thrilling locations: from the desert sands of Egypt to the dense jungles of Cambodia to the cloud forests of the Andes.
Q – What order should I read the books in?
A – All the Treasure Hunter Security books are stand-alone adventures. However, characters from the early stories do appear in later books, and there is a slight overarching story with the black-market antiquities thieves our heroes face. So I think it adds something to the reading experience to read them in order. Here’s the order I suggest:
Treasure Hunter Security
Book 1 – Undiscovered (Declan and Layne’s story)
Book 2 – Uncharted (Callum and Dani’s story)
Book 3 – Unexplored (Logan and Sydney’s story)
Book 4 – Unfathomed (Morgan and Zach’s story)
Book 5 – Untraveled (Hale and Elin’s story)
Book 6 – Unmapped (Ronin and Peri’s story)
Book 7 – Unidentified (novella duo)
Book 8 – Undetected (Darcy and Agent Burke’s story)

Dr. Zachariah James hires Treasure Hunter Security to help with finding a lost shipwreck filled with treasure. Zach finds himself attracted to dangerous and beautiful Morgan Kincaid from the first time he saw her. But will she let her walls down enough for him to get to know her.
I love this series because of all the fascinating archaeological sites they visit. I really wanted to be an archaeologist and love learning about new discoveries. This particular book involves underwater archaeology. I have never dived or anything but I find the idea of underwater archaeology to be fascinating.
Zach was fun, charming, and extremely smart. His past is filled with pain but he used that to push himself to be a better person and pursue his passion. He respected Morgan and her abilities from the beginning and never tries to put her down. I loved that about him. I have been curious about Morgan since the beginning, since she was this tough woman who made it through Navy SEAL training. I quite enjoyed seeing these two get to know each other, and fall in love.
Things are definitely heating up with Silk Road. I can’t wait to see THS and the FBI work together to bring down Silk Road, especially the interactions between Darcy and her favorite FBI agent.
I love all the exciting, action packed adventure in the Treasure Hunter Security series! This fourth book takes us on an underwater adventure off the coast of Madagascar, with Morgan and Zach. Morgan is an ex Navy SEAL who continues her adventures working for Treasure Hunter Security. She is on the team protecting Dr. Zachariah James and his crew on his quest to find a long-lost shipwreck filled with exciting history, and treasure. Zach is falling for the tough, prickly, and soft hearted Morgan. Morgan is drawn to the nerdy, passionate archaeologist but is afraid to risk her heart. When the antiquities thieves, Silk Road, become involved, they are in a race to find the ship before all is lost, including their lives. This was a breathtaking adventure with intriguing legends and history that kept me totally captivated from the very beginning. I loved Zach and Morgan, they were drawn to each others strengths, made a great team, and their chemistry was on fire! It was fun catching up with the rest of the Treasure Hunter Security team as well as learning more about Silk Road.
Stella Bloom’s fabulous narration continues to make us feel like we are right there in the middle of all the action! She delivers all the excitement, emotion, wit, and steam, bringing these characters and story to life, beautifully. This was so much fun, I can’t wait to listen to the next books in Treasure Hunter Security series!
Love this one!! So much action! Love the characters. Its a different take as its Morgan (the female) who is the tough one and Zach seems like a needy guy but secretly he is strong as well. I enjoyed so much about this book. Its different (a small bit) from this authors normal storyline which I liked. Also who are those guys in black? Stella Bloom did a wonderful job on narration.
This one has been my favorite so far.

I love quick fixes to cheer me up in normal circunstances. So now that we must be isolated at home during who knows how long, a quick reading that pumps all the enjoyment muscles is more than welcome. In that front, Anna Hackett’s Treasure Hunter Security saga always delivers. Many people may think that writing this kind of book is easy and unremarkable, but doing it like Anna does… I call that mastery! Let’s see which crazy treasure we are about to unearth!
