Sheriff Liam King has spent the last several years as a lone wolf. After losing his wife he figured love was a thing of the past. Until he finds himself the center of two handsome men’s attention, that is.
But he’s too old for them, right?
For Jax Holden, Echo Bay is all about new beginnings. He loves his job at King Me, the local pub, and is finally learning that he can take care of himself. … that he can take care of himself. Until his roommate leaves him and he’s left finding a home or a new job to afford the rent. When a new friend offers him a room, he realizes that maybe he’s ready to forget his past and learn what love really means.
Of course, your past always has a way of coming back to haunt you.
Talon Walker is the strong and silent type. He owns his own tattoo shop, The Inked Kraken, and spends his free time with his best friend Jasper, trying to avoid his loneliness. When he sees Jax in need, he offers him a place to stay, making his home a little less lonely.
What could go wrong?
Talon and Jax find themselves falling for each other, but something seems to be missing. When the two new roommates find that they both keep eyeing a certain Daddy Dom type, they formulate a plan to make the rugged sheriff their own.
But can three men with complicated pasts find happiness together or will life pull them apart?

Minor Issues:
I finishing the book, I still have a little bit of an issue with the way this book opened/opens up, I kinda want to say it’s a ‘generic/common/casual’ contemporary intro to a book, that doesn’t immediately grasp my attention but rather loses it.
(But thats just Me, cause I tend to get bored easily if my attention gets diverted aka I do suffer from the “Ooooh Shiny” disorder Lol)
It’s gotta get my attention from the very first sentence.
But because I’m familiar with one of the authors, I push through the intro and through all the way to the 30% part (around chapter 8) of the book, at which point the book flowed much better, became more steady and less awkward.
The plot/synopsis did/does grasp my attention.
I did have a weird problem focusing on knowing who was whom in the very beginning, I had to reread it a few times cause I almost couldn’t tell each character apart and there were too many characters too early (in my opinion, but again that’s a Me thing).
I had to refamiliarize myself with everyone again (that I knew).
But for those who haven’t read the first book, while you don’t have to, I would recommend reading the first book in this series.
I understand that every character needs a backstory and in this they also have common friends, my issue is is that there are a lot of ‘friends or just random people’ that belong to each main character, that I have to figure out and remember who belongs to whom in certain situations. I know they are entitled to having their own friends cause its 3 different lives, but there are a lot of people in this book.
Liam, Jax & Talons book felt a tad muddied cause there was a lot going on, even though I did like what was going in the book I couldn’t give this book a full 4/5 Star Rating.
I did have a bit of an issue with age deciphering, everyone felt like they were the same age (very young sounding: Late 20’s-ish), but clearly Liam cannot be in that same age range, not that he has to ‘act his age’ it’s just in some areas he felt portrayed very young and not as mature sounding like I was expecting.
I have never been much into the male, male trope but I gotta say J.J. and Suki have pulled me out of my comfort zone with their Echo Bay series. This book was totally unexpected and gave me so many feels. It was sweet with tragic pasts intertwined to create a masterful piece of work that I know I will treasure.
I really loved this book! It is emotional, but funny as well! It is an awesome love story and the characters are fantastic! Give it a try, you’ll love it too!
**Trigger Warning- there is talk of abuse of mental, physical and psychological. **
Okay, so I have recently started reading MM books like within the last six months. I am not going to lie, this is hot. It is well written. I am literally jealous of the fact that I want to live in Echo Bay and be inducted to be a part of their friends and family. This book had be laughing out loud, wanting to kick a characters but for messing with my friend and just admire the fact that love is mysterious. Liam King was once married and has kids but he knows a good looking when he sees them. He does Jaxtyn and Talon. This Silver Fox loves to be called Daddy and it is hot. Be prepared to go on an emotional ride while these three learn to love. I cannot tell you how awesome this story is and the bonds that are forged. We get a happily ever after. I cannot wait to see who the next book is about. Please don’t make me wait to long.
