“When your mate is involved, history doesn’t have to repeat itself…”Heartbroken after a divorce which stunned and confused him, Rhett Lewis returned to his job as a Chicago PD detective, only to find himself in a situation he wasn’t expecting. His partner and best friend was gone and no one had the answers to satisfy his mounting suspicions. Charlotte Pinkerton had been partners with Rhett for … partners with Rhett for seven years, both bears from the same sleuth, coming up the ranks together. No one took it as hard as Charlotte when Rhett’s wife filed for an ex-parte divorce while working undercover.
When Charlotte was presented with an opportunity to finally close the chapter of Rhett and his estranged wife forever, she snatched it up, regardless of the danger it presented.
But when Rhett learns about this operation, he must race against time to save only one—the partner who has always stood by him or the wife who abandoned him.
Author’s Note: This is a stand alone romance with and HEA. Intended for 18+.

Detective Rhett Lewis is still grieving over the end of his marriage to Mia, but his partner, Charlotte Pinkerton, is not going to let him wallow in misery. He grudgingly goes back to work, but finds out that Charlotte has been reassigned and no one will tell him any details.
I enjoyed the building connection between Charlotte and Rhett and the appearance of characters from First Shift and Rookie Shift. Mia Taylor has created a novel that has suspense, romance, and threads of a larger story within the series. I can wholeheartedly recommend reading Undercover Bear.

This is a great story. The characters have substance and a little mystery. The storyline has twists and turns that you don’t expect and keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. Which cover is the truth? What will be discovered? Great read with emotions to make your heart beat faster.

I’m in. This series looks totally interesting! Rhett reeling from his wife, Mia’s request for divorce after being undercover for three years is a bit raw. His partner of 7 years suddenly mysteriously sent undercover. He just wanted to ensure she was okay. What could go wrong? What on earth could happen stepping into an UC op with no intel on circumstances? Compromise case? Compromise agents? Suspension? All characters part of the team seem worthy of additional stories! This was a good, exciting, intriguing story. Good setup for probabilities. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksrpout for a review.
I don’t understand. Why would a Bear marry someone who he has not told them about being a Bear and then divorce her a few years later? Was it one of those that one liked her and the other half didn’t? Crazy. Then there is Charlotte. She has been with Rhett since they were children and a partner for the last seven years as a cop. Now all of a sudden she is not there. Very different story but it has a lot of meat to it. Exciting and the danger of undercover work is there. A very good story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Charlotte was always there for Rhett, no matter the reason. She was there when he married Mia and when his marriage fell apart. When she suddenly disappeared for a work assignment, Rhett realized how much she meant to him. It was the fear of losing Charlotte the same way he lost Mia that finally had Rhett admitting that Charlotte was his mate. I laughed at every illegal move Rhett pulled to find Charlotte. Mia was a total sociopath and was too far gone to ever be saved.

Mia, known as Stephanie Rizzo, was roughly grabbed by Big Earl and Carmen and driven by Caddy to a country club where something, she wasn’t sure what, was supposed to happen. Would Victor have her killed at a country club? She had been an undercover cop for two years now on this case. Did they find out? The maître d’ who greeted her at the door had a big smile and led them to the dining room. When she saw Theo Susi, her boyfriend and the don’s son, she was alarmed. She was in jeans and a sweaty tank top, while he was dressed in a tux and surrounded by his family. Saying he needed the theatrics so she wouldn’t suspect anything, he got to one knee and proposed to her! Without waiting for her ‘yes’, he pulled out a ring and put it on her finger. Theo’s mother glared at her and demanded she hear the proper answer to show she actually accepted his proposal. But even then, she glared. Mia felt faint. They would have to pull her out of here quickly. She was in way too deep. Or did she really want to leave?
Detective Rhett Lewis’ partner, Charlotte Pinkerton, banged hard on his door. When she insisted he let her in, she was disgusted at the squalor he had been living in for the past two weeks. She told him to get a shower while she cleaned up the mess. Then they were going out to eat and drink, whether he liked it or not. He wanted to be alone, but the mourning was over, she said. He had two weeks to ignore her emails and phone calls. Now he was going to get out of this place. She tried to talk to him, but he didn’t want to discuss it. But once in her car, she started again. Mia had filed for divorce online, never contacting him personally. It was cold.
Charlotte took him to a shifter bar, hoping to get him snapped out of his funk.
Sergeant Kramer called Charlotte into his office. An Intelligence officer, Sergeant Kelly, had an undercover assignment. They needed someone to go in and find out if Mia had flipped or if she was still working for the police since so little important information was coming in now. Charlotte thought it was a suicide mission, but if she said no, Kelly said they would send Rhett in to spy on his ex-wife. Charlotte knew they were jerking her around, but she shouldn’t let Rhett face that woman again. It would destroy him. So she agreed to do it. Was this a death sentence for Charlotte? What would Rhett do when he found out, especially when he realized that Charlotte was actually his mate from the start?
This was a good book. The story line had good pacing, the tension keeping the reader thoroughly involved as it played out. The main characters were well depicted as they each showed their personality through their actions. Don’t miss this exciting story – so many possibilities are waiting to surprise you!
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Undercover Shift by Mia Taylor is Book 2 in the Bears In Blue series. Rhett and Charlotte’s story had me hooked from the very first page. The story was so well written that I could see it running in my mind like a movie. With action, romance, sexy shifters and a touch of spice, this is a quick read that is definitely worth your time. While there is an underlying plot, these books can be read as stand alone.

