They used to be the perfect team.
Two years ago, songstress Sidney Higgins ruined her life by sleeping with not one, but two of the famous Reckless Beat men, Mason Lynch and Sean Taiden. Their night of intimate celebration turned into a worldwide sensation when the video Mason vowed to keep private was uploaded to the internet, destroying her squeaky-clean reputation and turning the world … world against her. Now she’s broken and left without hope, trying to find the one thing that can get her back on her feet.
A mistake neither one of them is willing to forgive.
When the sex tape went viral and his best friends held him accountable, Mason bore the stigma of asshole with pride. Now, bitterness has destroyed him, driving away his muse and making him worthless in the industry he loves. There’s only one option left to reclaim his creativity, but that would mean collaborating with a woman who wants to castrate him with a plastic knife.
A palpable chemistry even hate can’t diminish.
Forced to work together, neither one of them is prepared for the undesired lust which immediately takes hold. The lies fade away, exposing the truth; however, it also awakens a threat from their past. The person responsible for tearing them apart is back to ensure they don’t rekindle a spark. With their safety in the balance, Sidney and Mason need to determine what they’re willing to risk to reclaim a relationship they wish they’d never lost.

Normally when I get to a third book in a series I think where can the story go and what else can happen to this band of guys who are more like family. Well we can get an absolute beauty of a book I absolutely loved this book I won’t say it’s my favourite out of the series because they have been all as good as each other with such different storylines.
This one started off very hot and scandalous and you could see why the events of 1 mistake killed a relationship between band members and Screwed with another’s career and we were taken on one hell of a journey to read how they got back to being who they used to be.
I felt for Sidney she had loved a guy who had ruined her career, lost her family and friends and had one person in her life who she could depend on. I felt that she was strong character even though throughout the book she never saw herself as strong and she had built a wall so high that I thought nothing and no one would get through it. It was so good to read about how she came through the darkest part of her life and for her to realise she could be happy and deserves to be happy.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to react to Mason, he was a bit of a douche in the other books and I couldn’t really see him redeem him self, he never took anything seriously and really just acted like an idiot. He lost a lot of respect from his band mates and he was hiding secrets that would help these relationships but he kept them to himself, but of course Eden Summers knows how to write and made me fall in love with the lead singer.
Sidney and Mason go through hell and if your looking for a fantastic written book that gets all the emotions going from hate to anger to sadness to laughing then this is your book with twists and turns you don’t see coming.
Just a note that I am so glad Sean’s book is next as I really felt for him in this book and I just want to see him happy. Again we got read about the other members of Reckless Beat and their other halves it was perfect.
5+++++++++ Stars from me
Eden Summers hits perfection with Undesired Lust. A tale of star crossed lovers who defy the odds. Mason is depicted as a selfish egotistical bad boy who doesn’t care about anything but getting laid. Sidney is Mason’s kryptonite. She’s the one woman that he can’t have. Sidney is a strong, smart, beautiful, talented woman that has a private passionate moment in her life posted on the Internet for all the world to see. This indiscretion causes her to lose everything and everyone in her life. Two years later, Mason and Sidney are forced into a working relationship that brings all those bottled up feelings from the past to an explosive breaking point. Jealousy, miscommunication, and a stalker take this story on a roller coaster you cannot get off, until the very last page. I look forward to reading the next book in the Reckless Beat series.
“His muse burst to the forefront, crooning song lyrics in his mind.”
Until his muse deserted him, left him, along with the love and friendship of the woman he thought he could never do without.
Two years ago, after a night of celebrating a Grammy Award for their collaborated song, the music world’s angel, Sidney Higgins, spent the night with not only Reckless Beat’s lead singer, Mason Lynch, but also drummer Sean Taiden. At the time, Mason was overcome with inspiration and wanted to capture his evening with Sidney for the future, knowing more lyrics would come to him afterwards. Unfortunately, that private moment went public, via a leaked upload, killing not only Sidney’s reputation, but her career as well.
For Sidney, the degradation and emotional suffering, the financial cost through the loss of recording contracts, as well as the loss of family and friends was for more devastating for her than the boys. By all intents, the band came off relatively unscathed.
No one truly knew or appreciated the personal cost to Mason though. “He’d been judged by his so-called friends within seconds, announced guilty within a breath, and like Sidney, his life had never been the same.” And now the stress of his absent muse just might break him.
As Mason comes to terms with his feelings for Sidney, she begins to realise that it’s time to pull up her big-girl panties and start to be responsible for her own life, rather than continuing to hide. Trouble is, the original threat is still there, and is starting to ramp up their actions.
The emotions of our three characters are high, but are punctuated by moments of humour and sharp witty comments. Sidney can’t deny her love for Mason, although she knows that Sean would be a better man. On their part, both men struggle to repair their friendship after the betrayal of the tape, and try to regain the friendship they once had with a songstress that just makes their albums sound so much better. Hot rocker romance that is highly recommended. 4.5 Stars.
My least favorite book in the series so far. Such an emotional read. Sidney got on my nerves. She was a mess. Loved the ending though.
