Unenchanted
I cannot put this book down! It has been sitting in my kindle library for over a year (i received it as a free book) and I finally decided to start it to help pass the time on my 3 hour road trip and I cannot get enough. I love anything to do with fairytales and this book is right up my ally. Mina is an average girl who’s life goes …
I’m going to recommend this even though I only made it 3/4 through! (I know, I’m sorry! I got busy!) I though the premise was super original and fun and perfect for teens.
This book is an absoltue page-turner from the beginning & I would definitely reccomend it for all readers who are packed for action! This story is also filled with fantasy and fairytales for all those readers who are stoked to join the journey of enchanting fairy tales (for example, me). A certain breathtaker for sure! #fairytalefantasy
Grimm fairytales are fascinating on their own, but this clever story elevates the entertainment to amazing new heights. My first Chanda Hahn book and I am officially addicted! She is such a talented story-teller!!
Who doesn’t love fairy tale retellings that happen in the real world? This book is similar to Once Upon a Time. We follow Mina as she learns about her family’s heritage and what she has been tasked to do. There were plenty of twists and turns. Looking forward to more!
A great story for the young or the young at heart. Beats the fairy tale twists on TV as it has a realistic quality to it. While it does not cover all the fairy tales in one book, which would be impossible, it does finish the fairy tales that are involved in this book. So you have a completed story in each book. Thank you. linda
Wonderful book by Chanda Hahn. I got it awhile ago when I was looking for new books to read. Once I decide to start reading it I was hooked. I could not stop reading it until I got to the end. UnEnchanted is a twisted version on the original version of Brothers Grim. If you like reading twist versions of fairy tales then this is the book for you.
Such a fun story. Cannot wait to read the next in the series!
Love this plot of this series! So imaginative and fun!
This was the first book I’ve read lo from Chanda Hahn and I fall in love with her writing. I love fairy tales so this book was perfect. The story was fun and different from other fairy tale books I’ve read which is what I loved about this book.
Enjoyable YA read! A good weaving of story…
I can not love this book more than I do right now. I love Chanda Hanh’s writing style and her ideas of taking fairytales we grew up with and turning them into these amazing stories. Mina is such a strong character and you are easily connected to her from the beginning.
I love everything except the many spelling mistakes in this series. It’s a great story and includes the awkward things all teenagers go through in addition to the magical experiences.
The has interesting plot. Even there is a climax in book but it seem that there will be no happily ever after
From the book cover (original) to the story line, Chanda Hahn takes your favorite Grimm Fairy Tales and spins them into a beautiful web that is An Unfortunate Fairy Tale series. The lead role in this series goes to young, Mina Grime who seems to have weird things happen around her too often. I honestly have never wanted to portray a character as …
This was such a great start to a new-to-me series. I just loved Mina and all of the supporting characters. Chanda has a wonderful writing style. I highly recommend for adult and YA readers!
Enjoyed it but felt it ended too fast. Know it’s a series and while I don’t like cliffhangers this book didn’t feel like a lead on to other books. Liked the twist on Grimm’s fairy tales and can’t wait to see how others in the series are brought in. liked that the situation was explained succinctly so the reader is caught up and jumping into the …
This book is such a great set-up for the start to the Unfortunate Fairy Tale series. Mina Grime turns out to be Wilhelmina Grimm, and the Grimm curse has now found her. Her goal? To complete all the Grimm tales…without dying and saving her brother Charlie from the curse in the process. Jared, a Fae who seems to have the knowledge she needs, …
I found Chanda Hahn because of this book, and it drew me in from the first page on! Everyone should read this book!
This was my first Chanda Hahn book. I love that it is a new take on the Grimms fairytale. Poor Mina didn’t know what she was in for when everything starts changing. I really felt the book flowed and made me want to read more. It made me feel like my bad luck isn’t so bad