You know that a book really had you engaged when you get genuinely upset with the characters as if they were real people. This one had me wanting to smack Rhett and Charlotte in the back of the head a couple of times. So, yeah…I liked it. Quick-paced and packed from start to finish, this was a good afternoon read. Also, a nice cameo from August in Melissa, the main characters from the first book in the series and some clues to an overarching upcoming cataclysmic event. Enjoy!

Rhett, a bear shifter, is shocked when his wife is serving him divorce papers. Realising that she was not his true mate he tries to rally by putting all his effort into work as a police officer. His partner is also a bear shifter, but when she goes undercover he realises how much she means to him.
Entertaining, funny at times and sad at times, it is a good book, well-written and well-balanced with a good story-line

Would you break the law to help your partner? Even if YOU’RE a cop?
I would too. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
I love these Bears in Blue books. This is the second and I absolutely love these stories. They’re perfect you while away the little time I have to myself. And I can’t recommend them highly enough. Why? Cos it’s not just the men that are kicking butt and forgetting to take names.
Go on, you’ll enjoy it
Undercover Shift by Mia Taylor is a wonderful story that I loved reading. This is book number two in this wonderful series, I love reading this story cause it was about bear shifters. I highly recommedn this story to everyone who loves reading about bear shifters.

i really enjoyed this book. it has a lot of twists and surprises. not what i was expecting at all. i would def recommend this book, Mia Taylor is an excellent story teller!
Good book, but I can’t help but think that Rhett is could of slow or stupid to not realize/know that Charlotte is his mate. This book is filled with action and intrigue, I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
A good addition to this series. It was a nice quick read, action packed with a little steam. I loved the story line and characters. Always a fan of shifters and Charlotte is a real no nonsense kind of gal shifter who is no push over and can be just as vicious as any male. Rhett, a shifter who is equally strong and ferocious, finally realized that Charlotte was his mate and was willing to risk everything to see to her safety even if it meant tackling his ex-wife. The characters personalities really bring you in and makes this a very enjoyable entertaining read. Definitely worth reading.
Undercover Shift is book two in the series Bears in Blue by author Mia Taylor. This book captures your heart and imagination. Just think for a moment- your other half has always been there-just not. I know it’s a bit complicated and confusing. But the answers are here in the pages.
And there’s more – mysteries and something is coming are these exceptional characters up for it??!!
Enjoy!!

many changes are coming. for one, Mia goes undercover with a crime family – and gets in really deep.
Deep enough that she likes her life and wants to keep it. Husband? That would be the new man in her life. What will her current husband say?
Rhett ? Not so happy – and he did not reveal to his wife that he was a shifter. Breach of sleuth covenant if he did.
But what about his partner, Charlotte? Detectives together, and friends since childhood. Rhett cannot stand to lose her too.
Things get complicated when under cover officers, and under cover feelings come to light.
Looks like more changes might be in store ahead for a lot of shifters.
Sounds like a bumpy ride, that could only benefit from more allies.
If you like action, adventure, and steamy connections, read on!

Mia Taylor does it again. This book is a romance with a difference. Super characters make the story flow through some wonderfully unexpected twists and turns.
The first few paragraphs set the tone for my addiction to a story that kept me reading to the early hours of the morning.

Spoiler alert!
This book started out as a pretty straightforward police/shifter story. It was a fast read but lacking in depth or character development. I could accept that and just enjoy it for what it was – light entertainment. What I couldn’t figure out was the HUGE confusing shift in the last two chapters. Suddenly the story turns dark and ominous with a “split” between mortals and bears, warnings of a war coming and stockpiling or prepping as we mere mortals would say. The Rand character turns from a side note to some sinister mastermind with a one sentence “bears without mortals” line the only indication of his motivation. Sorry, but this one needs a rewrite I’m afraid
