Natasha Madison, what can I say other than you have completely taken my breath away. I absolutely loved Crystal and Gabe’s story.
Crystal….What a fire cracker. Smart, sassy and a little minx and I fell in love with her instantly.
Gabe….Lordy what a guy. Smart, successful and so easily riled…..It’s hilarious.
And these guys together….Imperfectly perfect.
A beautifully written, thought provoking, heartbreaking, soul crushing, breathtaking, sinfully delicious read that left me wanting more.
These guys rocked my world and I will miss them dearly.
A read that will stay with me always.
5 stars.
Unexpected Love Story by Natasha Madison was such a feel good book. This book brought out all of the emotions that you can experience. I couldn’t put my kindle down until I could finish reading this great love story. This was my first time reading a book by Natasha Madison and it certainly won’t be my last.
The story starts off by giving you a glimpse into the life of Crystal while she was in nursing school and she found out what she thought was bad news about her health. The story also gives Gabe’s back story when he was stood up at the altar by Bethany, which was his fiancée at the time. Crystal and Gabe meet each other and sparks immediately begin to fly and they share a night of passion together.
Crystal and Gabe see each again for the first time since their night together when Gabe’s father hires Crystal as their new nurse after one of the nurses left the practice. Crystal made the move with her cousin who she was close to from the city to the country setting. Do Crystal and Gabe find happily ever after? Do they finally heal each other? You will have to read Unexpected Love Story to find out.
Unexpected Love story has all the elements that you would look for in a romance novel. It has romance, a little suspense, and a lot of hot sex. I learned from reading this story to get a second opinion about your health and miracles do happen. I so enjoyed reading this book so much. This book had the true meaning of love and standing by your love.
This book!! I picked it up to read the first chapter once I’d dropped my kids at school. Four hours later I finished Unexpected Love Story. I didn’t put this book down once.
Crystal is the bestest friend a girl could ask for. After her best friend/ cousins life is ripped apart, Crystal packs up, gets a new job and moves to a different town so she can be there for Hailey. She’s not expecting her new boss to be the one night stand that blew her mind nor is she expecting the intense chemistry between them. I loved Crystal. She’s extremely easy to like. Instead of wallowing when she gets devastating news, she puts it behind her and throws herself into her work.
Sexy doctor Gabe has recently had his heart broken so all he’s looking for on a weekend away is one night with the gorgeous woman who he can’t keep his eyes off. When the same woman turns out to be his new nurse he knows he has to stay away but that’s easier said than done.
This book has everything a romance should have. Gabe is the perfect book boyfriend, Crystal is the woman everyone wants as a friend, the chemistry between them is hard to ignore and there’s a genuine, deeper connection between them that will melt the hardest of hearts.
REVIEW: 4.5 STARS
“With Crystal, I know I won’t let her live without me.”
SO, after meeting Crystal and Gabe in Perfect Love Story, I couldn’t even begin to imagine what the source of all their volatility was. There was so much contention between them that my curiosity was that much more piqued going into this one, and I wanted to know the why of all of it! However, having read this one now, looking back, all I can say now is HA! HA! HA! Madison did such a good job making me smile throughout this entire story. And yet again, I am completely in love with another set of characters, both individually and part of a series. I liked how she incorporated them all in each story, but also gave them their own voices. I really liked this one.
I think it’s important to note that this one was written as a standalone, but if you read it, you will know the entire first story, so I would recommend reading them in order if you don’t want to ruin the first book. I know I am that type of crazy reader that has to read in order, but if you do read this one, just know you will have the entire backstory of book one because Crystal and Gabe are an integral part of Hailey and Jenson’s story. Having said that, I loved the back and forth we had in the very beginning of this book – the proverbial trip down memory lane to catch us up on all things Crystal and Gabe. Obviously we saw book one in Hailey’s POV, but being able to relive it from Crystal’s POV gave me a little more of an in-depth look at all the emotions swirling around on that fateful day. I loved seeing that aspect. I loved feeling the pain from another perspective. And I loved how Crystal is the kind of friend we all desperately need in our lives. I really liked this story so much!
“I can’t breathe without her.”
I know sometimes you find a book or a storyline by an author that just takes you by surprise and it’s so out of your norm that you have to tell everyone. This series, so far, is gonna be that one for me. I haven’t read Natasha Madison until now, but I can honestly say that I am truly enjoying this series and all the characters. Yes, I know the tagline originally sucked me in, but this normally wouldn’t be a writing style I would shout about. It’s very different than what I would normally read. I don’t want to undermine her ability to tell a story, because clearly she can and it’s why I keep coming back, but her storytelling is a basic layout of exactly how everything happened – a no frills, fast paced storytelling that I can appreciate. But, it made for a very entertaining read. It was just that good for me. I connected. It resonated. It worked. I really liked this one!!
