A sweet and tender second-chance best friends romance that kept me entertained and engaged from beginning to end. Romance readers of all ages will enjoy this quick, clean and wholesome read with unforgettable characters and a beautifully written story that will warm your heart and leave a smile on your face. I look forward to reading more from this talented author. I received an advance reader copy of “Unexpected Events” from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I really liked this story.
The characters were well developed, and their personalities match them perfectly
It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it.
The plot and the storyline were very descriptive
I would definitely recommend this book.
A sweet read dealing with the small town of Magnolia Harbor and it’s citizens. The author has done a nice job of telling a story with heartache and how they put it back together and the problems that come with it.

A short but certainly beautifully written love story in which Cord gets a second chance to win the trust, and love, from Mia. I myself do not believe in a god and therefore found chapter 4 a bit too related to faith. However, I thought Mia’s forgiveness was nice to read, and if she needs a god for that, who am I to criticize?
Cord has found a very original way to ask Mia for marriage and to give her a party

Unexpected Events is a quick read. It is a best friends to lovers romance with interesting characters. Cord had to really work to regain Mia’s trust. This book is just the right length for when you want a quick break in your busy day.
Small town romance at its best. Wonderful characters you fall in love with and a fantastic story line that pulls you in. A great, sweet, clean second chance romance you’ll be glad you read.

Magnolia Harbor,, a small town with people who know how to care for each other.
Mia and Cord had been best friends since first grade, and she is devastated when he leaves her without any explanation, not only just going, but leaving her to pay off a huge debt, which they were supposed to have shared.
A few years later she still has bitter feelings towards Cord, but being a grown-up means you listen to explanations., so when Cord meets her at a New Year’s Eve party, she agrees to listen.
A nice short story of a second chance, of missing someone badly and of friends becoming lovers.
Well written and entertaining.

This is a sweet and clean romance novella, part of the Magnolia Harbor series. As to be expected from this author, the story is sugar sweet and clean. It is a predictable storyline, yet still enjoyable. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
Everyone does stupid things occasionally but Cord really outdid himself, he just disappeared from his best friend since grade school’s life. Five years have passed since he just walked out leaving Mia with a mountain of debt and no explanation. Sophie Mays does a good job letting us into Mia’s heart when Cord suddenly reappears. This is a look at his attempts to get Mia back. The characters are all well done and the story line makes sense. I enjoyed this book.
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

Unexpected Events – This is a quickly read, sweet romance between old friends. The characters are believable without any stupid dialog or actions. The storyline is interesting. A nice story for relaxing with a cuppa. I contacted the author to review her books and received this through Booksprout. 4*
Christmas Wishes & Heartwarming Kisses – A collection of six stories by an author I haven’t read before this collection. The Introduction has overviews of all six books, which I appreciate knowing about a story before I read it. All six are clean, quickly read and interesting; perfect for relaxing with a cuppa. Needs minor editing. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 4*

Santa Baby, Maybe –
Scottish Holiday –
Christmas Wishes & Heartwarming Kisses End.
To Love … and … Renovate #2 – I didn’t get to read the first book of this series, which I think would have made this book more meaningful to me. Well written and easy to read with likable characters and a plot full of happenings. Of course, there’s wedding details still to be completed, working at their jobs and trying to wait for the wedding night, why wouldn’t there be drama? But there was fun and laughter, too. A good balance throughout the book. I liked Virginia’s calm approach to the wedding preparations. Oh, don’t forget the elephant in the pink tutu – the renovations. I appreciate this being a clean story, which only needed minor editing. I found this book on Booksprout.co. 4*
Mia’s New Years Eve starts out terrible when her date Andrew stands her up and she runs into her ex-best friend Cord at the party she planned. He ran away five years ago leaving her to deal with the expense for their apartment and the unresolved feelings she had for him. Now he’s back and wants to win Mia heart this time. This was a clean second chance best friends’ romance.
Allow a long afternoon for this family-friendly tale of a broken friendship and what happens five years later.
