Fun, entertaining, and time-travel! I love it! This was fast-paced with plenty of action, I love this book. I was hooked immediately/from the start wanting to know what happens to Alfred! This is fabulously written, as have all of the books, with an awesome cast of characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This time our hero and heroine may be in over their head, literally!
This is book seven of the series and it is still going strong. The story works just fine as a standalone. You will miss out on some of the history if you jump in here, but you can always go back and fill in afterwards.
Who knew that discussing taxes could be funny? This SF time travel novel proves otherwise, as our hero plays the perfect straight man and provides plenty of humor as a result. The story is well written with a fun plot that has lots of twists and turns to it and lots of well developed characters. I still love out hero and heroine after all these books as they still manage to make me smile at every turn. All in all, another wonderful read and I hope they just keep coming.
Highly recommended.
I received an ARC through Story Origin for review purposes.
For the record (and yes I have to say this everytime), I received an Advanced Review Copy of this book with the request that I leave a voluntary honest review for other potential readers. So, having said all of that, here is my honest opinion and review of this book. I loved the story. The humor and sarcasm were just wonderfully entertaining. The time traveling plot is well thought out and wittily demonstrates the butterfly paradox in action. I found Winthrop a bit annoying but Alfred and Nancy are great characters. Justin, on the other hand, wow, what is with that guy? Though I have not read any of the other books in the series, I nevertheless had no trouble following along or understanding the premise or the characters. The writing is great and easy to read. The pace of the story is excellent and flows well. It was a pleasure to read this book. Definitely time well spent. I look forawrd to reading the other books in the series.
Rachel Ford has succeeded again in writing a brilliant and amusing tale about time-traveling tax agents saving the day, or in this case, the Ancient World. Justin was deliciously awful as usual, and Alfred & Nancy perservered their way through a bureaucratic infinite loop and got ahold of some fun Halloween costumes in the process. I would give this series far more than 5 stars were it only possible.
I received a free copy of Underwater & Overtaxed, but that did not affect my review.
Set aside a long afternoon for this family-friendly look at tax law in the kingdom of Atlantis featuring Alfred Favero and Nancy Abbot.

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
In “Underwater And Overtaxed” Ford delivers a cracking good entertaining tale of Alfred and Nancy’s further exploits.
Ford continues her superb world building and character development in this further installment of “The Time Travelling Taxman” series.
I find this an interesting exploration of “States Vs Federal”rights and power sharing.
On this mission to save the Island of Atlas it looks like Alfred is going to “strike out”, can he hit a Babe Ruth like Grand Slam to crack the case instead of striking out as Casey did in that legendary poem? Grab this entertaining book and find out.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.
