The conclusion of Luc and Natalie’s story, in the House of Sin series, simply shredded me. Where Forbidden and Deceived were a roller coaster ride, Undone is a straight free fall. No bungee cord. No harness.
It’s cringe worthy, gut wrenching, and magnificent all at the same time. This book is not for the faint at heart. I would love to say that I read this in one sitting, because it is that good. But honestly, at one point in the book I had to put it down. As much as I wanted to find out what happens next, this book put me through too many emotions. What these characters endure to be together and what they sacrifice for each other, is humbling. I wasn’t sure how this would wrap up, but the ending (get your tissues ready) was worth it.
I have been reading Elisabeth Naughton’s books for a few years now. Mostly the romantic suspense and a few paranormal ones. This series, by far, is one of her best.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
I just loved this story. It had all the elements of a awesome book, from the first to the last. This is the last of a trilogy, and I am so honored that I could be part of group who had the opportunity to read it. It is well written, and all the characters are well developed.
I was so full of angst and wondering how this was going to play out for Luc, and Natalie. The story started with Natalie being kidnapped, and what leads to a a dramatic series of events that had me on pins and needles. I can’t imagine going through what she went through and watching her husband go through such a ordeal of pain and suffering.
Luc’s Father and Mother get the prize of being the worst parents ever. Geez… I can’t even imagine..
I am not going to go into detail of all, but I will say I had to put the book down several times, just so I could breathe.
It is horrifying and yes, you will want to keep reading, it has suspense, action, drama, lust, hate, deceit, lies, and love.
I was so emotionally involved in this story.
You will not be sorry to get it and read it. The finality of Luc and Natalie.
I received this book as a gift, and volunteered to give it a honest review. Thank you Elisabeth for a well written story. You did not disappoint.
This book is extremely difficult to review. As it is the conclusion of a three part series, it is necessary to read the previous two to understand what is going on.
Many characters in the book tell the protagonist, Natalie, what a strong woman she was, but I didn’t see her that way. In fact I saw her as quite the opposite. The male protagonist, Luc, has a total personality change during the series which I also found hard to accept.
The first two thirds of the book was similar to the second book in the series, back and forth self doubt issues. The romance in this book was seriously lacking and though the sex was supposed to be hotter than ever, for the type of book, I found it very tame and washed out.
The books last 25-35% was much more interesting and exciting. Naughton found her strength again at the end in the twists of the story, but the conclusion seemed rushed and too easily tucked away.
I do think the series is worth the read however. Naughton develops some interesting characters in her writing. I for one, would love to see how Ariana turns out.
Give it a try and I think you’ll be intrigued enough to want to see how House of Sin evolves.
An action packed, mind-twisting and absolutely fantastic grand finale to this wonderful series.
This is a darkish romantic suspense with some truly evil characters and very unexpected plot twists. It is the third and final instalment of Natalie and Luc’s story in the House of Sin series. A tale that takes you on one heck of a tumultuous ride before reaching a very unexpected ending. You will need to read both Forbidden and Deceived before this, but it is a series that is well worth the time and effort.
At the end of book #2, Luc was facing the consequences of his unauthorised marriage to Natalie, whilst she was being kidnapped. This story picks up almost immediately with Natalie being taken to witness Luc’s harrowing ‘cleansing’ and punishment. The injuries Luc is left with are not only physical but also affect his psyche and emotions. Can Natalie bring him back from the brink? Will they be able to repair the damage to their relationship? What lengths will Luc go to in order to keep Natalie safe?
Be prepared for several fairly graphic scenes of both non-con and dubious consent. What keeps the book from being very dark is that we witness most of the scenes from the ‘partners’ point of view, rather than from the victims. This pair really put me through an emotional wringer as they battled both their demons, each other and the evil that is House Santini.
This story kept me gripped from the first page to the last, the writing is excellent, the characters are believable and very likeable and the pace just meant I didn’t want to put the book down. The action is pretty much non-stop with the plot holding plenty of surprises that I just didn’t see coming.
It’s a pretty steamy read, with some quite violent scenes and sexual assault scenes, so it isn’t a read for the young or the fainthearted. I do recommend it though if you love a story that will suck you in, keep you on the edge of your seat and take you on a wild and exciting adventure.
