An interesting spin on the traditional Cinderella story
Different twist to the plot….an entertaining bit of fluff!
Two thumbs up!!
An interesting take on Cinderella It did hold my attention and was a fast read
This is a great book
Love Undercover Princess by Lenora Worth. She is one of my favorite authors. She writes such wonderful romances without the need for graphic sex scenes. Just classic love stories.
Light reading and predictable. But nice to read for relaxing
Great book. Want to read the next book when available!
cute story.
It was a good story but the ending had no suspense and it could have been a real exciting ending. Plus one more chapter could have placed half siblings in interesting positions in the store.
This variation of the Cinderella folk tale is repititious, not well written and predictable. The author should know that the. Amen of a Dallas, Texas lake is White Rock not White. The idea is clever, but I was not impressed by the writing style.
Predictable
Short and sweet read based in Dallas, which grabbed my attention. I love how it had a Cinderella type theme. It was so well written and what one would call a “sweet read”. I look forward to Annabelle story next and also reading other books not related to this series ,from this author. Happy to find a new author for me.
A delightful story Undercover Princess by Lenora Worth, book one in her Castles of Dallas series, is reminiscent of a fairy story. Think of Cinderella with the wicked step-mother, step-siblings, and Nico Lamon as the prince trying to fit a pair shoes onto one of the women attending the one-hundredth anniversary of the Castle Store’s opening with a Valentine’s Day gala. Eleanor Castle, aka “Ellie Sheridan”, was in attendance undercover trying to gather evidence against her evil step-mother Caron and return to her rightful place controlling Castle Department Stores. Trying to stay in the background doesn’t work when Ellie is forced to try on the shoes and they fit her, and only her. Ellie was to become the Lamon Lady, spokeswoman for Nico’s Lamon line. This leads to a wonderful and sweet story about forgiving oneself for their past mistakes, finding the perfect love and discovering that alternate paths can still get one towards their goal. Nico and Ellie were sweet together and perfect for each other despite the obstacles they and Caron put in their way. I also enjoyed seeing the step-siblings, Annabelle and Aidan, grown-up and wiser to the ways of their mother.
I loved reading this story. Ms. Worth is an excellent storyteller, keeping me interested in this story so that I had trouble putting it down. I highly recommend this outstanding book to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
