Will being the drummer with the Lover Boys, was stoked to do a surprise show. He’s acting was at a super high until the last Quicksilver tanked in not a good way. Introduce Sam and the chemistry was off the charts. Noah got Sam to talk to Will and make sure he wasn’t off on binges and doing no good for his reputation. However they came to a conclusion and started an Indie movie. Lets say from there the rockets were in the air and the both get the HEA.

I found myself unable to get lost in the story. I enjoy most of her books, but this one never grabbed my attention.
I loved this book from start to finish. I have not been disappointed with anything from Aubrey Wright. A must read.

This was a sensational friends-to-lovers story. Will is a movie star who rediscovers his passion for being a screen writer following a disastrous movie flop. Sam is an independent theater owner who discovers her love for directing. When Sam and Will meet at a movie premiere the attraction and chemistry is off the chars and they begin a friendship while making a movie in order to salvage their careers. However when a friendship blossoms into something more, will they be able to find happiness when others are attempting to separate them? Unexpected Lover is a captivating must read romantic story with so much heart from Aubrey Wright. I absolutely loved reading this book.

Enjoyable from beginning to end. Will is quite the movie star but his latest movie is a bomb. Sam owns a movie theater and wants to be a director. She knows Will and his friends with his friends. They send her to help Will out of the rabbit hole he has himself in since his movie bombed. These two get together and decide to do a movie that he wrote. But will things work out for them? Will the movie be successful? Will these two get together or will someone come between them? I enjoyed this one. It was a great storyline from beginning to end with two great characters who have amazing chemistry.
Great storytelling with a dose of scheming – sweet, romantic and not so obvious ending
This story is a mix of several tropes from the romance genre and I really liked it. This technique added another dimension to the story. The plot was very well thought through and with unexpected twists and turns kept me as a reader interested and didn’t allow me to put the book down. Characters were very likeable and it was easy for me to relate to what they were going through. I hope there will be more from the “Lover Boys” universe to read about.
I really liked that the story was built around issue that a lot of us could experience in the real life, that we are often pigeonholed, either in our professional career or in private life. The longer we are stuck in such situation the harder it is to break out of that. We should be able to do what we were dreaming of doing and be happy and successful. Often times in pursuit of success especially lead by the others we forget what is most important for us and that we should feel good with ourselves and not to be afraid to give our dreams a chance to become true. Great, moving read with a lot of romance and hotness. There are some villains and very well measured dose of manipulation and intrigue that got me guessing what will happen next and who is “good and bad guy”.
Aubrey Wright’s Unexpected Lover is expectedly superb. I loved Sam and Will’s story, about the power of love, the power of passion, whether towards romance or anything else, and the ability to reinvent oneself in the face of failures. Pretty heady stuff and perfectly presented. No surprise that I highly recommend it.
What a unexpected delight to read. Aubrey Wright created a wonderful romance story of Sam and Will that was more than love. It is the desire to follow your dreams, no matter what other say or believe.
Sam and Will’s belief in each other dream help each other achieve them as they become closer to each other.
I enjoyed the story and kept turn in the page wanting to know what happen next. My emotions going up and down with the twist and turns.

Sam owns a falling movie theater that was her dream. Will’s second career is not doing well due to one terrible movie. They get some downtime (and some fun sexy time) and decide to make a movie together. Lots of outside drama too, especially caused by Will’s agent. Entertaining read.
Beautiful love story with lots of drama.
Another fantastic book from Aubrey Wright that I just couldn’t put down. Its a wonderful story with great characters. Sam & Will are both at a low point, Will after his last film being a flop & Sam could lose her failing theatre. However, after comforting each other they find they have more in common than they expected on the form of a script Will wrote on his teens but his agent is adamrnt he gets back into Hollywood films seeing that this will not happen she set out to ruin everything. You can’t stop reading desperate to know if she succeeds or if love is stronger.

