Three years later and I’m ready for more than just a one-night stand.
But will he break the bro-code for me?

Talk about a mess. She goes on a vacation for awhile for several reasons most of which are personal. She meets someone along the way and has her first one night stand. She goes home as her dad is bad. The family unit is not all getting along. She has four brothers who are over protective. She lives with one and his buddy comes to move in only to find out this guy is her one night stand. Well rather than face the wrath of her brothers they keep it quiet as long as they can. But attraction and love wins out most of the time. I recommend it. I enjoyed it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Best Kept Secret
A twist in this novel pulls you into the story of Caleb & Sadie. They hook up, not knowing the connection with her brother. They keep it a secret from others & squash their feelings. Sadie doesn’t give up getting to the bottom of another deep dark secret within her family circle & Caleb finds out what it is if it’s the last thing he does for her. It’s a well-written & emotional story.
I volunteered to read this ARC & leave an honest review.
It took me a bit to really get into this one. I just wasn’t connecting with the characters. BUT I am not going to deduct for that as it might have been an issue not related to the book!
It was a nice ending to the family story and worth reading to see the twists and outcome!
Several years ago, Caleb was Sadie’s first – one night on a beach in Maui – a one-night stand. He gets out of the service, and comes to Chicago with Miles (Sadie’s brother) to begin a business venture, and they’re all staying in the same apartment. Caleb wants to not want Sadie, but he’s making himself miserable. Sadie wants to want Caleb, but she thinks he runs hot and cold, so she pulls back. What’s the big family secret that everyone’s keeping from Sadie? Caleb finds out, has a blowout with Miles, and makes a fast exit from everyone’s life. This book seemed like it took forever to get going. But I really liked the story, and there was the HEA that I’d hoped for.

4.0 out of 5 starsThe pain of falling in love!
10 June 2019
Format: Kindle Edition
I finished this book angry that family think they have the right to control who you can be with or who you can love. I enjoyed this book but wished that the pain that both Sadie and Caleb suffered could have been avoided. When love or attraction is there the only people that matter in the long run is the two people themselves. I loved their happy ending with all the characters lives now filled with happiness and joy.

Sadie and Caleb meet one late night in Hawaii. Three years later they meet again, in Chicago.
Is this the way it’s going to be?
A lot happens in Chicago and Sadie leaves for Australia, to get away from everything, to the place that felt like home.
Third time Sadie and Caleb meets, is in Sydney, but this time they will never leave each other again.
It was a lovely story, at the same time as it was heartbreaking. So much sorrow with her brothers and their father. It was nice to meet the Denton family again – brothers and their wifes.

Unexpected Roommate by Suzanne Hart
Sadie was in Maui when she sees a very attractive man running on the beach. That night she goes out to a bar and runs into that same man. One very steamy night on the beach with Caleb and she’s not a virgin anymore. Caleb was in Maui for his mother’s wedding and had a one night stand with his future step sister but he didn’t know who Julie was at the time. Three years later Sadie comes home to Chicago and moves in with her brother Miles. This is a great story and I got pulled in from the beginning till the end. This book made me cry so many times. It is just a beautiful heart pulling story and I will re-read this again. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.
Sadie and Caleb met three years ago in Hawaii and had a one night stand unbeknownst to them Caleb and Sadie’s brother Miles were best friends. Fast forward three years, Caleb comes to Chicago to work with Miles and sees Sadie on the other side of the door.
Sadie and Caleb try to function in this new hands off life. Never thinking they’d ever see each other again but knowing they never want to be apart. Can they navigate a future together or will the Denton brothers have something to say about it?
Sadie is tired of being thought of as the fragile little sister and wants to know what her family has been keeping from her. After a sudden death turns the family around again, she turns to the only person she feels can help her, Caleb.
I enjoyed Sadie and Caleb’s story, seeing them thrust into a new normal was entertaining. I did not enjoy the character of Caleb’s mother or his stalker ex in Hawaii. Those 2 women didn’t resonate with me at all and I felt the story lacked a little with their inclusion. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy.
After reading the last page, I put my Kindle down and sat there for a while. I really didn’t know what to write.
I wanted to like this book. I really did, but I didn’t like it at all. Caleb was aloof and seemed unhappy. Sadie seemed to be flighty and unhappy. Even their sexual encounters seemed to end in a note of distress.
Let us not forget Caleb’s stalkers one night stand and his selfish, self absorbed mother.
Sadie’s father and brothers were keeping a major secret from her. Her brother Miles, who was also Caleb’s best friend, had some kind of issue with a woman that was never really explained. Also, it was completely weird for Caleb and Miles to be best friends and not know anything about each other’s lives outside of being Marines.. I guess that was enough for them.
I also thought Miles was irrationally angry about something that occurred years ago that was an unexpected encounter. Even if I could understand him being mad at Caleb, I could not fathom why he was mad at Sadie. I didn’t like the way her brother’s treated her. Hell, I didn’t like the way Caleb treated her.
This was not a happy, happy feel good romance. There was so much anger, anxiety, and unhappiness throughout this book, by the time I got to the HEA, I could not generate any good feelings. I didn’t care. I was glad it was over.
I would highly suggest that you read this book and judge for yourself. It just did not come close to being what I expected, but it may work for you.

Sadie comes home to stay after traveling for awhile and is staying with her brother and his room mate. When she arrives she is stunned when his room mate turns out to be a one night stand she had when she was traveling. Caleb is shocked when he sees Sadie and the attraction he felt for her is still there but they agreed they needed to forget about it because of her brother Miles. Sadie is dealing with a lot of family issues and is drawn to Caleb before long she gives in to temptation. Can Sadie and Caleb be together?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Third time’s the charm
Unexpected Roommate by Suzanne Hart is the forth book in her Turning Good Series and Sadie finally gets her story told. And what a story to tell. It’s chock full of emotion even though she’s tried hard to avoid all that drama. Caleb is much like her but for very different reasons. I found both of these characters very interesting and engaging in that I became invested in their outcome. After all the heartbreak, drama and hurt, peace and love was much needed and greatly deserved.
I really enjoyed the plot of this book and seeing all the characters through to stronger, healthier and more deeply connected relationships. I was really glad for Sadie when all was said and done.
Overall, a well written book and a wonderful conclusion/resolution for the Denton family and especially Sadie and Caleb’s HEA.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
This was overall a good story and enjoyable. It had a few moments when my attention was not fully on the book but I still enjoyed reading this. It had a decent storyline and characters. Not a bad read.
Three years ago Caleb managed to destroy just about everything he was dealing with his mothers issues and his stepsister who had a obsession with him but the stupidest thing he did was to sleep with his best friends little sister If Miles ever found out he would Kill him. Sadie left shortly after to travel the world but now she has returned and she is stunned when she opens the family door to find Caleb on the doorstep The attraction is still there between them but do two damaged people have a chance at a future together You will have you read to see
Caleb and Sadie’s story is a continuation of four siblings story of heartbreak, anger, second chances, and closure. Sadie is the youngest and her brothers have tried to shield her from the family secret. Caleb is a man who made mistakes but Sadie isn’t one of them. Family and circumstances are trying to keep them apart. This is a great series although each book is standalone. I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily leave a review.