Wow! If I could give this book more than five stars, I would. The storytelling ability of this author is so amazing! The series should be a movie! This is book 3 in the House of Sin series and it features Luc and Natalie. The drama, the action and the plot twists had me constantly gasping. The romance is deep and beautiful as well as soul crushing and heartbreaking.
I highly recommend this entire series. The story line just gets better and better with each book. The characters are either so good that hope reins at that moment or they’re so bad that you feel all hope is lost. BRILLIANT!
An easy read, i was drawn in by the characters and the steamy desire building between them. I’d like more sex but that’s just me. I liked it enough to finish the series. I am intrigued to find out what happens.
I literally binge read this series. I was so captivated the I could not put the books down. One lead to another and another.
Make no mistake, this is a dark romantic suspense story filled with treachery, betrayal, deceit and danger. But, it’s also a story of a deep, abiding love between two people who are each other’s destinies. Though this story is malevolent, sinister, and at times brutal the underlying theme here is love, their unbreakable love.
There are lots of plot twists and turns that will keep you mesmerized. These characters are fascinating, dynamic, complex, and strong. There are some heart pounding moments as well as emotionally charged moments. I was elated and moved to tears as this final story unfolded.
WOW!!!!
This series was absolutely amazing!
This was a new take and something different that your normal run of the mill romance. It kept you hooked and turning the pages from the very beginning, which I love. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat and you don’t want to stop reading because you just have to see what happens to the characters.
I can’t wait to get more of this series from Elisabeth Naughton.
Dark, dangerous and oh so exciting! With the next book in the House of Sin series, we pick up Luc and Natalie’s story where it left off in the previous book. Danger abounds, deceit is plentiful and life isn’t going to be easy for them no matter how they look at it! The story is fast paced, action packed and we reach a satisfying ending after much strife, pain and heartache! Enjoying this series!
She’s supposed to be safe, but people aren’t playing by the rules any longer, and danger is as alive as ever. She’s given up everything that she knew prior to him, and only wants to be safe and able to build their love … but forces stand in their way time and time again.
He’d agree to anything in order to keep her safe from the monsters that surround him. He’ll withstand whatever they throw at him … as long as she’s waiting at the end of the tunnel. More sacrifices than he ever imagined end up having to be made … and they have to be torn apart to come out whole at the other end!
Undone by Elisabeth Naughton
Series: House of Sin 3
Rating 2 Stars
This is the third book in the series and again it starts where the last one ended, so you will need to read the first two to understand what is going on. Now what to say? First off, let me say, this genre of romance is not for me. I like flirty, happy, funny romance books. This is not that. So why did I read this book.. well, I wanted to see how the series ended. I wanted to know if I could like Luc and Natalie together, and if I could even respect Luc, as in the other books I didn’t. My verdict… sadly still undecided. Luc seems to have changed a bit for the better in my mind. He hasn’t done anything horrid in this book, though I really cannot abide the rules of his “House”, nor can I fathom how he lets the “House Rules” control his life. Also, I had trouble identifying with Natalie, as I could not be in a relationship like this. For me not being on the same page with either character, made the book a bit of a hard read for me.
The story seemed to be primarily made up of sex, self doubt, self incrimination and.. more sex. To be honest I started skimming the sex scenes as there were too many for me. The last quarter of the book picked up pace, with a bit of suspense, and for me, a few WTF moments. I was somewhat ok with the ending. I can see Luc and Natalie love each other and that is a positive, though having read almost everything this author has written, I had hopes for something that would leave me feeling relieved or happy. Instead I am almost mad at what life looks like for these two. The sacrifices they have to make, all because of his HOUSE… ugh. I can’t. I am not a fan of living your life by other people’s rules.
I know this sounds like a negative review, but please keep in mind, that is only because this is not the type of romance I like. I read romance to feel the happy butterflies in my belly and to be left with a silly grin on my face. A large plus for this book is that Naughton’s writing is easy to read and her words paint vivid pictures, those aspects together make it feel like you are in the pages of the book and part of the story. If you like dark and twisted romances with lots of sex, and cultish type rituals, you would probably love this book! I see others have reviewed it quite favourably.

~Paragraphs and Petticoats~
I must admit I wasn’t really sure if I could go through this series in the beginning. The first book, Forbidden actually had me wide eyed and shocked with all those cultish rituals that the House of Salvatici practiced. Natalie James wasn’t expecting anything that bizarre when she applied for a job in Covet, a fashion modelling company managed by Luciano Salvatici. Book 2, Deceived was equally gripping and stomach churning, after Natalie learned the truth about her boss. She soon realized with unease and trepidation that she might never get out of this deadly situation she’d gotten into.