Once again; SO FREAKING EASY to read! I was genuinely giddy and excited while reading this one. Natasha’s voice is fresh, her story reads complete and fun, and I’m addicted to the energy her writing evokes. It was just one of those books that I could fall into and wonder where the time went; completely caught up in it. I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times, and I may have even shed a tear with the jaunt down memory lane, but overall, this is my favorite book in the series so far. Interestingly enough, I feel the setup for the third book was a notion planted in the very beginning of this one, so by the time I got to the end, I seriously high-fived myself for knowing where it was going! HAHAHA! I am excited for Broken Love Story now!!! And if you haven’t figured it out by now, I am admitting that I really liked this one. Like….really.
“Tonight you’re coming home with me, and we are going to fuck each other out of our systems.”

These stories just keep getting better and better. Not only do they provide a great connection between all of the characters that genuinely makes you want to be these people’s next door neighbor, but somehow Natasha can create butterflies and heat for the reader when her main characters start falling…and fall they do!
Gabe and Crystal both have some big issues, she has a secret that we learn about in the prologue, and he gets left at the alter (we learn that in the last book). They meet and have an amazing night, never expecting to see each other again.
Oh, but they do, as fate would have it. I love their relationship….a bit quirky…a LOT hot…and a whole lot pure.
Fantastic read AGAIN..and I can’t wait for the next one!
5 So Did Not See That Coming stars!!!!
I couldn’t wait for Gabe and Crystal’s story, the glimpses we got of them in book one were fabulous, and their story was so worth the wait!
These two made me cry, laugh and swoon, sometimes all at the same time lol… I thought I had their story all figured out, I thought I was just going to fly through to their happy, but sexy ending, I thought this story was going to pick up where book one ended…. I thought, being the key words here folks. Ms. Madison had other plans for us though! Such beautiful, heartbreaking, swoonworthy plans for us….
I love how one man, albeit a man none of us really likes by the end of book one, but still one man and his deception brings all these other amazing people together. Maybe, just maybe, there was a greater good in his deception that none of us could accept, until we can…… There is so much story packed in these pages, so many different views of what we already know, but yet we knew nothing going in lol….. You are just going to have to read it to see it lol..
Yes, this story can totally be read as a stand alone novel, but I wouldn’t recommend it, it will be much more enjoyed if you read these books one after the other….. I highly recommend taking the ride the way it was intended. I cannot wait for book three, even though I think I got it all figured out, there isn’t a doubt in my mind Ms. Madison has other plans for us!!!!
This phenomenal story stole my breathe! Crystal and Gabe will make you laugh and fall in love. I loved Crystal’s fiery spirit and stubbornness. She definitely keeps Gabe on his toes. She wasn’t looking for love but she found her dream.
Gabe was a man scorned. He never wanted to fall in love again. Crystal came in and he got his unexpected dream come true.
I am loving this series so much and I absolutely can’t wait for the next book !
I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!
Gabe and Crystal are so amazing together!! This story has all the feels – I laughed and cried a lot while reading this one! It is one of my new favorite series! I love how this story is taking place at the same time as Hailey and Jesen’s story – it just added a little bit more for me.
There are parts of this book that ripped my heart apart, but it was so worth it to me!! LOVED!!
HUGE FIVE STARS!!
I finished this book in a couple hours, devouring every sentence, every page Natasha gifted the world with, until it was over and I was crying happy tears. The way she weaved this story, not only as a standalone, but also how she connected Perfect Love Story and Unexpected Love Story. Now, I know I’m a big cry baby; I get really emotionally attached to characters and books and movies, and basically everything. So, I prepared for this book. What did Natasha say? “It’s not that bad.” Actually it was in all caps, but you get the picture.
Well, it was that bad. I have four pieces of evidence that I showed her, and I would show you, but I don’t want to give the book away. There were parts I was bawling for, and parts I was laughing hysterically over. Gabe and Crystal’s relationship was the best game of cat and mouse I’ve ever read, and I never wanted it to end, ever. She had two people who swore they would never love again, find love unexpectedly (PUN INTENDED), and embrace it with everything inside of them. They had their own demons to fight, their own battles to face, but it made them individually stronger, and their bond grow.
One thing that Natasha did that I absolutely adored was that she took the thing I hate the most in romance, and made it something beautiful. I hate, hate, hate when a girl or a guy pushes away love because “they refuse to find love” or whatever. They come up with some ridiculous reasons why they don’t want love, and they end up just making me mad or I want to strangle them. Occasionally, I find a character that I just want to strangle, but know their reasoning so I get why they don’t want love and think they can just turn that part of their brain off. Natasha Madison made me fall in love with Crystal, despite her thinking she could get away with a fling with Gabe.