This time the main character is Morgan, the fearless woman and ex-solder that now works for Treasure Hunter Security. She doesn’t trust easily and the fact that she tends to scare most men has made her believe that love is kind of a myth. So, who better than a myth hunter to tame her wild heart? Zach is a young archeologist with dashing looks and unrelenting charm that wants to get in Morgan’s good side since the first moment they met. What better to achieve that goal than hiring THS to provide security for his next dive?
No rest for the wicked or, better said, no rest for the reader. Not a single dull moment in this book. In every chapter, somekind of action scene is taking place. It doens’t matter is if a mission to test the security of a museum, a dangerous dive in Madagascar or a chase through ancient temples of forgotten people. Adrenaline runs wild in this book, which makes the story a very easy-to-read one and with a great enjoyment value. Does it follow the same pattern as previous books? Yes, it is pretty similar in several aspects to other books of this saga. Does that make it repetitive and tedious? Not at all. It is what it works and what Anna does best, so no problem there.
As in all my previous reviews of this saga, I must mention the thing that makes these books much more special: those little bits of cultural knowledge about ancient kingdoms. This time, apart from learning a little bit about Madagascar, we are presented with a bunch of facts about Constantine Phaulkon. Yes, the author throws a bit of fiction over his life, but she does it in a way where she gets to teach the reader some real fun facts about the historical character. As I said other times, this saga is a Trivial Pursuit training in disguise!
Nothing noteworthy about the character. Morgan and Zach fill the roles they are giving quite nicely, but they won’t leave a permanent dent in the reader’s memory. I enjoyed quite a lot that Morgan resists Zach’s charm for the most part, which makes the archeologist to up his game. I have to admit that reading him courting the hard as nails ex-soldier has been a great time killer. Even though the initial hesitance, the romance happens quite fast (it is not a long book, so…). But I wouldn’t consider it far-fetched in that field. More unbelievable is Zach’s mighty stamina, which is quite average for the genre, though. Their first round of naughty encounters is extremly weird. They were supposed to be hidden and as silent as possible, so several bursts of monkey sex don’t seem the most stealthy tactic; but how could I know? Maybe they did that to create an awkward situation for the bad guys and get more time for the rescue to appear. No one wants to step in the middle of such display of hormonal need…
So far, this saga hasn’t let me down in any of its stories. I will gladly add the next one to my TBR list. I’m changing my reading tactic this year in order to avoid starting sagas and forgetting about them during years. My goal is starting as few as possible and finish the ones I have already begun by reading at least one of their books every couple of months. We will see if I can keep my word…
Its time for Warrior Woman Extraordinaire, Morgan, to find her own HEA. She maybe former Navy Intel, have completed BUDS training (but not allowed to join cos she has the “wrong equipment”) but Morgan still comes across as a woman I can relate to. She is sassy, fearless, intelligent and even under that tough girl facade, vulnerable. The men she works with know she has their back in a fight and their womenfolk lover her to bits.
But on the dating front she has not been so lucky. She is a serial first dater and she admits that she generally scares off guys with her abilities. She may be jealous that her friends are finding love, even McGrumpypants Logan, but not even on fear of torture would she admit it to herself!
Zach James is not what she is expecting. As a Colleague of Dec, Cal and Darcy’s father, she expected a well groomed, older academic. Not a hard bodied, sex on a stick, Indiana Jones type! When she outwits him whilst testing the security for one of his artefacts, Zach hires THS to protect a Marine dig he has in the pipeline. But can he survive his attraction to Morgan as they try to keep their scorching chemistry strictly professional? Will Silk Road once again cause murder and mayhem to follow in their footsteps?
I am so loving this series, meshes my love for Indiana Jones and Spy movies with scorching romance so well! The characters are all very different even though sharing a love of archaeology and/or history. The girls don’t simper and the boys are Alpha to the core but without the overbearing cockiness (which is a real fine art!) . The timeline zips by, adding to the tense plot and the banter as usual is just so family-like between the crew and between Morgan and Zach it remains very Hepburn-Tracy like which I love. I cannot wait to see what happens next!