Sam and will meet and form a connection when both are at a crossroad in their lives.
Will is a former rock star and now and action movie star. Sam has invested everything into her small theater that is on the brink of closing despite her best efforts and dedication.
They meet through mutual best friends and connect at Wills latest movie which is probably going to bomb. They decide to have a professional relationship. Yet their attraction and connection make keeping it professional difficult add some Hollywood drama and the stage is set for a drama.
Great story and series. Wonderful characters and dialogue.

Sam, a theatre owner and Will a movie star. What a combination.
Connect that with a director to be – Sam – and a script – made by Will – you get a perfect start. The small thing that they love each other, even if there were some bumps on the road, makes the story even better.
I enjoyed this story and the description of the characters. It almost felt like I knew them.

Aubrey Wright has written another great book! This one is about Will, at the top of his stardom, and Sam, living her dream of being a theater owner. However, both get a wake-up call when their dreams and careers take a nosedive. They become each other’s saving grace. The only thing I wish for this book was that the main characters could have more of a build-up of sexual tension. I wanted to feel their attraction, not just read that they have it. I loved the interaction between the characters and how they encouraged each other’s niche. Their love of old movies helped their bond with each other. When reading this book I kept envisioning a Hallmark movie. This book would make a great, steamy, yet sweet, in my opinion, movie.

This book is simply amazing! Sam and Will are amazing characters who meet through friends, find common ground and interests and pull each other up from the bottom. Will is an actor who’s latest superhero movie turns out to be a flop when the new director takes the film in a whole new direction. Sam owns a local movie theater that is struggling to stay afloat. They’ve met before as her friend Pepper is engaged to his friend Noah. When Will’s agent tells him he needs to lay low for a while after his movie flops, he finds himself trying to drink the disappointment away. Enter Sam. Noah and Pepper ask her to check up on him as they see he is starting to spiral out of control and everyone is worried. She agrees and the two really hit it off. One night of passion at his house has her finding a screenplay he wrote years ago on a shelf and he demands she let him read it. She loves it and thinks he really should give it go. Having seen her movies that she directed in college, he’s on board with her to make it. He finds he is also falling for her but his agent steps in. She wants him to get back to the big movies that make her big money and has Olivia, the actress she supplies for the lead female role, try to seduce him and drum up press. Sam, who has been falling for Will too, catches Olivia kissing Will and refuses to let him explain that he wanted no part of it. When the truth of what he agent has done is finally revealed, he fires her and when the movie premieres at Sam’s theater, he finally gets the chance to explain and finds himself back in Sam’s arms.

This is the story of Sam and Will. As usual with Ms Wright this book does not disappoint. I loved Sam and Will, they had a realness and believability to them that anyone could relate to. The chemistry between them is amazing. There is just enough drama, twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. Great read.

I’m not sure how many ways I can find to say this next part, I absolutely loved this story!
This book has a very solid story line. It is a bit different from a lot of the others I’ve read lately. It was great as it usually is if you’re reading something written by Audrey Wright. But for some reason this book really seems better than most.
The story is so compelling and so very real, the characters so vivid and well thought out that I was engrossed from the first page through the very last.
The problem? It ended. I wasn’t ready for it to end. I wanted the story to continue and follow the characters further into their lives—hint hint Aubrey Wright. For me that’s the sign of a great book… the need for more.
The storyline of this book is really good. I am not quite finished. I like that it is not jammed with sex and inane content page after page. I am curious to see whether Sam and Will actually become open about their blossoming relationship. His agent, Marla, sounds suspicious, and I am sure that she planted the lead actress in their movie to spy on them. I will finish the book today but so far I like it VERY MUCH. UPDATE: I finished the ARC copy of this book and was very impressed. I am glad that it had a happy ending and their movie was a success. Sam and Will were very much in love and they had wonderful future in front of them.

This is a well written, passionate, and interesting read! The storyline is well developed, emotionally deep, flows smoothly, and is quite engaging. There are unexpected twists, ups and downs, drama, angst, and characters that are likeable and perfect for each other; the chemistry between them is undeniable and steamy. Definitely recommended.

We have drama. Will is into making films, but his latest is a flop. Same is a theater owner who is struggling to keep it open. Can they help each other? Can they have their own dreams? Or will drama get in the way?
