I have read and previously reviewed all of these novels, and each one is fast-paced, suspenseful and romantic. The plots revolve around FBI agents and the people they protect, whilst many times being a target themselves. The books are somewhat interwoven, but all of them are well written and standalones.
Don’t Let It Show: The relationship between Sam and Gail takes off immediately as Sam rushes in to protect Gail when disaster faces her. Despite his odd family, or because of it, Sam is a strong hero as he takes the steps necessary to keep Gail safe. Her kinfolk may not have been flesh and blood, but they were spiritually and emotionally closer than any family. Gail is therefore devastated when betrayal raises its ugly head and she is left with the choice to protect those she loves in a decisive manner. Agents from upcoming novels are introduced into the story in this initial story in the series.
Eyes of Jade: On the eve of a new adventure, actress Eve Knight discovers that her life is in danger. The most likely suspect has to be one of her most trusted family members or her closest friend. Assigned to her case on the anniversary of the most devastating day of his life, Jake Dane doesn’t have time to put up with an actress who has an attitude of entitlement. However, after spending only a few hours in her company, Jake discovers that Eve is one of the most down to earth people he has encountered, and much against his will, finds himself falling for her. Escaping from one disaster after another, Eve’s feelings become involved as the strong, silent agent not only keeps her safe but tends to her most basic needs.
Angel Eyes: Having seen hell and lived to tell the tale, Roy has decided to hang up his badge and pursue a normal life. His encounter with the Angel he met 20 years previously makes him realise that dreams do come true. However, the sweet girl he first encountered on the rooftop is now a widow, a mother and above all a woman who has determined never to give her heart again. Twenty years as an undercover agent has taught Roy about patience and as he determines to wait her out, Summer comes to the realisation that the man who saw her through one of the darkest nights of her life has come to stay. As Roy makes inroads into Summer’s life and reaches out to her teenage children, he finds fulfillment in becoming part of a family.
Lying Eyes: In this fast-paced, suspenseful novel the past comes back to haunt Agent Manny Ramirez on more than one front. There is the issue of his father’s conviction, the murder of the perps he has previously brought to conviction and the woman that invades his dreams. As an FBI agent, Manny is far from ordinary, but his feelings and reactions to past events are as normal as the next man’s. Faced not only with the knowledge that the father that he has hated for years is in custody, but he also has to face the fact that the only woman he has ever loved is his attorney. This novel is fast-paced, highly emotional and romantic. Manny is a flawed hero suffering for the sins of the past whilst Harley emerges as a woman made strong by the circumstances she has had to face.
Eyes of a Stranger: On the run and not knowing whom she can trust, Cat eventually risks everything and contacts former agent Roy to give her the assistance she needs. She discovers that those who should have her back are not to be trusted, but that the old vanguard is still there to be called upon and willing to give her the backup she so desperately needs. Installed in a penthouse overlooking the city, Cat experiences safety for the first time in days but when a stranger walks into the room she is occupying, her training kicks in. Parker arrives home in a drunken haze, never expecting to find a stranger in his home, but when she makes a compelling argument he agrees to give her the asylum she needs. When the past crosses paths with the present, Cat accepts that she has lost the one chance that she might have had at loving Parker, but Parker is devastated with the revelations that come to light. Parker is an imperfect hero and yet he draws the compassion of the reader as he struggles with his loss. Cat, on the other hand, is quite capable of taking care of herself, and yet she needs Parker to fill the desperate needs of her heart.
I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

What interesting men and the women who will love them. Their world is full of suspense and action. What could be better than 4 novels in one book. Fantastic!