Undone, the last book in the House of Sin series was mind blowing and heart stopping. Luciano’s love for Natalie was tested with excruciating pain and I myself felt sick after reading all those unbelievable torments that they had endured. For a moment or two, I had doubts about their happy ending because as I perused the pages, the possibility of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel was next to nothing. I was fully invested in this series that I felt like I was already part of the story. I felt the characters’ pain, I felt their sorrows, I felt their fear and I felt their hope.
I know this is the end of the series, but I am still clamoring for more. I feel like there’s still some unfinished business.. Like what happened to Dante and his new role as Grand Duke? And then there’s Arianna, who knew more about the House than she should. And their evil schemy mother! I feel that she still has something up in her sleeves even after Luc had silenced her with his wrath. I’m so thrilled though, because I will get to see and read more about Felicity and Marco and the House of Merrick soon!
For the nth time and counting, Elisabeth Naughton continues to make waves in the dark romance genre. Like a master chef, she always brings something new to the table and makes sure everyone gets a taste of her fine novels. You can never go wrong with Naughton.
4.5 stars–UNDONE is the third instalment in Elisabeth Naughton’s contemporary, adult HOUSE OF SIN erotic, dark romantic suspense series focusing on twenty-four year old, American Natalie James, and thirty-two year old Italian businessman Luciano ‘Luc’ Salvatici. UNDONE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book two DECEIVED.
NOTE: Due to the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers including strong language, and graphic scenes of rape, torture, and abuse.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Luc and Natalie) UNDONE follows the battle between Luciano Salvatici, and the House of Salvatici, one of the five powerful Houses of the Entente (informal alliance) in positions of control. Hundreds of years of deviance, power and sacrifice have culminated in a struggle between good and evil wherein evil will continue to reign unless the right man steps into the job. Hoping to protect the woman he loves Luc Salvatici will make a decision that could ultimately destroy his relationship with Natalie, and thusly any hopes for a happily ever after.
Throughout the story line Luc and Natalie will come face to face with the monster of their dreams. Luc’s attempts to protect Natalie from harm cease the moment he gives himself over to the House of Salvatici. Our couple will be caught up in a world of evil and deviance, power and control. No one is safe including loved ones and family; allegiance and honor are at the heart of centuries of dark secrets, and immoral and malevolent acts of brutality and corruption.
UNDONE is a vastly dark and passionate, heart breaking story of one family’s spiral of damnable acts of vicious behaviour. Elisabeth Naughton pulls the reader into the ultimate story of betrayal and horror, and the path our hero must navigate to save them all. The premise is edgy, riveting and dramatic; the characters are charismatic and inspiring; the romance is provocative and intense.
Undone, the final installment of Luc and Natalie’s story. It hit many of the boxes I like checked when finishing up a series that involves the same two lead characters for all the books. I was cautious, happy, sad, sick, terrified, somewhat unsatisfied (all those deserving did not get what was coming to them) and very satisfied at the same time. But oh boy, can these people keep secrets like no one else I’ve ever seen, heard or read about. And the ‘surprise’ surprised me! I feel as if the very end was wrapped up a little too quickly, like there should have been more to it than there was. But in saying that, the loose threads did get wrapped up very nicely.
Undone is the dramatic conclusion to Elisabeth Naughton’s House of Sin series. Buckle up buttercup because you’re going on one heckuva ride. This story is the ultimate rollercoaster ride of emotions, twists, turns, action, drama, heartbreak, suspense and swoon-worthy romance.
Excellent character development and an edge of your seat plot kept me engaged throughout. Right up until the unexpected ending. Perfect ending to an incredible series!
OMG! I after finishing Undone I feel like every step of the way I have been shattered only to be put back together again. I hurt with Luc and Natalie, I rejoiced in their love, I felt shattered at the lengths Luc went to in order to ensure her safety, and I was put back together at the end of this amazing story.
Again, this book picks up right after the end of Deceived (House of Sin #2). I will warn you now that this book has multiple triggers, so read with care. The things that Luc’s family puts both he an Natalie through will literally break your heart. The pain, the emotional, physical, and mental pain that they suffer will shatter any reader, but through it all, the strength of their love, the bond that they share will in the end prove triumphant.
