Sweet and endearing story. Eleanor Castle returns to the family business, she is undercover and out to have revenge on her evil stepmother! She learns to appreciate her step siblings and finds love with Nico.
First time reading this author. The character we’re well developed. This was a good read.
Great premise. However; there are lots of jumps and assumptions. It needs more explanation on what she found on the step-mother. It also needs more connectivity. This could be a great book if it had more on the legal issues since the character had a degree in criminal justice. Still a sweet story, but could use some work.
Easy read. Whimsical and light humor
The book kept me hoping for a happy ending and it did have one. The character Eleanor was written so well that the story came believable.
Good reading!!
Another princess story, but it was entertaining and had a different slant to it.
This is a modern day twist of the Cinderella tale. Eleanor Castle return to Castle Department Store as head of security, but in reality it is just a cover for her sleuthing to discover why the store is failing. She also meets Nico of the House of Lamon and is coerced into trying on his specially crafted red Lamon shoes and proclaimed the Lamon Lady. She evades Nico because her identity can not be made known while she does her research. She discovers that her stepmother has been involved in embezzlement, forgery, and been overlooking a shoplifting ring. Meanwhile Nico becomes her prince. Her stepmother is taken to the police station and the Nico and Eleanor decide to join forces not only in work but in life as well.
Great read!
This book was an easy read. I loved the characters and fell in love with all of them. There is some suspense and atso e point you just can’t put the book down. This was my first book by this offer and I can’t wait to read her other books
Nice book with likeable characters. This is basically a modern day Cinderella story. Predictable but a pleasant read.
It was great use of a great fairytale. I enjoyed reading this book.
Quick read!
Great writing and a wonderful story.
Ok read
One heroine that doesn’t really need rescuing! HEA.
A clean read with a story that is possible. The characters are built nicely and the location is described such that this old ex-Houstonite recognized the area.
If you like to read fluff this book is for you. No details or true story line created. Fairy tale with happy ever after ending.
A sad attempt to cash in on the Neiman Marcus legacy! This Dallas girl didn’t like it!
Way too predictable! Boring read! I ending up skimming A LOT just to finish the book.
Very good