She has her reasons, reasons I won’t give away, because I’m not a spoiler in case you haven’t read Perfect yet, or any other reason. Just know: her reasons are totally valid. She is fun, not annoying. She’s strong, independent, determined to be happy for others. She gave up her dreams, but isn’t living in the dark and hating life. She’s trying to make the best of her life, and all the while, I wanted to hug her close and tell her it’d all be alright.
And Gabe, GABE, who I love, is so freaking sweet, sometimes he’s a grumpapotamus, and he’s sworn off love too. He’s got totally valid reasons for it, but meeting Crystal, getting to know her, changes that. And he weasels his way into her life, into her bed, and into her heart. He’s not afraid to tell Crystal exactly how he feels, and he’s not afraid to make sure she’s not going anywhere. His alpha-machoness made me want to jump into his arms and tell him to forget about Crystal, but also realize that they’re perfect together. I tend to claim a lot of book boyfriends that are twisted and dark, but I am CLAIMING GABE for everyone to see.
Before I write more gushing about the amazing story, it’s best you just go read Perfect Love Story and then read Unexpected when it comes out. See how these two tales come together, giving you a bigger picture of what was going on as a whole, while also giving you an amazing love story. Me? I’m going to be waiting for Broken Love Story to come out, and stalk up on ice cream until I can get my hands on it.
TL;DR: Gabe is mine, and you need this book.
OMG this was such an amazing and emotional read!! And that was totally not unexpected given it was written by Natasha Madison who can write the heck out of a story!! I love Gabe & Crystal so much and have been interested in their story since meeting them in Perfect Love Story. We get to see what happened to Hailey in Perfect Love Story through Crystal’s eyes and that gave some nice added insight. So even though this can be read as a stand alone, I would read in order because first of all, the books are amazing so you should read them all, but secondly the characters from the first are also in this book and everything will just make more sense.
Gabe has been burned by his last relationship he is not interested in another. Crystal has been harboring a devastating truth for years that has kept her as far away from love as possible. Their initial meeting, as Jane Doe and John Doe, very fitting for a nurse and doctor, was combustible and turns into a fiery hot one night stand that lasts all night long, but that was all it was supposed to be. Until they see each other again, and have to work together. Their chemistry is crazy hot and they drive each other crazy which is just so much fun as a reader. They want each other but are both so hesitant to want more after their past experiences. I adore their story and love them together!!
This is a must read about a couple who are absolutely perfect for each other and will make you feel everything and make you laugh, cry, and even blush. Follow their journey as they find out what it feels like to be unexpectedly thrown into the path of the love of your life who is meant to be yours forever.
Another fantastically awesome read in this series that I love so much! I cannot wait for Blake’s book next!!
This is the second book in the Love series, It can be read as a stand alone the author completely recapped the first book and told us how Crystal was feeling during Halley’s devastating loss and betrayal. Crystal and Gabe are very involved in the first book, so we already know that their relationship is volatile with an underlining of lust toward one another, These two where fighting non stop in the first book, and we find out about all the situations in there book. Crystal is the new nurse at Gabe’s family practice. Crystal is a no nonsense kinda chick who speaks her mind and is great at her job and she and Gabe are lot like fire and gasoline, together they are combustible. These two are either fighting or that other f word. Lets scratch an itch turns into months of itching and feeling get involved, Crystal can’t and won’t committed due to her health issues. Gabe ain’t giving up. Lets no forget some crazy person destroying all of Gabe’s property .
I really liked this book, maybe because their was so much fighting and hostile attitude toward on another in the first I thought this read would be more intense than what it was. I love Crystal and Gabe I feel like I was missing some of the angst. Ready for book 3 I think (I ain’t to sure about who Blake hooks up with).
Unexpected Love Story by Natasha Madison is the second story in the Love Series and I could not wait for this story to be released, as I loved Perfect Love Story where we first met Gabe and Crystal.
From the moment this story begins we experience what occurred in book one from Crystal’s point of view. Although you can read this book as a stand-a-lone, I would recommend you read book one.
Crystal and Gabe end up working together at Gabe’s family practice. The chemistry between the two is electric and the banter at times is laugh out loud hysterical. Both have their issues, but work through them.
I fell in love with Gabe who had been hurt by his fiancée leaving him at the altar. When speaking with his cousin he discusses Crystal and states, “I can’t breathe without her.”
We still get to re-visit with Hailey and Jenson and the rest of the gang. I did not want to put this book down and was sad when it ended. The great news is we get Blake’s story coming in book 3. Fortunately we don’t have too long to wait, as that book releases in July.
Do not wait another minute. Go and download Unexpected Love Story today!
Wow this is book 2 but this time we get the side of the cousin crystal and she meets a hot guy Gabe on a one night stand but when she goes to her new job and he’s there talk about awkward! I was def emotional reading this crystal found out at 18 she couldn’t have kids. So many surprises and twists and turns! Can’t wait to read Samantha & Blake’s story!