I will tell you that danger and darkness lurk around every corner, heartache and pain, jaw dropping suspense and surprises. The lengths that these characters go to in order to protect the other is a testament to the love they share.
I have been totally invested in these amazing characters since book one, sharing their emotional journey, and the one truth behind it all, together these two will always be unbreakable.
In this final book,of the House of Sin series, Natalie has been kidnapped and drugged, yet again and wakes up in another strange location. This time she awakes in a cell at House Salvatici. Luc’s mom and dad have a surprise waiting for poor Natalie, one that could possibly end their marriage.
Will Natalie and Luciano’s love survive?
This last book is possibly the best. Full of suspense, angst, murder and smoldering sex. I could not put it down! All is revealed and the answer to who killed her best friend is finally solved. You must read this one for sure!
One Hell of a Ride…
Undone picks up exactly where Deceived leaves off, and I won’t lie, there are some pretty wicked scenes right off the bat. Not that I wasn’t expecting that. Naughton has gradually prepared the reader for what is to come next in the dark and twisted world that Natalie finds herself, in a world that she despises, but is irrevocably tied to through the love of her life, Luc. I thought I was totally prepared for what was to happen next to Luc and Natalie. Boy was I wrong. As the opening scene unfolds, I realize that I’m holding my breath because it was everything that I was expecting and so much more. I have already said too much. This review is going to be short and sweet because to reveal too much will totally spoil the roller coaster ride that the reader will be taken on in Undone. The emotions that this last book elicits has had me all over the place. Isn’t that what a good book/series is all about? An author that can write a story where you can connect to the characters plight… That pulls you right into the world they live, to the point where time around you stands still? I was horrified, I was empathic, I cried, I was overjoyed, I was exhausted. I was Undone…
For those that are already fans of the series, remember to breathe. For readers that have not started the series, get ready for one heck of a ride. Last but not least, I received an ARC of Undone for an honest review, which in no way influenced my review. Thank you, Elisabeth Naughton. Wow, just wow. House of Sins is one hell of a ride.
An absolutely stunning finish to an emotionally turbulent ride
Two souls + Two hearts = One epic love story
Book one had me captivated –
Book two ripped me to shreds and left me bleeding-
Book three challenged my every belief –
Luc and Natalie are a rollercoaster of temptations and contradictions – it was so easy to fall into this series and get lost in their story –
The plot flows seamlessly-
The main charcters, as well as the supporting, are diverse and well illustrated – I found myself either loving or loathing them – sharing in their pain with each loss and their happiness with each triumph even the smallest of victories was a moment of relief
Be prepared as this is a dark journey – it will test your resolve – and at times you may find you need a moment – but whatever you do do not miss the journey that is Luc and Natalie
If you are looking for a series that will take you to the very edge and beyond – look no further than the House of Sin
This series blew my mind! So much intrigue and suspense. The connection and relationship between Luc and Natalie is on fire. SO much is revealed in Undone that I never expected. Naughton created some amazing characters and a deep storyline with this series. Once I read the first book I had to see how it ended. Couldn’t put them down! Fair warning this book is more on the risqué side and has some scenes of violence, but it’s not over done. If you where offended by 50 Shades I wouldn’t recommend this book BUT if you felt 50 Shades was on the tame side then you will love this series.
“Undone,” by Elisabeth Naughton is the third book in the House of Sin series and the conclusion to the story of Natalie James and Luciano Salvatici. This book, their story, left me completely undone!
Best-selling author Elisabeth Naughton finished what I think may be her finest series yet. Filled with twists, turns, suspense and romance, “Undone” lived up to my expectations. Naughton is a creative master when it comes to romance. In the House of Sin series, especially the last book “Undone,” Naughton kicks up the heat in Natalie and Luc’s steamy romance. But the erotic scenes are not what kept me reading. I was enthralled with the storyline and characters who are caught in a twisted world of evil. Seriously, what author can successfully mix erotic romance with suspense? Elisabeth Naughton can.
After all Natalie and Luc had been through in the preceding books “Forbidden” and “Deceived,” “Undone” kept my heart pounding and my mind racing because I couldn’t predict whether they world remain together or if the vile and sinful world of Luc’s would destroy them as individuals and tear them apart for good.
